I’ve been getting my cuts from Oz at Alyoz for almost 10 years now and I couldn’t see myself going anywhere else. They make sure I walk out satisfied with my hair every time. On top of the fresh lineups, it’s also a spot where you can gain some knowledge, chill, laugh and discuss. I couldn’t recommend a better shop or group of guys.

Overall great experience! (My son uses this service, Barber is Osmon)My son always likes his haircurt!Booking via Booksy, Osmon schedules his appt accurately- very little wait. The shop is clean. There are positive and uplifting shows being played on the TV. In addition the shop also has books for younger kids to read! Great job.

Osmund is always on-time for my appointments, he ensures he understands how I want my haircut before he starts, & he offers recommendations to enhance my haircut and make it unique. As a woman, I appreciate the soft lines he uses to frame my face.He also offers various ways I can pay for my services in case I didn’t have time to go to the ATM for cash.The shop’s environment is professional & educational as well. He has a bookshelf for the children to read while they wait and he’s always playing a motivational lecture or podcast which sparks great conversation.Temperatures are being taken and physical distancing is enforced in the barbershop.

This guy ruined my haircut despite showing him a picture of me with the hairstyle that I want. Definitely not a professional barber because his lines on both sides don’t match. He shaved one side off more than the other. Even though he was using something for measurement. I won’t be returning here. Thank you for ruining my photo shoot by the way 😏👎🏼

Moved to jersey with no barber to cut my hair the way i like. Walk into this shop and immediately i can tell from the vibes that these men can cut hair really well. Go there you wont be disappointed.

For our sons first hair cut this place was good. I wish the barber would be a bit more personable. The other guy who worked next to him actually seemed to be more approachable. That part for me is important, especially when Im letting you touch my child. My husband and I are very protective and energy is everything to us. The place has a afrocentric pro black feel. There was positive speaking on the television which was great. The place needs a bit of a face lift though. Some of the chairs were busted. Maybe a womans touch on the cleaning would help.. The prices were affordable. Between $8-$10. We gave over the amount asked and a tip just because of who we are.

Al-Lateef put a brother together with the best haircut I had in years! Blending and solidifying my natural line seemed easy for this man, whereas others insists on weak fades and pushing lines back. I have to say, I thought this was going to be a bad experience but it was good. I just recently moved to the area from Brooklyn and wasn’t too sure about Jersey barbers. Was specifically looking for good black barbers in the area (Newark seems to have a lot of Latino establishments and for me personally, they be messing up my hair). These barbers were very professional and knew what they were doing. I wasn’t waiting too long and I think that was because these barbers are very efficient in their cutting. Some barbers like to take years with one person. These barbers get you in and out while still making sure you walk out looking good. I was in my moment with the old school R&B music they were playing which was very tasteful and appropriate for everyone there including young children. My only issue is I made an online reservation and what I realized is I guess nobody really uses it. So I just went with the flow and waited my turn. It was all good.
