Visiting Newark for first time for daughters graduation and had the good fortune to stumble into this shop. Had a great visit with with owner and he did a fantastic job on an old white guy.

Super friendly atmosphere and the barber gave an amazing haircut and beard trim! From out of town but will def go back if im ever in town.

If your looking for a great cut, chill environment, but most importantly a welcoming environments then New wave is the place for you. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave it feels like you’re with family. I Highly recommend checking it out if you are visiting or live in the city of Newark.

I am not happy at all with this establishment, the owner tried to hustle me. I had been to the shope three times and paid 15 dollars for my hair cut, on the fourth time the man says hay you have been paying 15 your cut is suppose to be 18 What???? Black owners will definitely try to get over if you let them. I will not be going back I dont care if its a 3 dollar difference, it my money!!!

Best barber shop around but that one guy at the end talks to much and he thinks hes tuff. I love that place.
