Wendy is very sweet and thorough. Probably the most comfortable wax I’ve had. Clean and cute aesthetic and relaxing atmosphere. Not at all like the doctors office feel of many other places. Her wax is for sensitive skin (but not hard wax) since she prefers the other type. She works alone so I’d recommend an appointment but if you call ahead she can also tell you when to come so you aren’t waiting! Great experience - I’ll definitely be back!

The best waxing experience I’ve had in New York! Wendy works quickly and thoroughly. She also makes sure to make the wax as painless as possible. The establishment has a very relaxing atmosphere. An autoclave is used to disinfect tools and she also uses gloves while working.

I have been to many different waxing salons in my life in search of the perfect brazilian. Wendy is the best. She is experienced and thorough. The worst feeling is getting a wax and realizing later it was done incompletely. That never happens at My Afterglow and that’s why I keep coming back. I purchased a deep tissue massage on Groupon the same day and I was happy that she was able to accommodate me. The massage was awesome! She used as much pressure as I like and continuously checked with me to make sure I was comfortable. The massage felt amazing, Im truly relaxed and the conversation was great. The place was a bit difficult to find but I called and she gave me detailed directions and landmarks. Inside is very small but cozy and clean. I will return.

I went to My Afterglow small space but Wendy was very nice. She cater to your needs when requested. I did a Groupon for a Brazilian bikini wax as well did extra service for underarm being waxed. She was very hygienic and neat about it. The experience was a bit painful since it has been a while since I last did a Brazilian bikini wax overall Wendy was attentive. She accept cards but theres a fee and if you want to tip preferred in cash. Overall great little spot and experience is good. Be mindful when it comes to reschedule your appointment let her know 24 hr advance.
