I had a really pleasant experience by end Jan this year at this store.. as my first visit! I have to say Calgel is so different and works much better for me! My nails feels much stronger than using shellac. Iβve seen Japanese artist using this type of gel and finally I got one for myselfπThe artist at this store is so careful, attentive, friendly and helpful.. I was unsure about what color/style/decoration do I want and she is really patient, bringing up every adorable stuff she have and we design it together! Didnβt expected that the process will take as long as 2.5hrs!! But the result is so adorableπ€©shiny shinyπ€©I was doing heavy hand work so few of it started to fall 2 weeks later, but with a little golden nail polish itβs perfect again, and the rest of them last almost a month.. and still looks pretty because of the gradient design. this is amazing.. never have my shellac last this long beforeπ€― I highly recommend themπ€
Iβve been going to Viblissimo for many many years now, when it was sakura and beyond. Every technician is highly skilled and everyone is always friendly and helpful. I refer everyone there. They also are taking covid restrictions seriously and keep everyone safe, which is appreciated. What I think people donβt understand is that this isnβt a regular, walk in and get a mani-pedi salon. You come here if you want Japanese calgel. I highly recommend making an appointment. Also depending on your art choices, you could have a 3 hour appointment. You come here if you want meticulous, skilled nail art. Yes, they have regular polish, you can get that, but the real star of the show here is calgel. Also, they only do manual removal and non-toxic products.
Junko was awesome! It was my first manicure but like she took really good care of me. She checked in, made sure my nails were perfectly rounded off, actually complimented how well a shape my hands were in given someone who never had manicured hands (I at least clean up my cuticles and apply oil) and buff and file my nails as they grow). We had a neat little convo here and there. Overall though, I appreciated her and my first experience too.
This is the best nail salon Iβve been to in nyc. Junko is so accommodating, creative and kind. The staff are so welcoming and fun, and whatever you want done they go above and beyond to help get you there. I love this spot so much! Highly recommend.
Soooo I havenβt been here in a hot minute BUT I plan on heading back very soon .. the very best calgel (soft acrylic style) in the city hands down! Artist Maggy is my personal fave. Style and technique legit. Highly recommended
Love this place. Not sure whats up with some the other reviews, I think they come here thinking its a regular nail salon and it isnt. Sure they carry standard polish, but thats not what you go to them for.Make and appt, try their gels. They specialize in permeable gels. Which dont damage the nail unlike shellac and other cheap gels or dips.Ive gotten beautiful gel extensions here and with the calgel polish being so healthy, Ive now grown the longest & strongest natural nails Ive ever had. Thus no longer needing extensions.
Gel manicures are good... regular manicures are subpar. overall service is pretty slow.
Maggie is my go to gal but all the nail techs are precise and do a great job for all their clients.
Decided to check this place after reading the great reviews and liking at the pictures. Sara was very nice. I wasnt sure of what I wanted but we both worked out. Shes very patient and detail oriented. Her mother was so nice. Im very satisfied with how my nails look. I cant wait to go to work and show of my nails.
Love! Love! Love! Love, this nail shop. The owner is super friendly and Im notorious for just showing up as a walk-in so its nice that 99% of the time, they manage to squeeze me in! You guys are awesome! Im always satisfied with your nail technicians and Tammy is my favorite!
Iβve been coming here for years and theyβre the bestβclean and friendly with very talented nail art technicians.
You must go here for Calgel! They also gave me an appointment last minute and I wasnβt disappointed. Super detailed and fastidious care π
Hands down the worst manicure experience Ive ever had. The manicure (pre-polish) took 2.5 hours for 2 manicures back to back (should have taken 1 hour max). The actual nail polish is so old that it wouldnt spread and began immediately bubbling. There was hair or fibers flying around the salon that kept getting stuck in the wet polish. I requested a refund and was told that they would not refund me even though it was bubbling and wouldnt dry and instead offered a gift card (to come back and use the awful polish again). Never again.
I love this place! The best nail gel in NYC! They are very professional and extremely meticulous. You must book ahead - they rarely have same day appointments available.
Great work, professional and friendly service. Watching them work on their nail artistry is breathtaking. Highly recommended. Cant wait to return!
I walked in at 10am on a Saturday for a basic manicure. The woman at the desk told me they didnt have any openings and that the next opening would be 4:15pm!! I thought she was going to say, wait 20 minutes... There were only 3 other customers in the salon at the time. The place looked nice, but is it appointment only? No one even bothered to explain it to me, and it doesnt say anywhere on their website. Its a bummer that they couldnt take me because it is close to my apartment and could have been my regular nail salon.
The loveliest city nail spa Iβve ever been in. Totally zen and using the most gorgeous products.
I have worked here and highly recommend this place. It doesnt get too much more professional than this and whether or not some people agree because of a booking experience they have had. No wonder, if they are always booked and I can tell you that every customer is satisfied, leaves with a top notch job and feels better leaving then when they came in. If they wouldnt be okay with squeezing in a walk in and run the risk of pushing it or being worn out for the next appointment because if you were the next appointment, youd understand and be thankful that she showed up ready and geared up for the next hour she was going to spend meticulously perfecting your extensions and nail art...no,... nails are not that serious, but life is and if you take it seriously then this is the place for you otherwise pop in to any shop for a 20 min manicure. Everyone needs a quickie sometime, some people live off quickies. All Im saying is to understand whats what. Great service hands down the best work Ive seen and by the way, pay the extra for the calgel, its worth it.
Best mani pedi Iβve gotten in nyc and all nail polish is non toxic.
Expensive, but probably the best mani pedi that I judge others in relation to - lasting through a wedding party weekend and a move (survived packing and unpacking, I cant say the same for all my glasses)! Definitely make an appointment, especially if youre planning to splurge on nail art.
They were very friendly but I was not satisfied with their skills..-They filed my nails too much that my nails broke after 3days and I could not do gel nail anymore (I was told to wait till nails get recovered in different salon after)-I got glitter decorations and that was not painted in flat.-I asked for another cup of tea and she did not change tea bag, just put hot water to the old one although she brought my cup to the kitchen. so the tea tasted just like hot water, not tea at all.For their skills and services, I think price was totally over priced. (with tip, I paid over $100)
Amazing talent. Nails never look better.
Good Service and reasonable price in Manhattan.
Unfortunately, couldnβt be seen at 1:30pm on a Thursday. Seems like they are by appointment only. They only had one customer in a chair. Super disappointed.
Nice salon, clean & friendly. Recommend.
Nice people respectful nice service
