Working at Behavioral Associates was the ideal internship opportunity for an undergraduate psychology student. My time there allowed me the opportunity to understand different aspects of the inner workings of a therapy office in more depth, on top of inspiring an interest in alternative therapeutic methods to helping clients. The individuals who work at the office are open, kind, and direct, offering one on one support when needed. They take the time to describe what is expected, whilst bringing you into the cohesive environment within minutes of working there. I would encourage anyone pursuing a degree in psychology to consider this internship.
The front desk was warm, professional and very helpful. Overall great experience!
Another psychologist that only accepts 1 or 2 insurance providers and expects everyone else to pay $250 cash per session. Any doctor would agree that mental health is just as vital as physical health, so why do they discriminate so unfairly those out of network or too poor to afford it?
When I first met everyone at Behavioral Associates I was immediately given a warm welcome by not only people at the front desk, but by all of the staff I interacted with in the office. Starting the mental health care process can be very intimidating, and being welcomed by an informative and helpful staff makes all the difference between finding the necessary care and feeling invalidated. Accomplished therapists like Anya Shumilina and Natalie Wallace expanded my understanding of not only CBT, but DBT as well during group therapy sessions and individual talks. If you are considering visiting Behavioral Associates I highly recommend it for both new methods of tackling mental health care without medication and passionate workers to facilitate the process.
This place is a waste of time and money, they over charge you and all what matters for them is your money. They will keep you coming for many session to make you pay out of Pocket and never accept any insurance. Becareful there
I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with behavioral associates. The therapists are professional and intelligent and have given me the tools I need to deal with daily stresses. I am in a much better place because of them. I highly recommend.
Behavioral associates provides a safe and comfortable environment for me. I thought the therapists were engaging and really took the time to take care of me mentally. I would definitely recommend this agency for those looking to seek services!
Behavioral Associates has been instrumental in the development of my understanding of my mental illnesses and behavioral health. Dr. Reiner, Brieanna Scolaro, and Dr. Speken have all been so helpful in my progress and I am very grateful for their efforts.
Behavioral Associates have changed my situation from hopeless to hopeful. I am still a work in progress, but I am improving after every session. The staff is very professional and caring. I highly recommend Behavioral Associates (especially when you have already tried every conceivable option!)
I was dealing with a bad nervous breakdown and felt like I was lost with no hope until I found Behavioral Associates. From day one Dr.Reiner and his staff made me feel welcomed and safe. The therapeutic sessions, tools and friendly environment helped me to overcome my depression and anxiety and I am in such a better place now. I still have monthly sessions and at each session I learn something new in dealing with day to day life events that produce stress and anxiety. I am so grateful and thankful.
I had a very bad experience with Dr Heather Davidson. They called me at 1:30 and i went there at 1:20 they made me fill the form and i was put into the docter, she hardly spoke to me for 7 minutes, she was in hurry to go to the meeting, she assured me that she will find a therapist for my daughter, she gave me her number. I told her about the condition of my daughter which was quite worse. But its been one month and 20 days i couldnt hear anything, i called her several time but didnt get any response. Another thing is that they made me paid there for the consultation telling me that i have deductable from insurance and again claimed from the insurance. I talked to the receptionist and explained her and she told me she will refund me. Such an irresponsible act, i am very annoyed and disgusted.
I received treatment for fear of flying here and am extremely satisfied. The sessions definitely helped me face my fear and realize that so much of it really is in my control.I recently returned from an overseas trip and whenever I felt anxious I listened to the recordings and did the deep breathing exercises I learned at Behavioral Associates. This allowed me to relax, something I have never been able to do on a plane before.
This place was a game changer for what I needed. I got support and anxiety that was worth my money. Highly recommend compared to other places in the area that charge a lot for very little.
I must say this place has truly changed my life. After suffering my whole life and then having what Id consitute as a mental breakdown, Im living generally an anxiety free life without using medication. I thought this would never happen, but behavioral therapy is something I recommend to everyone around me!!The staff is not only friendly, but they are relatable and talk to you in a way that doesnt feel like the other stereotypical therapy offices. They just get it and treat you like the human you are!Anya is amazing and I couldnt be more thankful for her compassion and knowledge. Give it a shot with them!
I cant speak for adult treatment but for my child, this was a complete waste of time... half a year that we wont get back. We came in with a diagnosis and to receive treatment and they refused to treat him for that and wanted to treat him for something else because they dont believe it and were positive neurofeedback will almost be a cure after 40 sessions with results after 10-20. They showed us the results from before and after 15 sessions and how amazing he was doing but it showed no change on my childs everyday life who is struggling with self control and focus... when I wrote his therapist saying I wanted to discontinue the sessions I never heard back from him, like my child didnt matter at all! This is a childs life you could be saving... dont bring your children here they dont care they just want to collect the money. Its sad. Most of the therapists dont even have their own license yet as theyre working under the owner/ Doctor of the practice.
This place is amazing and you really get a lot for your money . I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to write one after meeting Dr Robert Reiner.
I was having anxiety, panic attacks and insomnia last year and started seeking help from the experts at Behavioral Associates. Dr. Reiner performed an intake eval and then properly matched me with Anya who specializes in these types of conditions. I am now a much more balanced, mindful and calm person who feels empowered with an armada of useful strategies and techniques to manage and regulate stressful situations in my life. I will say that I believe my own personal investment in this process (I did homework, reading, exercises--I treated it like a course/education) has also contributed to my successful journey through a durk tunnel and into a more calm, inviting and optimistic world. The staff at Behavioral Associates is fantastic, and I definitely recommend Dr. Reiner and his team to anyone who is looking for support and help in whatever they may be going through. If youre reading this review and trying to decide if you should seek therapy or not, I would say do it. Whats the worst that can happen? Youd go a few times and then decide its not for you. Whats the best that can happen? Your life changes for the better and theres no turning back, only looking forward.
I attended this clinic for a few months and had a great experience overall. I do agree that the focus is very much on neurofeedback treatment; I was not entirely sure that this was for me. The recommendation was for sessions 2-3 times a week, and at $350 and hour it would be an understatement to say that this is a challenge on a student budget. Let alone the time commitment. Be prepared for this.Whilst my therapists were young, I dont think it is doing them justice to write them off as inexperienced. Alex and Pamela are very professional, highly qualified, intelligent, and caring. Group DBT therapy with Dr Scott Lloyd is relaxing and illuminating. The psychiatrist, Dr Speken, is outstanding.Something that bothered me was the policy of charging a penalty fee for missing a group therapy session with less than 48hrs advance warning. Seemed too stern and sort of insensitive. Nonetheless when I expressed my dismay the charge was lifted and an explaination was given. If you have the time and means and you are serious about self-improvement/ getting better I do recommend Dr. Reiner and his team.I hope to return at a less turbulent time in my life to reap the full benefits of treatment here.
Bad experience! in my opinion it was very unprofessial, expensive and i didnt know more when I left then before I went there...
