My team and I came to NY for an expo and stayed at your establishment. 1 person in particular stood apart from the rest. Anna at the counter was an amazing ambassador of your brand and NY city. She was always available, gave us great advice on where to go while in town. We had shipments come in and she was first to alert us by name when we walked back to hotel. Thank you Anna and keep up the amazing work.
Positive: For us, location was very important. The hotel was located near the stops, Subway, and taxes were everywhere. We did especially like our housekeeper, Marina. She was attentive and kept Our brand sparkling clean. Negative: We used the quick coffee shop in the hotel once. It was extremely high price for the product. The barista¿s were very nice and the place was clean.
The location is absolutely perfect! I mean, everything is so close. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They are also very accommodating. Took my fiancé here for birthday trip and he had a blast. I would stay here every time I visited NYC. This would be my #1 choice!
Right place, easy access. Good hotel. Clean.
We stayed here for 8 weeks in February to April, 2021. We were always treated like family, by ALL of the staff. That being said, a special shout out goes to Veryl, our housekeeper. The woman is a gem: Does her work as well as Michelangelo painted the Sistine ceiling. And the location! At the cusp of the residential upper east side, and the mighty midtown east business district! The location was awesome, even for a jaded New Yorker, such as myself. We live on the upper west side, but were gonna come back for a stay, just for the fun of it!
Very pleasant stay. Located right next to a subway stop. Waking distance to Central Park, Fifth Ave. etc. Rooms were spacious for 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids). View was good unlike many other NYC hotels where all you see is the building next to you. They have pre-negotiated daily parking rates ($45) with a garage within 4 min walk. Was the best rate I could find from all my search. Please note that you cant take the car in and out once you park. Staff was friendly. Would definitely come back.
This hotel did not meet our expectations. There was no water bottles in the room, no mini bar and no tea bags. The service was quite sluggish. We requested for tea bags and toilet paper (which should be extra in the bathroom!) but they didnt bring them to us, so we had to walk back to the front desk and ask again. The strangest part was parking. When I called, they said itd cost $55 or $65 per day depending on the size. However, when we arrived, there was another company (SP+ parking) managing it. They said this is the cost of keeping the car 24hrs in the parking without moving it but if you want to take the car out in between you should pay more. Its bizzare! Ive never seen anything like this in any of the hotels Ive ever been. At the time of check-out the hotel wanted to charge us $65 and when we told them its $55 they said oh yes youre right!! When we wanted to get our car after check-out we were standing in a line for one hour because this parking only had ONE worker to serve the customer. Thanks to God we drove to NY cause if we had a flight we wouldnt make it.I dont recommend this hotel and I wont stay in it ever again.
Staff was very professional and friendly. Standouts were definitely the ladies working the breakfast/coffee area who were so kind to our kids. The rooms were larger than I expected for Manhattan and the facility was very clean. Gym was being remodeled however they made arrangements with a local gym for hotel guest to use. Will return soon.
Friendly staff, clean place. Grace was the cleaner on the floor she was great good hospitality asked if there was anything else she could do or leave to make the room more comfortable.Beds are great location just as fabulous.. Good choice
Positive: The hotel room was spacious, nice and clean. We had a great view and was able to find parking on the street, the hotel was a great location as well.
Excellent location, spacious and comfortable rooms. Beautiful lounge area, hot breakfast. Courteous and professional staff. Walking distance to Central Park, Times Square, Grand Center, museums, amazing restaurants and so much more!! Great place for kids of all ages! We stayed with our 8 and 12 year olds. My friend stayed with her 11 and 17 year olds. We all had a phenomenal time! Great pillows and mattress! Best sleep in a while! Highly recommend!
Before I bash this hotel, I’d like to state that I’ve been traveling for business for 3 years and have stayed at many different brand hotels and many Marriot hotels in general. This particular hotel gets a terrible rating from me due to their complete disregard for their guests in case of emergencies. I had a 3 night business stay with this Marriot in Manhattan Midtown East, and on the eve of my checkout, had to be rushed to the ER upon which I was admitted for emergency medical care followed by recovery. My drs called this hotel to explain the situation, upon which I was granted a 4 pm late checkout towards my “Elite status” with Marriot (not because I was in a life threatening medical emergency, mind you). My spouse was supposed to arrive from another state to help out by 5 to 6 pm so naturally I asked the hotel for just another 1 to 2 hr extension owing to the circumstances. The manager said he needs the room as they are fully booked, AND needs to charge me for half a day. I understand the need for the room, and we were planning to give it up anyway. Charging us for half a day seems morally wrong and extremely unfair. I will never book a stay with this hotel again, and Marriot will not be my hotel brand of choice moving forward.
It was good location, nice room and awesome view. However the walls are paper thin and I heard yelling and voices loud all night. If you are OK with noisy neighbors then go for it.
Location was right near metro station. Easy to get to anywhere we needed to go. The room was clean and cleaned regularly. The only reason not for 5 stars is front desk was often overwhelmed with guests and were not always able to help me when I needed. Reception area was small. Also the hotel smelled very strong of marijuana. I don’t know if cleaning crew used it while cleaning or some guests near me were using it.
Large rooms, friendly staff. The furniture is a little worn, but its still a nice place. Convenient location, and right next to a Duane Reade. Would stay again.
Stayed in a couple of Marriott in New York. This was a really nice experience. Room was sizable, cafe was great, and staff was very nice. All and all felt like a great experience for the money.
Poor Value. Room was worn, furniture old and tattered. Bathroom products cheap. TV selections limited, and poor. Tree Tea oil shampoo - terrible.Toilet so noisy that when you flush, it wakes the other person up. Poor antiquated shower, with poor, old ergonomics. Breakfast, expensive and terrible. Terrible coffee, and terrible muffin. No robes, overcharged for my parking. Other Marriotts charged $50 per day, this one charged me $65 per day. Staff was very good, but overall $500. for two nights -- not worth it at all. I expect better as a BonVoy memeber. Give this one a miss. C-
I had a great stay. The staff are awesome. There were a few minor things I wish were different. I didnt have a microwave in my room. You actually have to share the microwave thats on your floor in the hallway. I also had a broken shade in one of the two windows. As bad as that sounds the room was clean and nice. I would have given 4stars but for the amount of money I paid I would like a working shade and my own private microwave.
Check-in easy and early check-in prearranged. Clean comfortable room.
Not bad, desk chair for working on computer at night very uncomfortable and old tattered seat, no skirt to cover bed springs either.
The hotel is very nice. Large rooms compared to other hotels in the area. There is a refrigerator in room, microwave in the hallway and a large screen modern tv. Great location
So far, so good. Nice hotel.
Lovely place. Very efficient, friendly staff. MiMi is a real pleasure. Lovely lady.
The rooms are nice, and quiet. The climate control takes a while to kick on and adjust. Its Midtown tho, not too far from anything and plenty of food and drinks in the area. 4💫s overall
The room was nice, but the hideaway mattress was horrible! The food at the Bistro was overly priced.
I’d like to thank the Courtyard Marriott of NYC for setting the standard of the absolute worst customer service available. If you need absolutely nothing but the room, they do have nice rooms, couldn’t complain there, but customer service was so rude and short with me and my girlfriend who had just had a major facial surgery. All we needed extra from them was for them to put an ice pack in their freezer bc icing was the most important thing for her recovery for the first 24-48 hours. They had me fill out a log to give them the ice pack and show my ID and all that, which was fine initially until I came down to get the ice pack again and they asked me where my paper was to get the fricken ice pack so I had to go back upstairs, get my paper of “proof”… again, for an ice pack, come back down, wait for the new check ins, show the paper, and wait for someone to go grab it for me, which took an additional 2-3 minutes. And this ended up being the case every single time I needed the ice pack to be refrozen. So I went and bought 2 new ice packs so I could have them in rotation and always have one waiting and they still didn’t get them to me in a timely manner. At some point I would think that they’d remember that I’m the guy who needs the ice packs but they kept it formal the entire time, making me wait 10-15 minutes at a time for them to check in the new check ins and call the person to go grab the ice packs. All the while my girlfriend is upstairs in terrible pain just wanting some relief. We eventually realized this wasn’t gonna work so I went all around the immediate 2-3 blocks to find instant ice packs, which of course were out the a-hole expensive, like $20 for 8. So essentially I bought 2 extra ice packs to accommodate her at about $10 a piece and the instant icepacks for $20, so essentially spent an extra $40 and on a tight budget that could actually be significant. But here’s where it really gets bad…. I am HIV positive, undetectable for a few years now, I had the last of my current antivirals and a full new bottle to open up when those ran out. I accidentally left the full bottle (worth $3,000) on top of our mini fridge. So in a panic I called the hotel, they transferred me to “security” and the man said “call back 8 am” and I continued to try and ask him to make an effort bc of the severity of the circumstance and he kept cutting me off and repeating “call back 8 am”. My girlfriend called back to provide a calmer voice bc maybe they’d actually care about the situation, and the front desk lady who was just trying to wash her hands of the situation pretty much said “ahhh they probably threw it away” like no big deal. Policies aside, who would throw away a full bottle of pills without trying to see what they were? Come on now we can go back and forth about what’s your responsibility as a worker but forget that for a second, your moral responsibility as a human being is what’s in question. Forgive me for making a mistake but your mistake in throwing the pills away rather than turning them into the lost and found, which IS A THING at this hotel, costs 6 times what our 2 night stay costed. I’ve had to get a 7 day supply of my meds in NJ and we’re at the courtyard here in downtown Newark now. The workers here are much more pleasant and said that they have a 30 day policy with their lost and found to allow people who stayed and left something the time to even realize that they left it. Overall the Courtyard is our favorite hotel to stay in and we have nothing but positive experiences to share outside of this particular one. I think every single one of the miserable employees I encountered at this particular courtyard (866 3rd ave) needs to pick a different line of work if providing service is something that works their nerves so much. It’s like we felt like we were being difficult just for asking for such basic accommodations. This would never fly anywhere else.
The location is great, the staff hit or miss some very attentive others on obviously personal call and totally ignore you. The room was dirty, the carpet, towels and headboards all had stains, the window ledge had marks where someone had put out their cigarettes. So sad for a Marriott, not worth the money or the points. Just a huge disappointment.
Worst mistake I made, I was staying here because I was working near the area and the kept complaining because I was coughing “too hard” I have bronchitis and I can’t control that. They were super rude and the parking guy was very rude too. I had one suit and it only had ONE TOWEL! Very awful would not recommend.
Great staff. Very attentive. Ive stayed at quite a few different hotels in NYC at various price points. There was a sincerity to the service that is just not available everywhere. Affordable. Good room size. Quiet and peaceful. Will return.
We stayed 5 days, Staff were kind and helpful. The rooms are nicely done, clean and very comfortable to stay in. I did not try the food but the restaurant looked quite nice and if I had to guess, I would say the food would match. 15 minute walk to time square.
Positive: Easy, safe, clean. Negative: sofa bed
Great experience at the Marriott Courtyard. Location was perfect, and the hotel was clean.
The staff was very nice and friendly and made sure our stay was good my only issue that I had was that the internet connection was very poor! Me and my family stayed there two nights tried to watch movies with the kids and it just kept freezing and freezing. This is not high speed internet at all
Experienced excessive noise both nights of stay due to outside construction. Unresponsive staff from manager on down!
Room had no rags or towels took over an hour to get any. Bathroom was disgusting. Hotel was just filth.
We had a great weekend staycation at the hotel. The front desk was generous about upgrading for Elite members. The room is spotless although a bit dated. In front of the main entrance there are E and M lines and more (4/5/6) nearby. There are an array of restaurants and coffee shops closeby. Also close enough to the Central Park and the shopping area on the Park and Madison Ave. I can see our family coming back for another staycation.
I’ve been staying at this hotel for years. And recently I’ve been staying for a few days a week during COVID. I’m so impressed with the level of service. The people who manage and work at this location go above and beyond to support their guests. They are compassionate and accommodating. The rooms are impeccably clean. The mask rules and elevator rules are clear and adhered to. I felt very safe at this hotel. I cannot recommend this location enough. Thank you again to the management and the staff for making my stay so smooth. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Good location. A little noisy, can hear the neighbors taking.
The only reason for the 3 stars is because of the closures within the hotel of the amenity areas - gym, restaurant, upper-floor lobby/sitting areas, etc. Marriott has been ultra-conservative on its covid guidelines which arent in synch with most other businesses, and the lifting of restrictions in general in the US. Marriott its time to lift restrictions especially as we have gained more knowledge of the spread of covid and increasing vaccinations. If I had to guess, your over-conservative guidelines are now counter-productive to getting our economy back on track.
We had a great time staying at this hotel, they had a great cleaning service. I called room service some times and they came in time and very friendly. Carpet and bathroom were very clean and that gives a good look to the hotel. It was very central and they have amazing views. I’ll recommend this place to everyone and I’ll come back again to my next visit to NYC!
Friendly staff. We had an issue with our room and it was fixed immediately thank you.
Very dissatisfiedThe phone is not workingTried calling the help desk several timesRequested for shower cap & lotion several times but not deliveredReception not accommodating at all
Blood on my sheets when I first arrived! Looks good from first appearance but when you get on the floor another story!! Everybody sharing one microwave on the floors during a pandemic!!
Positive: Location, large room and great view from 30th floor Negative: No
The room itself was decent (not great), but there was no AC in room (see pics), was dirty, smelled like mold/vinegar for some reason, bed was the most uncomfortable bed Ive ever slept on at a hotel, front desk almost non existent (took calling 5 times to get them to pick up), we got some type of parking package when we booked but then was given absolutely zero information on how to park or where or how any of it worked, then got conflicting information, overall a poor experience.
Great place to stay... front office staff is good - loading an unloading is tricky because it is on the road... there is no front lounge.. Rooms are awesome... great view from the top.... 32 floors cafe at 12th floor is pricy but great view and relaxed(get starbucks on the cafeteria - added advantage)
Front desk staff was very sweet and kind. They gave us a great room with a wonderful view. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was accommodating to my family by quickly bringing up a play pen for our infant son. This place is also very affordable. The front desk recommended a fabulous place for us to go to dinner. The place is called Gu and it is a Japanese restaurant conveniently located a short walk to the hotel. We really appreciated them considering we were traveling with a baby. In the morning they gave us simple directions to get to the 9/11 museum. One other thing I’d like to note is that the security guards in the front immediately took action when people were smoking marijuana on the same block the hotel was on. You could smell it coming into the lobby and it was nice to see the staff take it seriously.Me, my husband and our son came down to the city for my birthday only to hangout for the evening but after hours of walking around we were tired and we found the Couryard by the Marriott on google. This hotel made my birthday such a memorable day. I would encourage anyone who is looking for an affordable and clean place, to stay here.
We were visiting NYC for the first time for the marathon. We were able to walk everywhere in Mid-Town Manhatten; Central Park, The Met, Times Square, Rockefeller Plaza, 5th Avenue, Empire State Building. The subway was on the corner for our trip to the 9/11 site. A Whole Foods Market a short walk away and Ess-A-Bagel (pretty amazing bagels and sandwiches) down the block and across the street. The hotel was great! I especially loved the 12th floor that had a large lounge area with plenty of tables, chairs and couches to relax upon. Our room was spacious as well. The King bed was super comfortable, however, if you choose this type of room and plan to use the sofa bed for sleeping, you may have a hard time sleeping. Unless, you just sleep on it, as a couch, and dont pull it out to sleep on the mattress provided. You would be better off bringing your own air mattress or camping sleeping pad. Or spend a bit more money for a room with 2 queen beds which I would have been willing to do except that the room rate was already high (because of marathon weekend, I presume). Overall, a great place to stay and enjoy NYC. I hope to be back.
Nice hotel, room view was great
Stayed 2 nights. Im NOT a picky person. I just want somewhere clean and comfy to sleep when i travel. Requested extra towels upon check in and did not receive them. Requested them via chat in app again the morning after my arrival when i needed them. Didnt get a response. Chat seems to not work well here as it does at other marriott branded hotels. Takes forever to get a reply if you get one at all. Eventually went down to front desk and they finally had housekeeping bring them up. I was totally fine with not having the room cleaned during the stay i just needed extra towels and my requests were ignored. Ive stayed at many marriott brand hotels and never slept on such an uncomfortable mattress in a marriott hotel. Also the walls are paper thin. I dont usually complain about noisy neighbors but this was just crazy loud and im pretty sure they were smoking. We asked to get moved our second night because we had an early flight out and needed to sleep but they told us there was no clean rooms but offered to give us sheets and towels to take to a new room and clean it ourselves. I almost laughed like this had to be a joke. Mimi at the front desk was the ONLY friendly person at the front desk. The others were pretty rude and couldnt be bothered for simple things. Theres not many people traveling during the pandemic so why not space peoples rooms out if you know you can hear through the walls? Get some new beds.. clean the carpets (made my white socks dirty) and give Mimi a raise she seems to be doing everything the others cant be bothered to do
We loved our stay at the Courtyard Midtown East! The location was very convenient to Times Square and the subway. The area felt safe. The hotel itself exceeded expectations from the spacious clean room to the giant TV and premium Paul Mitchell shower products. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here in the future.
Overall, this property was great! Centrally located, walking distance from tons of stuff and, most importantly, the subway station, making it easy to get all around the city. The staff was wonderful and very welcoming, especially during check-in. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The only negatives of the room were that the water took awhile to warm up in the bathroom, and we were located right by the elevator which sometimes made a loud noise. Other than that, it was a great stay, and I would highly recommend this property!
Always great service. Keisha in the front desk was very nice and helpful. Big spacious rooms and very clean. We stayed here last month and were back.
Overall, had a good experience. Its location is close to subway stations, restaurants and a few blocks to the main street. I like the cleanliness of the room. Beds are comfortable including the sofa bed. No bed bugs. Heater/aircon was working. Shout out to housekeeping and to other staff. My only suggestion is that it would have been great if theres a complimentary breakfast.
Customer service is on point! The cleaning service crew is excellent
I chose the hotel on price and location and was very pleasantly surprised to discover it was much more comfortable than I expected. I took advantage of the fold-out sofa to have a friend from Indiana join me for the weekend during my stay. She was comfortable too. Having the unlimited use of a well-appointed lounge on the 12th floor in addition to the facilities in my room made my 9 days stay much more relaxed. They serve a cafeteria-style breakfast which is OK, but I found it more interesting to get a take away from one of the numerous food outlets in the surrounding streets, collect a newspaper from the front desk, and then head to the 12th-floor lounge to breakfast or lunch in comfort on my food and beverage of choice. Try the offerings from the French bakery on the corner of 51st and Lexington for something fresh and healthy.
The location and staff were both excellent. King size bed was super comfortable however the sofa bed was equally uncomfortable. Hopefully they will replace the sofa beds to a better style. Sofa was fine to sit on but not great for sleeping. Hotel is adjacent to a metro entrance and very convenient to use the subway. Several good restaurants within walking distance as well.
We had an amazing time, and were fortunate to find this hotel to accommodate 5 of us in one room. We were celebrating our 50th birthdays and wanted our trip to be like a slumber party. The room was clean and fairly big - didnt feel cramped. Sink/mirror outside the shower/toilet area which was a bonus. Location was great - closed to a subway stop, but within walking distance to a lot of notable sites. Staff was courteous and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
The suite was large, spacious and airy, with a sofa, chairs, desk and tables. It included a bathtub and quality toiletries. The room was quiet at all hours of the day. The 12th floor lounge was gorgeous and equipped with multiple recharging stations. the fitness room had large windows and was well air conditioned, making working out stress-free. The safe location puts you in walking distance to many parks, museums and entertainment venues--yet it is fairly quiet. Whole Foods and several drug stores are only a stones throw away. As if this were not reason enough to love the place, upon checking out I was given a key to the lounge so I could use it throughout the day to recharge, unwind and relax. This is a superb hotel.
While the Courtyard New York Manhattan / Midtown East was not our first option, we are glad we booked and stayed there. The hotel, while on 3rd Avenue, if you do not mind walking, is in fact central for everything, such as the Empire State Building, Broadway, the Diamond District, the Library, Trump Tower, Macys (for the windows during the winter holidays), and the great shopping NYC has to offer. The staff was pleasant, polite, professional, knowledgeable and helped with subway information and eatery selections. And the room, which was a suite, was clean, large, and better than anticipated. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
The view was great. The room was okay. It is conveniently located in midtown. I had to ask multiple time for the same thing. I asked for the room to be cleaned after a week and it was not done. Asked for toilet paper to be brought to room and it was not done until the night clerk came with it. The customer service needs some work.
Stayed in junior suite which was a great option for a family of 5. Price was definitely high but comparable to other nearby hotels during holiday season. Very clean and staff couldn’t be nicer. Food area is simple with basic choices.
We stayed for a long weekend in November and had a great experience with the staff. The location was very convenient to the subway. We arrived before check-in and were able to stay in a large lounge area where we were able to charge our cell phones and relax. The staff was friendly and helpful with local information and directions. The room was larger than we expected. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed 6 days, 5 nights in mid of August, the location is 2 minutes from 53 subway, a convenient Mart just next door. Location is very good, not far from time square (15 minutes walk), but busy enough to stay downtown. Room is very clean, maintained well. Staff friendly. Comfortable bed. The pullout sofa was not too comfortable, my daughter said she slept on springs for 5 nights. So our younger one just slept on the floor which she claimed more cozy.Shower flow is OK, I found its too soft. But bathroom is very clean and up to date.Overall, its great experience for us, thank you.
Everything you need for a fantastic stay in New York, you will find in this hotel. The staff is amazing, the rooms are incredible, comfortable, modern and well designed. The location is the best, you are in a centric point close to everything important. And even though they dont have a full restaurant, you wont miss it. Great food places are just steps or a phone call away. From now on, my family will always stay here.
I base my bookings on reviews and this hotel had mixed reviews BUT I can tell you that this hotel by far exceeded our expectations! They accommodated us with a microwave and a fan since we are from Texas and are always hot. The views were amazing as we were on the 27th floor (which I requested a top floor). The beds were comfy and the room was plenty big for our family of 5 (4 adults and 1 child) - we had 2 queen beds and a full size pullout sofa. I absolutely loved this hotel in Manhattan!!
Friendly staff.spacious rooms.
The location was perfect for theater goers. There are so many good restaurants nearby. The hotel was very accommodating with in room coffee and microwave. We enjoyed a drink in the hotel bar also. Staff was amazing.
Loved the size of the room
At every turn service was great from front desk to housekeeping.
The staff at the reception were kind, friendly and efficient. The room was spacious, with a nice view of the City, and was kept clean and cozy. The only shortfall was the sofa-bed, which was not very comfortable to sleep in.Conveniently located in midtown, it was within walking distance to Broadway, Central Park and many of the other places of interest. Access to metro was also very good. In terms of shopping (for beer, water and snacks, etc.), Duane Reade (open 24 hours) was located next door, and Wholefoods was just a few blocks away. Good place for a family, and we very much enjoyed our stay.
The hotel location was fantastic. It was steps away from the E and M train. It is above a Duane Reade pharmacy. Walking distance to the Rockefeller Center, St. Patricks Cathedral, and so much more. We had a large room- 1 king size bed and 1 pull out sofa bed. There was plenty of closet space, lots of counter space, and a mini-fridge. We were able to fit 2 adults and 2 young children, along with 2 strollers and all of our suitcases in the room comfortably. The down side is the bathtub did not appear to be cleaned prior to our arrival- with lots of hair throughout it. And the mattresses were absolutely horrible. Some of the worse mattresses of any hotel Ive been to in years. The mattress on the pull out sofa shouldnt even be called a mattress- its more like a bunch of metal coils with fabric draped over it. And the king mattresses offers little comfort and support. Both mattresses need to be replaced. Overall, I am happy with the stay, mainly because of the ease of the hotel and the space in the room. I know most other hotels in manhatten are very cramped, and this was not.
The Marriott Courtyard NY Manhattan/Midtown is a lovely, comfortable hotel located in the heart of Midtown. Getting around town by bus and subway is made easy by its location. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are large. The lobby is practically non-existent, but the 12th floor offers seating and computers for the visitors convenience. The decor is quite attractive as well. I spent a very comfortable six nights there.
We stayed there last week and they had a great service!!
Perfect will be back in the future. The location, price, and staff was great. I would finally recommend this room to family and friends planning to visit. We were located on the heady of Manhattan which was perfect for sightseeing.
We were pleased with the location of our hotel, on the 27th floor you could see the Chrysler Building out the window. Convenient places for shopping nearby for misc items (drugstore) as well as many places to grab a quick bite or cup of coffee~ (Pret) We originally wanted a place that had breakfast included but that wasnt a problem after all. Only negative was~pullout bed not ready when we got there, and it was not very comfortable to sleep on, so we took turns. (5 of us in the room) but the other beds were nice. Friendly staff!
I have been staying at this property for 10 years now and have always had a positive experience. The staff is warm and friendly, it is convenient to many NYC landmarks and MSKCC. I would recommend this if you have any business in NYC. Being right on the subway E train line makes it extra easy to get around.
Positive: My only complaint is that this hotel does not have any of the really excellent views of the New York skyline that are available from the location. A different more expensive hotel in the same complex Got all of the great views. But, this is still great.
We booked our stay for two nights and had really the best time. The hotel staff was so friendly and professional and omg the beds are so comfortable! We hit NYC really hard and were completely exhausted when we got back and felt so good that we could just crash comfortably in our room. It also came in super handy that the hotel is next to a Duane Reed and near a subway station. Would definitely stay there again!
A co worker and I stayed at this hotel on a business trip and I must say I’m very happy with this location. Besides the clean and fresh decor and atmosphere, the location is very convenient. When I was planning the trip I was expecting to have to use a lot of taxis or ride share to get around. Not the case as I thought. Times Square is a lovely 15min walk! The office we worked out of was also right around the corner. The area is lovely with many restaurant options around, so don’t bother eating at the hotel. Get out and adventure it! We only ate breakfast at the hotel, and for what is was- reheated sandwiches- it was way too over priced. For that price, walk over to The Smith.I have to call out their Wi-Fi as well cause it was one of the fastest connections I’ve had at a hotel. Great for when I had to hop on business late in the evening. If your looking for a place to stay, this site is great.
We had a wonderful experience! Salima in the dining room took excellent care of us for breakfast each day! She remembered us each day and was very sweet with my kids. All the staff were very helpful and courteous. The location was perfect for exploring NY.
The room was great! The beds could be a bit more comfortable and my TV did not work - something I hope is not reflective in all rooms. The location was great - right near the 456 train and near so much great food. Staff the very friendly. I got my room on Hotel Tonight and that was a fair price but it may be overpriced at the regular rate.
Not much to say, since its all fine and the way a hotel should be. No nonsens. Nice location. Big clean rooms. Close to, well Manhattan :) since subway, uber and your feet can bring you everywhere in max 30 min. Bloomingdales a few blocks away, 20 min walk to Central park (with 2 kids age 10/12 and 2 teenagers) We walked to Times sq, Central st. Easy and quick. Good cleaning and thustworthy staff, forgot our Ipads and 80 USD on the table inside the room first morning. Came back. Table had been cleaned and our stuff laid back, didnt bother to lock the stuff away after that. 5 days no problem.
Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay here. Great location. Staff very personable and helpful. The 12th floor lounge area was nice. Sofa bed mattress needs upgraded. Not really worth sleeping on.
Good location, clean and comfy
Easy to see right off of Third Avenue servicing Midtown and the adjoining areas of Manhattan. Parking on the Street is available but it fills up fast especially at night and on the weekends. Clean facilities with a wheelchair accessible entrance. New York City prices so bring your credit cards. Staff is nice. We will most likely be going back.
We chose the Marriott Courtyard New York Manhattan/Midtown East due to its location and amenities it offered to our family of 5 travelling. The hotel & staff were excellent .... could not have been treated better. The room actually exceeded what we had envisioned, so that was a pleasant surprise. The location to all the high points that were on our adventure were easily accessed from here. As well, we dined at so many great restaurants! This was a great, memorable trip!!!At the end of each day, we knew wed have a great hotel to come back to for a good night sleep and planning for the following day.thank you Marriott!!
Everything is excellent, but a couple of things what can be better in my opinion:1. No drinking water bottles are available at guest rooms. You can purchase for $4 at marketplace in hotel lobby or for $0.99 (the same bottle) next door 24 h Walgreens store.2. Breakfast is not included in a stay price. It’s ok. On 12 th floor is located Starbucks which not accepted Starbucks gift card or app. Overpriced. But you can charge room. Hot sandwiches are available, so and pancakes, yogurt, parfait etc.
The room was huge, easily enough space for three adults. (king bed and pull out couch room). Location was great because its close to center but not as crowded. Room looked just like the pictures. Definitely recommend.
This hotel is located in a great area of NYC!My family and I enjoyed the spacious rooms and convenience offered around the hotel - with subway and restaurants within short walking distance. Staff were kind and courteous. We love NY!
This CY @ 866 3rd Ave is a 5-star hands down! Its practically a few steps to the Lexington/51st st. stairway entrance/exit (in front of Duane Reade drugstore, which is opened 24hrs). I stayed in a 2-queen guest room for business and it was very spacious. Plenty of room to spread your work around the work desk area with ample lighting and outlets. Wireless data speed was fast without experiencing any interruptions. The beds were clean and comfortable. Pillows were soft yet firm. Bathroom was also clean with little wait time for hot water. The 866 lounge was spacious - plenty of sitting arrangements: high stool chairs, couches, conference tables and chairs, and plenty of outlets. Property is conveniently accessible (within walking distance) to many companies and restaurants. And, if you are really hungry for a quick deli food or in need of toiletries, theres a Duane Reade next door! Staff at the property are very professional and friendly. They will take the extra mile to assist your traveling or accommodation needs.
We spent 4 days exploring Manhattan and loved the location of this hotel. Walking distance to many midtown attractions and close access to the subway. We were on the 20th floor and found it to be very quiet. Beds were really comfortable and staff always ready to help. It was the perfect home base to take in the sights and experiences of NYC.
I chose this hotel due to the price point for a holiday, location, and they allow 5 guests to stay in one room/JR suite. We flew in on New Years Day so the check-in early system didnt help us since the hotel was full. We were allowed to hang out in the lobby on the 12th floor. It was really nice but like hotels and New York, in general, the food is more expensive than we are used to. The staff is friendly and the hotel smelled good at all times. I really liked using the Marriott app on my phone to request any extra towels, washcloths, etc. They also used it to communicate when our room was ready. The water pressure in the shower was good. They use Paul Mitchell products and would refill as needed. There was a hair dryer but I had my own. We had access to a small dorm refrigerator in which we used to chill water bottles we purchased at a nearby Duane Reade/Walgreens. I prefer hotels that have free breakfast but this one did not offer it. Id say that was my only con against this hotel. Otherwise, we were completely satisfied. There is access to breakfast at several places near the hotel which are not so expensive. The internet worked well and the speed was fast.
