Since the pandemic, I have struggled with acne breakouts due to wearing masks. I was suggested to go forward with a custom facial. After cleansing, she steamed my face, did extractions to remove all my blackheads, and even applied a Cool Peel to kill the acne-causing bacteria on my cheeks and chin.Afterwards, the esthetician applied an anti-bacterial hydrojelly mask and did blue light LED therapy for about 20 minutes. My face felt cleaner, brighter, and softer. I was never the type of person to get facials done, but I definitely think Ill be adding this to my skin regimen!My experience here was overall great. Nice, clean space, and extremely professional and caring staff. Anyone who is struggling with maskne like me – come to MSL. I already see a great improvement with my skin.

I have been going to spa for several procedures done over several months with both Johanna and dr Feng. Both are excellent at what they do. Dr Feng has done kybella threads and fillers on my me. I am very sensitive and she was always made sure I am completely comfortable and numb before she proceeds. Would never go anywhere else.

The place is very clean and the person at the front desk is always very welcoming. Jhoanny is also super nice and very knowledgeable on the procedures she performs.

I recently went in for a Picoway Laser Skin treatment. I have to admit that I had never had a skin treatment of any kind before. I generally have good skin so I felt there was no need. I was a little nervous, but figured why not, I will give this a try.The staff was amazing, so professional, and very attentive. The procedure was quick. There was minor discomfort, but nothing drastic. The treatment I had was light, so there was very little side effect after the treatment.A day later I was amazed by how wonderful my skin looked. I could see visible changes in pigment and smoothness of my face. I felt younger. I didnt tell my friends that I had had a treatment. They all kept telling me that my skin looked so fresh and they all wanted to know what I had done to my face.The staff followed up with me, wanting to know how I was and giving me constant skin care advice. Overall, I would highly suggest using them for any of your future procedures. It was just an amazing experience!

Came here for under eye fillers, which Ive had elsewhere before without issue. The doctor here left my face lumpy and swollen, but assured me it would go down in a couple days. What really upset me was that when I went back a week later after the swelling didnt subside, instead of taking responsibility she tried to convince me that it didnt look that way before and that I must have done something to it to make it swell up. When that didnt work, she tried to convince me that Id always had an uneven and lumpy face, which of course was absurd. She removed some of the filler but my face was still uneven, and again she tried to handle this by convincing me that I was imagining the unevenness. I had to go somewhere else to fix the mess they made, and the doctor was appalled when he saw how theyd distributed the fillers and when I showed him the photos of what they did. Now, a month later I finally look normal again, although the fix was quite expensive. The place didnt seem shoddy or cheap when I decided to go there, and the reviews on here were good, but the practice was absolutely dodgy; the way the doctor acted made me feel like Id just visited some back-alley place, not a Park Ave office. Hopefully I can prevent others from the same outcome!

I was here last month and got pixel skin resurfacing done, and im so impressed! I was nervous at first, seeing my skin red and peeling but it healed within the week and my skin has never looked better! The staff and owner were also very sweet and they have a great looking facility. Hghly recommended!

Beginning to end 5 star these girls care! Most people in the industry don’t. I know this because I had other experiences. And people put you in a room say by or try to sell you. Girls here actually want to know you and your life. Very friendly people for sure. The place looks very nice. I started going here 5 years ago and it was much smaller but they always kept it clean and beautiful. Now even the tea here is imported. I was speaking the resection and she told me that the owner has the tea sent from France. Lol a small detail but how many people do you know would go that far to get nice tea for there customers? I do the micro dermabration club amd love love it!!! My skin looks amazing after each and every one of the treatments. Sometimes I add a facial or peel if I need extra care but when I do the micro alone it is fantastic on its own. So girls go in there. Let your skin look as good as mine.

I saw Dr. Feng for my lips. It was my first experience with any type of filler and I wanted a natural look. The doctor did a my lips but better, and its exactly what I wanted. I told Dr. Feng I was super worried about the pain and she kindly offered Novocain so I would’t feel a thing. Super excited to go back and get my 1 year touch up. I highly recommend.

Ive been visiting the Manhattan Skin and Laser Center for several years now. Its in a convenient location in NYC, only about a block away from the Apple store on Fifth Avenue.Jhoanny Pena and Gloria Cordero are great laser technicians and they always zap very thoroughly the areas where I want hair removed. Some areas are embarrassing to treat such as nose and arm pits but they are very easy-going and zap them in a professional and medical manner.Also, I had pixel skin resurfacing on my nose because of the grotesque bumpiness. I think that was due to acne scarring when I was a teenager going through puberty. I had 3 rounds of treatment and I think they helped improve the appearance somewhat. There was some downtime, the nose would have a purplish-reddish look and then skin would slough off. It took about 5 or so days to recover. The treatments were minimal risk unlike going to surgery to cut out the bumps which would just leave nasty looking scars instead.Jhoanny, the founder, is a medical technology junkie. For instance, she already had the Cynosure Elite laser for hair removal and that one is fine for what it does. Yet, she went out of her way to purchase the Candela laser equipment, which cost $100k, and it performs the same function as the Cynosure, perhaps a little better. She told me it was her dream machine.Recently, I went back for hair removal and Jhoanny said she will purchase a pico technology equipment and it cost about $300k! Its the latest skin care technology and it can be used to acoustically remove hyperpigmentation such as sun damaged skin, birth marks and tattoos and smooth out the skin.Another technology this skin center has is Inmode Fractora, radio frequency with microneedling. Dr Anthony Youn, a celebrity cosmetic surgeon out of the Detroit area, said its great for skin tightening and producing collagen. He has it in his office too.I think this dermatology center is fine. The prices are a little higher than comparable places, but certainly less than a plastic surgeons office or doctors office.

Jhoanny is literally the best! I have pretty severe acne and was suffering from an endless cycle of break outs. Everything I tried, from prescription medicines to various face washes, didn’t work. Finding Jhoanny has given me my life back - after just 1 facial I saw and felt a difference in my skin. After 4 facials & just 2 months, my skin has never looked better and I barely get pimples. I came here cause I was looking for getting treatments Gentalmax pro. I was told it is the best. I had my full back and shoulders laser hair removed in this place and the results are amazing. The price is not bad at all. I had gone to other places and did not see results. They are very professional. I never had to wait to be treated like in the place I had some before. Also this place is very upscale, beautiful and clean. I Refered my girlfriend here and she had laser peels and fillers. She was Avery happy.I got treated by both Gloria and Jhoanny and they are very nice. Jhoanny started me and I did some treatments with Gloria. Gloria is very gental. Cause at first I found it to be a little painful but she took her time and gave me brakes. After my hair was finer it was a not bad at all. And the treatment was fast.So recommend any here!

My first visit to Manhattan Skin & Laser was in the fall of 2017. I went frustrated with all of the scarring and other skin damage caused by years of managing severe ingrown hairs. Ive had PCOS for years since I was 12 years old and, by nature, lots of frustrating facial hair. Id been against getting laser treatments because 1) I felt it was too expensive and 2) I felt I could manage the hair growth on my own without it really impacting the health of my skin - but that is ultimately what became the the problem that I couldnt manage on my own: my hair is naturally thick and course and the way it grew in created painful ingrown hairs that didnt stop irritating my skin unless they were removed.When I realized I could no longer manage all of that hair removal on my own without damaging my skin, I started to seek out help. First it was waxing, then it was threading, then I began trimming and tweezing. After years of being so rough on my skin trying several methods, my skin was left with really dark scars, similar to what you get from picking and busting pimples. I found Manhattan Skin & Laser on Yelp in hopes of going in for a skin peel after doing research on ways to fix discoloration and hyperpigmentation issues, still against the laser treatments and not believing anything would work long-term for me.I went in for my free 15 minute consultation and was blown away by the information I received. Even though I insisted on coming in for the peel, Jhoanny, the owner, was honest with me about the root cause of my scarring and insisted that the best method of treatment was laser first and, if I still needed it, peel later. Seven treatments later, my chin is ingrown hair-free and the scarring has faded significantly - WITHOUT A PEEL. Ive learned a lot about my skin and what works over the course of the past 7 months, including the fact that these treatments actually were what was best for the health of my skin and not just what it would offer me aesthetically. The area is now super smooth and I only go back now every now and then for small touch ups and no longer need to do maintenance daily to handle bumps and/or stubble. I spend significantly less time thinking about my skin or feeling insecure about it. Ive had a wonderful experience and Im a stone-cold skeptic (with olive skin so I was definitely worried about further pigmentation and how effective it would be on darker hued skin!) who can be hard to please when something costs more than an over-the-counter product. Unfortunately, I am hard on myself and difficult person to be pleased. The day of my consultation I found this nice, clean welcoming spa, then I met with Jhoanny, she patiently heard my concerns and suggested the best method of procedure that would work in my case, when I mentioned to her one of the methods suggested by the previous doctors that I had seen, she explained why she thought it will not work for me.
