I personally think that this is the best laid out equinox in the area for lifting, over Bond St and Flatiron.
Clean, well kept health club with polite staff.
Good location. Very close to the train station.Maintenance and front desk go up and beyond in making sure the gyms runs smoothly. If you go, there make sure to thank maintenance. They work really hard to keep the gym clean and equipment functioning. It also has a variety of gym equipment and group fitness classes (pre-pandemic)
The most miserable experience Ive ever had at a gym. My wife and I have been members of this Equinox for almost a year now. Having known for some time that we werent going to renew, we notified the club months in advance so as not to receive any surprise charges at the end (apparently that wasnt enough).Despite countless emails and attempts to get in touch with Cecilia, the assistant manager, i had an extremely difficult time getting in contact with her. When I was finally able to find her at the gym, the conversation that proceeded was incredibly irrational and condescending. I was told that because only I (the account holder and person that pays for both accounts) had contacted her from my personal email and not my wifes email, only mine would be cancelled and my wifes would be subject to renewing for another 45 days! Are you joking??....Ive been telling you guys for months about this and Im not cancelling anything....simply not renewing my plan. For a gym that prides itself on customer service and being high end, the least you could do is not take several days to answer an email and then try to nab us on a technicality. When I asked if I could speak to the regional manager about this she told me it wasnt necessary, but as I insisted, she said theyll email me back at their convenience. She then told me shed see what she could do....as if she was doing us an epic favor....but then proceeded to charge my credit card 5 min. after my wife emailed her, despite my wife saying that she did not approve of the charges. Wow! How kind of you. Good luck if you ever plan on not renewing your membership here
I love this gym.
Ive been an Equinox member since 2009 and have tried out several of their gyms. I really like this location, and it just happens to be a block away from my apartment. It has everything I need, and can usually get to the equipment Im looking for without having to wait (I avoid the extremely busy hours). The classes are great and the staff is friendly and helpful. The layout might seem strange to some but the open space makes sense for my exercises. Would recommend this location, and Equinox in general.
Nice, but over priced, and the CEO of the parent company is a hateful Trump backer
Great location. Hudson Yards is my main location but this is a nice alternative.
Despite the beautiful finishes this Equinox has a very odd layout. The machines are always sticky no matter how hard the cleaning crew works... This is unfortunate because Ive never seen a harder working group of maintenance people. The instructor are 50/50. Some are amazing and others mediocre on their best days.
My favorite equinox location. So much space and well maintained. I usually never have to wait for machines nor for showers during rush hour. Juice press is next to check in. Has two stretch areas, cycling studio & lounge which is spacious.
Beautiful, new gym. Unfortunately I’m not a member anymore because I’m a student and can’t afford paying so much for the gym but I was a member for a year and tried many different locations including some in San Francisco and Miami Beach. This location is one of my favorites. Everything is new and clean. They have lots of machines and space. Definitely will come back there, it’s also across the street from my school, I go to Baruch College. I really hope this place will stay the same and will not change as it happened to some other locations, judging from other clubs’ reviews.
May as well be a chain of high-class, expensive bathhouses. My friend and I both had memberships for two weeks, in which time he was touched sexually by other men in the locker room. The second time they expelled him when someone groped him in the locker room. Management didn’t bother to investigate fully, and when I approached them with my complaint about the matter they didn’t even address my concern and put me through the most frustrating cancellation process ever. And I’m still paying the dues for this place for 45 days. Just don’t do it.
Ive taken Yoga and Pilates classes there. Both teachers were fantastic! I love the facilities. This gym feels new, clean, organized, and spacious.
Unbelievably BAD! I came with my girlfriend with the idea to work out with her. We started to work out together and after 2 minutes, a employee came, telling us to stop it right now because we were not allowed to train together. He told me that I couldnt give tips/advices on how to do and how to use the machines. For that, she should PAY a trainer. I went to many club in NYC, and worldwide also and this is the FIRST TIME I had this experience. WORSE CLUB EVER! PLEASE DONT GO!
Best gym in NYC! Worth every penny
Ok, so as a disclaimer, Im posting these reviews for my reference. I have an All Access Membership, and I want to visit as many of these as I can, to see which one I like most/would like to go to.My interests are powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, swimming, so my review will be geared towards that. For comparisons sake, I have been to the following so far:Equinox West 92ndEquinox West 76thEquinox HighlineEquinox East 63rdEquinox Columbus CircleEquinox Park AvenueEquinox FlatironThe gramercy one is designed with luxury in mind. Its pretty good, and high up there, at least in the list above.Out of 10:Size: 8Luxury: 9Equipment: 8
The staff hear was way better the than the last one I went to
Pretty good, on the pricey side though.
For a high end gym, the customer service is atrocious.
I dont understand why they cant tell patrons the actual entrance is on 24th st.
The actual address is 110 West 24th St.
Too expensive
