I was able to get score a good deal on a room in brooklyn

It is very surprising that the 5 star reviews this place has received does not correspond to its Yelp score, which is closer to 1-2 stars.The gripe almost everyone has over there is with how dodgy the company becomes when you move out and try to collect your security deposit, which I have experienced first-hand.Other issues faced by others include: feeling unsafe in the building, poor living conditions and hygiene, poorly regulated heatingHowever, the key perk this company seems to offer is that it is very easy to sign a new lease, with little to no paperwork, relative to larger leasing companies. Overall, not worth the stay despite the convenience.

I’ve used this company at least 5 times for my New York trips and they always sort me out. Never had any issues. They are brilliant!!

I’m a international French student in need of a room ASAP. First time traveling to NYC and had no place to go and little time to settle before classes start. During my search I came across Ad Roomsinthecity. I saw pictures of a room i like. I was able to book a room online in less than 30 min. I was a bit skeptical so I called them. The representative walked me through the steps for booking online. On the day I arrived I was met by an agent with keys and tour of the place. This company is legit and I use them every time I visit NYC. The only thing is that they rent for 3 months or longer. No less than 3 months. Also there is NO FEE to rent in Brooklyn. All you need is one months rent and one month security deposit. They also have rooms in Manhattan.

I rented a room through them from Oct 2013 to March 2014. The house was full of drug junkies. I never felt safe in that house. Sharon and Harry are total scammers. They didnt return my security deposit of 800$. Stay away or they will rob your money. If you have time, read what people have written on yelp about them.

I rent a room through Rooms in the city in Brooklyn during 5 months in 2018. I am still waiting for my security deposit (3months later). I sent 3 emails and called many times, never had an answer. I do not recommend them, they are not honest and will steal your money.
