Cameo Cleaners is very professional. I had custom drapes and a vintage oriental rug in need of some TLC. Not only was there Interior Department knowledgeable and well tuned, their expert technicians tested everything before hand, to make sure it was serviceable. I rarely ever write reviews BUT I was in such awe that Cameo Cleaners was able to get out my babys milk stain that was in my Fendi bag that fell in there for over a week!! It looks and smells brand new, I cant thank you all enough!! They have also washed/dry cleaned all of my Indian outfits perfectly without ruining them which is a HUGE plus since most of the other cleaners Ive been so have either burned or messed up the embroidery.

Got blackout blinds sewn into our existing curtains and couldnt be happier. They provided the blackout drapes, hand delivering swatches for us to choose from, as well as picked up and delivered the drapes. Process took 4 days and they were really helpful throughout. Highly recommend.

After I spilled coffee all over an expensive wool coat and doused it in Oxyclean, the stains had set and I knew I was in trouble. I called Cameo and they were upfront about the possibility of permanent damage to the coat, but they were miraculously able to get the stains out perfectly. My coat looks brand new! Cameos cleaning services are pricey (probably at the top end of prices for Manhattan cleaners), but its 100% worth it if you have an expensive or beloved piece of clothing that requires professional deep cleaning.

I brought a suit pant that was too loose and they tailored it perfectly. I recommend this store for their tailoring without hesitations. The prices are good too compared to other stores in this area.

Cameo Cleaners cleaned a very expensive leather skirt of mine that was soaked in wine. They got all the stains out completely without discoloring the skirt or causing it to stiffen. I am amazed. They were also polite, professional and eager to get the job done properly. They turned the skirt around in under 2 weeks and delivered it to my office once it was cleaned. I had gotten a very bad grease stain on my favorite white dress and took it to get cleaned at 2 different dry cleaners and neither was able to remove the stain. Naturally I was pretty bummed but a friend recommended Cameo to me and I figured why not try one more time. When I got my dress back not only was the stain completely removed but the white looked crisper! I cannot express how happy I was. Was worth every dollar spent. Overall the cleaning, the customer service was great! The place itself did not even look like a cleaners, more like a boutique. Very modern. They saved my leather/suede coat! I am so grateful to the team at Cameo, who saved my vintage, 3/4 length leather and suede coat after a cat attempted to use it as a litter box. I did EXTENSIVE research to find someone in NYC who could help save my jacket, and Cameo came out on top. It was a long (~2 months), labor intensive and EXPENSIVE process but the coat came back in tip top shape. I definitely had my doubts (as anyone with animal urine on their clothing should) but the wait and price were all worth it when I got my beloved jacket back looking amazing. The team was proactive in communicating updates and upfront about everything from the get go.

The best dry cleaner in NYC by far. Not a easy claim to make but it is absolutely true. I had a very expensive suede coat that needed to be cleaned because I had gotten some oil stains. Several dry cleaners in the city was quoting me 400 dollars with no guarantees to clean. Not only did Maria, the customer care person walked me through the process in managing the risk of not getting the stains off, they only charged me $145 with delivery. TOO BOOT!!! THEY GOT THE STAIN OFF!!! My jacket looks brand new. They are honest, great customer service, and very good. Dont wast your time with other dry cleaners with no experience who will ruin your clothes and take your money. I am thrilled with them.

Great experience with Cameo! Bought a new suit, had it altered there (awesome tailor), promptly got oil on it (wedding season) and took it back for the best dry cleaning in the city! The bottom line is I was quoted a price of $25 to clean my daughters coat over the phone. I was told only suede and leather coats cost $150 and up to clean. I agreed to the $25, once my daughter went to pick up her nylon coat, the price had risen to $190.00. This place is sneaky and took advantage of a young college student. They also did a terrible job, did nothing special that required such a high price. BEWARE! Bait & Switch! Cheaters!

Might be a good dry cleaner the tailor service is more then miserable tho. Ruined a $500 shirt. Rude and unqualified tailor. Said he spent 4 hours sewing it by hand. My 5 year old son could have done a better job on it. Advertise weaving on their website. Tailor says they don’t do it.

Cameo is not your average dry cleaners, even your average good one. Yes, their prices are jaw-droppingly high (even for NYC standards), but so too is the quality of their service. I use them only for items that are particularly costly and/or irreplaceable, or when the normal cleaners have not been able to remove stains. In my experience, Cameo has not encountered a stain they could not eradicate. Olive oil-stained polyamide (Bogner and Moncler) jackets come back looking better than when I purchased them. They perfectly de-pilled a Saint Laurent polo shirt. Recently, when a Prada cashmere sweater was returned to me with the collar tag missing, I sent Cameo an email that night and received both an email and call from their (friendly and professional) staff first thing the next morning. I returned with the sweater (though they had offered to pick it up) and, within a few days, it was back with the label sewn back on and in perfect shape. They also remove all buttons from my winter overcoat prior to cleaning and then sew them back on. I would suggest asking about the price to clean specific items in advance in order to avoid any surprises; they have always been fully forthcoming. Genuinely cannot recommend them enough.

I did a lot of Google searching for NYC drycleaners that could properly clean my wedding dress before my wedding day. I read a lot of reviews where cleaners lost the dress, didnt clean it properly, buttons went missing, etc. so it was a little stressful to trust anyone. It was bought at a sample sale and a had a few dust stains from being in storage for a while. I emailed with the manager, Dawn, and received an estimate for costs which was reasonable compared to some of the rates I was getting at other locations.I dropped my dress off and after 2 wks, it was perfectly cleaned and pressed for the big day. They managed to minimize or remove all of the stains to the point where they were not noticeable at all unless you squinted and knew where to look (stains that have been there a while may be impossible to 100% remove). Dawn and Cristal were transparent, communicative, the drycleaning was done in a timely manner, the price was reasonable, the work was well done and they delivered the dress to my apt with no issues. I would highly recommend them and plan to use them again after the wedding to clean and preserve the dress.

I first went there many years ago after a very expensive (and favorite) sport coat was stained beyond the abilities of my former cleaner and another one. A few times now Ive brought nicer articles of clothing to be cleaned, with the hope that Cameo can take care of them properly and remove stains, etc - in each occasion I have received the pieces back with little or not change in them, and after theyve charged an arm and a leg.The only thing I would recommend here is leather cleaning, but otherwise save your money and go somewhere else that charges reasonable amounts of money AND do a good job (e.g., Hattan cleaners down the street).

Reading the reviews and wondering if anyone has had experience with beading/rhinestones/pearls that cannot be removed. Perhaps the owner can describe the process they will use?

Google reviews are generally futile. One person loves, another hates. I took online advice, and no...my clothes werent ruined. And they were on time. And they were kind of squished into paper and plastic bags in a way that rendered them useless, without extensive pressing (or, in the case of supposedly pressed shirt, re-pressing). Like, jeans that cant be worn now without being ironed. Because they were just smushed into a bag, folded over, unevenly, three or four times. Jeepers. All it would have taken was a small amount of care. $32 for less than five pounds of clothes. Not my spot.

Was a great experience they cleaned some Drapes in my den. They came out so bright I thought they were new.

Massively overpriced for the service quality- I was expecting an amazing job given the reviews and have been left very disappointed. They removed the buttons on my shirts without permission - ok that I can get over but they reattached the buttons and only one of 7 shirts had the buttons securely re attached- have never had problems with my buttons yet following going here I have lost buttons on several occasions on the day I removed them from their dry cleaning packaging. I dont have time to keep going back and will not be using them again.

Hacked, gouged and cut up my leather hip belt. Unreal. I am not sure why, but my item was completely ruined. (The item was made from leather remnants - not a straight edge on it - did the technician think he or she could cover up a botch job by cutting pieces out of the item? I dont know.) Do not take your precious items to this butcher shop.
