The new Ferry NY Waterway is located at Midtown West on 39th Street — Pier 79 — New York and makes a stop in Battery Park — Pier 11 — on Wall Street and then Staten Island. It takes 35 minutes to complete the route and costs $2.75 which is worth it. The trip from St. George on the northern tip of Staten Island to Battery Park City takes about 18 minutes and then an extra 17 minutes to reach Midtown West. I prefer this ferry rather than the SI ferry since it’s faster but I will continue to use it since it’s more convenient for my needs. However, I truly enjoyed the night ride.
Nice terminal clean and all no complain about that even restrooms is cleaner then most of the public restrooms of NYC parks. Only down side is those stores dont buy anything from them unless you are a tourist. They charge too much for everything i.e: 1 small coke can is $3. Other then that its OK.SIDE NOTE: This is one of NYC Ferry stop too.
Ferries arrive on time and located at a convenient spot. Would be even better if its possible to track the shuttles.
Best thing that they have done for staten islanders in a very long time. Commute to work was shortened by just about an hr.
Gets where you want to go quickly if you arent in the mode for the train..
I truly hate boarding guys they make my day hell because of the ticket not downloading on time.Like I want to rip them off for 9$ . The ferry runs every 20 min!!!not like before every 5min. Ill save my 100 weekly and get bus from now on.
Fast and efficient. Only pleasant way to commute.
Great Ferry service. Theyre easy theyre always on time and so far Ive never really had any major outstanding issues.
Neat place and good signals to take the ferries, nice commuter to drawn island or a new way to see the New York harbor on the way to Saint George’s dock. Very easy access from midtown, and a commuter bus that can take you to the East River ferry stop at 34th street .
Grab the NYC ferries for a cheap ride to staten island...perfect way to relax and view the statue of liberty, world trade center, jersey ships and the Great Bay
The easiest and most scenic route from NJ to Midtown. Convenient, clean, quick and affordable.
Quick and simple way to get back and forth from the city, the staff at the Port Imperial location was very kind and courteous as well as very helpful. Wait time between fairies isnt too bad either
The terminal was clean but there was no ticket agent available nor customer service. Tickets are expensive for the short ride. I believe this entitles us to some customer service. Not just a vending machine.
This new ferry is much faster to get to the city
Spooky empty this time of the day but well maintained. Very clean. And the nice person doing the disinfecting steps was meticulous.
Nothing really to it, just another Ferry great thing about its just the ride to the Statue of Liberty that is by the way an awesome place to visit...
Punctual, reliable and fast commuting option between Weehawken and Manhattan.
On time, friendly crew. Always a great ride.
Beautiful and cheaper way to get to and from the Newark airport.
Fast and efficient, best way to ny from nj
It’s ok!! But I will take Staten Island ferry every time
It was great to ride again in a ferry.
Ive never been on a boat/ferries but it was a sweet and decent experience.
Excellent service. Clean and faster ferry service
So as a daily commuter the ferry is pretty reliable. 90% on time. Free easy on off shuttle busses all over Manhattan get me to work in midtown usually on time. However its expensive!! The most expensive of all my commuting options from Rockland county. Monthly to Edgewater is nowb$330. Less for port imperial. There is now NO STREET parking for Edgewater!! Permit only so I have to find other ways to commute.
Port Imperial was very clean. The associate was very helpful, answered all of my questions and directed me to where I needed to go.
One of our greatest experience in NYC. You can transfer between different parts of NYC with great view from Hudson River for extremely low price. One way is only $2.75. I recommend EAST RIVER to Brooklyn.
Signage is awful, and no help inside or out. Have to rely on help from locals.
Awesome day
I’ve been picking n dropping customers since last 10 years today was the first day when the security guy stopped me to use their bathroom seems like it is no more a public place
Efficient, reliable ferry service. A lifeline to many.
On time and quick service into Manhattan. Have not used in peak hours, but off-peak has been very COVID friendly with minimal passengers and easy social distancing. If it werent for the high ticket price (compared to Path or bus) Id use it as my main form of transportation to/from the city all the time!
Had a great time going on tour to liberty my tour guide was very fun and informative I had a great time
The Civilized Commute--says it all. An amazing way to get back/forth between NJ and NYC. Super-reliable, super-convenient.
Best commute ever!
Always a quick and enjoyable trip
Only negative was unable to get a taxi. Had to laid the Lyft app and use the ride service.
NY Waterway ferry service is truly worthy of 5 stars, but for one reason I only give 4 stars. The $18 round trip care is a bit too much. This could easily be rectified by NY Waterway by running the ferries every 20 minutes instead of every 10 minutes.Every trip that I take, the ferry is no where near full to capacity.Sure. During rush hour, run them every 10 minutes. Off peak runs could easily be cut to every 20 to 30 minutes. Just my opinion. Happy ferrying! 😎
An amazing experience. Will never forget.
Always on time.
Super easy to get to the city!! I love how simple and fast it is!!
Reasonably priced. Very prompt. Nice view. Practiced social distancing by labeling seats accordingly.
Does the job. Gets me where I wanna go! And fast!
Smooth ride
1st class operation
Always my go to for a stress free route to the City
Amazing commute into NYC follow all COVID precautions
Horrible ferry service to downtown from weehawken. Every 30 mins, makes stops, doesnt run mid day or after 8pm or weekends but costs over $350 mo or you can pay $27 r/t. I have no choice, its a monopoly & they treat it as such. No busses downtown either and oh yeah, gd luck freezing on outdoor pier when its 10 degrees out. No walls or heat. If NY Waterway was a landlord it would be a slum lord, minus the cheap rent.
8 min ride to Manhattan.
Best way to get to NY by far! Daily commute to work is a breeze because you dont have to worry about traffic every morning. It is definitely the pricier option, but totally worth the convenience.
New York subway station 🚉 right now but point
Excellent as always, 10 mins of peacefulness reflect about life
Artificial monopoly which behaves like one providing terrible service and inflexible fare options. One was ticket is valid for one month and if you don’t use it within that month it expires. When asked, the service provided no replacement and no explanation. When changing slips no signs are put out for passengers so you have to go around each ferry and ask their route! Little value for your money when better options exist.
So convenient to go all over New York City during the day to catch some major sights off the waterways here between the city and Jersey. To be able to see the Statue of Liberty from the waterway is just absolutely breath taking. Architecture in New York doesnt get the credit it should.Taking this tour will give you this wonderful perspective. The $2.75 fare on most ferrys is the best kept secret in NYC Tourism. Thank you for keeping it down and competitive with subway fares. The Subway can be a daunting task but the waterway taxis are straight forward. See you soon NYC #GoBears
Took my dog for the first time, she enjoyed every bit of it
Quickest, easiest, most relaxing commute to and from NYC to NJ
Easy way access to Manhattan. Quick and on time. Enjoyable ride as you can see the views of the city skyline. So cool and relaxing.
Expensive and unfriendly...9$ for a one way ticket is armed robbery
Its a great way to transit into NYC. The ferry ride across the Hudson is smooth and quick. The service is almost always on time and on schedule. There are courtesy buses to help you around Manhattan. You save on tolls and midtown parking and avoid a stressful drive and parking hunt.
Love the commute.. unfortunately, there service ( harborside to battery park/ midtown has been a bit spotty of late.. with unpredictable delays..don’t expect this for the cost they charge!
A very convenient way to get into New York City and they even have complimentary buses that go down various routes within New York
Parking super easy for access into NYC. Was pricey for the four of us but great for getting into the city. Love the free bus too.
I have no problems here. Always rather quick and painless. Prices have deff gone up over the years tho. Still cant beat it over city parking prices
Best way to get across the River it literally takes 8 mins, Port to Port and there are Waterway buses that u can take to certain destinations once u get off the boat..i love it..wish the pr8ces were cheaper however
The phone App sucks. I bought 4 weekend tickets and have not been able to use them because the app is always off-line. DO NOT USE THE PHONE APP. Ferry is scenic but does not run on time. The ticket terminals are often out of order. This is a novelty ride at best.
Older boats but friendly staff, disciplined and reliable with schedule and no other options.
Post covid, ferry is still good.
Fast, clean😎
Late for 10 min
