I was referred to Shawn Ball at The Forum Group by a Partner and a few Associate Attorneys I know and my first thought was not another recruiter but boy was I wrong. Shawn was fantastic and I instantly knew why they referred me to him! Within minutes of reaching out he got back, we got on a call, then later that night we zoomed. He gave me some great resume pointers, told me the dos and donts once on the interview, have good lighting for the video interview, be somewhere quiet, and he even asked what I was planning to wear to the interview, LOL. He suggested I suit up and standout as most other candidates are interviewing in business casual attire. This all made sense so I appreciated the advice and Im confident about getting an offer. Best recruiter is Shawn Ball! Within minutes of applying to a job he contacted me and later that afternoon set up a video interview to meet. After a quick 5 minute interview he said he was sending to me to several hospitals and when he told me their names my mouth almost dropped open. Turns out he works with almost all the major hospitals in NYC, not your small rinky dinky doctors offices but very well known hospitals. Then what was so sweet is that he followed up with me 3 days later to let me know hes not forgotten about me and he let me know that the clients are moving a little slow because of the pandemic. I told him not to worry about it and appreciated him following up. 2 days later he got me 2 interviews and a day after that I had an offer. Im very excited about working with this agency and am thrilled to have found one of the better recruiters in the industry.

Favorite agency to work with and my legal recruiter Shawn Ball was exceptional when it came to law firm openings. He talks fast but theres no beating around the bush here. He quickly went through my background asked a few questions and then gave me advice on client dos and donts, what to say and not say and ended by asking what do I want in my next law firm. Jobless Should Be Really Careful With Staffing Agencies like The Forum GroupI, unfortunately, had a really horrible experience this summer with a recruiter and her supervisor by the name of Michelle Palkin and Indira Reyes. I launched a formal complaint and requested an investigation into misconduct and possibly unlawful race discrimination/ discriminatory treatment that I was subjected to by Michelle Palkin and Indira Reyes this past summer. I was sent several emails and called about a job interview that provided the wrong address and the wrong time by Michelle Palkin. When I re-confirmed on my way to the interview, I was again told (by Michelle Palkin) the wrong address and given a new time that required me to wander around for an hour as during COVID we are not to enter indoors unnecessarily. Upon arrival at the incorrect place at the new time, I was told (by Michelle Palkin) to run over to a different address across town which I did, and luckily, despite the unnecessary stress and this petty nonsense, I was still offered the position. Unbelievably, I was told by the receptionist at the first location that this was a routine problem, The Forum Group was sending applicants to the wrong address previously. Then, at the correct location, several other applicants were present who went through the same thing. I was shocked by the incompetence and carelessness Michelle Palkin showed to details and was hoping to have a sane, professional, civilized conversation about what happened. I was distraught because I was spoken to in a disrespectful and demeaning manner by Ms. Palkin when trying to speak to her about my experience - but she wasnt having it. She got defensive when I requested to speak with her after my interview - which immediately let me know she knew she was wrong. Then sent me a very disheartening email with her supervisor Indira Reyes Cc stating that ...she feels like I didnt express enough gratitude and professionalism towards getting this position...At this time we have removed you from the assignment at said client...and that they can not take a risk in harming those relationships by placing candidates who exhibit unprofessional behavior.Indira Reyes (Director of Health Care Services) sarcastically told me to contact the President of The Forum Group, Chris Fusaro to raise my complaint but to not think anything of it since she has a great relationship with him and has known him for years (as if that matters in this situation).When I got in contact with Chris Fusaro, and the Director of Operations Bill Slue they informed me that they are siding with both Michelle and Indiras for making a decision to remove me from the position. I later found out from Chris Fusaro that their reason for doing so was because Indira Reyes lied and told them that I cursed her out. I provided evidence to prove that I did NO such thing and Chris and Bill agreed that Indiras allegations were false. So I thought, maybe this is it, maybe I can move forward and start working again, but then Chris and Bill gave me an ultimatum of APOLOGIZING to Indira Reyes for making her think that I cursed her out. I dont know anyone who is that powerful but apparently, Indira Reyes thinks I am, if I can make her think I used offensive words in our conversation.I never raised my voice, got angry, or engaged in any unprofessional conduct. I have numerous emails regarding this situation showing what happened. I think it is really wrong that in retaliation, my potential employer was contacted after I complained and the position was taken away. This is retaliation for making a discrimination complaint, something that is plainly illegal and not permitted under the city, state, or federal law.I would not recommend any job seekers to engage in any business with Michelle Palkin, Indira Reyes, Chris Fusaro, and Bill Slue after my experience.

I had been looking for a job for about eight weeks when I met with recruiting director Daniele DeMaio. She is the real deal. I had worked with recruiters prior that had me change up my resume multiple times and told me that the work I had done was not sufficient for the pay I was shooting for. Daniele was the exact opposite. She built my confidence and did not count any job out. This was helpful in letting me see the array of opportunity out there. Daniele never told me my goals were out of reach. She worked hard and continuously with me and within a week or two I had an offer in my desired field and with my goal salary. Her positivity and hard work is more than refreshing. 10/10 recommend working with her.

Very warm and inviting office. Was there a few years ago and had no luck but this visit was much better. My Staffing Specialist was Shawn Ball and he was very informative and had many jobs at different companies for me to chose from. I left feeling very positive about my job search. The next day they got me a job interview and I was hired on the spot. This is one of the better staffing agencies in New York City and anytime Im out of work I plan to call them first and will ask for Shawn again. YELP manipulates ratings and reviews to extort paid advertising from companies, thats why many positive reviews are filtered out on the bottom as Other reviews that are not currently recommended. Im glad I checked out the Google reviews because this definitely convinced me to try Forum. Theyre a great recruiting firm, Sean Ball was a pleasure to work with! He secured me an interview with one of their clients just a few days after we met. Im excited to see what pans out and am confident Forum will be able to help and will be my one stop shop for my job search!

Very good agency, definitely give them a shot. I was reluctant to come in cause of some of the Yelp reviews but after checking out Googles reviews I decided to give them a try and I am glad I did! I met with Shawn Ball and he was very friendly, professional and down to earth. He discussed a few different roles with me and then had me meet a few of his colleagues who were also very friendly and professional as well. Within hours of leaving Shawn was calling me to let me know he got me a few interviews scheduled for next week. I was shocked how fast he was AND these were very prestigious companies so I was very impressed. I had the privilege of working along with Shawn Ball at the Forum group and I have to say it was probably the best decision I could’ve made. It was my first time working with a recruitment agency and I have no regrets. I was struggling a bit finding the right places to apply based on the very diverse experience I have. Shawn contacted me in August I came into the city met with him, we went over my experience and what kind of role I was trying to land. I couldn’t emphasize more to him that I wanted to get into a BIG name hospital in Manhattan. This company come off one way when u meet them. They advertise that they can helps you find jobs. But once you reach out to them go on your interview turn over your important information. You get told oh right now we have opening in certain area, but I will try my hardest to find you something. They dont keep up with you on how the job search is going. I had to keep emailing to find out whats going. The case worker who suppose to be handling my case sent me one job offer last year but due to the hour I couldnt accept the job. I recently sent a email to find out if any other jobs has come through I never received a response back. This company has all my personal information including my bank information. And they cant even help me find a job... I very upset now I feel like what exactly is going on with my information if you are not using it to find me a job.

I am currently working with the very diligent Shawn Ball and the lovely Mary Beth Schmid. I initially started working with Shawn in late August, and right away he found me a position starting the first week of September. It was a temp postion non the less right on time. Once that assignment was over Shawn and Mary Beth began working diligently on finding me something that will turn permanent. The very next week Shawn landed me an interview with Mount Sinai at one of the main off-site offices (a dream). In the mean time while I awaited the decision-making, Mary Beth was making sure I was still working. Shawns pep talk did the trick, as I am to start Monday as an Enroll Coordinator for Mount Sinai.

The original person I spoke to was fine so Ill give them that but after overextending myself to come in for an interview the upper-level staff member I spoke to was very dismissive after only hearing what she wanted to hear from a conversation. She asked a question that was not black and white and upon my reply, she shut all communication down. Might as well have slammed a door on me. She took my reply completely out of context and very dismissive. I feel they must clearly not value the time and effort you put in to even consider using them to behave in such a way. I will happily use the plenty of other services that reach out on a daily basis. Not to mention these services help you instead of cut you down as if you are not worth it. Terrible experience...just know there is MUCH better out there.

HORRIBLE place. Worked with a lady I thought was nice, her name is Daniele D. Got me a job at a finance firm where the women were very catty and vindictive, and I had to tolerate forms of mental and even verbal abuse. I contacted Daniele several times and explained what was going on and begged her to pull me out while still very early after being placed. She actually told me to stay there and deal with it. I finally couldnt take it anymore and left and she actually got angry at me and told me shed never work with me again all because I couldnt take the horrible work conditions I was dealing with on a daily basis. I thought I did the right thing by reaching out to her EARLY on when I was hired so she could just take me out and put someone else in, apparently her commission was more important than doing her job and taking care of the people she placed.

They posted an Ad on indeed for medical secretary $20-$25 per hour. Got a call right away. Went in for an interview the following week with Shawn Ball.I’m very disappointed because they hype me up thinking the have open positions in manhattan. Told I was a good candidate for a few hospitals in Manhattan and told me to be prepared to start right away. What a waste of my time. They are liars. They are not a reputable company that have careers. False advertisement. Fake Agency.

I met Shawn Ball who has to be one of the best recruiters I have ever met with. Hes professional but also warm, friendly and down to earth. None of that fake Kforce or Robert Half phoniness. Shawn is real! Hes also fast and to the point. I told him I was on my lunch hour and he immediately put me at ease and said he knows how stressful it can be while interviewing during a lunch hour so he promised to have me out in 25-30 min and he did. He also introduced me to 2 of his colleagues as well. Between Shawn and the rest of his team I am confident that Forum will place me at my next position. Very rude. They do not follow up with you and when you call, they dont return your calls. They call you in to get commission. The interviewer I spoke with was Katarzyna Czarnecka. She actually hung the phone up on me when I called.

Avoid this group and its recruiters at all costs. Like many other recruiting agencies, they will lure you into an interview and then not follow up for weeks to months. Very unprofessional and not worth your time.

Medical staffing agency has pay rates comparable to the the year 1999 worse paying agency.

Met with 3 staff members and never heard anything back even after follow ups. One of them was Marguerite.
