THE WORST staffing agency in NY. Ive dealt with numerous agencies and numerous recruiters over the years as a seasoned freelancer and I have never experienced such incompetence as I have with every single person at JBC. I have had the misfortune of being reached out to and working with about 7 of their recruiters over the years. Each time has been a total waste of time. They always miss appointments, calls, and never can lead you to the right person in their small office regarding roles. It would have been fine maybe acceptable if their unprofessional happened once but this happened NUMEROUS times over NUMEROUS occasions and with NUMEROUS members of their staff. Just DONT WASTE YOUR TIME

I have had a very good experience with the JBCStyle team (Nicole & Julia) during my interview and recruitment process. Unlike other recruitment agencies I have been in contact with, Nicole and her team were extremely responsive and professional and were always keeping me in the loop with any update they may have had from their client. I was recently placed by JBC in San Francisco though the NYC office is who assisted me. Nancy originally reached out to me about a few opportunities a few months back but they did not work out. The communication continued and always felt very genuine. Nancy and I would text phone email and she was very open to hearing my feedback and understood what I needed. What’s great about recruiters is the knowledge they have and what they can advise to help you set realistic expectations on both ends. Nancy did leave JBC at the end of my process to move to another state but literally saw my process through to her last day. I then received seamless communication from Erica who then assisted me with the remaining process of the offer and start dates. I did receive an email from Ashley the director who also helped guide me through that transition. Overall it was the best experience and they helped land me the best opportunity for me I’ve had thus far in my retail career. HIGHLY recommend giving them a try if you are looking for a new opportunity.

I had the most bizarre experience after being selected for JBCStyles client Capsule for a remote CSR position. Originally I was skeptical about the posting because I located it in on Craigslist for $18/hour. A senior talent acquisition executive responded to my application, (let me add I did not know her position title until the eighteenth email) and requested a telephone interview. The day of our scheduled interview she was fifteen minutes late to initiate the call, in fact I ended up reaching out initially, and suddenly our phone interview was now a skype interview. The skype interview provided my first sneak peek at JBCStyles unprofessionalism as the hourly rate for the position had decreased to $16/hour. We had our skype call, it went well, I read the required script on-the-fly and promptly responded to the clients three scenarios. I was told that I was hired and would be sent over an offer letter in the next 24-48 hours, this occurred on Monday, April 6th. The following morning April 7th, the recruiter reached out inquiring if I were content with an ADDITIONAL dollar decrease to $15/hour as opposed to the original $18/hour advertisement stating the customer had budgeted to make seventy hires and the original rate was too farfetched. As a woman of color who is also fluent in Spanish, with over fourteen years of customer service experience and over five years of call center experience, and a permanent residency of Harlem, N.Y., a three dollar decrease is significant, but I still accepted. What I did not accept was to take calls in both English & Spanish at New York Citys minimum wage of $15/hour. The following day, Wednesday, April 8th I received an email stating that the recruiter is awaiting a final confirmation list due to the high volume of responses. PAUSE, does your client, Capsule know that you are telling applicants they are hired? The day came and ended, I never heard back, the following day, Thursday, April 9th I texted the recruiter for an update. She responded stating some clients have been confirmed we MAY be able to add additional people by the end of day. PAUSE, please clarify what you meant recruiter when you stated that I was hired and was pending an offer letter as of Monday, April 6th, because that caption in your text is a complete contradiction. Long story short, I will not sit here and bash JBCStyles locations nationwide, the recruiter I was assigned stated she was from California, I have NO idea as to how the hiring process is conducted on the west coast but my experience with JBCStyle can best be summed as a debacle.

They are slow in paying people. It will take them days to approve timesheets for work done.4. They call you about a job and never get back to you after you accept the assignment.5. In our first phone interview she started off by telling me that they work with over 300 clients. When she found out why my former employer let me go,her tone completely changed. She suddenly had no opportunities for me.She also lied and told me shed ask her boss for ways to tell potential employers why I was let go and that shed get back to me. I didnt hear back from her ever again and she didnt even respond back to my emails.I guess she didnt want to work with me because she felt I was damaged goods. Im happy to say I didnt need her help in the end. I received 4 job offers in 1 week on my OWN and ended up getting amazing offers. Please dont work with this company. Theyre disappointing and clearly dont want to do their job.
