I could not have had a better experience with the Career Group. Everyone I interacted with at the company, (especially Jillian Lawrence and Taylor Leonhardt,) was genuinely interested in my career growth. I was trying to apply for a job via career group but their site was not working. I called a lot of time and mentioned about it.Customer Service or receptionist were very rude. It was horrible experience. I compliant to their clients as well who told me to apply via career group. Very bad 👎🏽

I worked with Zelda and Sophia at Career Group and it was an extremely positive experience. Some recruiters can be really pushy and put a lot of pressure on you, but this was the opposite. They genuinely wanted to help and were very understanding when I wasnt interested in something. I also appreciated how transparent they were about the whole process and communicated feedback to me very quickly. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new job!

So like others the first initial interview was professional and it went great. They list all the opportunities that are at your disposal. They never contacted me unless I contacted them. I went for my interview in July and thankfully I found a job on my own but for others don’t waste your time with these people. It was disheartening that this happened especially when I really needed a job.

They truly take the time and effort in each placement. Even if I wasn’t placed - I would be so pleased with their help and interaction with me.

Anna and Zelda were wonderful to work with. They continuously followed up with new opportunities and helped prepare me for interviews. You wont find job listings for the companies they work with anywhere else and they all have great perks!

The initial meeting seemed very professional.... However, it has been over 4 weeks and I have been calling daily. STILL cannot get through to *anyone* !!!Say they will be working to help me get somewhere with my job search and couldnt be bothered to communicate. Sincerely disappointed. Dont waste your time.

I worked with Career Group when I first looked for a temp to perm position three years ago, and then again this time around when I was looking to leave my full-time permanent position for a similar role. Both times I found them to be really great to work with- they were communicative, responsive, kind and professional. They also had great opportunities. I worked with Zelda recently and she was so nice and really took the time to find out what I was interested in. She also wasnt pushy when I ended up turning down a pending job offer. I cant say enough good things about Career Group and Zelda!

Can’t really say I am happy with the service met with Anna in the beginning of December she emailed me a list of opportunities but I had a few questions since many details were vague and I needed clarification before submitting for the role we are now in January and I have yet to receive any kind of response. Many emails sent and no responses. Feels like a waste of time.

My time was really wasted here. Having 14 years of experience as an executive assistant, a BA in Psychology and MA in Psychology - the recruiter I worked with (Zelda) met with me for an hour, then kept emailing me roles that were interesting but NEVER followed-up. Even asked about temp work and again never followed-up. Anytime I see a job posting through them - I bypass it. Went to another agency and within a week, they had interviews set-up for similar roles.

I was first introduced to Career Groups in 2012 when I moved to Los Angeles with nothing but a suitcase. Only after a few months with CG, they soon placed me at Red Bull, where I stayed for 6.5 years. Recently, I moved to NY without a job, and started working with Career Groups again. I not only believe and trust this company, but I fully endorse their services. I am forever thankful that I was introduced to this company. Thank you for finding me a home away from home :)

Amanda, Anya and Lindsey are the most top notch recruiters I have EVER worked with. They had my back and worked relentlessly for me. I am now a permanent employee in the industry I wanted to switch to, in a great firm, with an excellent salary! I would give this place zero stars if it were possible. They initially asked me if I was looking for a temp or perm position, in which I told them I was looking for something permanent from our very first interaction.Next, they said they had an amazing opportunity for me and wanted me to come in for a mock interview. They had me fill out a bunch of unnecessary paperwork prior to meeting, including tax documents and asking for my SSN (which I did NOT give).A few days later I arrive at their offices and I met with Jonathan Hova. I sat in his office for a total of about 30 seconds. He asked me if I was looking for a temp position, which I replied no, I initially told your team I am looking for something permanent...then he said he would be in touch if any opportunities open up that he thinks I would be a good fit for. Then I left and luckily never heard from them again.All of that is fine, but do NOT waste someones time and make them dress up (they said you must dress professionally) and have them come in to say the position is not exactly what they are looking for. This easily could have been communicated in an email or phone call instead of dragging myself to Times Square (of all places) for this meeting on a sweltering hot day. I really did not appreciate that they did not even explain the position or anything else at all for that matter. It was really irritating that they said to dress professionally meanwhile the staff in their office was dressed in flip flops, fitted hats and poorly fitted clothes. The entire experience was very unprofessional altogether.If you are searching for work, do NOT waste your time with this company. There are so many other amazing recruiters and recruiting companies out there. Fortunately, I am now employed by a company I found myself and I will never have to deal with Career Group ever again. :)

This is in response for those of you out there who are in the process of job search. I have been a client waiting for a month. They basically waist your time, coming in and do not even bother emailing you/ contacting you back if they have opportunities. When I contacted them they mentioned that recruitment is “ Slow”. I really felt discouraged due to the fact that I’m arriving from New Jersey and they didn’t even have the Courtesy to email me. Don’t waist your time. Just go online or find other ways for job search. They just care about their numbers.

Career Group was an amazing asset for me when I was looking to get back on the workforce after taking a year off. Molly reached out to me via LinkedIn after I changed my status to open to opportunities. My first meeting with Molly and team, they sat with me one on one and asked me loads of questions and really worked hard to get a real feel for what I wanted and the kind of position I was looking for. She even introduced me to her whole department so they could also keep me in mind when opportunities came up! Her and her teammates, Matt and Zelda were 100% honest, helpful, positive and downright inspirational in helping me find my confidence and focus when I was interviewing and looking for the right fit. They sent me job openings/opportunities without pressuring me into interviewing or considering something that I didnt feel was right for me. They considered my strengths and my opinions to find me a position that I now love and am so happy in. THANK YOU to career group and to Molly and team for being so amazing at their job and making my life more fulfilled.

They basically waste your time, coming in loosing a day from my job, and do not even bother emailing you/ contacting you back if they have opportunities or even to tell you that theres no positions open even when their website says that there are open positions. I was contacted and Kate said that there was a position that perfectly matched my skills, after you go for the interview with them everything changes, not even an email to say sorry the position was filled or something, UNPROFESSIONAL.

I really enjoyed working with Jillian at Career Group. She answered all my emails and any questions I had. There were many roles sent to me daily for me to request that my resume be submitted. Unlike other recruiters that do not give all the information, Career Group included all the details of each position and I felt like they really cared about me being happy with the role.

Very disappointing that I took off of work and commuted from NJ to meet with this company, in hopes they could help me find an ideal position in the city. I was only emailed options once after I emailed them first and never heard back about my choices until I again, emailed them to ask for an update after more than a months time-frame. Its been months now, and I have given up altogether and will begin working with a different company. Do not recommend this company at all on your job search!

Avoid at all costs! Ive been working with Jonathan and Colin and its been the most frustrating experience. They are extremely unresponsive, all they care about is getting you as a client and then thats it. You will never hear from them. Have not received a single job opportunity from them yet when I met them I was told i have an amazing background and they have tons of opportunities. So unprofessional! Sounds like all their listings are fake.

Not sure what their structure is, but they’re not helpful at all. They waste time by having candidates come into their office dressed up as if for an interview. It’s all mass production. Everyone is sitting in the front desk area filling out the same application. Then, you go talk to someone for a few minutes. They take your resume and you never hear from them again. Not an update, no lists, emails, nothing. Never heard back from Sophia Barbera or Anya Korshak.

If you want a job just to pay a phone bill and not good enough money for rent and other living expenses then this place is for you.

Its the same place as FourthFloor. Theyre as much of a waste of time as FourthFloor. Do not waste your time with these people. They will use your information to get their name ringing out there thats how they work. They took my resume and only got 1-2 emails from them and never heard from them again since February. They make it sound like a dream and sweet talk you about how amazing your resume is, until you start to get emails from them about jobs you never asked them you were interested in. Keep away and dont count on them. Half the good reviews look like they come from the people working in there. Yea, they walk you over to meet their team who will be working with to find you a job which they never do, because once you reject a few of their jobs they move on to someone else.

The worst. They wont find you a job and will disappear. They are good actors and a waste of time. If you try them youre just asking for it. Anna and Danielle Fabian are the best actors.

After reading reviews, I see that I am not the only one who has been unfortunate. I was very positive and confident after meeting with Katie Frieden; received listings as well and some communication at the beginning. But nothing else whatsoever til this day; since April. Very disappointing! Ive left messages, sent emails and nada. I understand the responses that they cannot place everyone. However, communication is key. Its one of my moral values as an EA. Overall, I believe it is for any reason in life.

I would highly recommend CareerGroup for individuals who are seriously interested in finding new work. I shopped around for temp agencies/ recruiting firms and CareerGroup was certainly the best fit for me. I did not want rosey platitudes and overselling. I wanted results.I met with my recruiter, Jonathan Hova, in late February, and I told him I needed until the end of March to wind down my former job. Jonathan was incredibly understanding of this situation. We then proceeded to have a candid conversation wherein we thoroughly discussed my goals, aspirations and skillsets. Almost immediately after this meeting Jonathan was sending me job openings and by March I was interviewing. I secured a job by the first week of April. My current job is at an excellent workplace and has exceeded my expectations in so many ways. I cannot stress how essential Jonathan was to helping me secure the job. The entire time Jonathan was highly communicative and available. Keep in mind these endeavors are a two way street. As much as Jonathan was available for me, I had to be available for him. Communication is key. Jonathan and the other employees at CareerGroup put a lot of work in for you, so you must be willing to hold up your end of the bargain. Be engaged with them in process and put effort into the interviews CareerGroup secures for you. If you put in the effort, CareerGroup will find you a great job!

I worked with Lindsey, Anya, & Sophia at Career Group. Their turn around time is truly impeccable and this agency should really be on your list to contact. I would totally recommend them and as every job, you have to be patient, in case they have no roles.

Like most people already mentioned, you will get great communication from them the first week or two, then they drop you and never contact you again.

One of the best, they followed up with me, sent me on interviews, and even when I am on an assignment they are checking with me about other assignments. #theykeepmeworking! I LOVE Career Group.

Not sure about the other recruiters at Career Group but Amanda Dorado was a total waste. She was completely clueless as to who she called and why she called. Definitely in the wrong profession. Avoid!

I worked extensively with the amazing Katie Frieden at Career Group. After working with her for about 6 weeks, I received a job offer at a great company, had several other companies very interested in me, and probably would have gotten additional job offers if I had continued on in the process.Katie is probably the most talented and professional recruiter I know in NYC. She is incredibly responsive, intelligent, encouraging, and detail- oriented. She and her colleagues at Career Group briefed me and gave me an in-depth understanding of every company I interviewed at so I could go in well-prepared, and afterwards, Katie kept me updated with the entire process from start to finish. Katie got me interviews at companies I could only dream of before; it was amazing to have met so many great people during the entire job hunting process. Basically, Katie made a very stressful and difficult process easy and smooth. She was my number one cheerleader and grounding force and Im so honored to have worked with her. Youll be lucky if you get to work with her! Career Group is a top notch company and Katie Frieden is the cream of the crop.

Im currently working for a company that uses Career Group services for temporary staffing and could not be more impressed with the quality of not only the employees they bring in, but the efficiency of the Career Group staff.
