Brad is an amazing person and a phenomenal tutor. He has provided me with a tremendous amount of information and insight during the time that we have been working together. Starting from a diagnostic score of 154, I was able to improve an average of 18 points on practice tests with his guidance and unique methods for tackling the LSAT. My worst section was logic games, but after careful explanations and meticulous application of his method to the various question types, I was able to conquer logic games and I no longer panic when I am doing them.In addition to the LSAT, Brad perfected my applications for law school by helping me to craft a personal statement and a diversity statement which accurately reflect my experiences and views, therefore the admissions committees now can arrive at a holistic picture of who I am. We were able to produce essays that describe me in ways I hadn’t thought of, but I now understand that certain pivotal moments in my life can be woven together to tell a beautiful and powerful story. He also helped me craft supplemental answers and essays to various law schools, all of which strengthened my applications and allowed me the opportunity to be a competitive candidate.Lastly, I am currently taking the Law School Overview course, which is a great way to be ready for the first year of law school. First-year law school topics are challenging and confusing, but because Brad parlays the LSAT curriculum when teaching the Law School Overview, law school subjects like torts and criminal law have been very clear and comprehensible. Upon completion of the course, I know I will be more than prepared to handle the first year of law school!Overall, I am very fortunate to have met and worked with Brad. He has been instrumental in helping me reach my potential. If you are serious about your future and success on the LSAT, law school, and beyond, then Brad is the right tutor for you!
During my very long LSAT journey, the most difficult period of time was overcoming my issues with Reading Comprehension. I had managed to self-study for Logical Reasoning and Logic Games to the point where I could score highly on a consistent basis. I was having successful practice tests, and was scoring in the mid and high 160s. However, Reading Comprehension was holding me back from my goal score of 170+. I was stuck in a “plateau” in the high 160s. This was very discouraging because I had an increasing sense of helplessness when I drilled this section. I had lost all confidence. If I couldn’t improve my RC performance, I was not going to get the LSAT score I felt I needed to realize my aspirations. I had exhausted seemingly every option - at least, every option prior to meeting Brad.I am a skeptical person, and I was particularly skeptical of hiring a LSAT tutor. I thought that since I was already scoring fairly well, hiring a tutor wouldn’t do me much good. What could a tutor possibly offer that I hadn’t already read about online? I cannot even believe how wrong I was. From the first few minutes of my first session with Brad, I could tell that he was going to help me. Not only is he highly knowledgeable about Reading Comprehension (and the LSAT in general), but I also found right away that he personally cared about my progress. Brad was simply not going to let me fail, as he made apparent right from the start. His teaching approach is one of discipline, fundamentals, and consistency. I had never seen or heard of a Reading Comprehension curriculum as thorough and methodical as his, despite my countless hours of research on the internet.Brad has spent years developing his curriculum, and you can tell he puts in more effort than one could possibly expect or anticipate. From the fundamentals I learned early in our sessions, we were able to move on and tackle the Reading Comprehension section in a manner that gave me tangible and sincere confidence. My scores were immediately going in the right direction after our sessions, and I was eventually able to get my Reading Comprehension score to a point where I could consistently rely on it as a strength. As someone who never thought I would see the score I eventually got, I cannot recommend Brad strongly enough, especially for anyone who is struggling in Reading Comprehension. Brad will take the time, effort, patience, and care to improve your score. He will also make a real, sincere effort to check in with you and ask how things are going. Brad doesn’t just want his students to do well – Brad takes his students’ results as a reflection of his own skill in teaching, and routinely demonstrated that he was eager to provide guidance and help me succeed. He always puts the student first. I can confidently and without hesitation say that, because of the work Brad and I did together in Reading Comprehension, I received an LSAT score of 174 (roughly a seven point increase from where I was before). Brad is seriously that good.
Brads coherent teaching ability, precise methods and exceptional techniques led me to conquer the LSAT. His insightful approach to the LSAT and keen understanding of logic, in addition to the specific concepts being tested, make him the ideal tutor for the LSAT.Before tutoring with Brad, I viewed the LSAT as I viewed all other standardized tests: unapproachable and unbeatable. This view quickly changed after a few sessions of tutoring with Brad, as he instilled an unprecedented level of confidence in me. Brad provided me with a clear path to reaching my goal and assured me that my goal was attainable in the time frame he allotted. Throughout the tutoring process, he was incredibly patient and thorough, while also caring immensely about my progress and success. Brads techniques are highly unique, detailed and effective. Specifically, his methods and particular way of teaching guided me to master every single question type. His strength as a tutor also derives from his ability to explain himself in a very clear manner--his teaching is supplemented with analogies and examples to ensure that his point is strongly understood by his students. After tutoring with Brad for approximately one year, my LSAT score improved by 19 points from my initial diagnostic score. I have since been admitted to many top law schools. Im confident that tutoring with Brad was one of the best decisions Ive made to date, as I could not have achieved such success without his involvement. I would certainly recommend him to all!
Brad is one of the rarest tutors in the LSAT world. From my first diagnostic, Brad was able to assess my weaknesses, and come up with a comprehensive plan on how we ought to go about improving my score. He first taught me the reading skills curriculum, which greatly improved my reading and vocabulary skills. For each section, Brad has a unique and methodical method that is designed to help you answer the questions. Studying for the LSAT can be a daunting task, but with Brads strategies everything becomes simple. Realistically, of course, the key to getting a better LSAT score is a two way street. One needs to be able to put in the effort and time into doing the homework in order for improvement to materialize. I can proudly say that after learning the entire curriculum and taking the LSAT, my score increased by 23 points! If you pick Brad as your LSAT tutor, he will surely contribute to making a difference in your LSAT performance. In addition, not only is Brad the epitome of an LSAT genius, but he is also a very accommodating teacher. Brad works with your schedule when scheduling for tutoring sessions, and is open to meeting at the location of your choice. He is very punctual and professional. I highly recommend Brad as your LSAT tutor! He is like no other; he will work hard with you to reach your goal. Lastly, receiving tutoring from Brad will assure you a learning experience that cannot be taken away; his curriculum not only prepares you for the LSAT, but it simultaneously prepares you for law school and your future.
In addition to being a more than capable teacher, Brad has a truly profound understanding of the LSAT. While Brad only tutored me for 5 sessions, I was able to improve my score by 6 points on the October 2015 LSAT. The opportunities this has given me in terms of where I can go to law school was unquestionably worth the time and money I gave to Brad; many top 20 law schools are now well within my reach! Furthermore, the principles of logic he has taught me will continue to prove useful throughout my legal education and career. The first thing I realized about Brads method was how meticulous he was in teaching it, and how completely it had broken down every possible question type on the test. You dont pay Brad for gimmicky test taking tips or for him to be your motivational speaker. Rather, he is there to help you understand the questions on the LSAT on a fundamental level, allowing you to reach the right answer faster, with more confidence, and of course with a much higher degree of accuracy.I can fully recommend hiring Brad as your LSAT tutor. It would be difficult if not impossible to find an LSAT tutor with a greater understanding of the test, a better method, or a more effective way of teaching it. Understand that the time, effort, and money you will expend tutoring with Brad is but a tiny price to pay for the benefits his teaching will ultimately bring you.
Brads tutoring style is thorough, organized and straightforward. He is very professional and appreciates working with students who show professionalism and respect for his time and effort. Please be on time!! His worksheets helped tremendously when I was trying to work problems out. Although I ended up changing my career path, tutoring with Brad was a good experience for me, and it taught me how to study in an organized fashion.
For those of you who do NOT have certain specific schools you would like to attend and just want to get into an accredited law school, this is a MUST read. Even if you are not a great test taker, my story should be a clear example that with hard work and help from Brad, YOU can get there.Discouraged, distraught, and unmotivated are how I felt after seeing the results of my first attempt at the LSAT. I had received an embarrassing score of 129. Looking for help in every which way, I finally stumbled across Brad after plenty of online searching. I explained to Brad how different my situation was compared to many others. I told him that I just needed one acceptance from any accredited school. He immediately understood but regardless saw the potential I had after months of his curriculum. Brad has the LSAT down to a science as you will see. He has broken down every part of the test through methods that he WILL teach you. He picked up fast that for some odd reason logic games were my strong point. If he notices that you’re particularly good in a section, he will make you YOUR best in that section and get as many points as possible. Every section and every question we ever went over came with thorough explanations as to why an answer choice was correct and why one was wrong. There were plenty of low and high moments as arguably those were some of the toughest months of my life studying. But Brad’s curriculum and his flexibility with booking sessions were perfect. It simply felt like an extension of a normal course you would take specifically focused on YOU. He’s very personable and helpful not only just with the material, but also with everything within the whole law school process.Let me get back to the jump in points I had. I took the LSAT 4 times. YES, 4 times. First was the 129, second I canceled after messing something up, the third I got a 138, and my last time I got a 144. The 138 was January 2019 and the 144 was March 2019. Brad got my score to increase 15 points over the course of a year. I can’t tell you how many blogs, reviews, experts, etc. that told me a 144 would not be sufficient to get in. DO NOT LISTEN. Brad will beef up your application!!!Once I received that score, I ran back to Brad and asked him if we could use some sessions to write a well-written personal statement to put forth my best qualities and an addendum to explain any flaws I had in my undergrad career. He did it again. I wrote both as best as I could and he helped me edit them. I must have applied to over 20 schools with that score and that personal statement both local (NY/NJ/PA) but practically everywhere else. I got a conditional acceptance ironically enough to the same school my father attended which forced me to take 2 courses online. Brad was able to teach me his law school overview course simultaneously while I was taking these courses over the summer. After taking their exams, I did significantly well, but the school’s conditional acceptance policy was weird in that they were allowed to waitlist me and then ultimately reject me. I’m not upset that that happened as I believe everything happens for a reason. Regardless, I still got 4 acceptances and I ended up accepting Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, FL. Through everything I’ve ever done with Brad, it made me feel like I had a little more experience prior to attending my first year in law school. I just received my first A- in my legal writing and research course and am still waiting for the rest of my first semester grades.
I came to Brad after taking a 3 month TestMasters course while also studying independently for the exam for over 4 months. Yet, I was unable to get to the fourth passage on any reading comprehension section. As a result, my score was heavily impacted by having to guess on 7-8 questions.Fortunately, I found Brad who taught me his unique reading comprehension method that not only helped me read faster but also improved my accuracy per passage. Brad was also helpful in answering my questions and pinpointing the areas of mine that needed special attention. For instance, there were certain words on the reading comprehension section that I did not fully understand. After a few sessions, Brad noticed I was missing questions based on my misunderstanding of those words and encouraged me to start making flash cards for any words I did not understand. Due to this, I was able to speed up even more. After only six sessions (12 hours), my score jumped seven points. So, I highly recommend Brad for any help you may need on the LSAT - especially RC!
When I first began my LSAT journey in college, I did what many other prospective law students do: google search the best test prep companies for the LSAT, look at reviews, and ask classmates for feedback on their experiences. Having heard about the advantages of private tutoring, I decided to go with PowerScore. From the get-go, I was lost. I was learning a bunch of tips and tricks on addressing certain question types. I learned about the basic tactics of drilling logic games. After purchasing a 20 hour tutoring package, I thought to myself, “Is this the best there is to offer?” After all this tutoring, I had not improved my score at all. I felt stuck. Hopeless, even. Then I met Brad. The LSAT isn’t a race. It’s a journey. Brad taught me that. If you view the LSAT as something you can study for in 2 months and get a 175, you’re sadly mistaken. The LSAT Genius is by far the best LSAT tutor you can work with for the following reasons:1) You are not learning little tips and tricks that add nominal score increases to the test. You are learning the fundamentals of logic that will allow you to flourish on the test, and BEYOND!2) Brad is a teacher first and foremost. Many LSAT tutors will advertise that they are qualified to tutor students because they themselves received top scores on the LSAT. As I experienced myself, there is a major difference between getting a high LSAT score and teaching students to get to that point. Brad is patient with students and is enthusiastic about what he does. At no point will you feel rushed.3) Other test prep companies will say they can get you 5 point score increases. With Brad, it is normal for his students to get 20 point score increases. I will never forget the day I got a perfect score on the logical reasoning section. Prior to taking Brad’s course, I was lucky to get half of the questions correct!Overall, I would highly recommend Brad to anyone thinking about doing tutoring for the LSAT. Skip the test prep courses. You’ll be glad you did!
Before I delve into a review of my current LSAT journey, I think I should provide some background on my previous experience. I took an LSAT prep course as an undergraduate and did not do well, so I decided to put it aside and focus on my career after graduation. I tried again to give Kaplan a second go after I finished my MBA, and this time, I had enough money saved to even tack on additional 1:1 tutoring. I actually did worse than I did years earlier as an undergraduate. Not wanting to give up, I tried one tutor who professed to be a working attorney in the NYC area, and after two sessions, I realized that the individual was neither a working attorney nor even had a method/curriculum for teaching the LSAT. During my second session with the attorney, after I realized that I might be wasting my money AGAIN, I heard back from Brad and he mentioned his free consultation. I took him up on his offer; after all, what did I have to lose other than that one hour?I left so enthused after that one session simply because after all these years - with just a few minutes of going through WHY the answers I chose were either right or wrong, I finally got it. Brad made even the harder question types seem like a piece of cake with only a few quick tips. I knew I hadnt even scratched the surface of all the methods and shortcuts that I was about to learn with Brad and decided to work with him after that free consultation. I sent Brad my last LSAT exam and he was able to laser focus on my weaknesses, so that when we went back to cover question types, we could focus on the problematic questions longer than the question types that might have been a bit easier for me based on the test results. When I look back to analyze what was the difference between Brad and the rest I have worked with, Brad actually had the one thing that all the others lacked: the skill of teaching. He is a true teacher at heart. The rest were regurgitating the method they were paid to teach, versus looking for a tailored way to make sure a students light bulb goes off. I felt like I was back in high school with my favorite AP math and science teachers, breaking down the most complex concepts into digestible easy ways, and you knew WHY you did it that way versus just memorizing a method.By far one of the most important things that automatically came after tutoring sessions with Brad was rebuilding my confidence. After having my ego destroyed numerous times from the test score despite all my effort and hours of work and only seeing 2 or 4 point increases, I started regaining my confidence in my abilities. When I would show Brad that my answers on a question type were all correct, he would respond by asking why are you surprised? He both expects perfection and mastery on questions and also sees this from ALL of his students. On top of being a full-time working executive with an excruciating work schedule, I am also a spouse and a parent of a highly energized toddler. I am so ecstatic that I finally found someone to help me crack this test!
I always knew I wanted to be a lawyer, so I worked really hard in college and got a great GPA. Then I graduated and got some good work experience. By the time I was ready to apply, I was like, okay great, now all I have to do is perform well on the LSAT. How hard could it be?Well, for me, it was harder than I expected. My first practice test turned back a score wayyyyy lower than my target schools would accept. Eeek, I thought. What am I going to do? I was certain I wanted to go to a great law school, especially since I worked so hard in college. When I met Brad, I immediately trusted everything was going to work out how I wanted it to. And so started the tutoring process. I was amazed not only by his curriculum, but by how much he genuinely cares about his students. He met me anytime that was convenient for me. More importantly, however, he taught me not only how to excel on the LSAT, but also how to be a much more logical person, which will serve me well in the legal profession and in life. To be honest, the process of learning his curriculum was not easy — it was a ton of hard work. But ultimately, it was totally worth it. My score jumped 18 points! Crazy. I didnt think it was going to be possible, but it was with Brads help. The help didnt stop there, though. When it came time to craft my applications, Brad helped me formulate my story, picking details out of my life that would make me an interesting applicant. I honestly hadnt considered those things to be that special, but he knows what makes people individuals. But because he took the time to get to know me as a person, he helped me write a stellar application essay. And guess what? Im headed to Penn Law in the fall, and I couldnt be more thrilled! I cant recommend him enough. Seriously.
I first met with Brad when I was entering my senior year of college. At the time, I thought that I would just study for a few months, apply during the first semester of my senior year, and get into the law school of my choice. After starting tutoring with Brad, I quickly realized that I was underestimating the LSAT and the law school application process. Before meeting with Brad, I had taken a Blueprint LSAT course and I can wholeheartedly say I learned literally nothing. It was disorganized and very confusing to me. I felt that the curriculum wasn’t structured properly either. To use an analogy, to learn multiplication and division, you need to know how to properly add and subtract first. Brad and his one-of-a-kind curriculum did not do what the course did. He does exactly the opposite and that is what I needed: a curriculum that starts by teaching the necessary basics and then builds upon that foundation, slowly and steadily in a cohesive manner. After starting my tutoring lessons with Brad, I realized that he was the real deal. His curriculum is perfectly structured and I cannot emphasize that enough! In order to do well on the LSAT, you need to learn and understand things properly before you can tackle certain question types. Brad not only properly teaches you how to solve all the question types in all the different sections of the LSAT, but he teaches you the foundation and background knowledge you need in order to answer a question correctly. His curriculum and methods are mapped out precisely and spoon-fed to you. There is no wasting time or risk of confusion. If you are a student who is dedicated and wants to maximize their score increase, then you should contact Brad.Another great thing about Brad is that even if you take time away from studying for the LSAT, he helps you get back on track! I have been receiving on-and-off tutoring from Brad since graduating college because I decided to get my MBA before law school. After completing my MBA, I wanted to resume my LSAT studies and Brad always helped me get back on track. He makes sure a student is comfortable with what they have learned before teaching them the next part of the curriculum.I recommend Brad because he tells you what you need to hear, not necessarily what you want to hear. Like I said, I had underestimated the LSAT. People go into the LSAT expecting to get the score of their dreams in a matter of weeks or months. The LSAT is a skill-based test, and in order to develop a skill, you need to practice. It doesn’t matter if you had the best GPA in college; that doesn’t guarantee that you’ll ace the LSAT.With much hard work, dedication, and with Brad by my side, I can confidently say that I have improved significantly since my diagnostic score. To be specific, I jumped 17 points! If you are willing to invest in private tutoring, do not spend your money elsewhere. You will not be disappointed by Brad’s incredible teaching skills, patience, and genius curriculum!
I wish to second all of the accolades for The LSAT Genius. Brad has been truly instrumental in my success with the LSAT and beyond. I came to him in 2016 with no prior LSAT experience or prep, and a full work schedule which allowed me minimal study time. I knew going into the LSAT prep that I needed a tutor who could push me and help raise my score while making the most of my time. Brad was the best tutor for me--something I came to realize almost immediately after attending consultations with other area tutors. What drew me immediately to Brad was his unique curriculum which he devised himself, his ability to explain a concept in ways in which I would understand, and his complete candor.Brads curriculum is one of a kind. As others have said in their review of his curriculum, if you learn his method and implement it exactly you will be able to eliminate the wrong answer choices quickly. Brad has a way of breaking down the sections beginning with macro learning. The curriculum then delves into the minutia detail--the nuances of each problem type (the many varied LR problems, LG types, and a unique method for how to tackle Reading Comprehension). If I was having any issues comprehending a trend or problem type, Brad made sure that I understood. He would make up scenarios that were applicable to my life and interests so that I would be able to grasp the idea in a larger, more familiar context. Then he would bring that understanding back to LSAT specific problems. He was incredibly thorough and thoughtful throughout my first meeting with him all the way through to my application process.Brad was also very candid--a trait which many other tutors are not. He helped me to realize that for me, it was best not to rush the process. Together we were methodical, thorough, and calculated. It was this approach that enabled me to boost my score, gain confidence in my test taking, and ultimately made me a more logical person.I also chose to have Brad edit my personal statement because he was so instrumental in my LSAT success and improvement. Not only did he know exactly how to coax the right story out of me, but his editing helped me to laser focus my essay. It is because of him that I got so many hand written compliments about my essay from law school admissions.I really cant say enough about how amazing Brad is. I am grateful I hadnt had any test prep prior, but know that I wouldnt have reached my full LSAT potential without him and certainly would not have had such a comprehensive understanding of the LSAT and logic in general. Brad cares about you as an individual and cares about your capacity to learn. Its not just about the numbers for him--he truly wants you to be a better student, person, and a better master of logic. He was there no matter what throughout this whole process, and was always a txt, phone call, or meeting away--and he still is! Without a doubt I would chose Brad 1,000 times over.Because of Brads unparalleled support and my hard work, I attend law school with a large merit-based scholarship and am academically prepared.
As other reviewers for The LSAT Genius have stated, Brad has changed my life. I really started taking Brad only as an alternative that seemed different from other LSAT tutors. Other courses I had taken and other tutors I had tried had their own individual methods or categorical answers to problems but they certainly dont have Brads curriculum. He has an exact method for every single question type in logical reasoning that will get you the answer as well as for the other section types. His method will get you to eliminate the wrong answers and eliminate them quickly. You simply have to learn his method and implement it.Moreover, Brads course teaches you how to think critically. His curriculum does not only extend to the test. It extends into your way of thinking. He will challenge you. He expects the most out of his students and if you rise to it you will get a double digit score increase. The benefits of studying with Brad dont end with his course; they transfer to your personal life as well as law school.Brad is flexible, especially for Skype students, as I was. He will shape his schedule around you, instead of the other way around. He will give you extra time to make sure you understand a question or to finish a particular lesson over a concept. You can text him almost anytime and he will get back to you about almost any LSAT/law school related issue. If you can, use Brads services for LSAT preparation. No other prep service compares in regard to quality, professionalism or consistent results.
I feel very lucky to have found Brad the LSAT genius when I did. I was coming off a terrible experience with Testmasters and I needed a game plan that was catered to my needs as a student who struggles with standardized testing. Brad and I worked tirelessly throughout the next couple months to boost my score. Luckily, I saw a 17 point increase from my initial diagnostic test (no previous knowledge or studying whatsoever) to when I took the October 2012 LSAT.Due to some changing life events, I ended up postponing law school applications for several years. I recontacted Brad last year to see if we could push that 17 point score increase into something even higher. I am pleased to report that I received an additional 7 point increase when I took the February 2016 LSAT. Studying for the LSAT was completely demoralizing and put me through so much anxiety. Ive never been a fan of standardized tests, so going into this felt like I was already coming from a point of weakness. However, Brad guided me through the most challenging parts of this experience and really helped me gain the confidence to realize that I was capable of a 24 point score increase. What sets Brad apart from other tutors is that he is honest and will give you realistic assessments of where you are in your LSAT journey. I know a few people who went into the LSAT completely underestimating the test. Bottom-line... you can conquer the LSAT but dont expect a 15 point score increase in a week. Brad gave me an assessment of what he thought was possible given my timeline and resources. I found this to be really valuable... and accurate! He is also incredibly flexible and will modify the curriculum to suit your needs. For example, when I recontacted Brad I was in the position of being a student who was strong in logic games but weak in logical reasoning. Instead of rehashing areas where I knew I didnt need help, we laser-focused on logical reasoning and spent some time with reading comp. You unfortunately dont get that sort of customization when you take a big prep course. It is that sort of personal attention that made all the difference on test day.My experience was great and I truly hope that students who feel beat up by this whole process turn their attention to a professional! Tutoring is of course an investment of serious time and money.... but I received a good return on my efforts :)My final word of advice is dont get sucked into the trap of some shake and bake LSAT teacher who really doesnt have any experience. There are plenty of eager law school/Ph.D. grads who haphazardly take on students without any serious teaching experience. Brad is someone with years of experience. He is patient, knowledgable, and knows how to connect with students. He is a professional through and through. These qualities really shine through and make a difference for his students.
As a student who has always accomplished by self-studying, I felt that I would be able to self-study my way through the LSAT by means of various prep courses and online resources. I first began with the PowerScore bibles and thought, “Hey, maybe I can do this!” But after months of studying, and the purchase of the Manhattan Prep interactive LSAT course in addition to my PowerScore purchases, I was still not hitting my goal score. My initial diagnostic test was a 154 and, through months and months of studying, I plateaued in the high 160s. This was still short of my ideal score, but no matter how much more I studied, I was unable to break the barrier and push on to the next tier of LSAT scores. To be honest, I lost hope in my test taking abilities. That is, until I met Brad. Brad is unlike any other tutor I have ever met. He is kind and caring, easy to converse with, and sincerely wants you to excel at both the exam and life. But it is not just his personable attitude that sets him apart, it is his thorough, precise, and overall outstanding curriculum that makes him, in my opinion, the best LSAT tutor available. His carefully constructed lessons were able to make this ambiguous and difficult exam into something much more manageable, accomplishable, and even fun to do. Brad made things easy to understand and showed me exactly how my goal score was accomplishable by identifying my strengths and weaknesses with incredible precision.I am extremely thankful that I met Brad before I gave up on studying for the LSAT altogether. It is because of Brad and his incredible teaching abilities that I have now achieved my goal score on the LSAT and am heading to the law school of my dreams!
My undergrad GPA is below a 3.0. Being an aeronautical science major, a Division I athlete, and dealing with some personal issues during undergrad negatively impacted my grades. My goal was to go to a T14 law school, so I had my work cut out for me: I had to do very well on the LSAT. I dreaded the LSAT; I was petrified of getting a bad score. Eventually, the LSAT consumed my life and became the only important thing in my life.I began my LSAT journey in 2013. For three years, I bought every LSAT book that was available—you name it, I tried it. I wanted to master the LSAT and be able to tackle every possible problem on the test. Along with the LSAT books, I tried a plethora of LSAT courses (classroom and online) and private tutors. I still didn’t feel confident that I had grasped what I needed to know to do well. My practice exams were showing me that I didn’t fully understand how to tackle the questions. I personally know when I know something and know when I don’t know something. I cannot fake it or act like I know; my confidence and performance will let me know. The LSAT was very overwhelming to me, and I plateaued for a long time before meeting Brad. So I went from one prep company to the next, one tutor to the next, and one book to the next in search of what I didn’t know, hoping that maybe someone would present that information in a way that would turn the light bulb in my brain on.Well, Brad was that person. Brad broke down the test to its simplest form and provided clear, efficient, effective, and flawless methods. Brad’s methods allowed me to re-engage with the test and made me feel so much more confident in my abilities. Most importantly, with Brad’s diligent guidance, I was able to apply these methods during the test without hesitation. I feel that this is very important. Most of the other test prep companies, books, and tutors I tried gave the most convoluted and complicated advice to memorize during a mentally exhausting test. Brad’s methods are like a construction worker’s toolbelt. Each tool in the construction worker’s toolbelt serves a particular purpose. The construction worker doesn’t hesitate or try to use a different tool to solve a problem that the tool wasn’t meant for. The construction worker is confident about where to find the tool, how to use it, how it operates, and when to use it.The greatest aspect about Brad, above all, is that he is dedicated to providing his students with the knowledge and ability to succeed on the LSAT. It is not about money with Brad. I know the tutoring is quite expensive, but at the end of the day, it is very much worth it. I’ve experienced tutors who schedule a certain allotment of time and when that time is up, you have to purchase more time or stop, whether you understood the lesson/objective for that day or not. Everyone learns differently. I know I do. Suppose you are a slower learner, like myself. There are so many variables when learning or teaching are involved. Brad, on the other hand, literally, I swear to God, stops the clock and tries to explain something to you if he sees that you aren’t grasping it or are having problems. Due to the fact that I had experience with other LSAT resources, my train of thought was sometimes stuck on what I had learned before and I couldn’t comprehend Brad’s methods clearly, so he had to break my bad habits. To break bad habits you have to explain and show why it is wrong and then show the correct habit. This takes time. Brad would stop the clock and speak for long periods of time—extremely long. This meant a lot to me. This made me feel confident that I had made the right decision in choosing Brad.
