I worked with Paul B at Manhattan Elite prep several times a week for about 4 months for MCAT prep. I had received a score that I was not pleased with originally, and Paul was able to help me figure out the areas to focus on in order to raise the score. This was mainly the physical science section. I learned how to read the passages, what to look for in the questions, and how to identify the specific passage type. With these tools, I was able to narrow down what steps to take next. Paul also taught me to work quickly and efficiently by memorizing how to understand common figures and passage types, when to use which equations, and how to maintain optimal timing as I moved through each test section. Paul was also very uplifting and confident in me, which really helped on the days where I was feeling like I couldnt succeed. Additionally, we had begun working together with the plan to meet for 2 months, at which point I would take the MCAT. Unfortunately, my test date was pushed back on several occasions. Paul was very gracious to work with me for so long, and kept adding more detailed and difficult things to learn as we progressed. Additionally, he was very motivating to keep pushing through and never quit as plans continued to change or be completely up in the air. Reuben S. was my tutor for the GRE for 2 weeks. Due to COVID-19 my study plans have drastically changed last minute, so I only had 2 weeks to study for the GRE test. My vocabulary and geometry was pretty hopeless at first. Reuben was honest in telling me that it would be extremely difficult to get a good score within such a short amount of time, which I greatly appreciated. However, at the end, Reuben still helped me achieve a score that was sufficiently above the minimum requirement for LSEs MSc in Econ. I had Uday as an instructor, I found that my overall experience was quite good. The instructor came to my house so unfortunately sometimes scheduling became and issue and extended the amount of weeks needed to complete the course. Also, keep in mind that each teacher has different techniques, so not all tutors provided by Manhattan Elite Prep have the same teaching methods.

I have applied for in class tutoring that was not available finally. I have then agreed to go for online tutoring but I was scared as I though this may not help me to learn properly as much as in person. I need to admit that I was wrong. It is very helpful and structured. My tutor is Stuart and I will recommend him to everyone! He is very nice and kind person trying to help me as much as he can. I decided to take GMAT classes in order to improve my score in areas I think I had space to improve.My instructor, Nathaniel, was crucial for my progress. Nathaniel has the ability to quickly identify your areas/opportunities of improvements and to coach you on the process of learning. His strong math background helped me to achieve a good grade in the quantitative section.He also demonstrate great knowledge on the GMAT test structure and content.

In December, a few weeks ago, I attended their LSAT online long course. I found it very interactive and demonstrative with solving problems. The instructor was able to cover all scheduled topics and material with tips and strategies. I emailed the business and filled out a feedback form and rated nearly all aspects 5 on a scale from 1-5. Their admin support is very prompt and detailed. The teacher was very prepared, engaging and knowledgeable. The course material is comprehensive. The only area to improve is the allocation of time per topic, given other students have different needs in the class. I was very pleasantly surprised given that I was quite unsure what I was gonna get originally. Highly recommend it. If you have any concerns, just call or email them, like what I did. They are quite flexible, in comparison to other larger firms.

I registered for online TOEFL classes. As soon as I registered, Abraham, helped me in setting up a class with my instructor. My instructor is Kara Golani. I, however, did have some troubles with Manhattan Elite Prep itself-I had previously had troubles with another tutor, and organizing a proper tutor arrangement was difficult. I had an issue with a previous tutor who was very condescending, and manhattan elite replaced this tutor with someone who could not teach math-although I had repeatedly told the company that I needed a tutor who focused on math. While I was happy with the tutoring that I did end up receiving from Ms. Walia, I was not impressed with the Manhattan Elite Prep companys ability to respond to my previous concerns.

Marc Brodeur, I took GMAT classes with him and I couldnt believe all the clarified ideas and the patience with he teaches. The course was absolutely great and he has a lot of qualities as a teacher who you can improve your knowledge so quickly. Thank you very much Marc and Manhattan Elite Prep

She made me practice few topics and reviewed clearly in the next class which was very useful. She easily identified my weaknesses and we worked together to improve them. If you want to make sure to be extremely well prepared for a specific test, both from the technical and mental point of view, you need to pick Manhattan Elite Prep. The teaching service provided by Manhattans teachers is outstanding and really high-quality. Although the courses are not really cheap, both the private and the class ones, I believe theyre really worth the money if you aim to achieve a challenging grade.I worked with Linda for preparing the GRE test and I cannot think of one single blemish of her teaching method. Not only is Linda extremely qualified, shes also kind, flexible and emphatic with all your troubles and concerns about the exam. Shes also able to tailor the private tutoring to the specific students needs and the outcomes of such a course are really effective and visible. I definitely would recommend Linda to whoever should attend the GRE exam!

I had Mr. Vinh as my GMAT private teacher covering the Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative section of the test. I found he was able to explain the structure of the GMAT test very well, and along with the many strategy tips he provided, I was able to formulate an effective strategy for myself. Furthermore, Mr. Vinh is very patient and able to break down complex problems into simple steps.Overall, I had an enjoyable experience, and he has boosted my confidence in preparation for the exam.

I had a great experience with Sunny poonian for TOEFL. He is really a good teacher and tried me to improve my weak points. There was a time that I gave up for TOEFL. I know it sounds like a cliché, but learning English has never been so fun as with my instructor Vanessa Monique Smith. I was amazed by the accuracy and completeness of the analysis she conducted on differences between my native language and English and she continued to surprise me every session we had. As for efficiency, I would like to give you an example, when you have a toothache, you do not ask for help from a bus driver, so why do not you delegate your English to the professionals?

I had signed up for a group class, but they didnt have enough people for my class so they have me private tutoring instead, which was way better! My goal was to get a general feel of what the GRE is going to be like and what to expect from it. Cynthia Kravitch definitely helped me achieve this goal and went above and beyond it. She was very honest and clear. She was very knowledgeable about the ins and outs of the test. I feel very lucky to have had such a great instructor!

I had a great experience with my private tutor, Peter, in the Dallas, TX area. With only two weeks until my GRE, I was not receiving the scores I needed on the Quantitative portion of the test. Peter and I met 5 separate times for tutoring and was able to significantly help with my math scores. I went from consistently scoring in the mid 140s to scoring a 155 on my test.My only frustration is that Manhattan did not have a curriculum/book that they suggested. I had to use the Princeton Review books I had already purchased with my tutor.

My tutor Eran did a great job helping me prepare for the GRE in short order. I hadnt taken a math class in years and he was very helpful in both the basics and more advanced math as we moved along in the studies.

I recently completed one on one online private tutoring for the GRE through Manhattan Elite Prep. It was an extremely invaluable experience. Stuart Evensen, my tutor, was able to isolate my issues and work through them with me. I would also recommend the live and interactive online tutoring interface that Manhattan Elite Prep has established (especially for those like me do not reside in the USA). I think it works as good as face to face tutoring. A fantastic experience overall.

I had to prepare for the SAT, and Cynthia was great help. She gave me strategies that helped me answer questions much faster since its a timed test. Reading questions that were very confusing, she broke them down for me, and after using that trick, the questions became so easy. Of course I had to do most of the work on my own, but after checking them, she analyzed exactly what was the problem I had with each different types of questions I got wrong.

My GRE private tutoring sessions went very well. Elizabeth Isenor was very knowledgeable and prepared, with an academic and tutoring resume to match her skills. Even more importantly, she was kind and personable. The emotional side of studying for an exam can be key also. If youre scared or lacking in confidence, youre not likely to succeed.I went into my GRE prep not knowing much about what the test would be like, and I was anxious, but Elizabeth helped me calm down from our very first session. We came up with a plan, and with her help I soon discovered that both Analytical Writing and Verbal Reasoning were well within my strengths. I was extremely apprehensive about the Quantitative Reasoning, since Ive always been bad at math, but Elizabeth helped me approach the math in a productive manner. Even when I was frustrated, she was very patient and supportive, encouraging me to keep on going.I ended up scoring a 5.0 (out of 6) on the Analytical Writing and 168 (out of 170) on Verbal Reasoning. Even my 150 (out of 170) in Quantitative Reasoning was quite a bit higher than I expected to get on day one of my GRE prep. I couldnt have done it without Elizabeth. She was great at guiding my studies and letting me know I was on the right track. She was able to answer all my questions effectively, and most of all, she was a person I could relate to. Elizabeths friendliness put me at ease right from the beginning, and I truly enjoyed our sessions (something I never thought would happen). She is a great tutor because she has both knowledge and the ability to help you pick up that knowledge.If youre in or near Calgary and you need to prep for the GRE or a similar exam covered by Manhattan Elite, I highly recommend asking for Elizabeth Isenor. Manhattans services are pricey, but for me, they worked out.

I recently used Manhattan Elite’s private tutor, Stuart Evensen (Portland, OR), to study for a GMAT-style test. Going in, I had very little confidence in my mathematical abilities; I’ve always done far better with verbal tests than with quantitative. Stuart helped me immensely with my math skills and instilled in me the confidence that I was lacking for the test, itself. He emphasized that this test is only partially about the mathematics - equally as important is the reasoning behind the problems. He helped me to figure out the problem-solving process that worked best for me, which is to take it slowly, write everything down, and be very methodical in my reasoning. I was very impressed with his attention to students’ individual learning styles and his dedication to making sure that students approach the problems in the way that best suits their own needs and abilities. I would absolutely recommend him as a tutor.

I had very less time for Toefl preparation. Marie L. made her schedule free in short notice and made a great job training me for the speaking part in only three online classes per webcam.Thanks to her Knowledge in Toefl and efficient way of teaching it, I got better and more confident in my first Toefel exam. Comparing my real test scores to the ETS simulation before the online classes, these three hours helped me increase 2 points in the speaking part.I could use her hints also in the writing part, and this means I got also more points and can write better essays thanks to her.Many thanks to Marie L. and the Manhattan Elite Prep Team who made it possible. I prepared for the GMAT with Vinh, specifically in Verbal and Geometry. Vinh explained everything clearly with many examples. He also provided me with helpful strategies and tricks to tackle different kinds of questions.

Manhattan Elite Prep and my tutor Lindsay Coleman did a wonderful job preparing me for the GRE and I was able to do better than what I originally thought possible by obtaining a 325. Lessons were extremely focused, helpful, well structured, and content and homework were tailored to my specific needs.

I paid for Manhattan Testpreps TOEFL program back in May 2018. The program was advertised as a package of TOEFL test preparation classes taught by (i) experienced instructors with intimate TOEFL knowledge (ii) in a group setting meant to maximize the students learning experience. Upon payment, Manhattan Testpreps sent an off the shelf questionnaire designed to place me in an upcoming session, at which point I clearly mentioned my anticipated test date in two months of July 2018. Manhattan Testprep failed to place me in a session that matched the requirements per the questionnaire as they did not have group sessions available. In fact, Manhattan Testprep forced me to compromise for a completely different private tutoring package that failed to provide the unique benefits advertised with group preparation. Without any alternative options provided by Manhattan Testprep, I was asked to attend the private tutoring sessions (ii) not in a group setting but (i) taught by an experienced TOEFL instructor. After two introductory sessions with the assigned instructor, I learnt this instructor had absolutely no experience teaching the TOEFL. This clearly contradicts the terms and condition of Manhattan Testpreps TOEFL preparation program offering. With the upcoming July 2018 test date and Manhattan Testprep failure to honor the terms and conditions, I was forced to promptly cancel the program and seek a full refund. The refund was requested on June 8 2018.Manhattan Testprep argued against any refund as per their refund policy, which was only shared as reference after I filed the dispute. Furthermore, with regards to any policy reference, its only valid if and only if the merchant renders its promised product or service. In this particular case, Manhattan Testprep falsely advertised a program offering and failed to deliver the promised service. This kind of behavior is deceptive and unlawful.

I started my private sessions with George after my crash session was rescheduled. I was looking for help with general GMAT strategy and a quantitative refresher (strong math background). He was a fantastic teacher and exceeded expectations in all regards. I was skeptical about the effectiveness of web-based instruction but was pleasantly surprised with the WebEx platform. Through Georges help, I achieved my target score of 710, 50Q 37V. I would highly recommend George, especially for students in a similar situation. MEP office staff were very professional and accommodating throughout the process.

It was great experience working with Ted Coopersmith.I havent practiced math for many years but we could cover many things from pre algebra, arithmetic, geometry. I am very satisfied with the Manhattan tutorial system. My son AbuTorab and his tutor got along very well. They found 20 hours to study for the ACT exams and my son covered the English, Maths and Sciences as needed. He had not been exposed to the test nor had he experience of these types of exams as he is French educated.His tutor gave him a personalized experience and gave me, his parent, much feedback. I am requesting another 20h of classes so we can maximize Torabs understanding of the exam.

In prepping for the new GRE exam, Don was a great instructor. The classes are small so everyone received the proper attention they deserved. Don definitely tried to cater to helping everyone learn and understand the material and was very open to any and all questions. I havent taken the exam yet so I cant speak to my results, but I do have confidence that the GRE prep class gave me the necessary tools to go into the exam much more prepared than if I went in without the additional prep.

I have been working with Mary Owens for 2 hour long private tutoring sessions for the past few weeks. I have had a wonderful experiencing working with her on identifying my strengths and weaknesses while preparing for the GRE. I have taken the GRE before and she has done an excellent job helping me to focus my attention on improving my math scores. She has been very flexible with my schedule and takes the time to research topics which I find confusing which she then brings to me at our tutoring sessions. I am having a wonderful time working with Mary and I am confident that with her help I will be able to boost my scores!

Dan Kaplan was a great resource during the preparation for my GMAT. We just had a couple classes but in that time he provided really good pointers on how best to approach the exam.The Manhattan Elite Prep materials were very helpful. I originally signed up for the intensive course but it was not offered in my region due to low enrollment and while they did offer individual training for about 4 hrs. and the online courses which were great, it would have been good to have more individual training time especially since I had originally signed up for that. Additionally it would be great to have the video content available for more than 6 months from the time your purchase it to atleast a year.

Besa was a fantastic tutor! She was extremely accommodating to my schedule, really listened to what my goals were and set a strategic path to help me accomplish those goals. She was very patient with me when I did not understand something and was able to explain things in ways that helped me get a full understanding of what i was learning. I was happy with my overall score for the GRE and am awaiting decisions from the schools Ive applied to. Could not ask for a better tutor.

Very disappointed in the lack of effort this GMAT prep company had. I was looking for a private tutor crash course that would give me tips and tools to use before I took the test. First, the WebX platform didnt work so I had to study by phone with the tutor. Second, the tutor they assigned to me wasnt very helpful at all. All he did was assign problems for me to solve and just sat there. After solving them hed tell me if they were right or wrong and never explained the different approaches to the question or how to better solve a question in the shortest amount of time. So, I asked for a new tutor and they assigned me another online tutor again. This time, we skyped together. She was better than the first but still not very helpful. Overall, I wouldnt recommend this GMAT prep program. There are much better GMAT preps out there.
