Steve Mandel is indefatigable, brilliant, super kind and a joy to work with. I had an unusual case involving custody of my beloved dog. He never once made me feel silly about the nature of the case, in fact just the opposite, Steve is a dog lover and treated what was an extraordinarily painful process for me with complete and utter respect. He WON my case and in doing so, made me about the happiest dog mom in the world. I was destroyed at the thought of losing my baby. Steve saved the day. He continues to check in with my pup and me occasionally, which I greatly appreciate, especially since this was many years ago. He has helped me with myriad other questions and issues since then and I simply would not go to anyone else. Five stars plus plus plus!!!

Avoid Steve Mandel Law Firm At all costs. You will be victimized. Big sales pitch to get your money, then they do nothing. Their negligence in filing papers etc results in making your case worse. Then they ask for more money to fix it.Steve Mandel is nothing but a liar, claims he knows your judge (he doesn’t), So he guarantees a successful outcome.You will end up in a worse legal position than you were in before you hired him.Steve Mandel is a fraud, after he gets your money there is no communication, he does no work, and he made inappropriate advances. He got caught double-billing, charges for phone calls he never made, and pads the bill for conferences with people that work for him. he gets a $25k retainer and $700 an hour, then pawns the work off on paralegals. His wife works in the office to monitor his behavior with female clients as he has a history of being inappropriate.Steve Mandel Law Firm is a complete con-man operation, ineffectual, no representation results in contempt of court, then asks for more money to fix the problem that he created.seems to show signs of dementia, makes a lot of promises and doesn’t follow through.Has an employee in the office cold-calling to ask clients for more money or payments on a credit card after I’ve already paid him.

Trust me, there is no other law firm to trust with your divorce than the Mandel law firm. Steve and his team are an excellent set of professional attorneys to make sure your assets are protected and you win! Even beyond the divorce this law firm still reaches out to ensure youre doing ok--they actually become the friends/family you need that help you get through one of the toughest times in life. Over the years I have called upon Steve Mandel to represent me in litigation on several occasions. He has always been diligent in resolving matters in my favor. My experience was really bad. Before you start taking you have to put your debit card and pay 2000 dollars up front to begin with. Afterwards you are being treated bad, they won’t answer your emails, they would schedule you for a meeting/call and they won’t show up. Basically they would delay your case as much as possible and you won’t be treated as a human being.Claim to be gay friendly.... not my experience.

Mr Mandel and staff are an absolute godsend. I never had to deal with the endeavor of having a divorce. I went into it with uncertainty and fear. My ex wife had made many false claims that would not only tarnish my name but also potentially affect my future. With such an emotionally stressful event, I had to find the best. Mr Mandel is that. Mr Mandel found the contradictions in my wifes allegations and promptly changed a one sided battle into one in my favor. I couldnt have been happier with the outcome. I cant recommend this office enough. Should you be so unfortunate to have to deal with a divorce, you can count on Mr Mandel to be in your corner.

I briefly spoke to an attorney here, I was basically told nothing will go in my favor and will the opposing party’s favor. Seems a little sexist and more on mans side. If your looking for someone to go against your ex female spouse definitely hire them.

Do not -- I repeat -- DO NOT work with a lawyer at the Law Firm of Steven J. Mandel. named Madelyn Jay. She is rude, condescending, and totally unprofessional. Unless you want to be insulted and treated as if you were a developmentally disabled two year old, do not work with Madelyn Jay. If you go with this firm, specifically request NOT to work with Madelyn Jay. Ms. Jay does not know how to treat people -- she needs lessons in how to be a decent human being and she needs to understand that you do not keep clients by insulting and berating them.

Steve Mandel is excellent. He helped me a NY/NJ jurisdictional issue against an expensive, frivolously litigious opposing lawyer. Steve cited specific precedent and court law and won the case hands down. The NYC court system thinks along these same lines as evidenced by the Judge responses which added around the core arguments Steve made. I highly recommend him.

I employed this firms services a few years back, and due to the lack of experience, misleading advice and intentional malice and pre-judgement towards me and the situation I was in, my life became a nightmare in court for many years. That goes for my family as well. On top of that, Steve Mandel continued to rip us off without even moving a finger. He never once showed up in court. He mislead us at the free consultation where he outright LIED about everything: from experience, to finance, to the planning of the trial. He is a clients worst nightmare. Steve Mandel is the perfect example of what is wrong with the law system in this country. Think before you have your life ruined by this firm.

Extremely bad service. Should be no star for its quality (but the minimum point here in one star). Do not hire any attorney specialized in immigration law from this firm. The so-called free initial consultation is only by phone and totally useless. You will then be charged for a pretty high rate for the first meeting. The lawyer whom I spoke to was impatient, unprofessional, and only repeated very general information that everybody knows. And she didnt even care how you felt about the case.
