I worked directly with the owner to service my Lenovo laptop that needed a new motherboard. Its worth mentioning that its very hard to find a good computer person for PCs, especially one that will replace a motherboard. He was very thorough, communicative and transparent the whole way through. A general consultation is $80, compared to about $150 elsewhere. I paid $320 for parts and labor and couldnt be happier! My stepson by some weird unknown reason cracked his 2020 Macbook air pro screen. My clumsy cat knocked a (full) glass of water over my laptop. I acted quick and turn it upside down but the laptop was damaged already. Keyboard didn’t work and the fan was very noisy. SPR computer did a great job, my computer is back to normal now :-)

I had a positive experience using SPR to replace my laptop battery. They were very conscientious of my time and convenience. It took a few minutes to diagnose the problem and order the necessary replacement part, a few days for the new battery to arrive, and then about 30 minutes to replace the battery and clean the case. It ran me $230 altogether and was as convenient as it couldve been.

This was my fifth or sixth visit to SPR in 4 years and, as always, Muktar couldnt have been more cordial or more fastidious in his work. He is a true craftsman.Also, what SPR charges for repairs is extremely fair. Hes delighted to tweak any issues that arise days later, without charge. Im over-the-top delighted to have discovered SPR.

Fast and easy and much cheaper than going to Apple Store or Best Buy (Geek Squad). Unlike other places, I was able to call and get a quote right away, which I then confirmed was much better (3X cheaper) than other places. I dropped off my iPad to get a broken screen repaired and picked it up ~2h later. Works as new, great service.

My 8 year old Mac book air wasnt holding a charge, I took it here to have the battery replaced. Owner was friendly and genuine, called to explain issue was motherboard which I agreed to have him replace. He was very communicative, called to keep me updated on issues and repair timeline. I was upset to them learn my hard drive burned out and I lost my data without a back-up... I was very frustrated and voiced this. My repair cost was then again increased since I needed a new hard drive as well. So why 5 stars? The owner was sympathetic, apologetic, and did not charge me for any of the labor, only the parts. He also then threw in a new battery at no charge. He was honest and, though I lost some data, I now have a machine that runs better than ever and lasts forever without needing to be plugged in. That said, regardless of the repair, back up your data first. Ill use SPR again in the future.

My screen cracked on my iPhone 7 and Mokhtar was able to replace it in 30 minutes for a good price! He did everything out of a small office in a nice building in midtown. Highly recommend!

This devices repair business is a real find - a person, a single person, surrounded by the instruments and tools of his trade and a multiplicity of necessary bits and bobs: not a Squad, not a Geek, no uniform - who will do the work on the spot. I broke my screen and maybe my logic board - 15 minutes of painstaking tiny screwing and unscewing later - FIXED. No overnight, no request an appointment with USER IDs and Passwords - just - here, Ill do it now! Not to mention that I came at the end of the day and Mukhtar worked past closing. (He could have easily said come tomorrow!) AND THE PRICE??? Never doubt when I tell you that it was a fraction of official Apple/Best Buy prices. And that fraction was greater than 40 percent but less than 60 percent less than corporate prices. You figure it out! Im so glad I found SPR!!!

This guy is great! He was fast and professional. I was worried my iPhone was broken beyond repair. He fixed the screen very quickly. (Saved me $400+.) I had also been having trouble with my battery, although it was still working. When he opened up the case he saw the issue and offered to fix it at a discount. Im extremely happy with the experience.He is just one guy running his own small business. You can drop-in, but its a good idea to call in advance and let him know when youre coming, for both his sake and your own.I will definitely go back to his guy in the future. iPhone batteries tend to wear out quickly, so I might even start getting them replaced whenever the charge starts to wear quickly. Given how fast and affordable this guy is its probably worth it.

New Yorks best kept secret. Took my macbook there and he expertly replaced my lcd screen, the glass, the fan and installed a new battery. He also cleaned the lap top. Cost was less than half of what Apple would have charged. This guy knows what he is doing and he is professional. Im taking my phone to him to replace the glass.

Fixed my laptop monitor very quickly and for a reasonable price. I needed a receipt and he provided it (it was a simple email, but it worked fine for my institution).The battery was not properly reconnected, but I could manage by opening the computer. Few small scratches on the outside of new monitor.Opening time reported on the internet are actually flexible... better to call before getting there... I had to go back and forth twice.

I went to this place after trying to fix my iphone 5 screen myself. Their was a miscommunication on the price he was going to charge me. But we settled it without any problem. While waiting for my phone to charge so he could double check that everything worked perfectly with my new screen. We talked about life and gave me great advice about things. It was such a pleasure talking to him. Made me feel real comfortable. I went during my lunch break and he applied the new screen real quick. He was so accommodating! Fixed my Iphone 5 screen during my lunch break (30 mins). My phone looks brand new again. Unfortunately, my screen started acting up a few months later. I would have been better off paying the higher price through Apple because I ended up having to get a new phone. But if you want a temporary fix this definitely does the job.

I took my iPhone 6+ to SPR after the Genius Bar and Geek Squad both told me it would cost about $380 to replace the bent case... Mukhtar told me he could do it for $120 if I wanted a perfectly good used case or $160 if I wanted a new case. I opted for the used case because its an older phone. Mukhtar did an excellent job - the phone looks (and performs) like its brand new. I took my wifes MacBook into Mukhtar the next week, the Genius Bar had failed to fix a recurring problem when it was under warranty and wanted over $400 to fix the problem now that it wasnt covered - a problem they couldnt fix when it was. Mukhtar fixed the problem and charged me $180. I plan on taking my old iPad into him next month. The guy is as honest as they come, a true gem. Please dont buy into a couple of haters on here, buy into the rest of us.I couldnt believe a couple people gave him 1 star - and then I noticed they were Groupon clients... please ignore these bargain-scraping, cantankerous souls... as a business man, Ive learned long ago that if you decide to put weights on your lure, dont be surprised when you catch a bottom-feeder. In other words, please save your business from the ravages of bargain-vengeance, and market your services to those who will pay for and appreciate a great product at a very fair price. HE WILL TRY TO TRICK YOU INTO BUYING THINGS YOU DON’T NEED AND REMOVE ORIGINAL PARTS ON YOUR DEVICE WHICH HE CAN LATER USE.I purchased a GroupOn to replace the broken screen on my phone for $67 at SPR Computer. I went to SPR Computer for a simple broken screen on my IPhone 7 Plus. When I entered the premises I told the owner (the only guy working there) that I had a GroupOn to replace the screen and the guy told me in an irritated manner that for the future I should just come in and that he would match the price on GroupOn, which I found sketchy.Before entering the premises my phone worked perfectly fine and the only thing that was wrong with it was the screen. The guy at SPR Computer tried to fix it, he changed the screen which was the only reason for my visit but then without my consent he also decided to change the front and back cameras and said that the cameras on the phone needed to be changed as well so he did.I told him that before entering the premises my phone was fully functional and if the cameras stopped working it was his fault. The guy persisted and tried to convince me that the phone needed new cameras trying to convince of something I did not need, which I thought was not professional at all. He insisted on the cameras but the replacements he had installed were not functional and told me that there was something wrong with my phone.He then proceed to tell my that my unit was refurbished and that there were also missing screws inside the phone. At this point I told him to put back the broken screen and the original parts and decided to use a different place. I purchased my phone directly from T-Mobile and Apple so I know that it was not refurbished. He was sort of upset when I asked him to put back the original parts but when he did the phone started working again and so did the cameras on the phone.He told me to leave and cancel the Groupon, This service provider is very unpleasant I will not recommend it to anyone.I’ve experienced changing a broken screen in the past with previous phones so I am familiar with the process. This is why I instantly knew that he was only trying to take advantage of the situation. So far this is the the worst experience I had with a phone technician.

We found SPR after search on the Internet. We try to fix a iPhone (replace broken screen) at Apple Store and we cant because your iphone is a little bent and it is impossible to fix it, we heard. Well, SPR did the job and well done. A little cheap than the Apple Store, of course, is not original Apple, but for us, is the same and works.
