We have used ABC several times over the last 5-7 years. The service representatives are friendly and knowledgeable. Our rugs were picked up and returned within the time frame we were given and the pickup and delivery crews were quick and efficient. One very pleasant surprise: they removed a stain that we had assumed was permanent!

I sent 4 carpets out for cleaning prior to a move, figuring that with ABCs years of experience, and that carpets are their main business driver, they would provide exceptional service.Well, they ruined 1 of my carpets. The other 3 were cleaned ok not fantastic, but not bad. The 4th is destroyed (though they have taken it back and are going to try to fix it). How they will accomplish this is a mystery, considered they took a vibrant (garnet), hand knotted, natural plant dyed Persian rug, and brought it back at least 2 shades lighter, as a whole, with bleeding colors on the motifs.Upon receiving the rug I called to complain and was told that per the intake form bleeding colors could happen. Um, really? Ive never experienced this in the past. I sent the carpet back over a week ago, and still havent received an intake assessment.Update on 7/29:After an attempted fix of the carpet by cleaning it again, the company tried to deliver it as if all was taken care of. I received new pictures where it was obvious that the new cleaning had only faded the carpet more and all of the colorful motifs in the center were now blending into one beige color. I refused delivery and asked for the company to 1. refund the cleaning cost, and 2. replace the carpet with one of equivalent size, value, and style. The request was forwarded to the owner over 2 weeks ago and I have yet to hear back (even though I sent an email earlier this week asking for a status update).

I just got my silk prayer carpet back this morning! Only five days and it was cleaned perfectly the pick up and drop off service was extremely reasonable and the man respected all the Covid protocols!!the rug looks great!!!I am a very happy customer

Critical: Professionalism, ResponsivenessI have been a client of ABC Carpet and Cleaning for many years. Not to be confused or associated with ABC Carpet NYC where I originally purchased my drapery from. My experience with this company ABC cleaning had up until 2 years ago been a positive one. However, this last contractual experience of 18 months ago has turned into the most disgusting, unprofessional, disrespectful, three ringed circus of a business transaction that anyone could possibly be subjected too.As mentioned, I have cleaned my rugs for many years with this company without any issues. Approximately, 18 months ago they informed me that they had expanded and incorporated into their services drapery cleaning and offered to clean my curtains. I gave them both my rugs (which I had done so many times, which I have already mentioned). Plus my silk drapes from my living/dining room.Some time had passed and I received my rugs back. I was horrified. They were returned to me in the same condition that they had been sent out and had not been cleaned at all. However, this was small in comparison to the condition of my drapes. They were returned, ripped in many places. I immediately showed them to the delivery /installers who assured me that the company will take care of it. They took the drapery order back and in a couple of months, they brought them back. It was a horror story, they had shrunk or had been shortened. their were holes that had been hand stitched and not by a professional person - it was as if a 6 year old child had seamed them and more disturbing if that is possible stains all over them. I refused to accept them and asked for them to be returned to the company.I started to complain to the company and called them several times. They refused to respond and ignored my calls or put me through to a sales representative. When finally someone did return my call, I was promised that someone would look into the matter to research and rectify what could be done to make me whole. There was of course no response after this initial conversation and no one called me back. Eventually, I was able to speak with the manager called Laura Endicott. After many conversations and of course copious amounts of run around, Laura Endicott, FINALLY offered in February 2020 for me to find a similar material and they will make new curtains for me.The original fabric which I purchased from ABC was no longer available. They sent a 3 party drapery consultant who is not affiliated to ABC cleaning . Magdalene of Magdalene Bespoke came to my home, measured and consulted with me. She produced a design which I liked very much. The lady was most accommodating. She prepared an estimate for both ABC Carpet and myself. ABC carpet never contacted me, so I eventually reached out to Magdalene myself who then informed me that her consultation fee had been paid and they had not proceeded and indeed and ceased to communicate even with her.Due to the pandemic, I decided to wait respectfully and my last conversation with Laura Endicott was in October 2020. She informed me that was very busy at this moment, but she will find out to see what is going on and she would call me back.After waiting a week for her call back, i finally reached out to Laura myself who proceeded address me in a very declasse and disrespectful manner. She told me stop to stop being disrespectful, stop bothering the company and that the company does not have any intention of replacing my drapes or indeed making any fiscal offer. She was very clear in saying that they will not do one thing for me. She then proceed to hang up the phone on me.Now I have no curtains not even the damaged ones. I did however, take copious images of the damage when they tried to install the drapery both the first and the second time.I have been insulted, dismissed, abused and lied too. In actual fact they have stolen my property. The alacrity, the lack of responsibility, the underhand manner in which this has been dealt with is positively mind numbing and disgraceful.

This was a wonderful experience in every way!From the first phone call for an estimate, to picking up the rug, and letting me know everything regarding the stains all the way through the rugs return.The guys who returned it were also wonderful, careful and laid the rug back exactly how I wanted it.I could not have asked for a better experience.I will never call anyone else!!

The entire experience from when I contacted Morgan to pick up my rug to receiving my cleaned rug was perfect. Dulio and Max are exceptionally professional, wore booties before entering my home, and ensured my rug went back in the same spot as when it was removed (partially under a heavy bed frame and dresser). Thank you for the TLC!

Pick-up and delivery were seamless. Arranged all services on the phone. Date and range of pick-up and delivery were complied with and personnel were helpful and efficient, moving some of the furniture to remove and replace the rug. And the results of the cleaning were outstanding. Highly recommend.

I bought my rugs at ABC when I moved back to NYC 26 years ago and I will never go anywhere else!Their cleaning service is professional and fast, their customer service his fantastic and they always deliver my rugs back completely new and rejuvenated! And they place them back in my apt where they belong!Thank you, ABC!

Quick review of a sketchy business:Tried to add a credit card fee on an expensive cleaning without previously disclosing. Called and they said they would only accept credit card payment. I had to negotiate / speak to a manager to send a check. Sent a check to the address provided and they magically lost it. Called to pay by credit card and have proof of invoice that says the cost post any credit card fee was $400, not pre-fee. All of the sudden say they don’t accept credit cards, send a check now.Which is it???

The guys who delivered the cleaned rug were very nice and professional. They took the time needed to place the rug under our king sized bed exactly how we wanted it. The rug looks great. Make sure you use the real ABC rug cleaning service as there is a fake one out there!

Nick picked up rug 5/17. My husband signed receipt acknowledging pickup. Receipt listed one proposed price for cleaning and one for restoration, but no total. Husband said, in presence of 3rd-party witness, that cleaning would be contingent on my approval. Nick did not correct. I phoned promptly to disapprove and request rugs return. ABC person said he would have his boss call to negotiate price. I said I didnt want to negotiate and asked for rugs return. Then, weeks of silence from ABC, despite repeated calls and emails. Finally got callback today, 6/14. ABC guy said they had already cleaned the rug and would charge us for cleaning (but not restoration, even though both proposed figures were on receipt). Firms website says its the only carpet cleaner affiliated with ABC Carpet & Home -- but firm said today that theyre wholly separate organizations.

I will ONLY use ABC Rug and Carpet Cleaning Service. I have used them for years! Terry is THE BEST ... (so is everyone else for that matter). The installers are so careful --- they act like it is there own rug, they are so careful. There are the best out there!

I have never witnessed such an unprofessional company in terms of handling of the my carpet. The service has been appalling. After sending my expensive carpet bought at ABC Carpet for cleaning and stain removal, it came back with the same stains. After resending it for a second cleaning, I never received it back, despite calling almost 20 times the customer service.....
