Bait and switchWe looked for and paid for a King bed. Upon arriving found it was queen bed. We called and were told there was nothing they could do, they refunded us a whopping $60 on our $800 bill. It was late afternoon and I was tired. If I had to do it over, I would have looked for a different place to stay where I could get a good nights sleep. Turns out the queen bed was not comfortable. It gets three stars because the exposed brick was nice. I liked having the extra space and washer and dryer. Also, the walk to Jackson square took us a good 20 minutes. I would prefer to be closer to the French Quarter as there were days I would have liked to have gone back out in the evenings but it was just to far to walk. I also felt that by 7:30, 8 when we returned there were mostly homeless and drunks on the street near our hotel, Im not sure how safe Id feel walking back to the hotel later at night.
Loved it. Not your conventional stay. Never really anyone at the desk. But its still wonderful and works. Prepay your parking for in and out options. Most things are in walking distance. My apartment was gorgeous.
The parking was a little confusing but the checking process with the security guard at the front was very smooth once we came inside of the condo it had a really bad odor, the stove and oven is dirty, kitchen items are mostly missing(like the dish washing liquid, pots and the tops to them,, there are no cooking utensils at all, mirror in the bed room is dirty, the the shower is dirty and the is a hole in the ceiling, and the washer has some weird substance where Im supposed to put my bleach and fabric softener and also theres no detergent to even wash clothes
Very cool place! We stayed in a two bedroom unit. There were a few things that were “odd” like not the best paint job (sloppy) and very nice kitchen cabinets that were not installed properly. All of that being said, it exceeded our expectations! It was in an area that felt very safe, was walking distance to many things and the staff was BEYOND friendly. I didn’t encounter one single person who didn’t go out of their way to provide us everything we needed. We had one king bed and one queen bed. The layout was awesome and we will absolutely be staying at another Stay Alfred in the future.
This is a beautiful place. I would stay here again. There is a trolley stop very close by. There are also bus stops very close. The French Quarter is a short walk. This place has an outside keypad to get into the lobby, and an additional keypad to get into your room. This is located in the business district, but its very centrally located. It was very reasonably priced as well. It has a full kitchen, and there are grocery stores within two blocks. Very historic.
SO. when I first arrive to the building I could tell its new and still renovating. I got a two bedroom, seemed clean. I took a look on the balcony and there was a hole on the floor, not safe at all. Later in the night we were laying in the master bedroom I heard a crack, snap on the bed. The bed had caved in on one side, but ive noticed that this isnt the first time this bed has been broken since I seen there was a wooden block holden up the other side of the bed. I called them immediately and didnt get a call back until 2 hours later. One of the ladies said they were sending a handy man up to my room to see if he could fix it. All he did was put slacks of wood to even the bed out... I called them back and told them what the handy man did and informed her about the hole in the balcony and the lady goes there isnt much we can do, we are fully booked but there is a pull out bed you can sleep on. So she basically told me I paid for a 2 bedroom to sleep on a pull out coach with no compensation. This is was the first day we arrived here and we were in disbelief on how the manger didnt reach out in any way neither or didnt show any kind of sympathy. Will not come back.
This is a historical building. It offers 1-3 bedroom vacation rentals, decor is contemporary industrial. We have a two bedroom apartment, loft master upstairs and a queen bedroom and bathroom downstairs. If you cant walk up and down stairs, you might not like it very much. TV in each room and living room. Sofa is a queen sofa sleeper. Full kitchen with stainless appliances, washer dryer, beautiful master bath with two showers. Restaurants, coffee shops, studios, music...it is all within walking distance. The suggested parking garage is a short walk a block away. We paid $20 day and you have in and out privileges. This place is amazing! You will not be disappointed.
DO NOT STAY HERE - they have the worst customer service and policies and will rip you off. The positive reviews are all completely fake no one with substantial review history has given them a positive. Took me almost a month to get an email/call back.
Boy, what a very pleasant surprise. Fantastic room suites, clean, fully equipped for short or longer stays, high ceilings, wooden floors and a very clean and refreshing smell. Our whole family enjoyed it very much
Great location, nice amenities, and good spot for Mardi gras week. However, throat felt itchy for some reason whenever I was inside apartment. Ended up finding mold on ceiling. Black mold.
Very clean, reasonable price, and great location. Very close to bourbon street. The issue we had was dealing with the Operation manager of factors row. She was very rude and unprofessional upon our arrival. We arrived one hour early before our check in. Before checking in I called Stay Alfred customer care and asked if we could check in early. Customer care stated we could check in early and that our room was ready. We arrive to factors row and were approached by the Operations manager who rudely said check in is at 3 pm I will charge you a $60 fee for early check in. I then explained that we were told we could check in already by Stay Alfred. She argued and said theres no early check in and demanded me to call back to see who informed me of that. I called back stay Alfred and they explained to her that they did indeed tell me to check in. She got very upset and reluctantly waived the $60 and allowed us to go up to our room. ONE HOUR early. Not as if it was hours and hours. This is not how residents should be greeted. She never apologized for the miscommunication nor her terrible attitude.
Did not care for Carriage House Realty. rude and poor upkeep for airbnb rental co.
SHADY!!! We booked a King with sofabed. It was a Queen with Sofabed. I called to ask if we can get moved to what we booked and Stay Alfred told me that Booking.com is listing it incorrectly. I looked at Stay Alfreds website and they only show King with sofabeds. This means they are booking these rooms as King rooms knowing full well they are Queen. We sat on the Queen bed and noticed it was broken. When we sat on one side, the other would go up - like a Seesaw. We called to let the admin know and they said someone would be coming to check it out. They never did. We called AGAIN in the evening and they said they would contact us about it. They Never did. As we were sleeping on it, we heard a pop and it broke completely.I called them AGAIN and they NEVER came even though I let them know there was wood and exposed nails.I contacted them THREE times and NEVER did anyone come to the room. They obviously didnt care about us.
The apartment was wonderfully quiet and well secured. Loved that there was laundry in the room. Building is in the middle of everything, cross the street and youre on Bourbon St, 20 min walk to Cafe du Monte and WWII museum. Highly recommend!
Worst hotelThey rip you offDo not go to this hotel - they are keeping all deposits although closed during virus. SCUMBAGS of the century.
This place was very secure, quiet, and clean. It is also center to literally everything so walking everywhere was no big deal. The staff were friendly and made you feel welcomed.
What a place! They could use a roll-away bed to add to the sleeping. There is plenty of space, just short a bed (and another bathroom). Otherwise, great location and we loved the balcony.
Broken blinds. Broken pull out matress couch with the worst matress you could ever sleep on. Wont even go back in.
Not a bad place. There was still construction going on. Other than that, it was good.
The stay was great. I will stay again. This is a jewel
An amazing and wonderful place to stay. Recommended!
5 star 5 star 5 star everything you need is in the apartment washer dryer dishes dishwasher utensils
Only 5 stars because I meet my wife wild working for Stay Alfred as a contractor. But the New Orleans staff is the best.
This company is unethical! Horrible customer service during such times of uncertainty. Avoid this brand!
Affordable, spacious, modern, great staff, safe and secure. Thank you Stefan!
Great locationNice setup!
Amazing staff!!! Everything was clean and beautiful :).
IT WAS THE BOMB BECAUSE IT WAS STEPS AWAY FROM BOURBON STREET SO YOU DONT HAVE TO GET A UBER YOU COULD JUST WALK A FEW BLOCKS AND GET DRUNK AND WALK BACK TO YOUR HOTEL......
