I am SOOOOOOO glad I read the reviews for this place, because Paris Parker on Prytania is FANTASTIC! First, let me just say, I initially walked through their doors, because a stylist at another salon colored my curly hair a really horrible hue (not what I asked for at all), and fried it. I left the salon with my hair looking like a cotton ball, and it had gotten worse that night. The next day, panicked, I called Paris Parker on Prytania, and the person that answered the phone was really sweet (I think it was Audrey I spoke with ). She invited me to stop by, speak with a stylist about what was going on with my hair, and to discuss a plan of action. I met a young lady named Tiffany that listened to my horrible experience, and grabbed a bag filled with samples of the Botanical line, to mitigate the circumstances of the botched job done to my hair, since I wasnt able to be seen by anyone that day. Lilly took the time to meet me, and was another great person to talk to. She reassured me she could give me the color I wanted, without compromising the integrity of my hair further. Looooong story short, Ive been there for color with Lilly (very detailed) and Jacob (laughed with him the whole time while he deposited my color beautifully), and had an avocado conditioning treatment/blowout with Courtney (very knowledgeable, and doesnt shy away from curly hair!). I LOVE MY HAIR, and get compliments on it from men, women, and children (no joke, two kids told me they loved my color at a skate park!)! Everyone Ive met at the salon is so nice, its a very welcoming environment, and I will never go anywhere else!

I had the best hydra facial here! Ive been wanting to get one for awhile now, and they made my first hydra experience so comforting and relaxing. Its crazy to see how much clearer, brighter, and plumper my skin looked after just 30 minutes. Thank you, Mala & PP!

Haircuts weren’t what I personally classified as essential, but I decided to go get one recently for the first time since covid. Very impressed with their commitment to following safety guidelines. Also, I love the haircut. I never knew what to do with my poofy wavy hair. They actually listen to you, then use their own judgement to round out the ~vision~. Also, Leslie gives great hair washes. Feels like a spa.

I got my hair done here today. Bethany was my colorist. She was 25 minutes late for my appointment to start with. I showed her photos and we discussed what I had wanted to get done. After she did my hair, I saw that it looked EXACTLY like it did when I came in. She basically did nothing. Everything looked the same. Instead of offering to fix it for free (I paid for my service today), she said I would have to pay the difference. I sent photos to friends and family and everyone could not see one ounce of color or change in my hair. The boss will be calling me to assess the situation. It’s a shame to pay $100 dollars (and also I tipped her, out of kindness) for absolutely nothing. I spent four hours here on Father’s Day to have a fresh color for a family event this evening, and I left very upset. Bethany did not seem apologetic when I was clearly upset but offered to fix it for a cost. I will be refusing to pay to get this fixed and will take this to upper management if needed. Shameful service at a great place. All my other experiences here, on Carondelet, and Magazine have been great. Beyond upset and hope they somehow can fix this situation.

Great experience at this salon woth my stylist Leslie. It was very safe, masks required, well set up for social distancing and Temps taken at the door. My haircut was great and it was an all together positive experience. They also have a number of price points for services

The staff is extremely kind and helpful. Ive NEVER had short hair. In fact, its always been pretty long. The 1st time I came here was for the purpose of cutting atleast 10 in off to donate to cancer kids. Despite the wonderful cause, I was still terrified. My hair had always been almost waist length. However, Karina (sp?) was amazing. Cant speak more highly of my experience or those working here. Fantabulous people 😎

Was a little disappointed my appointment got moved twice but finally saw Eric for color a couple of weeks ago. He is amazing! I have had multiple people stop me to ask who does my color. I’ve been happy to recommend him.

Decided to try a new stylist at a different location and I couldn’t be more satisfied!! Brandon was great. We went over the style I wanted and he made suggestions. He listened and didn’t deviate to much from what I wanted. He was talkative, funny and professional. I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome!! I’m so thankful I made the switch.

Ive been here for other peoples Hair cuts and watched the processes they go through and techniques involved, not all but a decent amount. I finally got my hair cut here about a month ago and I really liked my haircut then and even now i feel like its still working and staying interesting. I dont see anything stopping me from going back here for my next haircut. Very nice people. Very thorough questions aimed at finding out what I want out of the experience.

Been getting my hair cut by Lauren for years and wont go anywhere else to try to save a few bucks. Shes worth every nickel. She also introduced me to the Pure Abundance line for my thin, fine hair and combined with her cut, its really helped with styling my hair and giving me great volume. Love the experience every time I go to this Paris Parker location.

This is a wonderful place for everything from cuts to color to makeup and skincare. You can’t go wrong and it always smells fantastic!

I go to Paris Parker every few months to get my haircut by Chloe. The atmosphere in the salon is also upbeat. Typically, theres a ton of clients in here. The receptionists are always helpful and dont leave you waiting to check in or to check out. The salon is clean and has a great vibe. You can tell everyone whos there wants to be there. Chloe is a doll who always takes the time to work with me and give me the exact style I want. The pricing is fair and I look forward to going back every time.

First of all, let me say that I am rarely satisfied with my hair salon experiences. Apparently my hair is incredibly difficult to color/style or colorists just dont like to listen to me and I end up with botched hair.I recently moved to New Orleans in November and had been doing A LOT of research on salons to get my hair fixed. I made an appointment with Tiffany and after our consultation I knew that she was going to do a fantastic job. And she did! Im thrilled and cant wait to go back to her. Shes personable and knowledgeable and really listens to your history and what youre looking for.Plus- before she even started my hair she let me know about what it would cost without me even asking. AND it was A LOT lower than I expected (I have a ton of hair, so my color treatments always break the bank for me). SO THRILLED THAT I FOUND A COLORIST I LOVE.Seriously.Plus this salon always seems busy so you know its good. I went on a Thursday-day and it was packed.

You want color? Want a great cut? want someone to be absolutely honest about how realistic the pictures you bring are and how they will look on you, then go see Brett! Both are great and consult with each other about the right combination for the look you are going for. very very friendly, honest, and fantastic. I have been to a million colorist and I have to say, WOW. book them. NOW!

Ive been going to Quinn for haircuts since 11. I love his personality, as well as his talent. He never pushes me to buy anything beyond what I need to keep my hair looking great. The staff are always professional and Quinn is always prompt. He never fails to make me feel like Im the only client he has (and we all know how busy he is). My boyfriend is also a client now.

Paige gave me a wonderful haircut. I vaguely described what I was looking for and she executed it perfectly!Tiffanys color was unbelievably awesome! She always listens to what I want and I completely trust her to make it happen.I couldnt be happier with my hair or the friendliness of the wonderful ladies who make it look so good.

I have always loved Aveda salons and spas..But this one is not one of my favorites. I visited the salon to help a friend out to be a hair model for her. I understand that being a model means you get your hair done however they see fit etc. That is not the issue.The issue I had was with the owner perhaps or lead stylist? The man was very rude! I style my bangs a certain way and like the way it looks .. He gruffly made it a big deal and pointed out my flaws! * Im sorry but Im a guest in your salon -hair model or not you should treat me with respect!*... Then he was cursing that the stylist and surrounding guests were within listening distance.I understand this is New Orleans, and people are a bit more rough around the edges. However this is no way to treat someone who is coming into your salon model or not. And its certainly not how you treat your stylists. I wont be returning to this location.

This is my favorite location-wise of the Paris Parkers. Ive been to like 3-4 of the people here and they all did amazingly, from an $80 cut to a $40. Leslie is super great especially. Ive never left this place feeling anything less than the emoji with sunglasses on

I love going to Paris Parker for my haircuts! The online booking is quick, easy and convenient and the stylists always do a great job with my hair. I have been to both Paige and Sean for haircuts. The price is right and they know what looks good. An additional plus is that the salon is always sparkling clean and beautiful.

I have been going to Paris Parker for almost 20 years. And Courtney (cut), Chrissie (color) and Jackie (brows, lashes and skin) are some of the best in the world. But today, can I just take a moment to give a HUGE shout out to Delecia. On her own initiative, she reviewed my appointments and texted me the day before to let me know I could come in 30 minutes later to reduce my wait time between appointments. She makes sure she has my products ready for me to make check out faster. And when I want to prebook all my complicated appointments for the next year - she tells me - you go, and I will take care of this and send them to you. She is amazing. 5 star customer service all the way!

I love the Paris Parker salon! They have wonderful hairdressers and staff, environmentally friendly business practices, fair prices, easy on-line scheduling (in addition to over the phone), and wonderful products. Andrea at the Prytania location is amazing! She does a wonderful job and she is so friendly! You really do get a luxury experience for a reasonable price. Ive also never smelled one of their products I didnt just absolutely love! They have so many hair care product options in various sizes so you can try before committing to a larger bottle (the Aveda rewards program is also 100% worth it). There is more than just hair products, too. Their line of aroma products is equally fantastic! I highly recommend Paris Parker Aveda for a great cut, awesome service, and some amazing products!

I have always gone to Aveda salons in California, so when I moved to New Orleans I looked for one online and found this one. This site only has separate colorists and stylists, so when I sat down to do the color and told the colorist what I wanted, she said she wasnt sure how to do the highlights so she would need to speak with the stylist first. We did, and she had a plan to make my blonde hair warmer for the fall. After putting the color in, it turned out gray, and she said it looked cool, but I asked her if we could do warm instead so she went back to tone again and it warmed up a bit. She and the stylist exchanged words while I was letting the tone set and they apparently werent syncing up with their times and trying to decide what to do with me. After this, she said that I finished early so I would have to wait a while for my haircut. I asked how long it would be and she said she wasnt sure, there might be a scheduling mishap, and that the stylist wasnt giving her much so she didnt know what to tell me except to sit down and just wait for the hairstylist. I waited for 20 minutes and then saw the hairstylist take a brand new client back, so I decided to leave. It was all very impersonal and not at all what Ive experienced at other Aveda salons. Im not a fan at all of having a separate colorist and stylist, and today made me feel like I was imposing on their time.

They are absolutely wonderful, and might I recommend the stylist Shawn, he was great!

I had an appointment today at 1:00pm, had to cancel work for this appointment, received two msgs to confirm, and then just 30min before the appointment I received a call from Paris Parker saying they need to reschedule!! I was on my way there, I took a day off for this, so I asked to be rescheduled for another time today, but since I was coming for a service offered from one of the stylists for a discounted price, they refused to schedule me with another stylist. Very unprofessional!

I have been using Paris Parker since I moved to New Orleans six years ago, and I always have great experiences there. I love the range of prices for stylists, so I can use someone less expensive for a simple trim, or splurge on a more experienced stylists for a complicated haircut. I cut my shoulder-length hair to a longish pixie about three months ago (thanks to Felicia at the Lakeside location) and am in the process of growing it out, so I needed someone who could give it shape without taking off too much length. Courtney at Prytania did a wonderful job, and she truly listened to me at every step of the process. I always tell stylists that I dont use product on my hair, and invariably I end up walking out with some poofy hairdo loaded with volumizers and smoothers and whatever else theyre trying to sell me. Courtney, however, simply agreed with me and said, Why would you put product in your hair when it already lays so beautifully? Listened to me AND complimented me? Yes please! She was friendly, attentive, gave the best scalp/shoulder massage, and a kickass haircut to boot. Wonderful job--thanks again, Courtney!

Long story short:My strong and healthy hair was destroyed and became rubbery and brittle after 12 hours at their salon of bleaching and tugging over the course of two days... All I wanted was my highlights toned down (I had light brown hair with natural blonde highlights) and some of the bottom half of my hair colored a soft violet, as advertised on the website. I came out with witchy black and jungle green instead. I returned to have it fixed a day later; only this turned out even worse - more bleach and a blotchy mess of blonde and washed-out sea green!Totally UNPROFESSIONAL. Inexperienced colorists, rude personnel, a terrible experience.
