Recently moved here from NYC and decided to give it a try after walking past one day. Dani Marie at the downtown location is awesome. I have now gone 2x and each time has been one of the best haircuts I have ever gotten. She takes time to make sure it looks good and you are happy with what she did. Dani is friendly and entertaining as well. Highly recommend this place.

Dani Marie at the downtown location gave me the best haircut I have ever gotten in my life. We had scheduled a 35 minute appointment and she spent almost an hour with me to ensure the cut looked good. Highly recommend.

Fantastic haircut from Dani. Online booking is easy with quick confirmation from the shop. Friendly staff and expert cuts. This was a great find for us on a visit to NOLA. We’ve tried to book again but travel hiccups have hindered our ability to make an appt. The staff has been super accommodating to our changes and we hope to see them again soon. Definitely recommend if you are considering.

I have had my hair cut a few times by Dani at the Uptown location. Hair always looks great, super friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend if youre looking for a nice haircut!

We went to take my son and husband for a razor shave, but they were booked up. Sadly they weren’t able to get their shaves. Make an appt a few days ahead. The staff was nice.

I was w ecstatic to get a returned phone call asking me if I wanted a haircut on a Sunday. My plane was leaving for Phoenix in a few hours and the timing could not have been more perfect. I will admit it was a costly haircut ($60-$75) but she made me look pretty so I was happy. I had an opportunity to get a more reasonable priced haircut but options in the heart of New Orleans are difficult to find. At the very least youll look good.

Great place, great people. Definitely will my place to go to if I lived here. But I will come again if in the area.

Getting a haircut in the time of Rona is weird, but they made it not too weird and gave me a fresh cut. Highly recommend.

I was looking for a last minute cleanup while on vacation and Tami Lee was great. I emailed beforehand to let them know the cut I was looking for and I was emailed back promptly confirming my appointment. Tami greeted me when I walked in and offered some beverage options and then asked some clarifying questions about my cut. Toward the end she checked to make sure the fade was high enough (always appreciated with a new barber!) before finishing up. All in all a great cut and a great barber, would recommend!

Excellent location, staff and service. I got married around the corner from here and so treated my Groomsmen to a morning shave on the day of the wedding. We were all looking really sharp before the big day! Additionally, the smaller details which helped keep us all entertained were awesome and Id definitely recommend any groom to look into this place if they want to do something similar on their wedding day. Good job Rooster Club you have a very satisfied customer here!

I was in the area for a conference and was in desperate need for a little tune up. Decided to give it a try, and I was not disappointed. Tami did a fantastic job, and I really couldnt ask for better. She, as well as the receptionist were exceptionally amiable and made me feel very welcome for my first time here. Would definitely come back if I didnt live many states away! Thanks again!

Same exact story as Keith Hill - hair cut and a beard trim that set me back $75. Both the haircut and the beard trim are uneven and uninspired. I have stray hairs everywhere including the hair line over the ear and my mustache - the most basic of requirements for a haircut or beard trim. The barber did not do a straight razor neck line shave or beard lining - only a hasty neck clean up with an electric foil razor that left as many hairs uncut as it removed. It took about 20 minutes for everything. I could have accomplished a better result in 20 minutes in my bathroom, which is what I’m going to have to do now to fix this butchering.The staff were friendly, hence the 2 stars. Incredibly overpriced service though, and basically the worst hair cut I’ve gotten in years. You’re better off going to Great Clips or doing it yourself. I’m legitimately appalled by the amount of money I paid. I cannot recommend, and I will never go back.

Stopped it for a shave and a haircut while in town for a wedding. I’m always apprehensive of cheating on my barber. But Johnny Angel is amazing. My haircut was perfect and it was hands down the best shave I have ever had in my life. Will definitely stop in next time I’m in town.

Tami Lee did an amazing job especially on short notice for a walk in I don’t have one bad thing to say about this place. I’m from out of town and when I ever I come back to Nola I’ll definitely be coming back.

Got an awesome haircut from Tami. She paid close attention to the ends making sure everything was even. She also totally got right away people who wear glasses dont really know what the haircut looks like midway through and would take out a hand mirror to show me up close what it was looking like throughout. Itll be my go to place for haircuts from now on!

Great place to get a haircut/shampoo. Tucked away opposite of the Wyndham Hotel. I would highly recommend this place for affordable haircut for men.

Tami lee hooked me up with an amazing fade this morning. She was great to talk to and really took great pride in the hair cut. I would definitely return.

Just arrived in NOLA, got a fine new hat, and was referred to Roosters to get my beard and hair trimmed. Was treated like a gentleman by the fine and dandy Andrew, and left feeling like a million bucks. Great experience, great cut, great place.

Man, this was an experience... I don’t know how else to put it. I got a haircut and a shave and the whole thing was just awesome.

Very nice staff. Horrible haircut. Went back to my hotel to shower and the fade is not blended one bit. My buddy fixed a haircut that I paid 40 dollars for. I wish I didnt tip. The staff though is remarkable and super nice. I cant fault them on customer service but maybe they shouldnt be cutting hair.

Barber stayed until closing, which was considerate, but the haircut was not what I asked for and even with a military discount was 32 dollars for a really mediocre fade

Greetings, my name is Marlyn Guillen. I have psuedo tumor cerebri since 2009. I have been coming to Roosters Barber since July 24, 2019. I wish I would have started coming a lot sooner. I am delighted to come to this barber shop. The barbers are excellent. I feel as though my hair is healing. I am cleaner.

Two stars because everyone was super nice. I was in from out of town and popped in and got a haircut. I’ve been traveling for 3 months for work, so sometimes barbers are just the luck of the draw. Johnny was my barber on my visit. Nice enough guy, but I got back to the hotel and showered/washed my hair... easily the worst haircut I’ve had in 20 years. I asked for a skin fade and a beard trim. Hair was short at the bottom but far from skin, which I noticed before I left but didn’t mention because I was afraid to take it further. Fade was terrible and hardly blended at all. A bunch or hairs were missed completely. I basically have a slightly noticeable bowl cut. Trimmed my beard unevenly and shaved under my chin with a foil razor... didn’t even shave my neckline in the back... then hit me with a $75 bill. For $75, I expect a certain level of craftsmanship and service. Great haircuts and shaves are something I definitely don’t mind paying for. When in Vegas or DC, my barber shop trips cost me well over $100. Just hoping no one else gets the same level of service for the inflated price tag.

I felt comfortable walking into this little CBD barber shop. Andrew was friendly and more importantly very skilled. I would recommend him to anyone without hesitation.

Johnny was the barber I dealt with. This is the first time I’ve ever taken the time to write a review. THIS WAS THE WORST SHAVE, CUT AND BEARD TRIM I HAVE EVER RECEIVED!!!!! I travel a lot for work and I have experienced not so good barbers. This guy has no clue what he is doing. If I could give him ZERO STARS I would. The only reason I’m writing this review is to hopefully let the next person in town that thinks they are getting a good barber, doesn’t get this clown!! I thought it was weird I was the only one that came through the door in 1hr 30 min I was there. Not a single person walked through the door. DO NOT COME TO THE ROOSTERS CLUB!!!!! Stay away!!! Stay away!!! Stay away!!!!!!

Johnny was my angel today with my first haircut in New Orleans. Johnny & Mary are warm and friendly sharing a clean cut and a Royal coffee topped with Crown. Highly recommended!

Didn’t get the cut I asked for. The stylist rushed through because she “didn’t want to be there too late”. Would not recommend.

Friendly staff. Haircut was not great. I left and got back to my hotel only to discover my face was not even, and that I had patches of hair that were not shaved on top of my head. Wouldnt recommend coming here. Priced high for what I got

A 40 dollar men’s haircut, where they don’t shave the back of your neck with a straight edge razor, nor offer to trim eyebrows and are done in less than 10 minutes should be avoided.

Overpriced haircut on my BF, and it didnt look terrible, so so, but the guy (Johnnie) had an attitude because we were five minutes late. Too pricey and bad attitude. Not worth it. Dont recommend.
