The employees have been nice and helpful. In April or May 2021, I went to my unit and struggled for 15 minutes to turn the lock I bought from Public Storage with my key to unlock my unit. I called the front desk to ask for the employee to help me, and a young woman came up and sprayed lubricant on the lock to loosen it for the key to turn it. She then tried to turn the lock with my key to unlock it and was unsuccessful. She replaced my lock by giving me a new one for free since the lock I bought wouldnt turn. She was nice and helpful. I have a few complaints about Public Storage. The company keeps raising the cost of rent about every 6 months. Public Storage can due this according to the fine print of the contract; however, I think this is an unfair way for the company to make more money. I rented a non-temperature controlled unit, and a few of my belongings now have mold growing on them. I pay insurance--so I guess Ill file an insurance claim for my damaged belongings and will hopefully receive compensation. Each building with storage units has two floors. There is only one elevator in each building to use for hauling belongings up to the second floor. There should be an elevator at each end of each building for convenience. If you need to use an elevator while another person is using it, you may have to wait a while to use it if that person has a lot of belongings to load onto the elevator and then unload. My unit is at the far end of the building--far away from the elevator. The walk is long. It would be nicer if a second elevator was located on my end of the building. There are cheaper storage unit companies in New Orleans. Id rather use another storage unit company than Public Storage next time. In addition to charging a lot for the units, Public Storage keeps raising the rent. The units arent easily accessible. Ill use a newer and cheaper storage unit company next time.

HORRIBLE.......I RESERVED A UNIT ONLINE, ON BE MY MOVE-IN DATE I WENT INTO THE OFFICE TO DO THE PAPERWORK, ONLY TO BE TOLD THE UNIT I RESERVED IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. THE RECEPTIONIST SAID RESERVING A UNIT ONLINE DOESNT GUARANTEE ITLL BE AVAILABLE IF SOMEONE ELSE COMES IN AND WANTS THE ONE YOU RESERVE ..............WOW 🥺 IM STILL IN DISBELIEF ! O I NEEDED THE UNIT TO STORE MY THINGS I COULD SALVAGE FROM HURRICANE IDAS DAMAGES TO MY HOME !!!! # BUMMER

The unit was clean and the young lady who checked me in was professional and responsible they are lucky to have her work there. Great location also affordable.

Went to inquire about a unit and was greeted by Ashley, she definitely gave A1 customer service. I would highly recommend this location if your looking into a storage unit.My mother had a issue with her unit/ rental payment and the district manager Daniel Regan he corrected her issues he provided above and beyond service. The customer service representative in the store was polite, and made sure the she that she was able to speak to the district manager, her service was above and beyond as well.

I am so lucky to find Public Storage facility. They are SO helpful and nice to work with...moving is never easy. The facility is secure and very easy to get in and out of during busy moves.

The employee was fantastic!! Prices look nice online. When you reserve a unit they give you a total balance to be paid on the move in date. However on move in day I was informed that I must also buy insurance from them. So now I must pay almost DOUBLE every month...not happy!

The representative Asriel is a very nice person and I give him 5 stars. However, the storage facility lacks equipments to help moving in and out. There is only one elevator and it is ridiculously steep for one person to push even if it’s lightly loaded.

Weve have storage space with them for almost 4 years. They are very helpful, courteous and we havent had any problems with our storage space. When our credit card info change they gave us a courtesy call to update our info so that our account wouldnt become delinquent.

No ventilation. I was told to purchase two one gallon damp rid containers to account for all the moisture in the air and the possibility of items getting moldy. I did this and there were still items that got moldy. Even snake skin shoes, wooden coffee table. Materials that mold doesnt easily form on. I inquired to the regional manager about a solution and got no response. This place is right by the river, there is a lot of moisture and no way for it to dissipate. It is like a sweating tomb.Also they raised the rent $20 without notification. And keep in mind insurance is required but unless you have receipts for the items it will do no good. I wouldnt recommend it depending on what you are storing or go with the climate controlled unit.

Stay away from this Public Storage. I have a climate controlled unit, which is behind the keypad gate and a cypher locked door, as well as my own lock. Employees claimed the hasp was damaged on mine and about 4 other units, and they drilled off the locks and replaced with locks of their own. THEY DID NOT INFORM ME THEY DID THIS UNTIL 3 MONTHS LATER. During that time, since I was told that the unit was secure the whole time as I was working out-of-town, my unit was completely trashed; items stolen, boxes unpacked and repacked to make it look like nothing was wrong. A common thief would not be so careful. The employee(s) obviously revisited the storage room and took their time to slowly go over my belongings. So tragic that Public Storage would allow such illegal activities. My 250 sq. ft. room, which holds the belongings of a 2-bedroom house, must be totally unpacked, and repacked to assess the damage and stolen items for insurance purposes. Shame on you, Public Storage!

Just moved into a new house a couple months ago, but while it was under renovation, I was living in a part time apartment -- very tiny -- and we held a lot of our stuff at the public storage unit here.Not much to say, its a storage unit (LOL) but it kept our stuff safe, so, no problems here.

This company is a big scam - at least this location in New Orleans. They engage in fraud. Here is what happened:1) I rented a unit from them for a month; vacated the unit after that one month, paid them in full, and asked them for a receipt or something to show that I have no balance and that I vacated. It is company policy not to print such receipts. Instead, the manager there wrote me a hand-written note that said I vacated, closed the contract and have a zero balance. I have been getting harassing calls and emails from their corporate offices, asking me to pay more, because, according to what they have in the system, Im still occupying the place. Every time I talk to the workers at the location, however, they tell me that my account is closed but that they are incapable of printing me any paperwork showing that. I will have to take them to court and file a complaint with the Bureau of Consumer Protection.2) When I moved in, it took 3 hours to do the paperwork. The woman there (white woman in her 40s) looked like she was on crack or some other illicit drugs. I paid my movers a good dollar, of course, for all these three idle hours, to wait for Public Storage to complete a simple contract.3) Their units have termites, termites that literally ate part of my beautiful, expensive armoire during this one month.4) Their advertised $1 for the first month cost me about $250 in all kinds of hidden fees. That does not include the monthly payments of $261 that they want from me, probably for the rest of my life, because they cannot seem to be able to close the contract.Word of advice: once they get your debit card information, you are locked in for life with these Mafia people. They are like a cancerous tumor - I simply cannot get rid of their harassing calls and emails and I simply cannot close the contract (even though the local manager tells me it is closed). Next step is involving my attorney, and taking them down for punitive action too.

Like how easy the access is from Tchoupitoulas Street. And I love that their hours are like from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. the price is a little expensive for rent but I still like the place everyones been so friendly and helpful.

I had a reservation set up at this property to store my water slide,but the unit was a like a locker & my water slide was not goin fit! Krystle walked me around the property & showed me 3 different units hoping to match me with the right one in my prince range! She was very nice & friendly,she even joked with me about picking that small unit knowing my slide wouldnt fit. She provided me with amazing customer service,she has a wonderful welcoming smile & shes very pretty! I sat in the office maybe 25min while she went up and beyond looking at other public storage properties looking for units for me,I really appreciate how she did it with a smile & she was very courteous about it.thank you krystle for the amazing customer service even though I didnt rent with you guys

I dont know where to even start with this review!!!! I have so much to say about this property. They first thing I would like to say is that I really like storing by belongings here, it is always clean !!! Secondly the staff here is very friendly and cares about what the customers needs are. Thirdly I half to share a story with the corp office and the bosses of the property manager at this location. Iam a veteran and one day I did not have any money to eat with and I had was talking to Sherri the property manager.She said look I dont have money to give but I brought my lunch today and you can have it, I said what about you, she said dont worry about me I will eat when I get home. I thought that that was the most kindness and unselfish thing to do. I want the people at public storage to know what kind of person kind of person they have working for them. Sherri is a wonderful person inside and out.yYou are truly blessed to have someone liked her working for this co. Sincerely, Freddie
