I was back and forth with the company since early july, since they can’t keep any staff. I was told I would be able to move in on a specific date, which was then back tracked on, and when being faced with homelessness because of their mistake, I was told their leasing offices would be open after the weekend, when I would be homeless for three days at that point. I was also told that entire conversations with my leasing agent were made up entirely; aka metrowide employees have no problem gaslighting possible residents. The employees for the Washington Avenue apartments were incredibly rude to me, making me cry over the phone. I was told I could come in today to pay my application fee, that they would be open until 4pm. When I arrived at 3:20pm everyone had left for the day and would not return any calls. Just to make something clear, I drove over 1000 miles from out of state to move to Louisiana for college, of which my classes are already paid for. My leasing agent wouldn’t let me pay my application fee, maybe because she felt bad about the garbage, dangerous area of the city it was in. I was then yelled at by the company for not paying the application fee that I was told not to pay? I would never wish my experience with this company on my worst enemy, so I would not recommend them to anyone. Getting in a car accident and dying would be more preferable to dealing with metrowide again. All they care about is the money, and not the lives of people they might ruin. :-) if I could give 0 stars I would.
MetroWide is a complete joke. Always send you eviction letters when you paid the rent on time. The management team cant handle anything and will never come to make any repair. They still want to evict people and charge late fees during a pandemic. STAY AWAY AT ALL COST!
Evil, predatory people. After putting tenants through hell, they make it difficult for them to break their lease. If you are a tenant of theirs, I am so so sorry. You are Metrowide’s prey. And the folks at the Tulane office are either liars, or mostly uninformed of their own policies. If I had to pick one, I’d bet they’re liars.
I went to rent an apartment no living room. I had to look in the bathroom like where is it. If I wasnt trapping it wasnt the place for me. He told me to follow him.. He took a left I went right! Never in my life would I live like that. But sadly some people have no choice but to settle. They are truly coming for our city!! Cause if u want to live comfortable you will dip.
Dont rent anything on Washington Ave from these guys. Was robbed my first night in the apartment. The second night, some crackheads stole a towel I left on the porch for five seconds. A freaking towel. Third night, they broke into my car. Toilet doesnt work. Have to go to McDonalds nearby to use restroom. This is literally the worst, trashiest place imaginable. Unless youre trying to deal drugs, do yourself a favor and spend the extra $100-150 a month to live somewhere where youll be safe.
These people are slumlords...do yourself a favor and do not rent from Metrowide. Washington Place Apartments is filled with drug activity and prostitution. The laundry room has three washers and three dryers...at least one of each do not work and the other two have coin slots that take your quarters and then jam (on top of being so filthy-looking that you really dont even want to use them).Last summer, the neighbors three doors down had an altercation in which the girlfriend stabbed the boyfriend to death (feel free to Google this story). When I got home that night, the entire complex was taped off as a murder scene and tenants had to be escorted to their apartments. The parking lot is perpetually covered with trash. The water pressure is low and your water is frequently off due to problems with the pipelines (if you drive by 2316 Washington Avenue you will see the ongoing work by New Orleans Sewerage & Water Board which has been at least a year).Management is very unprofessional and slow to respond. A rental payment I mailed to them in February was lost but they did not inform me that they hadnt received it until a month later. They filed for eviction but when I showed up to court and provided documentation showing that payment was made and that I did an money order inquiry, the judge granted me a stay of eviction and management subsequently rescinded the eviction. However, the next month they billed me for $500 in fees related to an eviction that was rescinded.I could go on and on with this horror story but I think my point has been made.
If I could give a 0 star, I would. I am writing this review on behave of a construction company. This company has yet to pay their outstanding invoices. We did some make-ready work for them and here we are almost a year later and received no payment. When I call the accounting staff, they simply hang up. Just a heads up for any contractor.. DO NOT DO WORK FOR THESE PEOPLE!!!
They had me put down a $300 holding fee and a $300 security deposit than never called me and I never got an apartment. Basically they stole my money. I have called several times over the past 3 months they say someone will call me back no one ever does. They are con artist thief’s.
A friend of mine and myself met with one of their agents to view apartments and possibly rent one. The apartment was ok. The issue is that the agent lied. He pressured my friend into giving a deposit to hold a apartment pending application process. The app fee was $50 and my friend also gave $150 towards holding the apartment. The agent said the $150 was refundable. Not true. So be aware.
Stay away!!! They post new photos on every app but the truth is horrendous. These are filthy hovels not apartments. You wouldnt wish this over your worst enemy. I opened the freezer and eight different kinds of bugs came crawling out. Mismatched cabinets, filthy bathrooms (worse than the horrible public ones you come across), broken blinds and gates. Dont ever give them any money..they believe in taking every penny from you and plan on honoring nothing. The slums.
Worst apartment experience Ive ever had. They never fixed anything. The overhead lights in my bedroom hadnt worked from day one and no one had lived in the unit before me. When maintenance would come in they would never let me know beforehand that they were coming or leave a notice that had been there. They would go in, accomplish nothing and leave a huge mess behind. Management is even worse. Got multiple eviction notices even though I had mailed the rent check in. When I called to inquire their response was Sorry we just now checked the mailbox. When I went into the office to give my months notice that I was moving they verbally accepted it. Didnt ask me to sign anything or fill anything out. When I came to drop the keys off a month later they tried to charge me for not having proper paperwork filled out, even though they never gave it to me in the first place!!!! There is a reason the lofts in Midcity have practically no tenants. Its overpriced and maintenance and management are horrible. Dont fall for those fake 5 star reviews.
These positive reviews have to be from friends of Josh Bruno or his associates. I worked for him for 2 months and saw his ethics up close. These apartments are disgusting and filled with low income tenants that destroy the place. Having to kick someone out of their apartment on Christmas day was the last straw. You WILL NOT receive your deposit back regardless of the condition left in, you WILL NOT receive prompt service regarding maintenance, and unless you are section 8 and do not work...you WILL NOT enjoy living in these apartments.
Ive rented/moved through 5 different states over the past 10 years. I lived in Metrowides most upscale apartments. Paid $1400 a month for a one bedroom apartment. This is the worst experience Ive ever had with any company, regarding anything. They fired their staff at least 5 or 6 times over the year. I moved out 2 months before my lease was up because I couldnt handle it any longer. Had to threaten to sue to get into the apartment on the promised date. Contruction was never finished. They made countless promises they didnt follow through with. Had mold issues that were fixed at the minimum of 10 times after the owner of the company told me over & over this place cant have mold. By far the worst owner & individual I have ever met in my life. Hes pathetic. I would have rather taking the $15,000 I spent over that year with them & burned it to the ground. The employees there literally apologized that their job sucked so much & that Josh Bruno was such a horrid human being. Whatever you do. Do not work with this guy. Please. Save yourself. I was warned. There is no price worth working with this company. I wouldnt for free. Not if they paid me to stay.
Exactly! If more people would post here the same problems would be expressed. The place is nice looking when they show it to you but they have in the lease you move in as is and they will tell you the mildew forming is dirt. You have got to be crazy to stay here The rent is TOO HIGH to deal with their crap. There is FEE, AFTER FEE, AFTER FEE! They came here from Miami and do not care about their tenants. Please dont waste your precious time. This is NOT money well spent. This company has a bad stigma. Ask anyone You know!
Their apartments on Washington Ave are unsafe. Unless you have a gun and can constantly keep an eye on your stuff, these crackheads will steal everything you own, period. Ive been here three days, been robbed twice.
Absolutely trash. Do not rent from these people.
If it’s a negative review...BELIEVE IT.Former employee, left voluntarily for too many reasons to list. He can go ahead and file a law suit for me speaking out against him, maybe I’ll get my last check he didn’t pay me.
Slum lords threatening to go forward with evictions during a global health crisis.
The worst renting experience Ive ever had. When anything breaks no one will fix it, the rent is far too high, bug problems, and no support when you call needing any helping.
Ive read alot of horrible reviews. while I do find it a little pricey my apartment is not bad. I stay in one of the kenner properties and its honestly not bad. Pretty quiet, not alot of movement in my complex. there are a couple things that could be improved but they are small. over alp in the three months Ive been here I havent had any issues thus far thank God.
Worst apartment I’ve ever lived in. So unprofessional and ghetto, save yourself the trouble and just move somewhere else.
We rented a 1 bedroom apartment for $1400/month, so it was not cheap. We rented it for the location, which is very convenient. Our biggest complaint was that the walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbors, their dog barking, their music and tv, their arguing.. We were downstairs and the footsteps upstairs were equally annoying. We specifically asked the renting agent if you could hear footsteps upstairs and his exact quote was they could have a dance party up there and you would not know. Wrong. Our apartment took on a significant amount of water during every heavy rain. I reported it every time, but they never even came to look at it. Water ran through from the front door, through the living room, kitchen, and to the back door. A sloshing amount of water. They have speakers above the doors playing sirus xm radio. It is meant for the parking lot I guess, but you can hear it in your apartment unless you have the tv on. So unless you enjoy napping or reading to Lady GaGa, this place might not be for you. I could go on but you get the idea.
They were absolute slumlords.Properties are not maintained, shoddily built (many with black mold in the unit where I lived) staff is rude and management is deceitful. I highly suspect that positive reviews come from the company itself.
Do you know who is the biggest bilingual alchoholic baffon in New Orleans Property management, it Paul Ball-faced two faced Liar Cruz, he lies equally well in Spanish and English. Also, the so called CEO, in the one year I rented from Metrowide over priced pieces of excrement slum Lord apartments, even those apartments in Mid City, The pretentious and Stupidly name I -lofts Apartments as in I Phone, stupid, huh? But that is Bruno, the brown nosing bafoon, the owner and chief f- cking Idiot, within the year I had the misfortune to rent from those Metrowide morons, Brown nosing Bafoon Bruno, hired and fired at least 7 property Managers, what an Italian dips-it idiot he is. He employs bilingual liars like Paul Cruz too, that makes him unethical and stupid.
It is AWFUL I stay in Cypress Park Ran By them And Its REDICULOUS has Mold, Water Coming Underneath the Cracks in the Floor, Tub Is GROSS needs Refurnishing 😣👿 EVETYTHING is Messed Up Only Been here for 3-4 months & Killed like 3-4 Mice Im ready to BREAK the lease NOW but I cant !!!
They also run oakmont apartments. The worst trashy place ever. Management was fired and rehired many many times in only 6 months. To get 150 back from my deposit of 400 is hell.
Slum Lords.
