Several weeks ago, my truck broke down and I thought my transmission die on me. So I had my vehicle towed back home because all the repair shop were closed during the weekend. So I called around to get a estimate on a transmission repair. As everyone knows transmissions are very costly. So I finally contact Cottman transmission and total care.The manager Mark and the team (Greg)there were outstanding. Mark was up front, patience and honest with me. I didn’t feel that he was trying to get over on me with the price of the repairs.I did check the reviews on -line and everyone statements were true. I would definitely recommend this repair shop and the crazy part about this situation, it wasn’t my transmission that was broken, it was another issue that cost less what I was actually going to pay. My vehicle is running great and my daughter is happy to have her car back. Lol

2016 Chevy Silverado 1500 96kOver the summer I started had rubbing grinding noise at take off. It would come and go then lately started not shifting correctly. On Monday morning before Christmas I called Cottman and spoke to Mark he said bring it in and they can take a look. He took it for a quick test drive, came back and confirmed everything I heard and felt. I was able to get my truck back with a new torque converter and they rebuilt my transmission in three days.. My experience with Cottman has always been a great one; however, on Saturday morning 10/26/19 was my latest service with them. I explained to the service tech my brakes have begun making a grinding sound. Was informed I needed back rotters and brakes. Had both replaced, less than the same hour my brakes began grinding again and the shop had closed. This truly defeated the entire purpose of my visit. Now I am left with no other choice but to be late for work on Monday morning to a job I have never been late to and has perfect attendance. Needless to say I not a happy camper right now. I am back to square one with my original visit to them. Praying my brakes issues will be resolved first thing Monday morning. Will follow up on this issue with the outcome.

Mark is great! The rebuilt my transfer case and other work for my Benz SUV... the quality of their service is excellent. I had my vehicle back in 3 days (including time for ordering new parts). I highly recommend this shop.

First it took them three weeks to do a transmission and clutch I called them to ask them what was taking so long and he tells me they messed up the clutch somehow and they ordered a new one if I didn’t call they wasn’t going to let me know nothing months later I have to take the tire off my car and I need the lug nug key that this shop lose and Mark tells me it’s my fault they lose the key.... worst shop I’ve ever been avoid.

I highly recommend this shop. Friendly, no nonsense service with quick turnaround time. They diagnosed the problem with my transmission along with another issue I was having with an oil leak and corrected both problems at a reasonable price.

We were stranded on Hwy 95 with a vehicle that had died on us. We were able to locate Cottman Transmission & Total Auto Care, who arranged for a tow truck to pick up our vehicle and brought it into the shop. They got us into their schedule (even though they were already busy), and got a new alternator installed. They got the vehicle started, got it charging, and tested it before letting us get back on the road. Very helpful people, and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing automotive services. When my car died on the Delaware Memorial Bridge mistakes were made and I took my car to Nissan who had horrible customer service and price gouging me on a new transmission. In comes Cottman Transmission. They moved my car from the Nissan dealer, fixed it promptly, and for a fair price. Mark was also very nice and answered all my questions when I was calling from Virginia. If I ever break down again in Delaware I would definitely take my car back here.

These guys are rude and they fixed my transmission so they said, but here is the problem. My husband also had his transmission done, 2 years ago by a local shop nothing fancy and he has not had one problem and his was used. I paid for a rebuilt only to find out they dont do new, so why tell me that on my receipt it says rebuild. guess what the 12 month warranty is up, I never drove my truck until recently other then to a store which was a 2 minute drive around the corner. And low and behold my transmission is gone, now how does that happen. And they want me to bring it back to them, just to be charged another 3000 dollars just to screw it up a 2nd time. I dont think so I wouldnt recommend them to my worst enemy. Now I have to go to the small shop my husband went to to have it done right. thanks I hope karma hits this place hard not happy.
