John and his team did a great job through the process of getting my car back on the road. They were friendly, communicated well, and were helpful through the whole process. The staff take pride in their work and it shows.

I was told by valvoline that I had an oil leak. So I had it checked out and they couldnt find it. Did not charge me anything. Was very honest

Good auto body work and service

After a collision I took my vehicle to Da Silva Auto. While the work took several weeks (body,Paint, suspension work with need to order OEM parts) John was in communication the entire time providing updates. Communication was top notch. Work done was immaculate, no evidence of the collision anywhere, paint was done well.Cut to 6mos later, and the dealership noticed a sway bar linkage installed backwards. This didnt effect vehicle performance, but was causing rubbing on a rubber protective boot (german cars are weird). I called John, and immediately he told me to come in next day. I did, and the issue was corrected lightning quick and keys back in hand next morning.Would not hesitate to bring my or my familys vehicles to Da Silva in the future.

Wow! DaSilva completely restored my 1990 Mazda Miata and it looks like brand new. This 30 year old antique really needed TLC, and John and his crew were the ones to supply it. John documented every step of the process and it was amazing how detail oriented they are, caring for every part of the car, replacing and even hand fabricating parts that were too rusted or worn, and impossible to find again.Driving home I felt just as good as the day I drove it off the Dealers lot. This is an original Miata...one of the first to land in the USA, and now its turning heads and making other drivers jealous again. It looks great.

This was my first time going to DaSilvas and the people was great. They treated me like family I explained to John my issues with the car and how was screwed by other places and they were able to fix the issues with my car. I highly recommended going to DaSilvas. Super easy to work with and they coordinated everything with the insurance company and the rental car company to make sure I wasnt without my car for a few days. They even had my repair done a full day earlier than scheduled. Certainly the right company to use for any auto body work!

I would absolutely not recommend DaSilva’s to anyone. My car was getting new tires at a local shop when someone hit it in the parking lot. Sent it here to get fixed and it took them a total of 2 1/2 weeks. It was supposedly fixed and when I went to pick it up and it had disgusting, dusty parts that did not match the color of my car. I left it there for them to fix and then they told me they found something else wrong. They did not go into detail and insisted that it would be another 3 days until I could pick it up. Long story short, my car came out of their shop with scratches and a broken window motor and regulator. (Not to mention the repeated promises that were never met.) The other reviews are amazing so maybe I just had the worst luck possible but regardless, I am never going back to them.Edit: Thank you for “checking your records” so thoroughly..we got the services done under my mother’s name. Great example of impersonal service.

DaSilvas Auto Body has given me possibly the best service Ive ever received. Back when I was in an accident because I slipped on black ice they were able to get my car up and running extremely quickly and at a fraction of the cost compared to other shops. Afterwards, when other problems arose due to the collision that wouldve costed me thousands of dollars the owner John DaSilva helped me only asking for a good review in return; he treated me like family. Service that high quality is hard to find. The people working there are craftsmen, auto body and quality service are their trade.

This was my first time going here and John and receptionist was helpful and nice and did good job on fixing my car. The only thing I can criticize is when I went to go pick it up my car was soooo dirty. I went to car wash and dirt still did not come off. I literally used sponge with scratch on it in order to get rid off the dirtMy arms and hand were so tired . Ive never went to shop that had my car filthy.

After being in an accident I was hesitant to even fix my car. I didn’t think it would be worth it bc I felt like it would never be like it was prior to the accident. BUT I was wrong. My car is actually better than before... from my headlight (which was really tough to find bc it’s one of those fancy headlights) and body damage (dents and bumper damage)to my radiator and condenser etc...my car is like brand new. I didn’t have call repeatedly to make sure they were fixing this or that...they knew what they were doing. Very knowledgeable staff. The receptionist was super friendly and courteous and my car was repaired fast and the quality of work was A+. I will be using DaSilvas for all my car repairs and body work in the future. No questions. They worked with my insurance and it was literally hassle free!!!They are best car repair shop, hands down, that Naugatuck has to offer. Usually I use the dealership for my repairs and maintenance but no more...DaSilvas isAMAZING ( and I am not exaggerating).I might be their biggest fan...They saved me so much $$$ and the quality of work was top notch.

I cant recommend DaSilvas enough. I called and received a phone quote for auto body repair. Made appointment, they did a great job for the quoted price - plus fixed the spoiler (which I never mentioned to them) without even telling me. Later I found a new bottle of touch up paint in my drink holder. Everyone was friendly. I will be recommending to everyone.

Ive brought 2 cars here multiple times so I definitely trust the guys at DaSilvas. Sometimes, its a little tough to get a hold of someone there, but the estimates I get are very fair and the work is always completed on time. The owner is a great guy and makes sure that my car is taken care of.

I recommend this place over any place great prices, amazing customer service, and perfect job done on my car, I drove all the way from West Haven and will always come here. If you want a perfect job done on your car then come here. They also kept me updated on the process of the car.

Overall I believe this body shop is great with their service, treating others as family, and helping out in any way they possibly can. The work done on my vehicle was done in a great amount of time, and most repairs quoted were done well. The only concerns I have were the fact that the wheels had a sort of covering on it that looked like they started to recondition the wheel and that was quoted on the claims paper work, however, the work was never completed. Secondly, my infotainment screen inside my vehicle was scratched up pretty significantly after the repair. Personally, to me, this was not the biggest of deals because it did not impede my vehicle value nor the functionality of the vehicle, however, I thought it was concerning that the vehicle came back slightly under-repaired in terms of the wheel and the infotainment screen was scratched up. As for the vehicle, it is working well, looking great on the body and am thinking about bringing another vehicle there for some more work.

I was so impressed with the honest and fair estimate and repair cost. Every member of staff I spoke to was pleasant and helpful. The work done was excellent. My husband has also had work done here and we both found this a place we will definitely return to and recommend to friends.

I cant give less than 1 star or I would. I really wanted to trust these people based on the reviews perhaps I am the exception but I URGE you all to look VERY carefully at ANY work you have done here. This business charged the insurance company to replace many new parts on my car and instead did repairs, pocketing all the excess which was significant. They are quite close with the appraiser so I am sure it was easy to defraud both me and Allstate.John,You continue to say that the damages to my car were significant, they were not, I was at a complete stop and was backed into by a car that was barely rolling, you have also failed to provide any documentation ie. receipts or photos for this significant damage you proclaim. We are not simply talking about shoddy repair work, we are talking about you being paid to REPLACE parts and then poorly repairing them without even conferring with me. I have told you in my email how I would like to move forward....I am not going to simply go away you know what you did and you didnt get away with it...plain and simple!!!

Poor customer service. Never get call backs about my car and never get work done on time or at all, even with an 8:30am appointment. I shouldnt have to call 100x to see if my car is remembered and I am still waiting g to hear prices for the repair LOL. They closed and kept my car for 4 days including weekend with no courtesy call when THEY gave me an early morning appointment. A complete waste of time. Took it to Reborn Auto in Bridgeport and had a call back within 2hrs and got my car fixed same day at a great price.

Family owned full house repair shop. They do it all. I had my BMW painted, engine work, suspension swapped, lights, etc.John treats you like family when you walk in to his shop. He knows his stuff on cars. He works with you on prices. I needed the car dropped off to me in norwalk when it was ready and they were nice enough to drop it off at my work. Really a pleasure working with these guys. I felt relaxed knowing my car was in good hands. Im going back soon to get my jeep fixed that has rust on the rear fenders. These guys do it all. Definitely worth the trip from Norwalk. You guys Rock !!!

I just got my car back from DaSilva Autobody. John fixed my hood THE SAME DAY I dropped it off. The price was more than fair and the work was flawless. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. It says Integrity on the wall above his desk and he has it in spades.Oh, and he vacuumed and washed my car. Beyond thrilled with them right now.Dont look any further, hes your guy.

I used Dasilva’s for repairs after a car accident and they did an amazing job. Got in my car yesterday and heard a loud rubbing noise. I called John Dasailva in a panic telling him I must need brakes, and he got my car in first thing this morning. 15 minutes later he said my brakes were ok and it was simply a piece of plastic which came loose under fender and was rubbing. Needless to say I expected to be spending several hundred dollars and thanks to their honestly I ended up paying for nothing but an oil change. Being able to trust a business is rare these days, so I highly recommend Dasilva’s both for their honestly and quality of work.

I highly recommend DaSilva’s Auto Body for ANY type of car repair work. They have always been trustworthy, reliable, and honest with me. John (the owner) has always been willing and able to work with me when it came to my budget and helped determine what the most cost effective route would be for me without skimping on quality. They honor appointment times, call you if the work is going to take a little longer and always call for permission to proceed with anything. I own a Volkswagen Beetle and have seen many different cars (foreign & domestic) in their lot. I have been a customer there for over 2 years now and John is a reasonable, hardworking, family guy. I know one of the mechanics, Bill has worked there for several years now and is extremely knowledgeable with all types of car repairs. DaSilva’s is also involved with community activities and are usually promoting awareness to different cancers / diseases. I also recently saw in the office a few posters that they proudly hired veterans. Being a young, single female I have always been weary of being taken advantage of at auto body places, but that is definitely not the case here. If you want quality work and five star customer service, DaSilva’s is the place to go.
