I have nothing but positive things to say about this place. I am always greeted with a smile and all staff I have encountered have been courteous and professional. I always get pretty nervous when going to see a new stylist but Danielle was so kind, reassuring and very knowledgeable. She did a phenomenal job with my color and haircut. I highly recommend her! I also had a fantastic experience with Sarah. She did a lash tint and lift. I will definitely be going back to see here again as well!

Have been several times and Andie has been my stylist each time. She is ultra professional and talented. I have been more than pleased with Andies cut and color techniques. Five Star!

Andi Layhew is by far the most unprofessional and rude hairstylist I have ever met. She was talking badly about other people and did an awful job on my hair. I shouldnt even have tipped her but im not a heartless, low-brow, classless human being. Someone needs to seriously give her an attitude adjustment. Shes absolutely terrible.

Was told I needed a treatment for my dry hair but was never told price. Haircut was to be $55, bought 1 tube of product and my total was $130. Very expensive haircut!

Asked for my hair to be trimmed and I wanted to leave it as long as possible. She said she would take an inch and a half but it is now 4 inches shorter. The style was awful and my hair looked way better unwashed and in a clip then after I left.

I have red, very curly hair and its always been a challenge to find a stylist who can work (successfully) with different textures of curly hair. Darcy gives the best cut and shape Ive ever had- it grows out wonderfully and maintains the shape so I can go longer in between cuts as Im trying to grow out. Also, she initially did a color correction over a couple visits, from a botched job somewhere else, and Darcy has transformed my splotchy hair into evenly blended beautiful red hair with dimension! Cant say enough about how pleased I am!

I went to a Jon Alan salon for about 3 years. 1st stylist couldnt do a pixie cut, so they switched me. 2nd one was fine with the pixie, but once I grew my hair out, could not cut it without it sticking straight out. The issue would always be that she would over-blend my hair, and it ended up sticking out 6 inches. She would argue with me that it was just the length that made it stick out a little bit. It was not the length and it was not a little bit. Switched salons and problem solved. I took my daughter there last week. They cut her hair uneven. About 2 inches longer on the sides than in the back. Made them re-cut it. Same issue. Told me that was the way it would look if they made it completely straight when they pulled all of the hair across the back. I dont know any 8 year old that wears their hair that way, so not sure what they were thinking. After the 3rd cut, I just said, yeah, looks fine. Trimmed it up when I got home.Everyone at the salon is nice enough, but seriously, you can get a much better cut at about any other place.

A great haircut, I was disappointed they dont put the oil on your shoulders with the little massage(my favorite part) but great cut.

I’m new to Nashville but have always gone to an Aveda salon. This salon is always so clean, and the people are so welcoming a friendly! I see Kenya here and she always does a great job! I’m always nervous to get my hair cut because I have curly hair, but she gave me the long layers I need to keep my hair tamed! She also does my color. She combats the natural red in my brown hair and it’s a perfect match every time! I look forward to when everything is open again so I can go back! I had the best experience Ive ever had at this salon on Saturday. I had stylist Becca who was fairly new to the salon. She was absolutely wonderful in really trying to get an idea of what I was going for in order to make sure I was a happy customer. I had a budget in mind and when the initial quote was over what I wanted to spend, she consulted with a master stylist who was next to her chair and they worked out a plan that ended up being even better than my budget while still getting the end result.Throughout the process Becca was very friendly and truly made every effort to make sure she was giving me the experience. She also consulted with the master stylist about suggestions and they were both so involved in making sure my hair would turn out great.Becca was not pushy about anything and truly cared about making me happy. I even got tips on how to style my hair so that it would continue to look the same after I left.It literally was such a great experience that I felt I needed to write a review! I love my new look (5 inches off and a new lighter color) and have received so many compliments!

Ive never had a full salon experience before, so my visit today was full of surprises. I got a head massage, Amanda washed and cut my hair like I was some kind of celebrity, and I left feeling like a million dollars. The salon is clean and neat, decorated stylishly, and they use an array of high end products and tools. The ladies were all really sweet. Amanda was my stylist, and she was amazing. I genuinely love her as a person. Wendy was very friendly and offered me something to drink while I waited. She also touched up my make up and told me I have good eye brows and lips, which was icing on top of this magnificent luxurious cupcake. Eryka provided the scalp massage- if youve never had one, just go try it. Life. Changing. They offer a ton of different services- go check out the website. Some of that stuff Id never even heard of. I left with a fresh do and a bag of products to help me keep my hair healthy.All in all, i had a lovely time, and I look forward to my next appointment. 🥰 Go check em out!

I came in today and it was by far the best experience Ive ever had! It was my first time in there and I loved it! Chandler gave me the tour the salon, she was very knowledgable of the products and if I had any questions she knew the answers. The services were outstanding! They have complimentary beverages which was a nice addition onto my experience. Chandler sat me down and asked me what I liked and disliked about my hair, and we decided on the type of haircut. She did a fantastic job and I cannot wait to go back!

Really a luxurious experience. I was just there for a haircut and they offered complementary beverages (tea, water, or even a glass of wine!), gave a relaxing neck massage with fragrant essential oils, washed my hair and gave me a great cut. I really enjoyed and appreciated it. Also, my hair looks really svelte.

Andi is THE best blonde colorist I have ever seen. Amazing customer service. Everyone at the salon is extremely sweet and they all go above and beyond for the clients. I usually HATE going to the salon but I actually look forward to seeing the staff at Jon Alan Salon Nippers Corner.

I came in on my first visit after trying to manage my hair color myself and embarrassed to even have them look at it. I pretty much looked like a zebra. They took a look and made me feel very comfortable, then made my mistake look great. They are very professional, great consultants and pay attention to detail. They will make sure you leave happy. This is such a wonderful salon! They greet you very nicely right when you walk in, and give you great hospitality all the way through. From the great coffee that was served to me, to the neck and scalp massage and the great haircut, I highly recommend this place after only my first visit! You guys are doing it right.

For a business that is supposed to give you a better experience than your avg salon, the beverages, specifically the coffee that is served which I am told was carefully chosen from the owner, is something that you would find in a gas station at 2 am in the middle of no where, using water from the Cumberland river. If you want a good experience, bring your own beverage so your first impression isnt hindered.

I walked in to get my eyebrows etc. waxed. Andi and Amber greeted me. They were very friendly and I was able to get in right away. Andi was my waxer and made what can be an unpleasant experience pleasant. Ive had oil put on after waxing before, but she also applied rose water which was a nice cool refreshing finish to getting waxed. Wonderful experience and its prompting me to try more services. Previously Id been waiting until I go home to North Carolina to get my hair done, but want to try Jon Alan now.

Literally awful. I can’t even BEGIN to express how disappointed I was. Inititially walking in, I thought it was a cute hair salon & they were showing me around. upon telling them how i, MYSELF, messed up my hair, and how awful it was, THREE hair dressers stood around me telling me how awful my hair was as if I didn’t know & I didn’t do it. they were going to charge me 350$ for a bleaching, toning, and conditioning treatment, OUTRAGEOUS. then proceeded to tell me, that if I went anywhere else to get my hair done cheaper I was going to look worse when I left than when I walked in. they’re the most SNOOTY salon I’ve ever been to & the 3 staff I met were extremely rude and stuck up. I will NEVER recommend this salon, nor will I personally ever spend my money here. I left practically in tears because they made me feel worse about myself than I did when I got there. If I could give zero stars I would.

Stephanie listens to what I am trying to accomplish in regards to hair cut and styling and provides great suggestions. She never seems rushed, and her head and shoulder massage are wonderful! I have followed Stephanie from the Nippers Corner Salon to the Cool Springs location. Her skills and services are worth the extra drive!!

I just moved to Nashville about a year ago, and the most difficult task is finding a good stylist!! I went to at least two awful stylists before finding the Jon Alan Salon. I love all of the stylists there and they are never in a rush. You get the full salon experience every time, no matter what service you go in for. I got a head, neck and arm massage to go along with my haircut & color service. I will never go anywhere else again! This place is wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone!

On a search to get my hair colored purple this salon said over the phone they would do purple. Drove 30minutes there and they snarled up their nose as I was in yoga pants and a t-shirt and said it would be very expensive..in that rude tone as if I couldnt afford their services. They then said your hair will never do that, with another rude tone even though they had already seen my hair when they said it would be expensive. They tried pushing me to go black with a few purple highlights...if my hair would do purple highlights thats even more proof it would do all over purple. They didnt want to do it and judged me for being dressed down. My advice is to dress fancy so they care to deal with you. Drove a total of an hour for nothing!

I just did a perm in this salon, but I am not satisfied with my results. I payed $100 dollars. This has damaged my hair and I am very upset about this ☹I called them back and i went to talk to the hair stylist and she told me that it was because of the chemicals but thats no excuse for their poor job. I went with high expectations but unfortunately I was disappointed. Never do a perm in this salon!!!

After searching for the perfect Aveda salon, I can finally call Jon Alan salon my home!As soon as I entered the salon, I was immediately greeted by multiple people & offered a drink.The salon is always very clean and I love the familiar Aveda smell that is so welcoming when you arrive! I was offered a beverage and next came the consultation.My stylist was the super sweet & talented Riley(Couch). My service experience started out with the signature Aveda shoulder and scalp massage with essential oil (total bliss!)Afterwards,she and I talked about what I wanted my cut and color to look like and we looked through a ton of pictures I had brought to make sure we were both envisioning the same colors.My chief complaint was that my blonde hair was so dry and damaged and I was going for the Balayage natural style look. She assured me that we could get to that look without sacrificing my hairs integrity. My hair turned out more beautifully than I imagined and most importantly, it FEELS like I have a brand new head of hair! That is what impresses me most with this salon, they really focus on giving you healthy hair instead of over processing & damaging you just to achieve a color that you may think you want. This has been my issue at previous salons which is why I really do embrace the Aveda philosophy on hair care/color.After my services, Riley took me over the product area & showed me what she had used on me during my services.She used this really cool hair brush on me called an ERGOceramic round brush and she raved about how it would really help me achieve the blow out/salon do at home. In the past, I have never been able to recreate my salon look at home so I was very doubtful!The brush was not cheap either at $40. I watched her use this brush on me during styling and it gave my hair SO much body and softness that, I had to have it!After 3 days of wearing my salon style, I reluctantly washed and attempted to style my hair with the Ergo brush...... PURE MAGIC! This hair brush has seriously changed the hair game for me forever!This is how the ERGO company describes it:20% longer barrel than other brushes.Extra long silicone handle for total control with less hand fatigue - even with wet hands.Seamless handle design prevents hair from snagging.Heat resistant nylon bristles infused with tourmaline for shiny humidity resistant & longer lasting finish.The addition of carbon to the bristle prevents melting up to 500°FRecessed end cap eliminates hair from snagging.Not only did this brush reduce my dry time, my hair feels so soft its almost like virgin hair!WHERE has this thing been all my life???
