I recently posted a 1 star review and I wanted to give an update. After having a poor experience I have had a fantastic experience. Everyone took great care of me the next time I rented. I had a beautiful car. All the staff were really nice and extended excellent customer service. I would definitely recommend and I will use them again. Thank you so much!

It only gets four stars because they documented the wrong amount of mileage. Hence the picture. I took that after I filled up the tank and upon returning the vehicle. Other than that it was amazing and so grateful we were able to get a vehicle on short notice. They are very professional and polite. I would definitely use them again. I just need to watch my mileage.

This is an Avis/Budget combo place, don’t miss it by accident like I did lolThere are plenty of chairs in case you have to wait to be served, but the customer service people do their best to get through everyone quickly!They really did everything they could to help me when there was a shortage of rental cars and I greatly appreciate the friendly and courteous customer service!

Started out a girls trip with picking up our rental car in the morning and met wonderful Mr. Anthony Booker! From the moment we arrived at the location, we were greeted very nicely and helped immediately. Anthony was beyond efficient and willing to work with us on our reservation - as we needed to add a few drivers and such. He was also very accommodating for when it came time to pick out our car. He walked us through the entire process and made sure we were very happy with our car selection. Anthony made my friend’s birthday weekend that much better by being so friendly and willing to work with us. I would definitely recommend coming here to rent a car because your experience will be wonderful!

Anthony Booker at this location was seriously a God send. We originally booked with a different company only to show up and be told no cars were available. In comes Anthony and Avis to save the day. He was so nice, accommodating, fast, efficient and helpful. Likewise for the entire crew at this location. They had cars! They let us rent same day! They arranged so we can drop off at the airport. Thank you so much! You left a great impression of Nashville during our visit.

The best experience I have ever had with a rental car company. We are on my birthday trip and Anthony Broker, the location manager, was MORE than accommodating. I am so pleased with this experience, I will 100% be returning!

Anthony provided great service! My friend had an emergency and he went above and beyond with helping us get her a car last minute and was super friendly on top of that!

Customer service: Top notch. The gentleman was nice and told me they didn’t have my car but gave me an upgrade.The car was nice. A little dirty but they were packed, so no biggie.Overall the ride ran smooth and it got the job done.Highly recommend this place.

I rented an Uber car for a week. Returned it on Sunday, a day early. On Tuesday morning my account had been charged for a second week. I called and explained the situation and the response I got was all attitude. Excuse me!? We didnt make a mistake! Of course this lack of customer service angered me. So I raised my voice. This apparently was the manager who doesnt know how to handle any customer service situation. She gave me an 800 number to call and didnt offer any other solution. Shortly after our conversation I got notified from Uber that my ability to rent from Avis had been discontinued. So not only did I not receive any customer service Im being punished in edition.

Anthony the manager is super helpful! He looked over the far in detail with us and made sure it was properly clean. Highly recommend coming to Avis next time you are in the area.

So 2 stars cause at least they called. So here is the story… Uber allows you to rent a car thru Avis but here is the problem why does Avis allow you to reserve a car make a appointment when they have no cars to rent you. The lady that called me said 6 to 18 weeks until available said uber hasn’t given them any cars. Well what ever the reason your offered discounts and a way to get a car but you can’t get a car so what’s the point. Oh she put me on a wait list yeah I’ll be at home waiting on your call.

DO NOT RENT from here. It takes 2+ hours to pick up a rental car WITH a reservation. Very inefficient process. The Cara are on a different lot and they dont take the cars to this location beforehand. They do it when you get there. There were only 2 parties ahead of us and we still waited 2 hours from the time we got there. The car wasnt clean either. It was dirty inside and out. If we had waited for them to clean it it wouldve taken 3 hours.

My experience was very pleasant! The level of customer service Anthony provided is uncommon these days. He’s friendly and created such a warm experience that I asked if he owned the place. My previous experience at the Avis on Church street was the complete opposite. Pick this place!

Took my reservation then rented out my car on the day of my sisters wedding. These guys are sharks... Complete lack of empathy from the salesman. Totally not worth the risk

Do not rent! Overcharge you because of them not charging your card the initial payment of uber rental on the day uber payment is due so then then charge you for overage in mileage. Very irresponsible and unprofessional. My card was always charged a day or two later and then when I closed my account they said I only owed 300 they swiped my card for 600. Car was clean when returned and in excellent condition and full of gas btw. Avis has had to refund me before because of there careless actions at this location once before. Sounds like they’re stealing money if you ask me just be careful when renting here something is definitely not right about this location that’s for sure and Avis location corporate will be hearing from me about ms christie or whatever her name is.

We reserved a car and flew in from Colorado and upon arrival we’re told that no cars were available. They claimed there was no number on file for them to call but my phone number was on the reservation. Do not rent from here.

The overweight white guy is unpleasant. Please no be from Tennessee I don’t rent from here they will run a credit check and please bring a major credit card they don’t except debit card. I find this to be a breach of all type of trust and contracts when you book a reservation!

Not that bad as many indicate below. Good and honestly customer service (no extra charges). Mark (owner) is efficient and helpful at the same time. The car was clean and had a full tank of gas as was promised. Renting a car with Avis is easy.

I use this location for uber rental as well as personal vacationing rentals....the 3 faces are what defines customer service...your front desk are personable considerate helpful and understanding....by all means call the location before booking with app or 1-800....and you 3 faces know who you are ....thanks for your sincere service

Best place to rent. Good selection, friendly service

Used them due to repair need at Honda on Rosa Parks and they had a car at the dealer, seemed convenient. I had to ASK the rate after my info was given, guy didnt even know. Car was EMPTY on gas, zero miles left. I put $20 in gas not knowing how long I would have it but had to go straight to the gas station from rental pick up. I returned the car a few hours later due to no further need. Keys returned to Honda dealer as instructed. Two days later I got $151 charged to my card. Called to inquire... three reps later nobody had record of my rental in the AVIS system. Upon taking this up with honda they paid the rental and Im awaiting a reversal of charges. This company at this location is beyond shady.

Durb was great! Everything was all set in 20 minutes even without a reservation!

I made a reservation yesterday with avis at this location for a pick-up at 11:00 am. I took my uber ride and paid for it, half way there avis called me @ 10:35 telling me they dont have a car for me. I asked the representative why didnt he call me earlier like at 9:00 am so i would have atleast acted and not order an uber and get there, he replies that “I DIDNT HAVE TIME TO CALL YOU”!!!!!! What kind of service is that they threw me off so hard!

Bad service ever in a car rental location.We rent a car whit Expedia and no car availible when we arrive at location.

My visit with Avis budget car rental was thoroughly enjoyable. The people at this location were friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful, they were willing to pick me up on the Jefferson bridge, and take me back home after our business was concluded. The owner Tony Loyd, was especially helpful in explaining the overall operations of his business, and showing me every courtesy possible. I am very excited about the possibility of being a part of this company. Could not be happier with our car rental from this Avis location. A bright spot in our experience was the gentleman who helped us—Durb could not have been more helpful or friendly. He was very thorough, speedy, and just really kind, and we felt very taken care of. Highly recommend!

They screwed up my reservation however they gave me a car. This rating should be two stars but i decided to give it a three and i ended up paying more than what it costs.

I rent a car very frequently and I just love these guys. Friendly staff, great rates. Convient to the main interstate. 65/24/40 interchange. Minutes from great food and coffe shops, also tourist attractions and historical landmarks.

Durb did it again!!! I waited until the last minute to do a last minute trip for the weekend yesterday and when no other locations had a car Durb got me just what I needed. He provided great customer service, he was extremely patient and diligent and making sure I was taken care of. I will definitely be a returning customer.Thanks for everything Durb and Avis!!!!

Fast and efficient.

This is your basic Avis car rental place. Its small and didnt have any cars other than the one we had reserved. My issue is that we reserved a mid-sized car and they gave us a Ford Fiesta and tried to tell us it was a mid-sized car. We didnt have any other options because it was the only car on the lot.

The guys at Avis in this located seem very friendly and put together, however, I do not trust this company! My dealership paid for a rental through Avis, they asked for a $100 credit card hold until the vehicle returned. I returned it a week later, and There was a $285 charge. I called once to find out why, and was only told that I should be getting it back at any day. A week later, no one is on the same page, half of the people say Im not even in the system, and no one has an answer as to why I was charged $285 instead of the $100 I authorized. If it is not in my account tomorrow, I WILL be filing fraud!!!!!!

Do NOT rent from this location! Your credit card info is not safe w them. I rented thru them because of a Honda recall, and the rental was supposed to be free.. ..My account was hit w a charge anyway. Not a hold etc... .an accident or so they claimed. They said I would be refunded. It didnt happen. Again, they said it would happen the next day. Still nothing. You can NEVER get a hold of someone there. I finally had to contact my bank and report fraud. Im certain I am not the first. Beware!

I had a rental through my car dealership as well due to recall issues. The dealership was paying for the rental. Was told it was a $100 hold on my credit card. I told them I didnt want insurance, the paper I was signing wasnt legible as it wasnt very clear and the guy told me to initial on the box and everything is fine. Theyre crooks as they charged my card. The manager told me he will be refunding twice I called, third time changed his story saying I agreed to insurance and I said no I didnt. Told me to call back two days later as he needs to talk to the guy who had me sign the documents as he was out for vacation. I called days later and he put me on hold on purpose and never came back. Called back and no answer. Put a dispute with my credit card company. This is a crook car rental place. Never again!

Durb could not have been more helpful with our last minute car rental. Everything went smoothly.

Very bad service have not rented off Avis again because of this place. Overcharged me by almost $200 for having a basic car for 2 days promised me my money back and after over 20 calls still have not got it back they made no effort to contact me and broke all promises. Very annoying considering we waited 2 hours for the car in the first place because the computers would not work!

Very pleased with the service here. Location is a little inconvenient however, as the entrance opens directly onto a very busy multi lane road--thought I was going the be involved in an accident just upon exiting the parking lot..

Rented my vehicle with Budget/Avis, Darb was great to work with, vehicle was clean, service was great. Will choose this company again.

I rented via Avis through a local Collision Center. After turning in the rental car, I received an inaccurate receipt. I contacted this office four times in an attempt to get the issue resolved. Each time I spoke with either an employee or the Manager and was assured a new receipt would be provide, but it was not. Ive since escalated my issue to the corporate office. Their business practices are deceptive, and I do not recommend renting from this location.

Had my car worked on at Honda and they set me up with a rental car from Avis. When I arrived, I was asked for my cc to be held on file for any damages and to sign paper work. Nothing else was explained. I signed and left. I was later charged $18 per day for insurance I didnt agree to, $39 total. I called to ask about the charge and I was told Id signed the contract agreeing to the daily insurance fee. Called again to ask for a refund, explaining the charge hadnt been mentioned and was led to sign without being told about the charge. Was again told Id signed the contract and there was nothing they could do. Very unpleasant way to end my rental. Looks like its happened to others as well.

Well!!! Every one has different experience... I was waiting there for more than 2 hours to get a vehicle (It was not cleaned - another story).... but the staff are nice...

This is the shittish company Ive ever tried doing business with.. ive done files 2 complaints and not done.. Im going to file a complaint with Tennessee BBB and see how they like that. I wouldnt even give them 1 star but thats only way I can post.. beware fraudulent company.
