HALO did a great job of installing our new split A/C unit. Part of the installation was in our attic with extremely tight and limited space available. They got it done in quick fashion in extremely hot conditions. They also helped repair some of the older duct work in the attic to insure the new unit would work most efficiently. After the installation, they left the work area spotless. I would definitely not hesitate to use HALO again for additional work.

They did a fantastic job and were very quick to help when one of my thermostats went out. Great job :)

I had one of those monthly service contracts with the governor’s company. They were always trying to sell me something. This last time they told me I needed to replace all of my ducts under the house for $11,000. Fortunately my daughter had used HALO before and told me to call them. Thank goodness I did! The owner of Halo came over and carefully looked at everything, telling me what he was finding as he did. They ended up cleaning all the ducts, repairing the ones that were messed up and installing some new ones for about a third of the other estimate. And HALO did an excellent job. The workers were nice to be around and cleaned up everything. I quickly canceled my monthly service with the other company.

I had been using Halo Heating & Cooling to service my ancient AC unit and heating unit for the last two years. The AC stopped blowing cold air on a Sunday. I called the office first thing on that Monday morning and they had someone out that afternoon to look at it. The compressor was dead and it would be too expensive to replace so I decided to get a quote on a new unit. I got a call that afternoon from the owner Chris with the price, which was so reasonable, and he explained things where I could understand and gave me the information on financing which I was able to get squared away that afternoon. They were able to get the new unit installed the next day. James and the crew that came to do the install were very professional and worked all day to get the unit installed properly. The service technician was excellent. I have never had air conditioning service as top notch as this. He went out of his way to thoroughly clean and service AC. ( In the past, others had simply briefly checked the air conditioner as well as the Freon. I highly recommend this company.)

Another company cancelled on me at the last second after scheduling a couple of days prior. I called lots of other companies to come repair my AC.Halo was the only company that seemed interested in helping me. They came out same day and showed up when they said they would. The technician was very knowledgeable and helpful. He immediately identified the problem and was able to fix easily fix it.

This is somewhat of a delayed response, but Halo Heating and Cooling installed two Amana Central Heating and Cooling units in my home. The price was very reasonable and the quality of work was excellent. In fact, my two older units were near my deck, so they moved them to the end of the house so now I can enjoy being on the deck and not listening to the cycling of the air conditioning units. I highly recommend Halo for your heating and cooling needs.

Halo was very competitive in pricing to replace existing 3.5 ton unit. They were able to respond quickly on time and did an excellent job in removing old system and cleaning up some errors they found in prior installation. In fact they beat my then provider substantially on same equipment and tonage.

We bought a 2 year old house in Nashville and immediately upon moving in had air conditioning issues. 95 degrees and no air doesn’t work. I called a couple places who couldn’t help, but Halo understood and said they could fit us in to at least add Freon to get some cool air. 2 days later, same problem so they came back. They doubted it was the coil, but said if it was, it was under warranty.They had to replace the coil, and did so quickly but....the problem still wasn’t resolved. The house has 2 units, different size for upstairs and down. When it was built, the connections were made to the wrong units thus making the smaller unit work harder than it could.Thank-you Halo for your perseverance in solving our problem. I highly recommend them for their professionalism from phone contact to the workers on the job.

I had one large room in my house that was not getting cool. And that family room was the best room for large gatherings, which meant lots of warm bodies added to the warmth. I was considering adding another HVAC unit. The Halo staff listened well to my concerns. They did NOT try to up-sell me like Lee did. The Halo folks suggested adding 2 fans in the duct work to force the air back into the family room. It worked! A few years later, the family room was not getting cool again. Halo came out and replaced one of the fan motors and fixed the problem again. The Halo workers are professional, considerate, and eager to help. Halo has always responded quickly when I have had a problem, too.

Very happy with the preventive maintenance/ yearly check I had done by Halo. While I haven’t used them for repairs or installation, I feel they’re knowledgeable and would do a good job.

We had a potentially expensive service call. Halo showed up on time, checked out the situation and concluded we didnt need to overhaul our equipment, the damage was minor and wouldnt affect the equipment. Good people who really actually care about what they do and how they do it. It was the peak of June and my AC stopped working. They came within hours notice and fixed my unit for a very reasonable price. The technician was super courteous too.

I had a simple installation of 2 Nest learning thermostats right after Christmas and Halo exceeded my expectations by far. They were able to accommodate me within 3 days of my initial phone call. The technician was early and ultra polite. He was downright a great person. He explained things in a way that I understood and even gave me a little Nashville history lesson. I just moved. He also looked at the way my new construction home was built and pointed out inefficiencies as well as things to improve them and alternatives to replace them. He let me know that they do not work off commission so he could be honest with his opinions. I was very satisfied with the work and will call them with all my needs in the future.

I had three service calls for my heating unit before I finally called Halo Heating & Cooling. Not only did they fix my heater but they also fixed what the other companies had done to it, which I came to find out was a lot of work. Everyone I dealt with at Halo was great. They were kind, helpful, knowledgeable and most importantly, they fixed my heat! I highly recommend.

We had an incredible experience with Halo yesterday! I thought our aging appliance was broken as it was making an awful sound the night before. I called one company that no longer services our area and they referred me to Halo. I had read other good reviews here, so I gave them a call to look at the air conditioner and also to do the regular maintenance while here. Turns out, a piece of pea gravel was inside and bouncing around, causing the sound. Josh, our technician had a good laugh with me about that and proceeded to do the maintenance. He also took extended time to answer my seemingly endless amount of questions and showed me how to balance the air in our ducts for slightly better performance in our old home. I was also impressed that when he asked where our hose was, I pulled it from our grass where I had been watering (about 50 feet from the air conditioner.) He did the cleaning and then returned the hose to our grass area. I thought this small detail was so considerate, as he easily could have left it where he used it. It also seems that the appliance is running better since he cleaned it. I am so happy to have found an HVAC company that I trust and will use anytime we need service and for our preventive maintenance.

Amazing service!! I called all around town for a quote and service and Halo absolutely beat everyone I spoke to in every regard: Customer Service, Service, Product, Expediency, Workmanship... As Jacob was done with the AC replacement, I found him sweeping the area. I told him not to worry about it and his response was, I need to leave the area better than I found it. Guests were arriving shortly on a holiday weekend with a weather forecast of 90 degrees. Of course, our AC unit stopped working. I called 5 or 6 companies and no one seemed to care. They all took a message and promised to have someone call back shortly. Some did, some didnt. Everyone I talked to (schedulers and techs) had a not my problem - see you next week mentality. Then I talked to Candice at Halo - she was efficient and personable and scheduled a repair appointment immediately. Within an hour, Josh called letting me know hed be there shortly. He was friendly and honest. He explained what was happening and why. He took the entire unit apart, dedicated his time to trouble shooting it, testing every bit and after much effort found a wire out of place. He repaired it and left our place exactly as he found it - no mess left behind, no drama, no guilting me into unneeded repairs or talking at me trying to sell me on a topic I know little about. I couldnt be more grateful to have called Halo. Josh and Candice were exceptionally helpful and turned a bad day into a good one!

I highly recommend Halo for any HVAC issues you are having. I was having a problem with my fan and condenser coming on, and called Halo based upon the numerous positive reviews I had seen. Their guy Trevor came out, did a bit of troubleshooting, and had me back up and running 30 minutes later. The problem was a fried capacitor (which was admittedly an easy fix), but Trevor was very helpful in explaining and fixing the problem quickly and efficiently, and at a reasonable cost. I will not hesitate to call them first if I have any additional problems!

They dont t honor their warranty for systems they install. Had a system installed, it couldnt cool the house, they tried to blame it on a miscalibrated temperature gauge, when that was disproved, they kept making appointments but would never come out. Had me waiting at home for them 4-5 times over 3 weeks where they wouldnt even provide a window they would arrive. Just made me wait all day and didnt show up or call. I think theyre trying to run the timer put on the warranty.Im so disappointed and starting to think they sold me an AC unit for my house that was too small but charged me for a larger device. I dont know because theyve not been to my house after 3 weeks of calling for an appointment. Seems like a scam.

I’ve been using them for the past couple of years and they have been great. I always get a handful of quotes before spending money on expensive appliances and I have always felt like they are honest and fair. I do the Halo club because keeping stuff clean is extremely important for this climate and for the Amana lifetime warranty.

My AC units werent working correctly, blowing lukewarm air. I called Halo at 11:30 and they were out at my house by 2. Jason and his partner were out and checked everything thoroughly, efficiently, and quietly (I had 2 napping toddlers in the house). They were knowledgeable and helpful. They didnt try to sell me anything or push anything. They were here to help, did routine maintenance, and answered all my questions. I definitely will be calling them again when I need some work done.

I asked Halo to come out and give me a second opinion about whether or not I really needed a new heat pump. The other company claimed that the compressor was out and I needed to spend as much as six thousand dollars to replace the unit. Halos senior technician looked over the unit and determined that it simply needed a 30 dollar part. If you want to work with someone u can trust, call these guys.

I had to write this review. A week ago we contacted one of the more well known HVAC companies in Nashville. They were busy and couldnt get to us for at least a week. Then, I called another well-known HVAC company who did make it out the next day. After diagnosis our problem, he said it would be $800 to fix it. I wanted a second opinion so I called Halo. The gentleman (I think his name was Chuck) came out the same day I called. After looking at our air conditioner, he asked if we were still under warranty. I found out that we were. He then suggested that we contact them because they will be able to fix it for free. I couldnt believe it. I love it when a company doesnt seek to take advantage of you and they really help the customer whether it is with them or another company. You have my business moving forward because I can trust you. Thank you!

The company is very professional. I called late and they were there the next day. It was getting dark but the tech said he was going to do everything he could to get the heat up and running, It was a very difficult area to get to but he did everything possible to find the problem. Which he did but needed to come back the next day. He called first thing in the morning with the part and everything was up and running before noon. You can tell they really care about there clients. They sent an email requesting my to post a review here.. guess no one read the one I already provided over a year ago or its update ~ dropping it to a 1 star now.. for bringing back such a horrid memory...EDITED: March 2019 Updating review based on communication since the initial issue... they sent another guy out..second guy (Brad) came up with an entirely different issue with my HVAC than 3 other service guys including the original tech from Halo ~ I talked to Chris (owner) and I thought we had it all worked out... things seemed to be looking up and again... ball dropped.. last I heard from him was 2 weeks ago today, nothing since ~ so 2 opportunities, and still 2 stars and lucky to get that..when a second chance is given one should make good use of it - Sent check for the filters Josh brought out (yep didnt even comp that after everything) and went with Mid State for all my HVAC needs at both my homes (very reliable btw)Original review: This all started 2/6/19 - I called for help as the AC side of my unit was making strange noises when I attempted to use it during a 3 day warm streak .. since I take care of an ailing parent and I dont need interruptions in her comfort I immediately called out for several quotes... The first was Halo ~ they were quick about getting out and the guy (Josh) was nice, very thorough, spent a lot of time going over the entire unit.. came up with a couple of reasons things might be happening and left.. he was going to talk to his boss, research the warranty and get back to me with quotes... that was 19 days ago... no follow up - finally just just called the company to find out if they had any information for me yet and discovered he is no longer with them ... so now Im waiting to hear back from them, again... 2 stars for now...

Horrible experience! Called them mid January and theyve been out to the house twice. Still havent fixed my air upstairs 3 months later. Dont do what they say they are going to do, dont reply to calls or emails even from the owner, Chris, and nothing gets done when they say they are going to do it! Wouldnt recommend them at all.
