Best family athletics in Naples hands down. Tons of activities for all ages. Ive been a member since the early 80s its keeps getting better
Used to be great. Now they require sign up for classes, they’re full a day before then people cancel & suddenly an hour before class there’s 3 spots available. It’s almost impossible to plan. Also, I have gotten a $39 scholarship for the last few years, now they started charging $51 & will not honor it. They also stopped accepting Florida Blue & any other insurance. People can go to new gyms for $39 a month. If you don’t use the pool, daycare, it’s overpriced.
Ive been a member for 9 years now. A variety of classes is offered all day long. The instructors are friendly and motivational. Theres also a great pool for lap swimming or aqua classes. Theres also a nice spin room with new bikes. And plenty of cardio equipment on a gym floor
I rejoined this gym in hopes that the money used to rebuild it after the fire was put to good use. It was not, there is less equipment than before located upstairs while downstairs is a bunch of classes. So if you want to work out you need to work out around people... The gym showers are not heated. The fees are even higher, after accepting donations, which baffles me. The key tags used to get into the locker room are hit or miss, often times not registering that you are holding it to the sensor. There are a lot of better gyms than this. I cannot think of one in Naples that is worse. Oh and if you cancel, even with time remaining on your month they will bill you for an additional 30 days whether you use it or not. $75 intro fee and $50 a month. RUN AWAY.
Im very happy to support the local YMCA. Of course there are other gyms around, and maybe even some that have cheaper membership fees. But in terms of community building and the type of equal-access services that the YMCA offers, its well worth it to me to spend my money with the Y as opposed to a fancy-schmancy gym thats totally impersonal.
My boyfriend loves it here he did speed and conditioning here with Jackson to get ready for football and loved it. I try to get here once or twice a week and run on the treadmill, lift weights or watch my boyfriend. We are teens and I love it here and that says something.
Theirs place takes advantage of the younger crowd! I’m 15 and come here everyday but toady when I was using a machine their was already a plate on the machine from the past using it because I saw the past person using it. So when I finished my sets I just left the plate on the machine because it’s just the default weight most people use. Yet when I was done and ready to start my next workout the worker told me to put away my weight even though it was already there. The biggest problem about this was that the worker was to scared to ask the grown man to put away the weight and had to ask the little 15 year old. I also warn you that this same bald guy likes to stare at people working out which I find very uncomfortable.
The staff in the front are not very helpful and they have miserable faces and dont provide good customer service..Please put people who are willing work and provide good customer service for the company.I hope changes can be made.As the facility and programs i think its good and clean but staff in the receptionist area needs to go..
If you havent visited the renovated YMCA - get there now! The place is amazing - loads of great classes for all ages. Tennis facilities and courts are fabulous - love the Pros as well! Top-rated preschool as well. All the things a community needs!
The nice things about this gym is the brand new equipment, unfortunately, theres a limited selection of weight lifting equipment. Its very nice and typically clean, which is a good thing. The biggest downside, and the main reason why I am no longer going to attend this gym, is due to the fact that kids are allowed to run around unsupervised in the gym. This is completely unsafe, there is no adult supervision on these kids, and they are using equipment improperly and screwing around preventing people who are taking the gym seriously from using this equipment.
Stopped in for free one-day pass for new members. Great fitness centre with lots of free weights/machines. Staff didn’t have a lot of information on memberships
The staff was very unprofessional. I basically had to do all the talking because the staff did not seem like they wanted my business. It is a nice facility, but they are very rude.
Very disappointed that they would not honor the educator discount because I teach in lee county, even though I live in Naples... now I wouldnt reccomend this place just on principle...
Spinning instructor gretchen kicked out a young boy and his mother who really need activity from spinning class for being tardy. It was shameful and a display of lack of focus on the well being of the community. As a fitness center owner I was appalled and will seek an apology to the pair who went to the car dejected without working out.
The facilities are nice but A WEIGHT ROOM or workout gym is NOT A DAYCARE! It is seething with children who are just running around or touching the machines. This is not only unpleasant, but it is unsafe! Kids should NOT be allowed in the gym!!
This is a great place, friendly staff, tons of classes and first class facilities.
It is the most unprofessional nonprofit in Naples. Camp councilors are telling kids to fight each other. The lifeguards have made big improvements in the last few weeks though.
I love the ymca. Great gym! Great classes! Great things for kids!
Ell as far as the facilities go 4* would be 5* if it had steam room!Reason for my review is the horrible customer service! Most staff was nice and courteous but my girlfriend and I signed up and she was taking the classes and I would go to the gym. After a few weeks and a couple of classes she had an issue with the body combat class and the instructor not teaching the proper curriculum which to my knowledge you will lose your license to teach this class if you dont teach the proper curriculum, oh and forgot to mention she wasnt very nice either. We tried to reach out to the athletic director multiple times 2 emails 2 calls and 2 visits never decided to give us a call back. We even canceled for that sole reason 2 months ago and listed that as a reason thinking hey maybe someone will call us back and try and fix it still no call back! Poor customer service I will take my 75$ per mth somewhere else.
Do not enroll your children in to the YMCA-FSW Preschool. The Director does not have the credentials or character to run this facility. The administration successfully forced 90% of low income families to withdraw their children within weeks of taking over. Added fees- with no warnings, LIES. All while witnessing horrible turn around of teachers. Many have parted ways from YMCA because of their unethical behavior. Recently found out NCEF (Owners of Building) provided scholarship funding for the families left. Which is amazing! I was always told NCEF believes all children deserve the same education despite financial differences. YMCA DOES NOT SHARE THOSE SAME BELIEFS. Happy New Year!
You have a Very rude obnoxious staff they need to learn manners Also, they need to take in concern they have neighbours nearby that need peace and quiet. Yes I,m talking about the gulf shore apartments where many people have to live.
Well as far as YMCAs go not the best but then again not the worst Ive ever seen locker rooms are new and clean weight room exercise area all in all good
Love the classes here, especially Zumba and bootcamp! My kids were always well taken care of at the nursery while I was working out.
Super clean and amazing! Child care is awesome!
Love this YMCA. Clean facilities. Pretty new.
It is a great gym
Great classes at the Y
Fitness On Demand is the worst program ever. I went in for a group class and expected an instructor for safety. What I got was a video offered in an empty room (no one came!) with acoustics so bad that I left immediately.
Staff is absolutely horrible! They were very rude and I did not feel welcome at all. Would not suggest!
GREAT PLACE TO BE
Nice and clean
Please stop blasting the music in the weight room.
Modern well equipped
I Love the Y!
Excellent
Everything!
Awesome!!!!!!!
We visited a Bodypump Free Lesson and had a great instructor (Becky). Otherwise staff was rude. Where cloakrooms and Group Exercise Room are one could already mention unsolicited.
For excellent exercise
