This place was great. I have only been once but they were friendly, honest, and reasonably priced. They did good work and my car is now in great shape. I would recommend them to anyone, Ill be going back for all my car needs!

Theres a reason these guys have nothing but 5* reviews. Pat was honest, showed me what was going on and recommended some future fixes but wasnt trying to sell me unnecessary work. Today is Veterans Day. He noticed my military plates and said no charge for the diagnostic. its your day today. Almost teared up after the week Ive been having. I finally found the shop, and I will go out of my way to come here if/when I move. Thank you Nelsons!

As a female, many car services either dont explain well enough about the problems I have or completely over explain using terms that are not exactly common knowledge (to someone who generally doesnt know about cars). At Nelsons, I was actually surprised that Pat took the time to comprehensibly explain and actually show me what was wrong with my car. They are very flexible with their time, are considerate of my school hours, work fast and proficiently.

GREAT resource in Naperville. Ive taken my BMW and GMC Envoy to Pat for service. He does great work and is very fair in his estimates and pricing. On one occasion it took less time than estimated and the actual cost was less than the estimate. Very honest and very high quality work.

My husband and I (as well as both of our now grown children) have been taking our cars to Pat for over 10 years. We have never had a bad experience. Pat is honest and fair. He never pressures you to fix or replace parts. I dont know what I would do without him!

Ive been going to Nelsons for over 10 years. It is hard to find an HONEST mechanic these days, and I was luckily able to find one. Pat has by business and trust. He has NEVER pushed me to make any unnecessary repairs. I highly recommend giving Nelsons a shot.

To explain regarding the negative review listed below. A year had passed, customer took car to a dealership in Georgia. Dealership said, that Nelsons did not put insulators on the struts. Customer called Nelsons and told them what the Dealership told them. Pat told said customer to bring car in and he will take a look at it. Customer said they are living in Georgia and can not bring the car in. If anyone has dealt with a Dealership before, need I say more??? Dont know why the Dealership would charge $800 to put a pair of $50 insulators on the struts. The repair was done at Nelsons by an ASE certified technician. Its unfortunate that Nelsons could not legitimize this complaint. Nelsons Services strives to have satisfied customers. Unfortunately this is the first complaint in years by one customer and one visit by this customer.

I noticed loud noises coming from the exhaust on my car. I brought it to Nelsons before work, and by lunch time the problem had been fixed. The price was very fair and the customer service was excellent. The next time one of my cars needs servicing I will bring it to Nelsons. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good mechanic.

I go past several other car repair places to get to Nelsons because they are trustworthy, know their stuff, priced fairly and wont push unnecessary repairs.

I was a first-time customer and dealt with Pat only by phone as I had dropped the car off after hours. Pat called the next day to inform us that our oil leak was not a major one and that our brakes were fine (at least half their life left). He gave us the price of parts and labor and I gave the ok. He then called us back a couple of hours later to inform us that in fact the part (an oil sender) was actually $100 LESS than he had quoted us - that the dealer had quoted him the wrong price.Needless to say, his honesty on several fronts to a customer he had never seen was appreciated, and I wanted to pass that on. I plan on taking our car back to Nelsons on a regular basis.

Nelsons is a great local repair shop! Pat takes the time to explain what is wrong, provides advice on how to best and most affordably fix problems and the prices are very fair. After years with another shop, we wish we would have been coming here all along!

They got my car in promptly. My parking brake was stuck and my caliper damaged. They did not pressure me into expensive repairs but disengaged only the bad side. They explained the operation of the brale and caliper and charged me fairly! i highly recommend them.
