Great place for event rentals, they were able to get me 8 tables and a fan the same day

Just like the other one star reviews. The Nampa party side of Roots Rent was so unprofessional, rude, under staffed and very disorganized. I rented a 20 x 40 tent and while setting it up, we realized they had given us the 20 x 30 tarp. When I called the office, I spoke to a Ana who was rude and unconcerned. Plus she NEVER apologized for the mistake. They also did not give us any rope to tie down and secure the tent. We had to ask for the directions on how to set up the tent. Also, the store hours that were given to us was incorrect. It took two days of several phone calls to be able to finally get a hold of a manager.My experience with them was horrible.

I use roots rents in Nampa the staff has always been amazing even with last min bookings and deliveries.. Anna Cruz is always amazing and finds a way to fulfill our needs.I so appreciate how friends and professional they are.

Great customer service and friendly people. Great price but if you decide for a large slide or jumper. Pay them to deliver it & setup. Trust me you will want that. Overall great experience.

If ur needing to rent equipment go to Nampa store the service is way better they care more.... they dont act like theyre irritated to be at work or that they have to help you. Customer service isnt what it used to be.

Dealing strictly with the party rental side:We rented tables and chairs for our sons graduation party. Called the day of delivery to see if we could add a few patio heaters to the delivery. The response was They couldnt deliver them, but we could come pick them upAlthough we didnt understand since they had conirmed that our items had not been loaded for delivery yet, we just agreed to the pick up. (we were just thankful that we could add the last minute heaters) We drove right down and attempted to pick up the heaters and were told oh yeah, we dont have those Before the gal in the front office even acknowledged my husband, she looked at him THREE times and continued to do her work before even saying hello, can I help you? What service industy are you in? No apology, nothing. Not a care in the world.Items were delivered and delivery team was professional and quick to off load. Probably the best part of our experience.Monday rolled around for pick up and we called in to find out what time pick up would be. Response was oh well, we are short handed so we arent sure. (so we are supposed to sit around all day and wait?) Our response was that our neighbor had ordered a tent and we would check with them what time their pick up would be so hopefully it could be coordinated. I was told that I would get a call back. Delivery/pick up truck drove up to pick up my next door neighbors rental but their trailer was too full to pick up ours. 2 hours later I received a call that they wouldnt be by to pick up our rental. (We had now waited ALL day)Tuesday rolls around and at 3:45pm I receive a call that they are on their way from Boise and will be at my house in 45 minutes to pick up the rental. We rush home from the store to meet them there. Once again, no one shows up. No one calls to say they are not coming.Wednesday rolls around and they call to say someone is coming to pick up the rental and want to know when we will be home. After we have now waited for two days for someone to pick this up and no one has showed up, I am less than pleased with their customer service. Their response Cant you just leave it outside? (no... then Im responsible for it if anything is missing. ) The gal was beyond irritated. Extremely unprofessional.My husband contacts their office and they proceeded to say that we told them that we wouldnt be home on Monday which is why they didnt come by. (This was a lie) Why on earth wouldnt we be home and take the chance of being charged extra for a rental being stored in my garage? And why would you come and pick up my next door neighbors rental and not pick up ours while you were right there? Your system is broken and your customer service is even worse.We will not do business with your company again. Your staff is rude (the front office girls need to be replaced before you continue to lose customers) and have zero customer service skills. In your industry you need to know how to treat people, and you are definitely lacking in skills.

Every time we have a a major event, I get ahold of Anna because she always takes care of us. She helps us decide what we need & cares about her customers. Everything is always ready, linens are clean, & the workers help us load everything properly. I highly recommend them.

This place is awesome! I rented my Penske truck from here and was very pleased with my experience with the employees here! The lady clerk was very polite and friendly! Very knowledgeable employees! I will definitely go to Roots Rents for my next Penske truck rental!

Website is wrong for hours so make sure to call before going to their facility! Most linens are stained and in terrible condition when I get them, plus they never clean any of there colonnades and arches...I wind up doing it. We also have a terrible time getting ahold of anybody in the party division!

We used Roots Rents for our Subdivision National Night Out. Roots Rents prices were very reasonable. They did great with communicating when they were going to drop off items and pick them up! They set up everything where we wanted it!! They were a little unprofessional when it came to the billing and money part of it. They called saying that they did not get paid when in fact we paid in full prior to the event (The check got misplaced) We were able to get it figured out within a reasonable time though. I would definitely recommend them and use them again for our next event!

I went into the store and was treated with the most friendly, helpful, courteous and respectable service. This was like the old customer service that I havent seen for several years. I will now always do my business with root rents. Thanks Mike Canterberry.

Not the best experience with this rental company. My first call went to voice mail. No one returned my call so I called again. The lady told me she didnt know how to check voice mails (no apology) Got pricing and set up reservation for tables and chairs. Was told at that time they would be charging my credit card for a portion of the order, long story short, they didnt which resulted in another call from me to make sure they even had the reservation. The day I picked up the rental items I was not greeted when I walked in. The ladies were both sitting down chatting with a gentleman (not a customer, more like a friend who stopped in to visit) Told me to go around back and pick things up. They only had 39 chairs and not the 40, I reserved. Tables were wood, I had reserved plastic. Tables were scratched and in poor shape. My estimate from a different rental company was only a couple of dollars higher than Roots Rents and in the future, despite them being farther away, I will rent from the more professional company. I couldnt even get a clear answer as to what their operating hours. Dont trust what the sign on the door says because it sounds like they make up their own hours.

Ive been renting tables and chairs here for some time. They are always very friendly and fast. Have always had my items aside and no issues ever with double booking. The chairs are a bit flimsy and had some rust on them but once they are up to the table you would never notice. The tables are a little uneven when you place them together. But again the staff here is superb

Ken at Root Rents deserves a big shout out. We had a moving truck reserved for this morning, but because of issues they couldnt control, they didnt have it ready at the time we requested it. However, they got one for us as soon as possible and they worked with us to make sure we were happy even though things were late. Based on my experience with them, and Ken specifically, I would strongly recommend Root Rents to anyone needing a rental.

We called first, guy that answered was rude. We went in and the woman that helped us was nice enough, but our rental was not delivered the dates promised. Lots of confusion on their part.

You guys dont beat around the bush oh, and we really appreciate that I love how straightforward everybody is and it increases productivity all together which brings in more profit for our job sites. Ill drive an hour to get equipment from the Nampa store any time!

Delivery guys were awesome, quick, efficient and very helpful. Since the weather was bad that day, they even offered to go back for additional canopy panels and installed them for our event. However, my experience with the office was not very good. Received a quote via email, I responded with questions which were never answered. I then had to drive to their Nampa location to get answers to the questions and place the order. Later, when I called to request additional rental equipment, it took two days before I received a return call. By that time, I had made another trip out to the office only to find out the equipment was not available. I had scheduled pick up for the morning because we live in a gated area and someone has to be available to open the gate, however they did not get that into the computer, so pickup wasnt made until the afternoon which created an inconvenience. Equipment was very worn - one table had a loose edge with exposed nails that cut my uncles hand as he moved the table. I ordered 7 white round tablecloths, I received 5 white and 2 off-white. Honestly, despite the awesome delivery guys, I would hesitate to recommend the company because of the other negative experiences.

I coordinate events for a local institution. None of my interactions with Roots was pleasant. Even doing simple things such as coordinating delivery times, receiving invoices, and even hearing back about the availability of products became a chore with me calling to correct and remind people on a daily basis. I will certainly never do any business with Roots again.

I appreciated the extra time the Root Rents employees took to make sure I rented the right tools for my job. They are very easy to work with.

We rented table cloths for a wedding and they were mismatched colors of blue! Also, some of them had old food on them so we had to turn them upside down! When we told the management that the colors didn’t match they didn’t care and said it was the closest they could find. Wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

Don’t rent anything from this place! When I went to pick up my items they said they were running behind and didn’t have them ready yet. Well, when you are having a reception at a certain time you really can’t afford to wait two hours for your rental items. To add to it, the girl helping me was rude and unprofessional about the fact that they didn’t have my stuff ready to go when they said they would.
