Pete helped my wife out on 31. He was there in 10 mins and went above and beyond his duties to help her and to get the car on the truck. Rapid Transit is very professional and friendly. When my daughters car broke down he was out there quickly. My daughter was on the side of 501 at night and with their quick response they helped her get off the side of the road. They are very reasonable with the prices and will go above and beyond to help you out no matter the time of day.

A friend referred me to Pete today to tow my grooming van. From initial contact until my van was delivered the customer service was A+! He and his wife Gisele are such a cool team. The communication was exceptional! I highly recommend them and will be referring them to my friends.

My son called for State Farm roadside assistance this past Friday night at about 10:00pm. Some service (I do not know what service) showed up about 2:30 in the morning. The person texted but never called my son or knocked on the door. He had to get a ride to work an hour away and we had to go and pick him up and take him home after work. We called again on Saturday. At about 8:00 p.m., my son received a text saying it would be an hour and a half to 3 hours before he received service. At 2:00 a.m. he messaged me that no one ever called or showed up. At 6:20 this morning, Sunday, Patrick from State Farm called me. I explained the situation. I was very upset because my son does live an hour away. From the time Patrick called me until the time my son got in his car, it was 45 minutes. After Patrick called me the first time, he called me back to let me know the name of the towing service. It was Rapid Towing. Pete, who owns Rapid Towing, called me as soon as he heard from Patrick to confirm the number and address. After speaking on the phone, I texted him my sons phone number. Pete texted me back that my son would be taken care of and that he was in good hands. What a comforting text for a mom!! Pete also contacted me as soon as the situation was taken care of. I could not thank him enough!! Needless to say, Rapid Towing is now saved in my speed dial! This is the first time we have ever had to wait for roadside assistance from State Farm. It was inconvenient but dealing with Patrick and Pete made it worthwhile. Forever grateful for these two!!!!!

This place is the worst tow truck company ever. They towed my car which was a perfectly good working car until they picked it up and took it to their establishment. When I went to pick up my vehicle I couldnt put it in drive also my air compressor was broken also. To fix the damages they caused was well over $500 when I tried to get my money back from them to fix my car they said they didnt cause the damages which they did towing my car incorrectly. I wouldnt reccomened this company to anyone. I had to rate at least one star otherwise I would give them zero!

Called Rapid Transit and they were able to get to my vehicle in 20 minutes, if that. The owner, Pete was extremely professional and assured me that he’d get me taken care of with no problems. He kept me updated with the status of my tow from the time he picked it up to the minute he dropped it off and his service is extremely affordable. It was quick and hassle free.

Rapid Transit Towing is truly exceptional. I needed a tow and, not knowing anyone in the business, used the roadside assistance feature offered through USAA insurance — they’re a great company and I know from experience anyone they affiliate with has been measured and chosen with care. Still, I wasn’t expecting much. I left my car where it was and, within maybe 8 minutes of making the initial call, received a very friendly call from the tow truck operator telling me he’s on his way and, in fact, was already very close. It was such a nice surprise to even get the call, but even more to get it from a courteous, serious-minded, well-spoken person — those things feel good — they just do. I think we ended up talking 3 times — he called to say he’d picked up the car and sent a picture of an item I’d left behind so I’d know where he stowed it before dropping the car at my requested location (the dealership). And I think he called a final time to make sure I’d called ahead to the dealership so they’d know to expect him. Then a friendly text a short while later to let me know it had been successfully dropped off. I guess we all have a similar range of experiences with various businesses — some impress and some do not. Because I ended up asking, I found out the tow truck operator is actually the owner of the business (Pete Studwell). I am a long time (very, very long time) resident of Myrtle Beach and want my fellow residents and those of you who are visiting to know Rapid Transit Towing is tip-top — I sincerely recommend them to you.

Pete is the best. Extremely knowledgeable. Fixed my van faster and cheaper than expected. He also went out of his way to get me back out on the road. While it would have been more profitable for him to replace some parts, he did just what was needed. Mechanics are rarely honest but Pete chose to have honesty and integrity over profitablity.I will definitely come to him for all my van needs. Thank you so much.

Great service! Has the lowest rates of the other companies I called, and when the driver, Pete came to tow my car he checked it first, and it turned out it only needed a jump to get started. He helped me get my car started and I drove it to Advanced Auto Parts to get the battery replaced. Saved a lot of money!

While away at spring break I went to my car and my check engine light was on and my van was running terribly. Im 12 hours from home and dont know a soul in Myrtle Beach, Im like great this is going to cost me a fortune and who am I going to call? Im so glad we found Pete at Rapid Transit Towing. Wow, he is the salt of the earth. Very no nonsense, put my mind at ease, what a great guy. The part I needed none of the automotive stores had, even the dealer it wouldve been three days, I was leaving in a day and a half. He found it at a junkyard drove and got the part and fixed my car perfectly! All for a reasonable price. I cant thank Pete enough, he even followed up the next day to make sure all was going good with my van.
