They did work on our vehicle and they went above and beyond to help us. They were very reasonable on their prices also which is a rarity when it comes to this line of work!!! They will definitely have our business and recommendations
My grandson is a student at CCU. He had problems on the 1998 Ford Ranger that he has driven his 5 years (yes 5 :) in college. Long story short he had an alternator go out on a Friday afternoon. Great timing. He works two jobs and this is the only transportation he has access to. Parts house sends him to Archers and they take care of him on a Saturday for what I consider a very reasonable price. Thank you Archers for restoring my faith in mechanics.
Wanted to get my brakes checked while on vacation as they were making a thumping noise on the drive to Myrtle Beach, found Archers since it was listed as a AAA certified service center. They diagnosed the issue within an hour (worn rotors), were very thorough when explaining the issue to me, answered any questions I had, and replaced the brake pads and repaired the rotor within a few hours. I felt that they were honest and fair during my visit, and would recommend them to anyone who finds themselves in a situation like mine!
I have used them for tires, electrical problems and oil changes. Even when I traded my Mitsubishi in for my VW, I kept them as my auto service center. Honest, knowledgeable and friendly.
While Archers provided the services requested, they do not communicate well nor perform the routine maintenance timeline. Lets just say they do not demonstrate a proactive attitude. Following my first visit, I discovered someone had attempted to break into my car which I left on their lot the night before my scheduled service. They do not have security cameras. That repair included a new trunk latch and camera assembly. The second visit went smoother, but they didnt perform a software update which resulted in a roadside out of state tow and a days worth of travel. Most likely, I will not use them again for this newer vehicle.
Broke down on the way to Myrtle beach, Had my car for 13 days(my trip was only supposed to be 2 days so they kept me stuck) $430 later I had my car towed to a Honda dealership because they kept getting “bad” used ecu’s and when they finally got one that was good they couldn’t program it to my car. They kept us updated the whole time but day one should have been when they told us they don’t know how to program/reprogram ecu’s

I made an appointment and they said that they serviced my make and model. CarMax warranty works with this dealer. Get there at 8:00 on a Saturday morning then they call me at 11:30 to say they dont have the software to release the break pads? I want my Saturday morning back. Now I am delayed in finding the help I need with bad breaks.

Let me tell you about my first experience with Archers. I came in because I had driven my 2013 Nissan Sentra from California to Myrtle Beach. I needed an oil change, obviously, and the tail light was shot. I came in, and told the man I needed these things taken care of. After a short while, I was called to the counter, and told the oil had been changed. I asked about the tail light.The man sighed, and said Look. Its a whole assembly, but its four philips head screws and a plug you yank out. You have to pay me way more than you should to do something that easy; just order the part online, you can take care of it easily. I replied You do understand, I came here fully prepared to pay whatever price you told me to pay.He replied, We dont work that way here. We arent gonna lie to you.Never been to any other mechanic. This place, you get your moneys worth, and they will take care of you, without taking you for a ride. 10/10, when I worked for Batteries Plus, I would always recommend folks to them if the job wasnt related to the battery. They will treat you right.

We found Archer’s through AAA and had our car towed there late in the afternoon on a Tuesday. I received a call Wednesday morning with an estimate for repairs and was surprised with another call that afternoon that it was ready. They answered all questions and were very professional and the price was very reasonable. I checked with a couple mechanic friends back home and they said It was a good price.

I left my car here to get a quote for a repair. After receiving a quote over the phone I told them I would call back the following day with a decision. I called the next day and informed them I didnt want the repair done. At that point I asked for the keys to be placed under my drivers side seat so that I could pickup my car after work. The gentleman on the phone said he would have to talk to the mechanic, to which I said okay, just make sure he leaves the keys under the seat. When I arrived after work to pickup my car the shop was closed, as expected because it was after work hours. My car was locked behind their gate so I had no way to retrieve it. At this point I was honestly very upset and frustrated, mainly because I had to waste money on a taxi to get there (and then again to leave). When I called the next day explaining I needed to get my car they said that would be fine as soon as I paid them for the time they looked at my car, I told him I was surprised they charge just to get a quote, but he informed me that was standard practice at most shops. Although this was the first time I encountered a fee for this personally, I do believe generally that could be true. I was also informed it could be up to an hour wait to get my car because they had other vehicles in the way at the time. I basically said I was on my way and needed to get my car. Upon arriving there I was told the reason for the fee was for the time researching for used parts for the repair quote (approximately 2 hours they said). I was told I was only going to be charged for half an hour though. The bill was about 50$. I paid them and retrieved my car. While the bill was unexpected and I suppose not too bad, the fact that they essentially held my car captive over night after I had asked for the keys to be left in it so that I could retrieve it was an overall costly and huge inconvenience for me. You could say it was for security reasons but my personal opinion was because they wanted to make sure they got some money before I got my car. That would have been fine, and I would have been happy to pay over the phone and retrieve my car after work hours that day, but after asking for the keys to be left in the car I never received a call back about a bill until I called the following day. Overall I feel they could have communicated with me better, which would have saved me time and the money I spent on a taxi/Lyft. While they did say they reduced the bill for me, I just couldnt help but feel like I was taken advantage of when I finally got my car out of there. My rating is based on how I felt my overall experience was with this place, excluding any actual repairs. Based on other reviews they seem like they do good work and Id like to give them a chance if I need quality work done in the future but with the rough experience I had Im not sure if I can convince myself to do that. I would only suggest that they try to communicate better and let there customers know up front what they are paying for before doing anything. Even if that is researching for parts.

On our way down moving from Illinois my cars gas cap light came on. Not knowing who to trust we were referred to Archer’s, they cleaned the auto close gas flap and the light went off. I was only charged a very minimal charge,unfortunately the trouble light came on again next I got gas so I took it back. They apologized and said they tried to fix it in the most cost affective way because it was only sticking and it worked for a while but now they needed to do a replacement which was just over $200 so we agreed. They got it done quickly and it was ready the next day. The light came on again with the next fill up so I called and they said to bring it right in but it was Christmas week and things were crazy so it was 2+ weeks before I got it there. This time the repair was totally free and they apologized for the inconvenience! I was thrilled and it is nice to know there is still honest auto repair shops out there. I highly recommend them 😊

A local friend recommended Archers to me and Im very glad he did. There are several places closer to my residence, but it is worth the effort (even with the bridge closed!) to go a little farther. They are very professional and gave me the information I needed to make a good decision about repairs. They arent cheap, but the work is done right the first time and they dont try to sell you anything you dont need. I will definitely recommend Archers to my friends and continue to see them when my old truck needs some attention.

I have never written a review before. Anywhere. I felt I needed to share my experience this morning at Archers.Best customer auto service Ive encountered since moving here. They took my car in almost immediately, identified the issue, explained what needed to be done and went to work. The price was beyond reasonable. Everyone I came into contact with were friendly and total professionals. I found my new mechanic, they will be getting my business again. Hopefully later than sooner, but Ive already started recommending Archers to my friends.
Changed the rear pads and rotors on my Camry. Good people and reasonable prices. I dealt with Matt and Ryan both were great. My car was done on time. Later I called for an inquiry and they patiently explained everything to me. I have a long drive to Canada so Im glad that its done. God bless all honest hard-working people.

Ive been here a few times and my experiences were varied. On one occasion they were extremely helpful and knowledgeable replacing my catalytic converter and serpentine belt. However it did turn out that there was another underlying issue that caused my converter to fail and Im disappointed they werent able to figure that out, even though two other shops were able to. Also left there once with and my tire blew shortly after and I didnt have an issue before I arrived there but they claimed my tire kept going flat. Overall I feel the service you get depends on who happens to work with you at the time.

My husband and I were visiting Myrtle Beach from Toronto. We discovered a screw lodged in one of our tires. After calling CAA we were instructed to go to this garage. They took us in right away and we thought we were going to have to purchase a new tire. Since they didnt have the right one in stock they decided to plug it. On further inspection it was decided we didnt need either. They didnt charge us anything. Wonderful service, friendly and very professional. Would recommend this garage.

Im editing this because I learned Ryan is not indicative of this business. Today I spoke with the office lady Marsha and another man, and they were very nice. Theyre working with me on the balance. Very much appreciated. Will ask someone else, about strange sound, when I go back... this sound is why Id taken car back in to begin with. ▶️ [When I org posted my review, which Ive been doing for 3 years, Ryan called me on a personal level. Yelling. I hung up on him. Then retaliated by basically calling me a drunk in his reply/rant. Then at 6pm tried to take balance, which I have a signed agreement for payment on 7/1, out of my bank account (which was empty). Needless to say without my permission. After an 850.00 bill I had returned due to a bad sound. He was simply insulting. Demeaning even. I mentioned something being spilled and staining my door and speaker... he says well you had ashes in your car. My goodness what had that to do with anything. Ive had 42 cars and maintained them myself since 1978. Including the rebuilding of engines. Never had a car have 4+ things go wrong at once. All I was saying. Totally logical concern. And if a customer asks if the car was driven to hear a sound, they shouldnt say I suppose so. Then later say he had told me yes. Very unclear. Also, there was no water in radiator the day I picked it up. For $850 I should have had full radiator with coolant put in. I feel so disrespected. And I still dont know if my car is ok. Also he knew I live off of ss less than $800 a month.] But I still dont know what the sound is. Will ask someone else when I go back.

The employees are extremely rude!They had to keep my car unexpectedly. I called and asked them to wait on me 5 minutes so I could get my purse out of my car and the employee refused.As an answer to the below reply, I called one time during the day and you were supposed to call me back with and answer from the warranty company and you never did. I had purchased the car 3 days prior and we were giving back the car due to all the mechanical problems. They were putting me in a new car and I needed my belongings before we gave up ownership. I felt you could have waited 5 minutes so my child could have her bookbag for school the next day. My husband arrived at 25 after and you were already closed. I understand that you have a life outside of work but 5 minutes would not have hurt.

My family and I spent a week at Myrtle Beach for vacation. On our trip home the belt on my car broke and I was lucky enough to basicly stop right next to the shop. Found them on google and the gave me a great and speedy fix without braking my bank even though they knew I was from out of town. Great job to all the guys there.

Terrible service!!!! Went to get a diagnostic to see what was wrong with my car and they told me they would call me BEFORE doing any work on the car. I get a call that they had already done work on the car and were charging me an extra $50 then what I had agreed to. Forced me to pay for the labor they had done on their own without even asking me if it was okay. Will not be returning.

I was on vacation and was nervous about using an out-of-town mechanic. My fears were unfounded, as the repairs were completed quickly, competently, and at a fair price. Archers recommended the repairs I needed and nothing extra. Left their lot with a smile and a car that drove like a dream.
While on vacation a warning light indicator came on. Code indicated to have vehicle checked out soon so we started googling to find a shop to service Acura. Found Archers, gave them a call and they had us come right in. 20min later car was checked out and diagnostics ran. Guys were able to tell us we could continue to drive our car with no major issues until we could get back home to have part replaced. When asked what I owed they were nice and didnt charge us. Very friendly group. Another routine customer in waiting area was very complimentary of service he has received over last year. Thanks guys for helping us out during the holidays!!!

I would never go back if the work was free !!!....Bought tires and an alignment as part of a package and the alignment was never done and they failed to tell me about it, nor did they refund me the alignment package. Im a car guy for over 30 years, and the upsell they pull is laughable. Trying to sell me on a coolant flush after i just did one 3 weeks prior is histerical. ...I LIVE 4 MIN AWAY from Archers and would rather drive an hour and ten min to my new mechanic in upstate SC to fix any of our 5 family cars, what does that tell you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ..If you are not a car guy and dont know your way around a car, id be very careful, just because the staff may be nice doesnt mean the work is done....But just to be safe im stating these are my opinions, If you know your way around a car and know all the ins and outs of car repair, including all the pitfalls, then maybe you can try them, but i hold a degree in automotive technology, and I would never go back to them !!!!!!!! ....now what does that say????
I had my oil and filter changed at Muranos last Saturday. Because my garage was filled with building materials, it was necessary to park my Murano outside on the concrete driveway until last night. When I moved my car inside the garage, I noticed several oil spots on the driveway which has not been there previously. I parked the car in the garage overnight, and when I backed it out of the garage this morning, there was a significant puddle of oil on the garage floor. I took the car back to Archers to be checked out. They reported that it was simply oil residue that had been spilled while changing the filter. I have to say that I find this hard to believe because: 1. Oil residue would not have made as many or as large oil stains. 2. I have had this car serviced on two previous occasions at a Nissan dealership (Its a 2014 model) and have never experienced this problem. Most of all, I am concerned that there seemed to be no concern on their part. There was not one word of apology, nor any recognition of the inconvenience this caused me. My trip to Archers and back is over an hour. The oil change and tire rotation cost me over $80. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Archers, nor will I recommend them to anyone I know. My search for a reliable, independent auto shop continues.
Do not take your car to this business. I took my car in for an alignment just before Thanksgiving. When I left the car pulled just as bad as when I brought it in. I came back and they told me the sub frame would need to be adjusted. If this was the case, why was I not told when I brought it in for alignment instead of being charged $75 for an alignment. They wanted to charge me $200 more if not more than that to align the sub frame on top of what I already paid. I can tell by the tone of the responses which brother is making comments on the poor ratings here because one of the brothers was extremely rude. A friend arrange for me to take my car to Harry’s Discount Tire and for $60 he aligned my car properly. He said the alignment was way off. When I called asking to speak to the owner I was not permitted to. I guess the father owns the business but the suns run it. Perhaps the sons don’t want their father to know what a terrible job they are doing. Either that or the father doesn’t care about pleasing the customers. All I requested was that my $75 be refunded since they did not do the work they said they did. They wanted me to bring it back in after I had aligned somewhere else but my ex-husband is an auto mechanic and told me not to let them put my car on the rack after I have gotten an alignment somewhere else because if they were trying to tell me my sub frame needed adjusted then they were probably unscrupulous enough to purposely do something to my vehicl. It is now just after New Year’s and the incident was prior to Thanksgiving so I have given them plenty of time to give me a refund. After a while my emails started bouncing back but I called and the brother that runs the phone gave me his personal email however my last two emails have not been responded to. This company will tell you there is something else wrong with your car and try and charge you for more work than is necessary. Do not believe them when they tell you what your car needs. As a matter fact go somewhere else because these guys are untrustworthy and scamming customers to up their prices. They knew I would write bad reviews so they blocked me on Facebook so I couldn’t write a review there. It would’ve been much easier just to refund the $75 for the alignment because I’m not going to give up until everyone knows what criminals they are I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. Matt at the counter is a very nice guy but Ryan is horribly rude so I’m looking forward to see what snotty comment Ryan will right here. Have your dad contact me. It’s sad when a customer is not permitted to speak to the owner of the company who has taken their money. I had to pay twice for an alignment because I don’t think you guys ever even touched my car. If so why is it that another station was able to align perfectly, you told me it was aligned when you first did it and when I brought it back suddenly it needed the subframe adjusted. Sounds like a story to get out of taking someone’s money and not aligning the car. I’m sure you have my phone number on file so do feel free to contact me and do feel free to give me a refund and I will remove my negative reviews and you can rip off other people

I took my1998 Jeep to Archers with two problems( heat core & air condition) . They fixed both problems for me in timely matter. I picked the Jeep up and AC only worked a day. I took it back and they got on it right away... there was another issue with it and that is the reason it quit, nothing to do with their work. But they worked on it all day and fixed the problem with no charge to me !!!! They have my business for life !!! Great customer service !!!
Released my personal information to a stranger: My car had something wrong with its breaks during a road trip so I called AAA to get it towed and fixed. This auto center gave me a good price and service. However, on the way there I had an uncomfortable and unprofessional encounter with the cab driver who insisted he needed my phone number because I paid with a credit card. I gave the cab driver my house phone number. After I left the car place I saw the cab driver walk inside and a few minutes later he was calling me and harassing me. This auto center had given the cab driver my personal cell phone number because he went inside and told them I didnt pay for my cab ride (when I did). Regardless of the actual situation, whoever was working here gave out my personal information to a stranger. I called the next day and asked to speak to the manager just to let him know what had happened. The manager instantly accused me of jipping a cab driver and got very rude and defensive. I explained to him that the cab driver was lying and that his employee gave out my number. He was still rude and accusatory and said he would have to call the cab company to get to the bottom of this. He took no responsibility for this situation, it is a shame that this place is AAA approved. I know this isnt a common situation but releasing a customers personal information really shows what kind of company this is.

Always looking for the next sucker to walk in the doorYes there was an outrageous estimate $500 Oil pan .. and $1900 -2000 to change struts was told the struts where $900 so imagine my surprise when i found out that they cost $175 each went somewhere eles just to find out there was nothing wrong with either of those things go to this place at your own risk folks this we my only time going to this place MAYBE your experience will be better but for me ill never go back

COMPLETE SNAKES TYPICAL MECHANIC TRYING TO WESSAL THEIR WAY TO MAKE STEAL MONEY FROM YOU. They patched and plugged my tire on friday, sunday on my way to work the same tire became flat while i was on 31.. so they said theyll try to fix the tire.... theres no fixing that if you rode on the rim for 20 yards trying to get over on the shoulder. The man then replied it looks like I hit a curb because the side walls damage. thats obviously not the case when your driving on 31 in the left hand lane and have to get over of couse theres going to be damage done to the tire wall. When all they had to do was take the blame cause thier permenant fix didnt hold up. Then they refused to take money off or discount off for a new tire. Needless to say i will not the recommending them to anyone. in fact TIRE TOWN on waccamaw blvd is a good honest company I recommand anyone in need of tires, oil changes or anything to go see them first. If there was a way I could give them ZERO stars I would because 1 star would be a complement.
I guess I was able to hobble it off the lot. My car was sent here by my warranty company. This shop is a very poor excuse for an automotive shop. They were well mannered but. Their service was sub-par at its very best car went in for engine change . Everything was functioning fine besides the engine blown. Upon retrieval of my car I was told I need a catylic converter for $792. Told the csr no thanks please fix engine and hub assemblies. Get my car back cruise control doesnt work. Car wont idle. On top of that my hub assemblies werent replaced as I requested. They look for ways to rip you off if you call them on it . They will half-hazardly slap your car together. Theyll never see my business again. Stay far away if you dont have tons of money for trumped up troubleshooting.

Hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had with car Repair!!!!! One mechanic walked outside and urinated on the side of my car. They were unable to replace the alternator after 8 hours, (I had to go the next day to another shop and it was done in 35 mins). They left trash in my car from the alternator they tried to install. Another mechanic even came into the waiting room to ask if I knew of anyone hiring. It was so bad that it felt like a prank show setup!The owners son was in charge and he was so arrogant and unbelievably rude. He kept telling me “that’s my name on the side of the building so I’ll decide when the car is ready”.I’m not one to leave reviews, but this place was so awful that I would hate to see anyone else waste their money with such an incompetent business.Please go ANYWHERE ELSE and you will be glad you did!!!

This place is horrible!!!!!!! They overcharge for everything. No one should go there!!!!!!They try and take advantage of innocent people that dont have common knowledge of vehicles and OVER CHARGE. In my case they OVER CHARGED me by 250%. I went and got a estimate after the fact and the garage said YEAH YOU GOT TAKEN. Sure feels like it. JUST DONT DO IT. Find another garage.
