This was our familys 2nd year with renting an amazing boat from 3rd Coast Rentals.From the first call in renting the boat, to dropping the boat off at the end of a great day, everything was smooth, easy and wonderful!!!!Nick was already there at the lake to meet us, go over everything we needed to know about the boat and safety, and got us into the water with no problems.Our day on the lake and tubing with the family was so much fun.Great Memories were made, and we will be back again next year to do it again :)

Austin was awesome to work with. Available by phone or text for issues. Gave great instructions on using the boat. Boat was a great time!! Bear lake was superb for tubing like he suggested. Dont hesitate to give them your business. We will definitely use them again next time around.

Last minute decision to rent jet skis was an amazing idea! It was my first time riding one and the staff made it a great experience. Very friendly and down to earth people. They provided us with waterproof phone pouches so we were able to take pictures and also call them from the lake with any questions/concerns we may have had. My only regret is not renting them for more than an hour. Would rent with them again in a heartbeat!

We had a great experience renting a pontoon from here! Christian delivered it and went over all the safety rules very thoroughly. We also had rented a tube, we were nervous about pulling it because we’re not super experienced with boating. He showed us how to hook it up and gave us great instructions. We felt very confident going out on the water after he explained everything. The pontoon was in great condition and we had an awesome time. Highly recommend!

My family had a speedboat rental for today and over the weekend the speedboat was knocked out of commission. Immediately they called and set up a new boat for us, wasnt a speedboat but a pontoon, still had a blast!! The guys were awesome and they explained everything to us and whatnot. Overall it was a fantastic experience and if we ever have the need to rent a boat again these folks will be the first ones we call.

There is no reason to look any further than 3rd coast rentals. The experience from booking to docking was incredible. I mistakenly booked for a Friday instead of Saturday and when I called to change I was met by an incredibly friendly and helpful voice on the other end of the line (thanks, Brenda!). They also offer to drop the boat at any lake in the area, which is incredibly convenient. Nick arrived with our beautiful, clean, and well maintained speedboat early so he could give us a rundown of safety features and operation, and so that we could get on the water without missing a minute of our reservation. He gave us clear, confident instructions and then used a provided map to show us some of his favorite spots. He met us at the dock at the end of our time and helped us land smoothly with some calm instructions, and followed up the next day with a “thank you” and a photo that he had taken of us. The entire experience was a perfect mix of friendly and professional. We had a wonderful time and would highly highly recommend.

We had a wonderful day on the pontoon we rented. Austin was so helpful and gave me a good tutorial. We came in a little early and he was right there to meet us. This is the second time we rented from them and I would definitely recommend 3rd Coast rentals.

We just got off the Bayliner this past hour. SUCH FUN! We opened it up across the bay and took off to Lake Michigan. Plenty of seating, clean, runs great! The staff and owner were fantastic. We are already planning to come back next weekend for more good times!

3rd Coast Rentals was great! We rented a pontoon from them for this weekend, unfortunately the weather was stormy and didnt cooperate, but 3rd Coast keept great communication with us, and ultimately refunded our money, so we would not be in an unsafe situation. We are looking forward to nice weather and renting from them again!

Had the best first time experience ever. With great and easy how-to instructions. Definitely will be back!!

Failed to detail anchoring. When pulling the anchor back into the boat, it made a scratch that I was charged 50% of the rental for. There were other nicks and scratches on the boat although being told “it just got a paint job.” They used this excuse and charged me for the scratch. Buff out looked to be possible and the 50% charge was skeptical without a correct or accurate price for the service. As rentals, there are typical signs of wear. I was not given the same experience they said they wanted to give everyone if the boat had previous dings and scratches. Would not recommend unless you want an unexpected charge of 50% of your rental. No receipt was provided for this charge either.

3rd Coast Rentals was a delight to work with! We rented a speed boat from them around the 4th of July. The communicated clearly, were timely and so responsive. We would definitey rent from them again!

Excellent. Boat was well-outfitted with all safety equipment in brand-new condition. My family of 7 had a great time, despite it being too windy to go out to Lake Michigan today. Boat was clean and Nick was there early to help us get up and running quickly, so we had plenty of time to go tubing on the inland lakes. He also helped us with unloading when we returned. Overall very professional yet easygoing - a rare combination that makes renting from 3rd Coast a pleasure. Next time well do a full day!

3rd Coast made sure our half day boat rental was one of the best experiences ever. They called the night before to ask if we wanted to switch our rental day as the scheduled day called for storms. I asked what time was available, and they said what time would you like. They were on time to drop off the boat and were very courteous and professional. The boat was in excellent condition, both mechanically and from a cleanliness perspective. I highly recommend 3rd Coast for any of your West MI/Muskegon boat rentals.

My friends and I rented a speed boat a couple weekends ago and the experience was fantastic. Everyone was extremely nice and took the time to answer all my questions prior to scheduling. When we showed up on the rental day, they were early and went through everything with me. The speed boat was in great shape and clean. We had a great time on the pontoon! Austin was so helpful and explained everything to us before we got on the water. We went to Bear Lake and hardly left because it was such a perfect weather day. The boat was perfectly clean and easy to use. Would recommend anyone who is going to the area to use 3rd Coast!

My wife and I rented the 20 pontoon for an afternoon. Nick was so friendly and helpful upon arrival, and made sure we were comfortable prior to letting us loose on the lake. The boat was amazing, super clean and a joy to ride around on. The only problem is now my wife wants to buy one for ourselves...Until then we would gladly rent from 3rs Coast again.

My family and I recently traveled to Michigan for a quick vacation. We had intended on renting a pontoon but waited too long. After calling two other companies, I spoke with Brenda at 3rd Coast who advised me of a cancellation. She was able to secure the rental, make amazing suggestions, and answer all my questions in no time! We arrived at the location and Nick walked us through the paperwork, the pontoon, answered all our questions and made some fantastic suggestions on how to spend our day on the lake. We were up and running within 20 minutes. We had a great day taking advantage of most of Nick’s suggestions and the time flew by. When we pulled into the pick up location, Austin was waiting with the trailer in the water. He helped my husband “dock” and drove our belongings back to our vehicle. I have never worked with a more friendly, knowledgeable and positive group of folks! We highly recommend 3rd coast rentals, their equipment was clean, performed well and the staff is beyond outstanding.

Super friendly staff, easy to book & a lot of fun!You pick the lake you want the boat dropped in(they have a few lake options). They send you a link of where to meet, they drop the boat in & meet you back at the dock when your time is up. Definitely would use this service again!

My husband and I rented a speedboat from Third Coast Rental, and were very impressed with this family owned business. We rented from them for the whole day...there were thunderstorms that morning and they were very accommodating and continued to update us all morning about the weather. The boat was very clean and the whole process was very simple. We would highly recommend this company to anyone!

Very friendly, did a great job explaining everything. We rented jet skis and felt confident going out on the water despite having little experience with jet skis. Also, was scheduled to rent a boat but the weather didnt hold up and they were very understanding and were willing to give a refund. I would definitely use them again if Im ever back in the area.

Excellent jetski experience with 3rd Coast, the machines are brand new and can accommodate adults with kids. The chance to ride on Muskegon lake is great for beginners.Be aware that the actual address is next to Putters Creek mini golf and go cart on the veterans memorial, and not at this Google Maps location

Great family owned business. The woman I spoke with was super helpful, and I believe her sons delivered and picked up the boat to us. Very reasonably priced, we toured around lake Muskegon for a half day. We rented the 50hp pontoon, and it had plenty of punch to cruise around in. If youre looking for tubing this boat could do it, but it would probably be more fun with a faster pontoon (which they have). We fit 10 adults in the boat comfortably. Super great service, clean boat, would rent again!

Had amazing ski and tubing day without a hitch. Company is family run and super nice. Lake Michigan is a bit scary in the smaller boats with decent waves.

What a great experience and cant recommend Third Coast Rentals enough. Friendly, transparent, flexible, and great boats that are like new and perform great. We had the pleasure of taking a speedboat out from Lake Muskegon to Lake Michigan, swam and cruised in the lake, and visited Bear Lake, a small lake off Lake Muskegon. As great of a time we had, I cant say more about the customer service, response time, and flexibility. The owners were available via text/phone to answer questions, responded quickly and made every aspect of the rental as convenient as possible—lastly, the prices. I was surprised to see the price for a half-day boat rental. I would pay more for the experience and to rent from Third Coast again.

When we arrived, he walked through everything we needed to know about using the boat and where to go on the lake. Good company to rent from ! The pontoon was ready and waiting when we arrived . Kind of rushed us off the boat when we got back 15 min early. The guy that put us in the water was much nicer then the guy who was impatiently waiting for the boat.Left my shorts on the boat and called the very next morning and was told I would be contacted. Never called and they have my shorts.

My family and I were able to grab a rental speed boat from Third Coast super last minute on the weekend of the 4th of July due to another party’s cancellation, so that right there shows you how communicative they are.They made the whole process buttery smooth- from booking, to dropping off the boat, and to picking it back up- all perfectly on time, too. The boat was pristinely clean and organized which is such a peace of mind given the pandemic we’re still in.Austin gave us the run down on how to operate the boat, how to get things set up for tubing and wake surfing (highly recommended if you’ve got kids), and made it really easy for us to get in the water and do our thing.My family had an absolutely blast cruising, tubing, and wake surfing on Lake Michigan and Third Coast made it happen with absolutely zero problems. Don’t think twice about booking from this family-owned business, you’ll be really glad you did!

I came here with my family and we had an absolutely FANTASTIC time! Nate & Brenda were super nice. They came outside to introduce themselves and quickly hooked us up with a jet ski, even though they were near closing. I also hadnt rode a jet ski in a decade, so they stood on the coast and watched us to make sure we were okay. I got wiped out on the jet ski!!! But Nate quickly hopped on his bike to come out and make sure I was okay and to save my whole life. He was patient and sweet, and 10/10 will come back both to that beach and 3rd Coast Rentals. BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!

These guys are the best. The booking process took less than 10 minutes self-service online from their site from my house in Grand Rapids. They called me the day before and day of to ensure my arrival and directions on where to meet them. Super smooth training and safety instruction, launch from the dock, instructions on places to anchor, and fantastic weather. Even facetimed their team twice to get the boat started when we turned off the ignition - super polite and helped me out in a matter of minutes. Brought the boat back and politely directed us to park the boat with gestures and even hopped in to help us do it while helping grab our stuff to offload it. We asked for directions to a nearby beach and was offered very easy instructions to Pere Marquette Park. I really loved the whole experience, had a wonderful day driving from Muskegon to Grand Haven & back today, and the boat was first class and completely worth every penny. I will certainly rent from them again and tell others to do so. They really enhanced my perception of services like theirs. Use them and you won’t go wrong 100%.

Great experience. Very nice people. We had bad weather in the morning. Brenda texted in the morning as she was watching the weather forecast. They suggested we delay the pickup which worked out great. They were flexible on hours. Did a great job explaining the boat and making suggestions for bear lake. We rented the seadoo jet boat. It was a great boat for 5 people. Maybe 6 max for comfort. We had the two person tube for our kids which was perfect. The launch location was not in there usual spot but they were completely flexible since it was a walk from our rental.

Ok. There is competition in the area for rentals for even the most novice of water motor things like boats and jet skis and such. We visited others, no names, and were completely turned off by the appearance of their equipment. This led us to search for other options in the Muskegon area.3rd Coast is by far the most accommodating and friendly business that we worked with over our one week stay in the area.Chipping in. Prices were great. We rented a great big pontoon boat that was both clean and luxurious. Including a full tank of fuel for the day, we also received delivery and a free lesson on how to operate the machine. Not only that, we received lessons on both the operation of the machine and the ins and outs of the area. Brenda and Ron were both very friendly and sincere with their services and were absolutely available to answer questions even while we were out on the water for more than several hours. They even threw in an inner tube for some extra fun, free of charge which may not sound like much, but was really an appreciated gesture that made our experience more than fun.Our group of ten had a blast. So much so that we found them two days later at one of their satellite docks to rent some really nice jet skis, just because of the positive experience. Really cool family business and if I am ever in the area again, I will be sure to call on them.We wish them the best and hope they grow with the utmost success.If you are in the market to rent some cool water craft, they have a nice clean selection and absolutely care about their customers. Great rental, called a few days before our week long trip to Wolf lake, had trouble finding rental on small lake. 3rd coast delivered to the lake, it was a great boat, brand new 20 Bennington with 90 hp Yamaha stocked with everything you would ever need, tubing equipment, lots of life jackets, great BT radio, awesome rental and a great price.
