After growing my hair out for the last 2 1/2 years it was finally time to donate. It was also time to take the plunge and find a local barber. I am SO glad I picked Shave. The owner, Joey, took great care of me and based off of the other cuts I saw as I sat in his chair-he and his entire staff are on top of it. I will never go anywhere else, and could not be more pleased with the service and care I received. 10/10 recommend!

After growing my hair for more than a year, I went there for a style change. I got a nice haircut but I was a little disappointed. I asked the guy to suggest me a hairstyle, as I didnt really know what I wanted. I was expecting him to at least suggest me a few options but he just kept saying whatever you want. Thats my only issue.

I have been searching for a good barber shop for a WHILE and I found it. This place is a A+. Great people, great service but best of all, an amazing haircut (my barbers name was JOEY). The inside has a retro feel and they have arcades for the kids while you wait. I will definitely be coming back.

I started going here before COVID during COVID and currently. I saw first hand the were following every CDC guideline and county rule they were supposed to. Been coming to this barbershop since I moved to Murfreesboro. By far the best customer service and best conversation I’ve had at a barbershop. They are always ready by my appointment time, If not before it. The shop is always clean and Always has great seating and typically has great music Playing as well. The process of making an appointment was ok, would be nice to be able to select the type of cut first, then the appointment time, then see who was available.The place is nice and easy to find, they 2 arcade 1 up machines (street fighter & teenage mutant ninja turtles), great for kids to pass the time.The stylist I had was great with no complaints. Will go again in the future.

Friendly staff and great overall experience

This has been, by far, the best experience I’ve had when getting a haircut. I needed to get my hair fixed up before my brothers wedding the next day. The place I had previously went to severely messed my cut up, and refused to work with what I was wanting. Ryan listened, and worked with me to make sure I was happy and confidant when I got out of his chair. These guys are inviting, kind, and funny! As a girl, I find it hard to find a place that will give 100% when shaving my head. These guys went above and beyond. They have gained a permanent, for sure.

Ive been going to the same person for 22 years. I have specific issues and dont allow anyone else to cut my hair for fear theyll mess it up. But when my person was unavailable I called Joey and took a leap of faith. He has cut it twice and I am soo happy. Got it cut super short and no problems. Also my family goes there now too. We all love it.

I had gone to my original stylist at a different location and left with an awful cut. I’m going on vacation tomorrow and really didn’t want to wear a hat the whole time. While I was doing some errands, I saw this place across the street and figured I have nothing to lose. I came in explained the situation, and Joey got to work on my hair. I honestly thought my hair wasn’t salvageable, but Joey fixed me right up with the mess he had to work with. Am very appreciate of the cut and will definitely be back again

Just walked in today after a long day at work. Was taken care of in minutes. Joey did a great job cleaned me up perfectly. I got a great haircut and a nice clean shave. Everyone is super friendly and all for a great price you have to check them out over here.

Update: the owner reached out to me wanting to give a free trim to make this right; I really respect that and have updated to 3 stars, I will try again and update this review again after.Went for a beard trim because I had a big meeting the next day and wanted to be neatly groomed. I spent an hour at home doing it myself AFTER paying them to do it, because it was far from neat and not consistent, I would not be surprised if I were told the lady had never trimmed a beard before.Definitely will not go back.

I was tired of the horrid hair cuts my son had been getting from the local chain barbers so today I decided to try Shave Barber Lounge in Murfreesboro. I immediately told the nice person at the front desk my current feelings toward the poor quality haircuts my son had been getting and said if they had no one that could do what we wanted (showed pic of said style) we would happily take our business elsewhere. At this time the owner, Joey, said it would be no problem and that he would cut my sons hair himself. I accepted his challenge and made an appointment to come back in a few hours.When we came back Joey was ready, and so was my son, who had been lamenting the current state of his cap-smashed do. My son talked Joeys ear off as I waited patiently and talked to a wonderful lady by the name of Susan. My son repeatedly asked me not to look until his cut was complete. When I finally did, lets just say the skies opened up and harps began playing. Well never go anywhere else for another hair cut, and we drove from Tullahoma. Joey was fantastic! My son said to give him 10 starts, but sadly only 5 are currently available. I recommend Joey to everyone! If your do is a major dont go see the folks at Shave Barber Lounge in Murfreesboro in the Three Rivers shopping center and tell the Atrium sent you!

Great atmosphere and very experienced staff. They are awesome with my boys ages 5&8 years old. It’s the only place my husband(former active duty Marine) will go to for a cut. They do the best fades in town!

Super easy to schedule an appointment. Very friendly atmosphere. Pricing is fair and the quality of the service was great. As a woman it was a bit intimidating to walk into a barber shop but I was sick of getting the same salon style cut. It was nice to be listened to.

I have been going to Shave for many years now and can’t say how proud I am to see this shop grow into what it has become. For all these years I have been willing to drive from Mount Juliet to get not only a quality cut with quality service and a welcoming environment. The barbershop business is a very competitive one and almost impossible to make everyone happy, but even the way that the shop handles the occasional disgruntled customers with grace and positive feedback and with an ownership willing to right any perceived wrongs that may have occurred speaks volumes to the integrity and professionalism they have. Took a break from work to get a much needed haircut. I am the only one waiting. My appointment is at 2pm. At 2:10 someone walks in and the guy asks are you a walk in? Yup. he replies and then tells him to come on over not even acknowledging me. The owner tried to get me to come back in once I asked what the deal was and walked out. I refused. I have been going here for years. The new one opened up closer to my house so it was more convenient. I was skeptical at first because i had been going to Shawn at the location on the square for so long but everyone is not only skilled but very friendly and professional. Atmosphere is awesome and i will not go anywhere else!

Shave popped up by our house and we decided to try it. It was the best switch ever. Kat does my husbands hair and she does an amazing job. Though only Kat does my husbands hair, I have watched the others and they have skills too. We wont be setting foot in a Great or Sports Clips ever again.

One of the most disappointing haircuts Ive ever had, by Rachel, on 2/8/19Here is what I have and what I asked for: a disconnected undercut with a shaved and shaped neck and sideburns. The sides and back of my hair are a #2 clipperguard. On top, the hair is longer, but angled up from side to center so that I can spike the middle. The top is also worn so that the part between my short sides and long top is visible. A straight line is therefore pretty important.Heres how Rachel ruined a simple, popular cut:1) the part/line between the short and long hair is now uneven, especially in the back, and is now higher on one side than the other, 2) on top, the hair is longer in the back and front than in the middle section 3) on top, the left and right sides are two different lengths 4) I had to ask her to go back and shape the edges around my neck, which she wasnt going to do at all. She used a clipper to cut it, again with an uneven line. She didnt even use a razor on my neck.I do not recommend Rachel. She seemed more focused on starting her weekend than on giving a quality cut.

Very disappointed with the service. Walked in and sat down. No one at the counter. Waited 15 min and a lady walked up and asked if I had been helped and told her no.She asked me if I could come back in an hour or so. Seems everybody is more worried about taking lunch then helping customers. Will not be back. Update!!! Hey joey I will not revisit your barber shop or the other location. I had been a customer of y’alls for a couple of years. I used to visit the other location on the square and Pedro was my barber the entire time. I had scheduling problems with him. I would reach out a week and a half ahead of time and he would forget to pencil me in. That’s why I quit coming. I have watched many people walk in and out of your business because of appointments that other people made in advance. You should have a no walk ins sign on the door so people understand that you pretty much only take appointments on Saturday. You had a customer in the seat today when I walked in and you were more worried about the location of the rug at the front door than saying anything to me when I walked in. Good luck with your business in Murfreesboro. I will not be a part of it and would not recommend you’ll to anyone.

I got a bad cut from a different barber shop and a friend said I needed to try Shave Barber Lounge. I went straight to Shave and talked Joey about my bad cut from the other barber. He worked me in between appointments and gave me a fantastic cut. These guys know their stuff and I recommend them any chance I get.

Very friendly staff specially Sarah! I just had otoplasty surgery a week ago and two barber shop in Murfreesboro turned me away because they aren’t comfortable messing with hair around my ear (incision). Sarah definitely made my day! She was very careful and did an excellent job!!! Love this place!
