I was quoted a price the week before my appointment. I wanted all over color. My goal was to cover gray. When I got my bill it was $120!!!!! I didn’t even get a haircut!! The price I was quoted was $74. So many extras were tacked on that should have all been in the original price. I complained to the girl in charge and she said well she charged you everything right! Even the extra $22 for cutting my hair that she didn’t even do!!! Isn’t a trim, washing, blow drying and maybe a little straightening included in every color appointment you’ve ever had?? It has for me!! Who would ever dream you’d be charged $120 at Walmart!! Do not ever go here!! They will rob you blind!! Oh I forgot to mention the girl ruined a very expensive shirt by getting black color all over the back of my shirt that can’t be replaced. Worst place ever!! I’m sure I can go to a fancy place with better trained stylists for less than what I paid there!!Shame on you Smart Style!!

The girl who did my hair ruined it. Was supposed to be a trim and a balayage... She cut my hair and it was missing chunks and completely uneven, the colors were wrong and not even close. When I told her it wasnt what I wanted, she told me to take a couple of days to get used to it and said it wasnt really that bad... IT WAS!!

My new stylist (Melissa) has over 30 years of experience. I found that when a stylist has the same type of semi curly hair as I do, i feel as though I received a great and fashionable cut. Great conversation and not too busy as expected being inside a Walmart. Love the ability to book online and can even choose the stylist for next time.

Renea was the bomb.com, she was nice and friendly and she did a great job BUT I went back in there to get a mullet and the woman who cut my hair butchered it in my opinion and everyone else I live with agrees. The left side of my hair is longer than the right. She “layered” it but that also looks terrible. Definitely will be sticking with other stylists even I even return.

I took my daughter here to get her split ends trimmed. Definitely a mistake.She asked for just a simple trim, leaving as much length as possible. The stylist said that wouldnt be possible because her hair was extremely damaged, which wasnt the case in the slightest. Her only problem was about a half inch of dead/split ends. The stylist then pressured her into getting long layers.At the end of the whole ordeal, she turned my daughters mid back length hair into a long bob that barely grazes her shoulders, cutting about 4 inches off. She cried all the way home. Definitely never coming back.

The last that cut my hair was very sweet. And not fake sweet but that southern hospitality sweet. And she did an amazing job on my hair I love it! Here are before and after pics of my hair

Rude and disrespectful...Renea Hart bashing my salon on social media due to Covid 19 hours of operation. You would think a stylist would understand these regulations. This is who is representing your company. Wonder what she says about your salons 60% capacity of operation?

All the girls are very professional and listen to what you want done. Renea is the sweetest and does an amazing job! Would definitely reccomend!

This is an excellent example of a small salon inside the local Walmart superstore.Walk in customers are taken between scheduled appointments in pretty quick fashion.Stylists are helpful, knowledgeable and able to recommend multiple modern hairstyles from just a good old fashioned haircut all the way up to modern trendy styles that are popular currently.Coloring, curls, clipper cuts and lots of choices for hair care products to meet everybodys needs or wants.Pleasant atmosphere, great place to bring kids.

My hair dresser was professional and friendly. She got my haircut and styled perfectly!! And you can schedule your appointment online!

If I could give this no star, I will. Totally disappointed at this service . The lady Renea Was so rude and very unprofessional. She constantly insulted me and and belittled me despite me politely asking questions about color of my hair. When asked questions, she constantly nagged and told me to go elsewhere if I wasn’t happy.Then she drifted off with another girl halfway and started making fun of me and other customers. This is the most unprofessional person I have ever encountered in my life and I regret ever going there. The wrong color was used, my hair was in worst shape than when I came in. I totally regret my visit.I don’t recommend anybody to go over here at all. Go somewhere else.If you must go here please avoid Renea by all means. Don’t let her touch your hair or have any form of contact with you except you are ready to leave that salon with a bad hair and a disgust feeling.

I have been here many times and they usually do a pretty good job. Brittney and Valerie are very good! Had a new stylist this time by the name of Savannah. All I wanted was a spritz and cut. She didnt wet it at all and didnt stop talking to everyone around her which left me with the impression she wasnt concentrating on what she was doing. As a result my cut is uneven and frizzy. She didnt even take the time to check the evenness of the cut. I cannot wait for my hair to grow out!

Disappointed, really disappointed. I walked in at 10:30 this morning for a 10 minute haircut. I was told there was a 2 hour wait. I asked the woman if she was sure and she confirmed. I asked if I could make an appointment since I didnt want to sit there and wait. She asked, Would you like to make it for 12:30? I said, Yes please. After she confirmed my appointment, I left and returned at 12:25. At check in I was informed there would still be others ahead of me. Im not sure if this is poor management, lack of personnel needed to act expeditiously, or what, but this is not what I expect when I make an appointment. I told her to cancel my appointment and I went to the local barber shop near Harps in town. Within 5 minutes I was seated in the barber chair, no appointment, and getting my haircut. The service was quicker, more detailed and nearly $3 cheaper. Ill be keeping all this in mind as I make future haircut plans.

Im a low maintenance customer. My haircut is a one on the clipper, even all around. Job is done in less than ten minutes. And I give a tip. The last and final time I went there they kept me waiting 20 minutes past the appointment with no end in sight. I told the stylist I was out of time and she offered to rebook me. Why? So I can waste more time? Besides, I dont like being treated as if invisible. The stylist will stop mid haircut and carry on a conversation with another staff member. Or she just walk away and help at the register all the while talking about the latest drama in her life. I do have a suggestion: if you are going to have clients sitting in that chair or waiting in one of the two seats available at least clean the place up. Its dusty and looks dirty. My recommendation is to go else where. Their prices are not competitive, find a local shop where the owner actually cares about their customers.

These Ladies did a fabulous job on my daughter Emmas hair. She had dyed her hair black but wanted to go back to blonde. She normally has a dirty blonde tent to her hair.She had started by dying it herself Which left her with orange hair and a bad attitude. She called the shop and they got her right in, they even stayed late to get her finished.Emma had to have the stripper applied twice inorder to remove all of the orange tiny from her hair. Add a shampoo and a color and she went right back to beautiful.These Ladies did the impossible they put a smile back on the face of an 18 year old girl. At a discount price as well. Emma had no idea the cost of true beauty and I threw in what I had.I hope my daughter returns there with the tip these angles so greatly deserve.

The salon itself has always been clean when I was there other than hair on the floor which is to be expected but is never there for long because when each operators are finished they clean their areas & help each other if its busy.

Im always happy with my haircuts at the SmartStyle Hair Salon in Mountain Home. That being said, I think the Express Haircut that you advertise in large print on your sign for $15.27 is very misleading. Ive been told this price is for a buzzcut only, but no where does it say this on either your sign or website. I think most customers assume this is the price for a haircut without a shampoo. I would like to give the hair stylist more of a tip, but $18.97 for a 10-15 minute simple mens haircut is too expensive. Especially since its the same price whether you get a shampoo or not.

I went in for highlights mind you I have blond hair already and have had highlights in my hair for years so the tech only had to follow the pattern that was already there what I got was nothing like I wanted half of my hair she didn’t even go down to the scalp she put in big blocky highlights not natural looking ones. I also asked for a trim and she cut off 3 inches. When I finally got up enough nerve to say something the manager was rude and condescending towards me. I wouldn’t use this place if I was you!!!

The express hair cut on their price list is a buzz cut. You will pay over $17 for a simple hair cut that includes a washing even if you don’t want it, ridicules, not worth the money.
