Not the worst place to rent in moscow, but also not the best. Lived in the Henley apartments for a year lease. In that year, we had a constant mold problem in the bathroom and the small bedroom. We tried taking care of it ourselves, because we were instructed that any mold growing was our fault because the apartment was too moist and we didnt leave the bathroom fan on enough. We left that fan on 24/7, to the point where the fan ended up nearly breaking, and the mold never went away. We finally put in a work order, and the maitenence man just sprayed it with bleach, which we had been doing for months. Of course, it came back within a month.Along with other maitenence issues we encountered - the water never remained hot for long. The closet doors constantly broke. And the AC unit never worked. The cord was cut to the unit when we moved in, and I expressed this to management multiple times. I put in 4 work orders and was told that the AC units were on backorder. When I asked for a decrease in rent until it was fixed, they said no because the units are not advertised to have AC units. Our apartment would get to over 100 degrees in the summertime. It would be colder outside then in the apartment. I had moved in July 2020. In may 2021 I asked again for the AC to be fixed, and they said that by the end of the week it would be replaced. It is now june 2021.Parking is horrible. There is hardly any spots available and the lot is small. The washing machines leak and the dryers do not dry entirely. We also recieved death threats from neighbors because we were taking too long to do our laundry (each load took about 45 minutes, we checked it every hour).And finally, they have no restrictions on smoking marijuana. Because our apartment was hotter than hell, we kept the windows open, but our neighbors constantly smoked and the smell would enter through the windows. Me and my roommate are terribly allergic and would get sick. Management did nothing to solve this issue, so we had to suffer being sick in over 100 degree temperatures.

Renting through a new agency is always scary. I did a lease takeover, so I took on a risk of being responsible for any damage the prior tenant may have done. The apartments were old, but homey and so affordable. Any time I needed something fixed or addressed, I was shocked at how quick they were to respond. The maintenance guy (never caught his name) was absolutely awesome. He was so kind and thanked me for being available for HIM to fix something in my apartment! I would rent from hill rental again anyday and recommend them to anyone who is looking for a place to live.

We lived there for 4 years and we had a pleasant stay. Friendly staff. Always had Quick response on maintenance services except the less priority ones. I left the apartment clean and in good shape - Got my full security deposit back. Highly recommend.

Called and asked a simple question and edwardina was beyond disrespectful she wouldn’t even answer my questions after the first one kept saying bye bye bye and hung up on me . I called back and she hung up on me again without trying to answer me smh if that’s how they deal with calls I can’t imagine how they deal with their tenants

Rented with Hill for 2+ years. By far the best property management company in town. There is zero competition for the price. Staff are all very friendly and responsive, they keep their promises, and maintenance was done promptly 95% of the time (non-critical stuff had to wait sometimes, which is very reasonable.) No problems with the security deposit. Apartments are all clean and in good condition (I stayed in more than 1 place) and the price is about 5-10% cheaper than most other comparable places.We feel relieved were renting with them again starting this summer, cant wait to move back.

I have lived in a hill rentals apartment for 2 years. Their staff is friendly and they are very easy to communicate with. The couple of maintenance requests I sent in were dealt with abruptly and professionally. I would definitely recommend leasing through them.

The staff was friendly every time I went in to pay my rent. I got my full damage deposit back.The only criticism I have is that their office hours can be a pain.

I rented an apartment on S Hawthorne for two years and never had any problems. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. Maintenance requests were completed very quickly! The apartments are not super luxury apartments, but are fairly priced and well-maintained. I kept my apartment clean and got my entire security deposit back. Based on the terrible reviews of the other agencies in town, I am lucky to have gotten an apartment with Hill and would definitely recommend them!

Responsible, responsive, and fair property management company. Work order requests were always dealt with in a timely manner. Recently started enforcing parking which is great because this ensures tenants always have a place to park. The units are a great value for responsible tenants. I would highly recommend Hill Rental over any other property management company if you are looking for an apartment.

This is by far one of the best places to stay in Moscow. Reasonable pricing, great support and office staff. I lived 2 years at 1204 S Main St and it was amazing. Never had a problem. Quiet neighborhood and amazing place to stay. I also got most of my deposit back and also rent reimbursement for few days as I moved out early. Carla and her team are awesome!! Highly recommended!!!

I have lived here for almost two years and still love my little apartment. It feels like home and I would definitely recommend for anyone to live here. The application and move-in process was easy and painless. The staff was knowledgable and helpful and answered any question I had. Depending which location you choose, it is a very close walking distance to campus as well. If youre needing a very affordable and good rental experience, I would highly recommend Hill Rental!

Not one issue with this company ever in the two years I lived there. Responsive, non-intrusive, and fair. The only weird thing I noticed was that I was not shown the actual unit I would be moving into, but the one next to it, when I first viewed units with them. If my actual unit had a stained carpet or other damage I wouldnt have known about it until move-in. But, it went fine. Also, though this isnt the companys fault, there are some incredibly loud neighbors across from my old complex that screamed at their dogs all the time and used/dug through our dumpster which was unpleasant. However, I highly recommend them to anyone in Moscow!

My boyfriend and I lived at S. Main St for two years and were very comfortable. The pricing is very reasonable and when you put work orders in they complete them very efficiently. Highly recommend checking them out. Got most of our deposit back too!

I lived here for 5 years and only have the best things to say! Their office staff was always kind to me and acted as a true ally when it came to issues involving other agencies or roommates. I lived in the apartments at S. Hawthorne for 2 years. I loved the location, as it was easy to bike and walk to downtown and the university. If called about a problem (and I did have to call them several times about various plumbing issues), the maintenance team was there quickly, they were friendly, professional, and got the problem solved, even when that meant replacing a decrepit 25-year old water heater. The buildings are old, but have obviously been maintained as well as possible. The coin-op laundry is a pain (and at night you have to go up and down very poorly lit stairs) but at least it is on site and there were few instances of vying for a machine. The new internet installed in 2014 is amazingly fast. During summer, every other tenant in my building bought a window A/C unit. I just opened all my windows at night, and closed the windows and blinds when the sun came up--this kept the temperature just fine 99.9% of the time. I kept my apartment in good shape, thoroughly cleaned it on move out, and received my whole security deposit back. The people in the office were all friendly, and despite the drawbacks of the old building and coin op laundry, Hill is awesome to rent from, has reasonably-priced rent, and excellent maintenance service. I wish all rental companies were so fair and honest! Based on what I heard from friends about the other multi-property rental companies in Moscow, Hill is your best bet in the area unless you have pets...they are staunchly anti-pet.

I lived at the S. Lilley property for 6 years. Great apartment from a well run company. Everything was well maintained and they always responded immediately to any problems.

We had a decent experience (by Moscow standards) at the Henley St. apartments when we lived here 2013-2014. The office staff was generally friendly and the rent was fair. I am posting this review now because I hope that they have fixed these two issues since we moved out:1) Our designated parking space, that we paid for mind you, was always taken by someone and the office staff didnt care. It was a weekly problem, sometimes daily.2) The road leading up to the property and the parking lots were very dangerous during the winter. Complete sheet of ice. I ended up dislocating my knee in the parking lot because of this which ultimately lead us to move out.If these concerns have been addressed I would be happy to amend my review.

Terrible service I called them about a bad mold problem and the mold was in their Walls and all they did was spray bleach on it so it wouldn’t show but it came back, they could of killed me and my other roommates I would not recommend

Ive been renting from Hill Rentals for 3, almost 4 years now after taking over another tenants lease. Their maintenance guy is prompt and more importantly, a pretty cool dude. My only complaint is theyre kind of slow to reply to emails, but thats pretty minor since they act on calls quickly. Other than that, rents gone up a little bit each year (as is expected), and having been with a bad ex-roommate and in the same apartment for so many years, Im not expecting to get much security deposit back anyway.Overall, it has been a pretty stress-free arrangement. I suppose Ill have to come back and update when I finally move out!oops! I suppose I should mention Im at the Lilly St apartment complexes.

I mistakenly paid them one extramonth rent, they took most of it by showing fake repairs. Moreover they also took my security deposit. I lived for six years with them and got such type of treatment. So be careful with them !

The apartment is far from new but its well maintained and i was surprised at how good they made it look before I moved in. The office staff is always helpful and the maintenance guys are quick to show up to fix any problems we have had.

Henley St. was the worst rental of my life. Window imploded in the middle of the night in the kitchen, it was so humid that red mold grew everywhere and the apartment smelled musty 24/7, water pipe flooded in bedroom at least twice, neighbors had parties every weekend upstairs, both of our bikes were stolen, our parking spot kept getting used and there was nothing we could do about it, and the back road to get into the lot was a solid sheet of ice and snow all winter. Stay away.

The staff is phenomenonal and the apartments are well maintained. Would HIGHLY recommend getting a top floor unit at the S Main property if you dont want your upstairs neighbors to keep you up at night. Mine woke me up and kept me up for almost 2 years and have a dog that they arent supposed to have. This is the only reason I docked a star. Definitely get an upstairs unit!Other than neighbors the units are clean and large and well priced and the office and maintenance staff are world class. An absolute dream to work with!

Rented from Otto hills for a few years. Apartments are not the newest but if you have a problem they will take care of you.
