Every part of their service was outstanding. The service technician who came to my house was prompt, knowledgeable, and very personable. I have nothing negative to say about my entire experience. Very happy.
So far GREAT experience with the company!! Awesome customer service, install went very smooth, speed of service is blazing fast. No data caps, great for streaming TV. And for rural homes.. Would highly recommend 👍👍 Will update later..thank you,,,,update 2 wks in, no problems, signed up for 50 down, I test regularly with speedtest app, it ranges from 40-90 down,,so much better than ATT I had and before I moved, and cheaper too,,5⭐,,Ill keep updating..thanks again
** 8/30 UPDATE: Two significant service outages over the past couple weeks makes me question the reliability of this service; weekly outages certainly qualify as unreliable. We will see how long it takes to fix it this time.**7/20 UPDATE: After further discussions, UltraNet agreed to reduce install costs by 1/2, which helped. They performed our non-standard install, and the tech and engineer were professional & knowledgeable. Download speeds are averaging 70 Mbps, and uploads are 35+ Mbps. All seems ok for now, other than a few transient loss of signal errors which only last 1-3 seconds each; Ill continue monitoring these, in case they get worse. UltraNet doesnt guarantee a minimum download speed, which is lame.
New management has transformed this company. So much better and has been since new management!
Ultranet is way past due for an updated review based on current product and service. Time has passed, Ultranet has new owners and updated equipment, and the internet connection that I am enjoying right now is very good. The install was quick, clean, courteous and professional. I am residential on the west side of Cherokee Lake and signed up for the 50 Mbps plan. I am clocking between 45 and 53 Mbps download, and about 20 upload. And these numbers are after a Wifi router. Speaking of which, the Wifi router is a key element in the delivery chain. I started with an older (6 year old Netgear N600), inexpensive router that was clocking about 15 down and 15 up. I just cashed it in for a new Wifi6 TP-link, and the numbers jumped dramatically to the 45-53 Mbps download noted above. Dont let your Wifi router choke your speeds.Finally, shout out to Daniel and Chris! Thanks for the well delivered sales pitch by Daniel, and professional install by both.
Ultranet has made a lot of changes in the last 8 months. After change of ownership internet speeds have went from 8mb download speeds to above 150mb download speeds. Outages are mostly non existent.
I live right outside of the zone for Charter but Ultranet is the only option I have. The service cuts out every hour and as of the time I’m writing this review that no one will see, it has been down for ~24 hours. If I could move I would but I can’t. Anything else than Ultranet would be great.
We let Ultranet use our property to broadcast wireless internet to others rent free. The only catch that ultranet has to provide reliable high speed internet to us it has been down all fathers day weekend and routinely goes down for days without notification. Terrible service and support. No weekend or after hour support at all.
Extremely slow internet; usually between .25 and 1 mb of data. Only worth using 1 device at a time as it is near impossible to have multiple devices online. Best time to use between 9am and 3 pm (during the day when people are at work). Supposedly the customers of Holston Electric are going to have access to faster internet within the next 4 years for a reasonable and affordability price relatively to Ultranet. YAY!
Terrible connectivity. Poor customer service. Constant in and out on internet. Always a part to be ordered or lightning, wind, too much sun......
We have now been down for over a week. They are apparently waiting for some part and have no idea when it will be coming. 12/2 It has now been 3 weeks.
Poorest in the world so slow you need dial up to speed it up to down load anything you can go eat dinner service is like its our fault their equipment needs work it will be off for a week you call they say if i pressed 3 it would have told me plus they always charge weather its working or its not, well i gave up on Ultranet got Hughsnet wow what a difference had no innernet called ultranet 8 times friday said was closed but knew of the problem with tower was being work on i saw the tower noone was working and work started on mon. called Hughsnet on sat arrived on sunday installed in about 2 hours ultranet had no speed i was paying for the faster one at 49.00 never gave a credit when out for days still took my monies .was with then for over 10 years i am very loyal but this happens ever month why dont know few weeks back they were working on the towers i called got some guy i never meet said i should have called it woulds have told me it was out i said why didnt ultranet let customer know well i no longer have this head ache
Horrible connection and unprofessional. I have had them come 4 times and my internet is still terrible.
Not a reliable internet company had my service disconnected because of how poor it was and even though I made my pmts on time every month and was promised it would get better but never did I turned my service off and then received a bill for a whole month that I never used I call to dispute it with no success now they have put it on my credit report for 1 month of 77 dollars in my opinion they owe ME money for the pmts I made and service I never got!! Go somewhere else the Internet tech is flawed and expensive and they have one person tell u something you call the next day and no one had even heard of it just a horrible company
Internet went down at 6:43AM, left voice mail with customer service. Its 8:49 and I am still waiting. Last time it went out I waited 36 hours.
