This is a great gym that has a lot to offer. It was so easy to sign up when I came in, the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I did a kickoff with Bobby and he helped teach me how to use some of the equipment I wasn’t sure about. The classes are a lot of fun and you can tell the instructors love what they do. I love to use the hydro massage after the workouts, it helps to keep my muscles from getting too sore. Highly recommend!

Horrendous - cant put a hold on your membership unless you go in person to do so. Isnt the whole point to not have to go in and not get Covid? Will definitely be sending that certified letter canceling the membership. Would give zero stars if possible.

Recently I have noticed this gym has finally started to look cleaner. It looks like they got new staff for that ATLAST. I use my husbands membership and although it is now clean, we will be leaving this gym. The management treats their employees poorly. I have overheard bragging about firing of trainers recently and how they enjoyed doing it. Apparently these trainers dont even receive commission!!! I am shocked. I cant support such a business and the female manager is very very rude.

This is my favorite gym. Always clean, friendly and knowledgeable staff who offer assistance. I could go to a closer Crunch but I like this one. Great diversity of equipment and the sauna is good too. Highly recommended!

The staff was very nice and helped set me up with a membership easily. Did my training session, and it was a blast! Ashley is the best instructor too.

I Love Crunch fitness they have great trainers especially Ashley at the crunch in Morristown. Im a firm believer in the fact that you get what you pay for. I can honestly say that I truly get my moneys worth I give them 5 stars

The best crunch Ive been too. Its never too crowded, the benches are way more comfortable than the other gyms, its clean, people put their weights back!!

This facility was clean and had a good selection of equipment for its size, including 2 power racks and a squat rack as well as a kickboxing area. 4 stars because I was there too long so I had to pay 5 dollars to leave the parking lot. For that reason, Im not going back. Holding my car hostage for money is unacceptable.

They make it incredibly inconvenient for you to cancel your membership. In general you can pretty much cancel any membership, subscription, or a reservation over the phone or online for most companies but crunch wants you to send them a certified letter or go in to cancel in person. Its not that serious crunch it’s a gym lol you don’t need me to come in person or send a certified letter, I can cancel way more serious things over the phone with no problems. It’s completely bogus and a scam that they do this and they do it because they’re hoping you’re too busy to make time to cancel your subscription so they can continue to charge you. They make up this poor excuse stating for legal reasons they need your signature to cancel otherwise they can be sued. No one is suing you and spending money to sue you over a canceled subscription, in that event they would just open up another account.. it’s not a big deal but you make it into a big deal because you’re a scam and hope to get a couple more charges in on people before people have to make time to go in and cancel in person

I been going to this gym for about 5 months now and it’s definitely one of my favorite gyms. It’s super clean, and everyone is so friendly. Kennia introduced me to the kick off program and Jeff was available on the spot. He was super helpful and informative to what I was looking for. I definitely recommend him for a trainer.

I originally changed to Crunch from LA Fitness due to the proximity of the gym and I can safely say that LA Fitness locations where you pay less you get more than you will find at the Crunch Morristown. I will be looking into canceling and filing for a refund over 1.12.4 New Facility in the gym agreement due to this gym failing to meet its advertised standards. FIND ANOTHER GYM or at least an actual Crunch. Over the past 3 months this “Select” Location has received little to no love from the owner (whoever that is) and is on its 2nd manager based on the email exchanges I’ve been having. If anyone has been in contact with the manager or has seen their email campaign you’ve seen that they promise “a LOT of changes”, well for a whopping $40.00 (Base) or $50.00 (Peak) you too can continually wonder how long it will take them to fix the leg press (black tape doesnt count, but nice try).You’ll find the following at this location:- The Gym is only busy after work hours (5pm - 7pm)- Worn Down/Broken Equipment (a lot more than the photos I have below)- If you look at photos of the previous gym the equipment that is shown is mostly all in this facility- Little to no “Crunch” signs- Paint color scheme is all over the place- Men’s lockers numbered wrong- Men’s Sauna has exposed wires- Brown Rug throughout the facility- New Plates & Dumbbells- Front desk is niceWe go to the gym to improve and better ourselves, so it is disheartening and downright disappointing when the gym itself isnt working to be its best self.

This gym is a gym that is not you typical gym. That what makes it great. its such a nice gym, super clean, and even thought the ceiling is low it does not feel that you are crowed in the gym.

I really urge everyone to disregard the older reviews. This gym already performed major renovations and the gym is immaculate. Parking is really not bad at all, there is one entrance to the deck that leads you straight to the elevator/stairs to the gym. I would suggest maybe a sign in front of that one entrance but its not hard to find after going just once. Management is really great too. Ask for Scott, he has been with Crunch for a while now, he can answer all your questions. Honestly go check it out for your self.

I have been a member of crunch for almost 6 years now, mainly working out at the Stanhope location. I was curious to see the difference between the two locations, and let me tell you, crunch in Morristown is awesome. They have a wide variety of equipment and the added sauna is awesome. Although the price is on the higher side, the added equipment you get is worth it. The employees there are also very knowledgeable and willing to help, especially Scott.

Great Gym!!!... I’ve only been going there for a month or so now... but so far so good..great customer service... very welcoming. I’d like to give a shout out to one of the employees named Jamari, who has been most helpful through my time at this facility.

Tons of space and equipment, also super convenient location. Only downside is that there are several people who go there constantly that clearly can’t keep their mask on properly. It’s the same clowns every time. Like someone else mentioned on here, “Guess you can’t fix stupid.”

Got kicked out halfway through my workout cuz they were closing to clean. I had no clue about this until I was asked to leave. a little notice would have been nice. Plus theres no where to park unless you wanna pay. and this place you have to pay extra a month because its select?? theres not even an available locker room at the moment. not my favorite.

This is a nice gym, well equipped and suited by its amicable staff. Koko, in particular, is always willing to answer questions, provide encouragement, and overall friendly. Would recommend.

Nice gym plenty of equipment

The same guy every day wears a mask over his nose with his mouth hanging out when he goes on the elliptical along with others doing cardio not wearing masks. Staff is great though, you just cant fix stupid.

I only visited this gym as a guest, since its far from my place. This gym has everything you need for a good workout. It has a hiit zone fully equipped. It also offers group classes, I only took zumba and its OK. The entrance is next to the AMC. Right now theyre following safety protocols.

This is by far the best gym I’ve visited in the area. I spoke on the phone before coming in to ask some questions regarding the covid guidelines and I was beyond impressed with the wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm I obtained in my responses from Koko. When I finally was able to visit the gym, Koko greeted me immediately and answered all of my questions with great detail. She really eased my nerves and gave me so much confidence about going back to the gym during these times. I’ll definitely be visiting again soon! Thanks Koko!!!

They are so cheap they keep the gym at a million degrees it’s disgusting and smells and not clean do not join here...unable to workout since it is 90 degrees in the gym at all times will be joining elsewhere

Since this was my first time signing up for a gym membership, I had so many questions. The employee at the front counter, Koko, was extremely helpful in answering every question I had.

This gym is more than a gym. It’s more than a place to simply workout. It transcends the traditional definition of a gym, typically a place someone visits to get in shape real quick. I believe this gym to have a family vibe along with a committed staff who is willing to do everything in their power to assist you reach the best version of yourself. I can’t say enough regarding the service and guidance I received my very first time within their facility. Even better, that level of customer service has remained true through my short time here. They treat people how people how they’d like to be treated and always comport themselves in a professional manner.I am a fan of good honest businesses, and THE CLUB, definitely falls inside that meaning. Kudos to Justin & Vincent who helped me recently making a decision which is vital to everyone’s health. The gym i originally signed up for shutdown and without any notice. They then proceeded to charge me even though i called several times for them to cancel the membership. The manager doesnt even respond. terrible response, terrible service, terrible gym. i will be filing a complaint.

New location is a dump. Equipment is old. Parking is terrible. First time I’ve ever seen carpet in a gym.. is that sanitary? Don’t forget to validate your parking ticket or it’s $5. I miss Morris Plains.

I liked this gym at first but then they just moved to headquarters plaza with no email, call, or any notification. I walked into the gym one day and the lady behind the counter said hey you ready for the move in 2 days? How am I supposed to be ready when they didnt do there job to Inform their customers. It should be simple to send an email to all your customers, someone obviously cant do their job properly.

Terrible location. You have to park in a parking deck and it’s like a freaking maze in here. I had trouble finding the gym and it took me over an hour to leave the parking garage. The parking ticket was already validated but the machine kept saying that the ticket was faulty. No one at the booths. No one answer the assistance button either. I had to end up calling the hotel management to come let me out of this. Felt like eternal purgatory. I spent more time in the parking garage than working out.

This was my favorite gym to go and I’ve been going to Crunch for about a year and a half. New location is super inconvenient to get to, took half an hour out of my workout to find and park.Not only was it an inconvenient location but the equipment is trash and everything is carpeted which is unsanitary. I know they said renovations will occur shortly but I’m sure it will take at least two or three months to get up to par. I quickly cancelled my membership and will find a place elsewhere.

Crunch is affordable, clean, well run and the equipment is current. They have decent classes and friendly staff. Child care is key for us and they cannot be nicer to our kids and this is a great price too. We love Crunch and keep recommending it to our friends. There is something for everyone here.

Canceled my membership after 17 years. Gym has continued to decline over multiple owners through the years. The gym has become incredibly crowded and somehow cleanliness has gotten even worse with the latest owner. Many better options in the area.

Not a half bad gym. But in the 1.5 hrs I was there I didnt see a single person put their weight plates back. Almost every set has plates left on :/

The staff is amazing. Everyone is so nice and friendly. A ton of them know my name and make me feel right at home! They go above and beyond to ask how my injuries are feeling and how my vacation was. #blessed

Very affordable. Not a bad gym if you work out independently. Other than that, you get what you pay for. High turnover of trainers. Manager is impossible to get in touch with if you have an issue. Front desk employees are touch and go. Some are rude or completely unhelpful and dodge all questions with youll have to talk to the manager who, as previously stated, is unreachable.

Love the new Crunch in Morris Plains. Really happy with the cleanliness at this site. Classes and instructors are are wonderful. I cant say enough good things about my experience and I am recommending people to try out the gym like I did and i can assure youll not be disappointed. Compared to other crunch places near me, its very sparsely decorated. But I like how simply its organized. The place is small but not overwhelming or overly crowded. Everything is very clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Whats not to like?I prefer this one over any other in my local area.

Accepts walk ins at an affordable rate. One of the best equipped gyms I’ve ever been in (to include gyms in Texas, Ohio, and the UK). Wish I lived nearby to use it regularly!

The Club is an excellent facility to be an active member. The staff is friendly, professional, and helpful. Group classes are led by the strongest instructors in the area. The real Ryder program is a unique cycling experience that will enable you to attain weight loss goals, while toning and strengthening muscle.

I joined around a month ago and so far it has been a wonderful experience. All the machines are new and well maintained. They also offer a large selection of fitness classes with the premium membership.

Decent facility but the location is only good if you live near it in town. Parking is difficult and the bathrooms/locker rooms are in need of an upgrade and never clean.

Better then any other gym I’ve been to. Yeah the price is high but it’s never too crowded and the staff are amazing. Definitely worth the $70 💯

This was my favorite gym. It was such a great facility in such a great location. Then one day I blinked and they moved to a $#%+ hole thats totally inconvenient to get to, and the equipment is junk. On the pricey side, but I am walking distance to the gym, so its worth it. If you drive, they validate parking. I especially love coming here because they have a great variety of workout classes, including P90x, and the instructors are fabulous. They really make the most of the 1 hour class. The classes are on the smaller side too, usually about 5 people, which means you arent cramped next to your neighbor. Theres a good mix of people who come to this gym, it seems to cater to everyone. The staff is also very friendly, too! Would recommend!

Probably the best gym I’ve been to. Clean, affordable and good people and atmosphere. The only thing(s) I wish they had were a hex/trap bar for dead lifts (can’t always use a conventional bar because of back pain) and better WiFi.

Really horrible attitude of female manager.Have been attending Zumba classes for $5.00 fee as non member. Today informed me that the fee is $10.00, they were charging me incorrectly, and she’s the manager, so she should know. Well, I probably would have paid the $10.00 fee, if perhaps she would have just said instead, ‘ Gee I am SORRY that my staff was unaware of correct pricing’. You’re running a business and trying to attract people. Bad attitude and a power trip is not conducive to attain that goal...

Its a clean and affordable gym and the girl who signed me up was nice enough.I only ended up working out here a few times before canceling my membership. The vibe is judgemental and negative. I walked in one day when it was a slower time there was a group of maybe 6 people just sitting on machine in a cluster none of them were working out. People make rude comments. I just didnt like it. Canceled and now have a membership elsewhere.

Good luck trying to cancel your membership. after a notice was left on the door of the gym i contacted crunch to cancel. they told me to email a certain address as it was a franchise that was privately owned. finally recieved a ticket number after a 2nd attempt at emailing a month later. and 2 months later Im continuing to be charged.

The gym itself is not a bad gym. Good amount of equipment and clean. Customer service however, is far from good. For as long as Ive had my membership I have constantly had to keep an eye on my bank statements as I would be charged monthly payments when my account was frozen. Not the annual payments which I gladly paid for, but the payments that should not be charged to my account while frozen. I was told by staff that my account would unfreeze when I scan my card in the facility, but I later found out that is not the case. When confronted, customer service was very poor and defensive rather than trying to help. This has been the most annoying inconvenience as it has happened multiple times. As a gym member, I should not be constantly worried about payments on my account that do not belong. Membership is cancelled, moving onto one of the many better gyms in the area.

With all of the unfortunate events we experienced at Crunch Fitness and are still experiencing. We cancelled our memberships permanently in the Spring and are still trying to uncomplicate this matter even further unfortunately..An extremely long drawn out matter with an employee who never answered the phone, called and created too many excuses for too long.

Jeffrey P. does a great job, he’s very sociable, so is George. Both make coming here enjoyable. It’s a neat Gym as well.

I have been a member for about 4 months and enjoy the gym when I actually get to go, I have the base membership which is about $10, you get a great gym for such a cheap price, much better than planet fitness. As far as the customer service goes I havent had any problems and the staff seems friendly to me the only drawback I see is the selection of protein/sports drinks which is basically an issue at any gym I have gone to from golds to la fitness if it isnt isnt the selection its the cost so I do what I can to bring my own

Terrible ethics. Unprofessional. Boardline illegal billing tactics that they literally agreed with me about but still said they were going to carry on with the practices because they techinally can through some loophole.

Great gym, never packed and clean. Four stars because the ladies locker room is hot as hell!! Hot air blows out in full force which makes taking a shower and getting dressed for work impossible since you literally sweat through your clothes. We keep complaining to the front desk and they keep saying theyre working on it. Im told it has been this way since they opened. Fix it, very annoying!

Absolutely terrible customer service. Me and my wife signed up for a membership in Dec, 2016 before moving to North Jersey. To our surprise(nothing was written on the website) the morris plains location was not open yet. We tried to be accommodating and use the a different location until it opened but it was too much of a drive for us. We tried to cancel over the phone but they try to make it difficult so people just forget or decide its not worth it. They made us drive there and sign paperwork cancelling. We did! now months later my wife is getting harassed by voicemails, and mail saying we owe them money. I called their collection agency ABC but they say we have to contact the gym to resolve the matter. Only problem is, is that the manager Charmaine wont return my calls. I have left at least 4 messages. She is the only one that can handle the matter and she takes care of multiple gyms(and she is the one we signed the paperwork with to cancel in the first place). What kind of establishment has only one person who can handle such and easy task. Then has that person bounce from location to location make it hard to resolve such a easy situation(their point again).

Huge space with tons of brand new clean equipment! The deadlift platform alone is enough for me! Nice to be somewhere I can lift real weight without an alarm going off...

Very disappointed when they suddenly upped and moved from Morris Plains to Morristown with basically 1 day notice. I tried to cancel my membership via a certified letter as directed. Theyre still trying to charge my credit card. Stay away.UPDATE: They want 10 days notice before canceling but didnt give 48 hours notice before moving.

Joined in June, convenient, nice selection of machines however two months in half the lockers are broken and cant be locked.. one of the machines on the 1/2 circuit has been scheduled for maintenance (ie broke) for a month and half no response on when it will be fixed.. and charged twice for an annual membership fee (june and august) not sure whats happening here..hope they can get their act together.

I was threatened by some loud hothead today. He alarmed the other member in the locker room, and the front desk was notified. Other members told the front desk that this man was out of control. The manager refused to cooperate with the police and give any information or any info what the other members told them. They also refused my request to ban the member for harassing another me. Btw, upon entry into the gym this same day, i almost tore my jacket on a broken jam on the front door. I immediately and kindly alerted the front desk of the danger. If anyone riped their jacket, or got cut on the sharp metal trim, i will vouch that it was present and the staff was notified.

I was told I could use all amenities at all locations . This is untrue and should be stated clear in the contract. Also mens bathroom and showers are disgusting and havent been clean or redone since nyspc left that location. :(

Updated for new location: Crunch Morristown is supposed to be better than the Morris plains location. However, inside the gym is old, dark, outdated and not worth what they’re charging AT ALL. There is no crunch fun and branding that made me stay as a member for over 2 years at the previous location. Parking is horrible. Floors are carpeted too which is gross.Can’t wait for the new crunch Parsippany to open, I’ll be switching out of the Morristown location ASAP. Was looking at other options and I decided to wait out this location to open instead of completely canceling my membership with them. Definitely had higher expectations for this gym given its new location hype and experience and I’ve been sorely let down.Ive cancelled my membership in December after 2+ years.

Nothing but aggravation dealing with anything billing-related. Customer service SUCKS. SIX phone calls to get an answer w/ regard to charges. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.

The reception staff behaved unprofessionally during our attempt to check in to use the pool as the Hyatts guests. We waited at the counter for a long time, then tried to draw some attention, and then the staff cursed at us with an F-word. We felt upset and left in distress, unable to use one of the important hotel amenities.
