It was my first visit to Smiles West and I was very pleased. The staff was friendly and professional. They took care of exam, x-rays, cleaning and fill within a couple of hours! The dentist was fast and explained everything clearly. Great dentist. The office was undergoing remodeling, so it was a little dusty in the waiting room/area, but otherwise clean and modern.

This place is horrible; I was assigned here and they said they had no record of being assigned there; they had me call my own insurance so they can verify and after I hung up they said they needed to talk to them. I was really upset at that but whatever. I paid the price for not doing my own research. Of course they scared me and stuff; so I went through with services (when I had just went to a dentist and they told me no major services were needed) and was charged a bunch. I paid for what was done and After I refused services of 1839; and this has gone on for more than 2 weeks and still haven’t received my credit back. They told me it was sent to corporate twice and got nothing. My bill was due and to avoid a late fee or something I paid minimum amount. Every time I called the office manager was conviently busy; they said they will call back. I’m going to give it one day before I show up at their office and make sure they call corporate. Unbelievable. One good thing though the dentist did a good job with the work though; another dentist was impressed; but next time don’t take advantage of people!!

Okay so I came here a while ago for wisdom teeth pain, & they wanted to charge me an unreasonable amount of money saying I needed a bone graph etc, I went to another dentist & he said that’s ridiculous & took them out for $300 with insurance. I came again for a routine check up & they wanted to charge 2 grand for a cleaning & cavities?!!! Also saying I need antibiotics?? I was hesitant & said I needed to think about it. Also I did not even see my X-rays with my own eyes & them telling I needed all these things really was not cool. After that the lady said she’d give me a copy so I can think about it. I asked if she had the copy & she rudely said she’s working on. Idk what takes so long for a copy but whatever I said forget about it & her face lit up cause she didn’t have to do it anymore. I was more than patient waiting 2 hours for an x-ray & the dentist consulting me. Even the guy who did my x-rays was surprised that I was still sitting there. Idk what happened to this place I’ve been coming here since I was young girl with braces. Go somewhere & save your time & money. I also was reading other reviews. My cleanings are 100% covered by my insurance & I somehow needed to pay $100 the last time I came.

Horrible, I went to hospital as my tooth was paining. They have not given any medicine even pain killer, They have taken x-ray of my teeth and told need to do root canal . It was too much over price then outside. I told I will get back to them now need at least pain relief...they have not given me any medicine... they toldcme to walk out. I dont think, this is good dental hospital and Horrible service … first waiting time was to much and second there are not clear about the process there are going to follow...there are only looking for more $$$$$$$$$....I want to give half start... Please avoid and see out side... you will get better one in Montebello

Love this place for my son no other dentist wanted to work on his teeth and kept referring him to a pediatric dentist but my insurance was not covering it so they helped him out with his tooth pain they’re so general with him and they show that they care and there for their patients my son is no longer scared of the dentist thanks to smiles west 🤗

Was seen fast, did not have to wait long. They were honest and sincere. I would recommend to anyone. Now just wish I could afford the care needed also wish they could have taken cared of my emergency on the spot.Updated: Been almost 3 weeks since my emergency. I still have yet gotten the emergency taken cared of. No communication no check in to see if things have gone through. very disappointed and as of now would not recommend.

This review was long overdue. Smiles West Montebello (previously Smile Care) has definitely provided the best customer service and dental care for me. Nicole at front desk has been simply AMAZING, knowledgeable and beyond friendly. Dr. Shehata has made me feel so comfortable with any procedure I’ve had done. I always feared going to the Dentist until a friend suggested SmileCare in Montebello. My friend told me how kind and gentle they are at SmileCare. I made an appointment and when I went into the office I was greeted bytheir friendly staff who listened to my concerns and answered my many questions. They relayed my concerns & fears to the Dentist and when I met the Dentist she described everything in detail which put my fears at ease. I highly recommend SmileCare Montebello.

Horrible and unprofessional. Smiles West Montebello referred me to the location in Lynwood for a consultation for wisdom teeth, I scheduled an appointment and they canceled me the night before my appointment and they offered me a referral to the location in Compton. Compton then canceled my appointment the night beforehand as well and told me they do not do consultations and to go back to the Montebello location when Montebello does not have specialists for this. I have been in pain for over two months now and they just keep sending me back and forth and canceling on me like if I had the flexibility to do so last minute. Definitely steer away from this dentist, I should’ve payed attention to the reviews. All of the good reviews are fake pages like another client mentioned, go ahead and click on their profiles and you’ll see. They also charged me $100 copay for a basic cleaning which my insurance covers 100%. Will be submitting a grievance claim and reporting for fraud with the board.

My experience at Smile Care Montebello was surprisingly nice, I am usually very uncomfortable, however; the staff immediately put me at ease. The dental hygienist Karina was especially gentle and informative. The receptionist took time to explain every procedures and the corresponding prices. BTW the prices were more than reasonable. I highly recommended Smile Care team. An obvious 5 star experience.

I tried this dentist without seeing the reviews on yelp and boy did I regret it! I can see why it has such a low rating on yelp. They charge me for extra things you don’t really need, used scare tactics to basically force me to pay for dental work that is unnecessary and costly even when I specifically asked them to not do anything that was unnecessary. I wish I had done my research instead of just randomly choosing them.

The office has up-to-date equipment, and the staff was friendly and seems to know what they were doing. The appointment time was kept on time.

I am a huge baby when it comes to the dentist. After YEARS of avoiding going for even a cleaning it is safe to say I was started to have problems. Finally the pain drove me to the nearest dental office (Smile Care in Montebello) and I am SO happy I went.I have never had such a good experience at the dentists office before. All of the staff, from the lady who answered the phone to the ortho to the hygienist were VERY nice. This place has a great team and I am happy to be in their care. I had 5 fillings (yes that meant shots!). I have NEVER had a shot in my mouth before, I didnt even feel most of them. The hygienist had a cool trick that keeps you distracted. And while we both hated the shot in the roof of the mouth, I am grateful for all the effort she made to make me comfortable.I also got braces (it was a long day at the dentists office). Again, I was super impressed about how everyone took the time to talk to me, explain what was going on and what my options were. Couldnt be happier!

I have been coming here for awhile now and with every visit, the staff makes me feel so welcomed and cared for! 10/10 would recommend the smilecare family to anyone that needs a great dentist!

I totally agree with kity Gomez and Lorraine Sanchez. They are FRAUD I will filing a grievance with my insurance they forced me into a illegal co pay which my insurance does not have one PATTY was her name, she lied and said I had a previous cleaning with them through my insurance LIES I called and I never had one done..they never called me for my free coverage wisdom teeth pulling they changed me 260 for a cleaning that supposedly my dental didnt cover. Its sure does she made holes in my teeth and dug in the sides creating tooth aches now I need root canals ..I had cement based coverage from a Korean dentist best ever NEVER go here !!! I repeat dont use this place they are FRAUD if your insurance isnt pop they want money and will force you to pay or charge when u pay a 1.00 co pay its a SCAM and parts teeth are horrible why dont she use them to do her work

I WILL NOT RECCOMEND THIS PLACE!!! They are a rip off. Went here for the first time, I needed to crown 2 fillings and get a deep cleaning have my wisdom teeth pulled and they said I would have to pay out of my pocket about $2000-3000. I said well doesnt my insurance cover this and they said Oh no, your insurance only gives you a small discount. So I called my insurance to check my coverage. According to my insurance, my deep cleanings are free, and my crown visits, I should pay no more then $75 a visit. So with that said if you are looking for a new good dentist and want a trustworthy office, DO NOT GO HERE!!! I wasnt able to post this with out putting a star. If it was up to me I would place no star!!!

I went in the office this past Thursday Jan. 18, 2018 to begin the paperwork for my sons braces already stressed with the idea of another monthly bill to pay but Erica the office tech. took a double look at my insurance paper work and she discovered a glitch which lowered my out of pocket expense from 1040.00 to 680.00. Her experience and knowledge of insurance limits and maximums eased my anxieties over my sons braces expense. Thank you Erica.

Went in one Monday because one of my front tooth veneers fell off over the weekend. I had a scheduled check-up appointment for the Wednesday but they saw me on Monday to attach veneer. The dentist attached the veneer and offered to do my check up to avoid having to come back on the Wednesday. Fortunately the hygienist had a canceled appointment and my teeth were cleaned all in the same visit. Everyone in the office was friendly and accommodating. This was the best dental experience I have had in years!!!

I was looking for a dentist that was good and gentle. I am a very nervous person so this office really made me feel comfortable. I was seen by Dr. Izadi and his assistant who were so professional. Very happy with the service.

What higher rating can I give a dentist? My granddaughter is a patient of Dr.Shehata and she raves about her and the facility. She said, even the receptionist, Patty, is so nice and professional. She had a lot of problems with her teeth and they have been taking great care of her. She just had her permanent caps put on and she has a beautiful smile now. High kudos to Smilecare!

It took me a long time to decide if I wanted braces or not. But when I finally decided I’m glad I chose smile care mtb. From the receptionist, to the hygienist to the ortho doctor everyone has made me feel comfortable and confident in the process.

Unprofessional office manager. Office staff took two visits to find my insurance info. I waved my rights and had braces removed. Office is dirty. They have old equipment that they dont wipe down after each patient. Thats a huge health code violation. Was forced there after good office in West Covina closed. Huge disappointment.

Unfortunately receptionists are uneducated on the policies they have. I dont allow my child to go behind closed doors from me, so I request to go in with them, never had a problem, ever in other facilities. Today makes two occasions where I have been stopped by clerks harassing me about why I want to stay with my child. Its 2017 and we all know what kind of times we live in. So, there should be no questions about a parent safe guarding their child. I have no issues with the dental techs or dental doctor (I give them 5 stars). It is two clerks who have the attitude and a hard time interacting professionally with customers. So, if you ask to follow your child be prepared to wait over 40mins from your appointment time. Probably to teach you a lesson on how they want you to behave.

I really love this dentist from the first time I walked in it was nice and clean and the staff were very helpful I was looking for an orthodontist and met dr Kilmer where he was great my daughter loves her braces and they also made it affordable I will definitely recommend this place to everyone that is looking for a good dentist

I took my 2 kids for there dental check-up yesterday being our first time in that office. I was absolutely amazed how comforting and gental the doctors were. My 9yr old seen Dr. Izadi which she had treatment done same day and my 3yr old had seen Dr. Shehata which surprisingly was not afraid of her at all. These doctors had so much patience with my kids I will definitely come back. Thank you to the front desk lady Nancy for making my check in easy!

I had just moved here from out of state and was looking for a great Dentist office and Im so lucky that I walked into this SmileCare. Right from the start all of the staff was extremely friendly and hardworking. I had to get ALOT of work done being that I was unable to see a dentist for a long time and they were amazing! The girl Nancy at the front desk was not only helpful and knowledgeable in everything from insurance to dental work, but she also made it a point to take care of me personally and make sure everything was correct and finished. Not to mention also, she was beautiful, thats one reason ill definitely be back too! Dr. Izadi and the hygienist Karina were also amazing during my trip there and it felt like they actually cared about my dental health....like they Cared about my Smile...oh SmileCare, I get it! Back to the point, in all honesty I would recommend this office to everyone and their children and its an amazing office to call home! Care about your smile...and use this SmileCare!!

I love the whole staff my orthodonists Carlos, Gabriel, Mary, and ulan. Carlos is a very sweet guy he is like my uncle. Also, mary is a like a bestfriend. Gabriel is like a dad haha. Also, ulan is a very nice guy. Dr. Kilmer is the best he is very friendly and funny I Love The Whole Staff. I recommend this place for people who need a dentist. They are very Friendly 😊
