First time back to the gym since the pandemic started. I thought there would be a mask mandate, but its only for people who are not vaccinated, which is ok I guess, but... Whos checking to make sure people are vaccinated?. It seems to be all honor based, which is not cool. So I went around 5 pm and I would say 60%, maybe more, were not wearing a mask, including all staff. Definitely did not feel comfortable working out and will most likely cancel my membership due to a very poorly run gym.

They need to update their kids club employee. Only seen her 2 times a week when I get my child. She doesnt seem to play with the children always has a mood that drains you as soon as u walk in. A gym should have more energetic people that r glad to be there NOT people that hate the job and is just there for the money! Havent took my child there since that, i just go to the one in Rancho were they are very happy to work there always energetic! Wouldnt recommend this location to anyone that has a kid!

Many different areas with MANY different machines and free weights 🏋‍♂️A snack bar with a really great variety of optionsStaff were always prompt with greetings, sometimes friendly to helpSemi heated pool with lots of mini lanes for training 💪Indoor running track on the second floor 🏃‍♀️👎 - having an immuno-compromised wife, safety during the pandemic is priority to me. I lost a lot of muscle during the initial shutdowns to avoid being at the gym with people who refused to wear masks. Id do anything to keep my wife healthy and safe.I was assured by the staff of this gym when I signed up that 1. they took health seriously there and 2. they enforced the rules fairly often, not allowing maskless members to remain in the area, putting members and their families at risk.5 different times in a row, me and the wife came to work out and the same person was working out nearby maskless. We told management every time, staff would come tell him about the policy, leave, and the man would never put his mask on. After the 5th time of staff not doing anything about the same maskless member, I decided to not return and wait to cancel my contract after the initial 3 month period was finished. How many times can we repeat something before we admit they just dont care? Apparently, five times and +600,000 people dying, millions living with permanently debilitating illnesses isnt enough for Esporta to take mask wearing seriously. If theyd rather keep members who refuse to follow rules allowing rule following members to cancel and leave, its only a matter of time before theres an outbreak from a new strain one of these winters.The manager who is responsible for cancelations hasnt shown up in 3-4 days (so far), requiring a manager from a different club to cancel my contract.There are red flags all over the place for poor management, especially in the sense of prioritizing profit over member safety.Side note: if you place your name & number in their bowl for free personal training, youre going to get called until you make an appt for a session where they take you through incredibly intense workouts not ideal for beginners to convince you of needing the extra training. Beware. Its not a free training session with programming and annotations, its a 1 hour long sales pitch for personal training.

Great gym, with many options of machines to work out any body part and/or muscle

40 Degree Fahrenheit water is amazing. Relieves muscles aches, the mind after 3 hours of full body exercise. Swimming with frontstrokes, backstrokes, breaststroke. Recommends wearing goggles.

The best LA Fitness Ive ever been to and Ive been to about 10.

Good gym for both cardio enthusiasts and serious weight lifters. Only thing it needs is an area for Olympic lifts and it would be perfect.

First visit since XYL wanted to try out a different class. Very spread out, but lots of machines but somewhat messy in the back area. Stationary bike older variety, gave an iPod jack. Better then other gyms, but ok overall.

This gym is pretty large and spacious. The problem is the free weights area. So unorganized, missing and out of place dumbbells. Such a mess.

These people have the audacity to charge an annual fee after being closed for whole year, and barely even being open for a week lmfaoooooooo. Then when I call and say I need a refund on that Jocelyn gives me a big sigh with a pre written statement “well when you signed up you agreed to no refunds on annual fees” yes dummy that was when you were open and fully operational not when you were closed for a whole year and just opened lol. This place is so desperate for money. Have to call my bank to dispute their charges 🤦🏻‍♂️

The machines are from the 2000’s . They don’t clean thoroughly all the equipment. Weights are all over the place. No one follows the rules. They don’t have a night crew to clean up after everyone leaves. I stayed in front overnight because I left my cell phone on the running machine so I slept in front door in my car. No cleaning crew came. They have 1 person to clean the entire facility. The lockers are from the 1980’s when I first started working out there in 1987 same lockers. No upgrades.

Very disrespectful ! Was there to meet and look at the gym, walked in and immediately stopped by the female working the reception desk . She asked why I was there and then immediately wanted my ID and phone number . I was told to sit down, twice like we were her dog or something ! Fire that Person ! Waste of out time, thanks but no thanks ! Not even a hello and welcome, we got nothing out of her !! She was very disrespectful / Rude ! No funds from this couple !

Machines and equipment are always available and the staff is friendly. Been coming here for a while now and really like it. Keep up the good work.

Dislikes and likes just like everywhere you go. Be ready for the random fees. Where I always get told “They didn’t tell you!?” I also dislike the sharing a sauna with all genders. The gym is big. I love the yoga classes. They also fix the equipment pretty quickly. The staff is really nice.

Its very clean. My only snag is when peoople put their stuff by one machine and go and work on another.The second thing is, some women need to be educated re modesty and cleanliness.We dont wash our clothes in rhe sink in the buff..😡

Great place to go workout. Clean gym and a lot of machines to use. Free weights are accessible also. There is not a basketball gym. 4 stars because in order to access the pool, sauna, jacuzzi, or cold pool, you have to walk outside behind the building in order to get to it. Its somewhat weird set up and can be scary if its dark.

Just started coming to the Montclair LA fitness and Im adjusting. Im used to the Riverside location but since moving here Ive had nothing but good experiences. Management is super cool!!! I like how they have a a little store with really cute workout gear for girls and they have a smoothie bar which is a total plus. Riverside does not have this.

Esporta Fitness? Am i still a member at LA Fitness? I guess Ill find out tomorrow.

Good location. Good amount of equipment. My complaint is that people sit on the equipment staring at their phones for up to 30 minutes at a time. This prevents others from completing their routines. The staff is friendly but will not intervene. I have also had items stolen-luckily nothing of great value.

I ended my long-time membership with LA Fitness because of this location. While my experience at other locations warranted little to no complaint, this location is simply lacking to say the least. .While the cleaning staff does all they can to keep up the Gym, the Gym itself is simply grungy. The mens locker room is disgusting. No amount of cleaning would help. They desperately need a make over. Furthermore, given the grungy atmosphere (especially in the mens locker room), they should at least offer sanitizing spray bottles to clean machines down. I had to bring my own.While I understand that customer service can be taxing, the staff at this location just seemed unwelcoming. They seemed to be off in their own little world. Furthermore, when I did approach them about an issue I had on the Gym floor, it soon became apparent that they were all cliquey with both staff and Gym members, which didnt give me any indication that my issue would be resolved (which is why I left).Overall, theres plenty of other gyms in the area you have to choose from. Id do my homework before signing up here. LA Fitnesss high standards are not applied here. This location desperately needs work.

This one is pretty good. Its very large, maybe too large for some peoples taste. The jacuzzi did have a little dirt in the bubbles but it wasnt a big deal. My biggest gripe with this facility is that you need to walk outdoors to access the pool from the locker rooms.

This was my first visit to the Montclair location and to my surprise it was very spacious and loaded with enough treadmills and exercise equipment for everyone. I visited around 1pm.

JOSEPH gave such a bad experience to my wife, trying to sell a membership when she brought her mom to a class and was asking for a GUEST pass. Maybe my wife should not have bring her mom, but being an ass and making claims that she might be one of those people that go from gym to gym getting freebies is not a way to sell, nor asking them to pay 15 dollars for the day and giving them such a bad attitude. I pay 29.99 for a monthly membership and my wife pays 24.99, almost 60 bucks a month, therefore the treatment of an already customer SHOULD be better.Now, guess what, the mom ended up loving the class after JOSEPHS manager let her in, but because of JOSEPH she will not be joining. A customer lost. Bad experience with this rep.

I signed up at LA Fitness center on January 15th, excited and recommitted to get back in shape. But when I showed up yesterday, the 19th on the first day for my complementary training with Mireya one of their personal trainers, I was ignored. I had a 1pm appointment. I got there a few minutes early signed in and sat on the chair waiting. The lady at the desk walked over to Mireya desk and informed her I had arrived. I sat there while she played on her phone.I got up went to the bathroom, whe was using her personal phone. When I was coming back to the chair, she was now leaning forward still on her phone, never looking up. The young man sitting at his desk next to her nodded his head at me, so I sat again waiting for Mireya, but she never came to me. I finally just left without being seen, I never got a call after I left also. It was obvious that Mireya did not want to attend to me. Since my contract gave me 5 days from the initial agreement to cancel, I went home and wrote a.letter to cancel my membership and hand walked it in per my written contract. I also emailed my cancelation to the email given on the contract. When I went in to turn in the cancelation letter. The young man, one of the personal trainers, who was present and sitting next to Mireya at his desk when I came in at 1pm for my appointment, came to the front desk where I stood handing in my letter. Instead of giving an explanation as to why I was ignored, he tried to tell me I could not turn the letter in directly. The lady at the front desk who scans in the customers was refusing to take the letter. The . It was obvious that none of them knew the terms of the contract for their facility. I left the contract with the lady at the desk, who was reluctant to take it. I informed her that my contract allowed me to walk in my letter of cancellation. I dont know if it will be delivered to the proper office, but I have a record on my computer, and a copy of the email I sent. If they deny the cancellation occurred on time and charges my a penalty, I will take further measures. I will now seek better service at another fitness center8/21/2021: This review is for LA Fitness who as at this location when the incident occurred.

Im so happy this LA Fitness reopened! Its so much better. New equipment, paint, carpet, pool etc. The workers arent too friendly except for the guy that works at the front counter when I go at nights. Hes really nice. The gym even has a little day care center so theres no excuses not to go!

Used to be private gym then became LA fitness. This place has a tracking floor (6 laps=1mile) new/clean environment. The only ding was entrance to sauna/pool. Have to exit outdoor about 50 ft and this can get real cold sometimes

Very clean, machines are well kept up, friendly helpful staff. Easy parking. They fixed it up nice from how Holiday or whoever the previous owners had it. Access to the pool and all is a little odd, but no big deal. AND...They finally have wifi!!! I can watch my own stuff on my iPad now, in addition to the cable channels at the cardio machines. I like the Montclair one best, but all the others in the area would get about the same comments and rating.

Very nice facility. The machines are always available without wait. Often hard to tell who works here. The staff is hardly ever wearing LA fitness gear. Ive never seen this at any other LA Fitness facilities.

Since this gym became L.A. Fitness, it is just great. Perfectly meets my needs. Staff are friendly and helpful, and dont bug you about buying extra services. I just want to go, and do my workout without problems.When this gym was still Ballys, it was terrible. Staff were the opposite of helpful, the gym wasnt kept up, machines broke and werent fixed, showers dirty with puddles on the floor. Now, the only problems I see are two, present before the remodel, but unchanged. To get from the locker rooms to the pool area, one must exit the building and re-enter - a big hassle when its cold, raining or very hot out. The other oddity is that the toilets and sinks are in SEPARATE rooms, discouraging hand washing. Other than that, fine.

Service is good. There are enough machines to workout with. Perhaps a great gym that mainly has enough equipment that are up-to-date.

I am a Professional dancer/singer, Lupus and Fibromyalgia Advocate. Business woman in the area, a high level Google Guide doing my job currently in the city of Montclair. I have visited the place only a few times, so far the place looks great. Super clean and odor free. Facility is very well designed and arranged. More to come as soon as I view the spa and pool areas.

By far one of my favorite LA fitness to go to. Very spacious, clean. Very rarely do you come across a broken machine that isnt fixed with in a timely manner.

Its got the best parking out of all the gyms in the inland empire, including other branded gyms such as Golds. There were times where i found cockroaches and other weird stuff in the weight room so it definitely needs an inside clean up. It gets packed really easy and is hard to find equipment due to everyone hoging it for an undesirable amount of time, wether its because they have their phones stuck to their ears or just socializing and not paying attention to their workout. The gym equipment needs an upgrade and needs more squat racks in my opinion. The staff minds their business and dont interact with you unless you do, which is great. The popular problem that i hear about this gym is that in order to get to the pool and sauna, you have to go through the bathrooms and around the building just to get there, even though theres a fat door in the weight room that leads to it directly. Overall, its not the best gym by far but the one of the few that is cheap and not corporate.

I been a member for a long time and witnessed the transition. Big club now with lots of variety to workout. That said, the weight area is always a mess; unorganized and dumbbells everywhere. The locker rooms showers and bathrooms are just nasty. Staff does nothing to stop members from running a muck!

This is a nice gym and is super Big! The problem is with the SPA, always dirty, members never follow the rules, take a shower before using the pool, jacuzzi or cold water....

Went two days in a row, weights were all over the place just as left the night before. Also, dont expect to go in the pool unless you plan on catching Pneumonia. Seriously, you have to walk OUTSIDE from the lockers to the pool for a good twenty (20) feet. They should at least provide robes, or some of those heater-posts at restaurants or something. Suggestion: Make a walkway for the pools from the inside door of the pool, to the lockers... just rope it off, and put signs that say CAUTION: WET FLOOR instead of trying to freeze your customers to death.

Been going to this gym for 3 years. Decided to bring a friend along and give him the 3 day pass that were passed out at the gym. They gave my friend one day even though I had the 3 day pass in hand. Spoke to the manager about the situation, he wanted me to refer 15 people to get the extra two days. It wasnt all about the 3 day pass it was their attitude towards me. Lost a 3 year member and I now have switched gyms.

This gym is ok. Not very clean and staff not too friendly. Also no papertowels in the locker room. The gym however is pretty big, so is the pool but hate that you have to go outside to go to the pool. Atmosphere is so so.. I do like that there is private dressers in the lockers. Also plenty of space to park.

Today 2/7/20 I went with (Karen) for the firt time at Montclair.Love your class,love dancing latino music,not to much jumping...my work schedule is differnt every day but will definitely continue going ..was a planet fitness member,move to LA FITNESS, Im happy i did...Today was my First time Wednesday 8:30 am. Yesenia, an employee, at Montclair, Ca LA Fitness- withheld my ID card, my personal possession, to coerce/force me to sit down. ILLEGAL!I asked for it back, she cradled it closer to her chest and turned her shoulder to me as if shes being greedy over my valuables. She said no, sit down first. Daniel, her co-worker sitting a yard behind did not interfere until I was already yelling in frustration because she wouldnt give my card back. She kept wanting me to sit down first. Thats withholding my personal possessions to coerce me to sit down. ILLEGAL! Daniel then finally handed my ID card back and I received an apology from Vlad, the corporate manager (per him, but was given no business card or employee number for any of these people). However, even after 10 min of resolving the situation, she still had a smirk, rolling her eyes at me, and acting a better-than-thou attitude.I came to test out this facility. I was invited by my mother. And staff who use withholding personal property to force me to sit down is illegal and needs to be fired. Even after knowing what she did, she had no remorse. Retraining might help, but this is a huge offense. She does not belong with LA Fitness and poorly represents this company. Personally, she should be fired on the spot.Oh- other than the poor mistreatment by Yesenia; - Vlad, Olivia and the director of personal trainers were very professional and very glad to work with them. If I had worked with them exclusively, they would have had another customer with positive reviews. The facility is clean and well kept. Many options for me. But except for the illegal action their staff did, it would have been perfect.

I like how spacious the facility is, yes its a bit odd but it was 3 different businesses combined into one building. The workers are not friendly at all. Lots of equipment, plenty of free weights.

La Fitness Montclair has been the best gym thus far. Clean facility, accommodating parking, enough equipment for 100s of people, trainers are professional and dedicated to there courses. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Montclair!

Solid little spot, usually I go to the LA fitness in Upland because it’s closer to me, but I really do like the layout of this gym.. and the fact that you get cell service here versus the upland location 😎

Everything looks nice the locker room is funky and going outside around the back of the building to enter the pool is not good design mianly if it is raining. The pool area is nice and the rest of the club is nice. The only reason for me to go to this gym is because the Chino Hills clyb is now being remodeled once they are done I will go back to that club.

If you want a place to train and become the athlete you know you are, then come to the Montclair la fitness where they have sick equipment and amenities along with great staff! Rafa the OM is a very chill and helpful person. Sam, yesenia, Jessica, Daniel, Nick, Camille, Ashley and Kevin are the dream team at this location!!

I regret that the staff of this location dont love its work and facilities. The Jacuzzi most of time with dirty foam, a lot of members come in to the sauna room with tennis and complete sport wear, just some people wear sandals and swimwear as requires a sign in the place, and take a shower before enter to sauna room. No manager no staff to drive the protocol of health in a public place like this where every one is at risk of getting a disease or catch a virus or bacteria.The manager and directors of this branch office will be the responsible in any case...

I have been going to this gym for about 4 years now. As long as you dont need anything and just say yes to everything you will not have a problem. This club is only interested in getting money from you and if you are not going to add anything or upgrade they have no use for you. The customer service I received from yesenia and Daneil(general sales manager) was just down right rude. Its like they just found them or the street with no training . I would look around for a gym that has customer service as one of their goals.

Dear B**** cough* Yesenia,**Just know you forced two clients to disenroll their membership from LA Fitness.My cousin was visiting town and we wanted to go to the gym. I got her a pass through the L.A Fitness App. Yesenia gave us an ultimatum saying we can pay for the 15 dollar express pass or my cousin can sit down with her and it may take a while. She asked my cousin what school she went to and scolded her for not knowing the zip code. She has no right to speak to customers the way she does and she called me an a**hole. Avoid her at all costs she is short, average looking, light brown hair, with glasses. Be WARNED everyone.

WHen I had a membership 2 years ago there were roaches in the locker room lockers than I switched to the new Golds gym. There is no track at Golds or a ice cold dip pool but its at least cleaner.

Its a hit and miss with this gym sometime. At tjmrs its clean and other times its not. The front desk girl sometime is on her phone and sometimes shes not pleasant.

Do not go there Motclair Lafitness. The gym is OK, but the staffs overcharged than what they said to me. It was very bad experience. The staffs who are counceling with customers are immoral.

Horrible customer service:customer is always right not according to the mind set of one of these individuals working here works like a robot and when it comes down to pleasuring me with knowing that we pay for these services has the nerve to send me home for not having my keychain and when she clearly saw my face in the picture horrible and now recommend golds gym thats opening across the street. Honestly glad Im not working sitting on my ass while watching all the fit people come in.
