DAlessandro & Sons is the place you go when you need people who know what theyre doing. My old car liked to break down regularly. I first came here after having a negative experience with another shop in town. These guys were able to fix a problem the other shop couldnt! I checked into DAlessandro & Sons many times afterward, and I was never disappointed by the quality of the repairs. My only complaint would be that there were a few times when they took quite a long time to complete the job. This shop is staffed by excellent professionals, and I can happily say I trusted them. There were always a wide variety of cool cars in the shop, and I would trust them for any job on any car. Always fun to talk to too!

They really helped me out when I got my jeep fixed. Im not a car expert and dont know much about cars and they helped explain everything to me.

Its a car repair place my family and I have been going to for years. Oil checks, tune ups, break or engine work, emissions tests to other routine car needs. They dont do body work but there is one literally around the corner if you need it. Theres a waiting area, small things like headlights can be done right away. If there is a surprise or delay they can usually give you a ride and pick you up later so you arent stuck.

This family owned business continues to amaze me. Great customer service, quality workmanship, and flexible hours. I even sent my mother over on her way out of town and they serviced her car free of charge so she would be safe on the road. Love this auto shop.

Excellent, honest, and reliable service at an extremely reasonable price! Having recently returned from an overseas deployment, I had taken a drive to NJ from Central Massachusetts to visit some family. On the trip down, I realized my rear brakes were creating an unusual noise. My family suggested to take the vehicle to DAlessandros and I was definitely not disappointed. When the owner, Greg, found out I was only in town for the weekend, he personally opted to drive me back to my Uncles house so I could spend time with my family. Less than two hours later and the brake pads were replaced. No complaints whatsoever! I would highly recommend this business to anyone looking for an honest, local businessman who cares for his customers.

Our Jeep couldnt make the whole trip home to Baltimore from Cape Cod. These guys were recommended and they really earned it. Not only did they diagnose the problem and fix the Jeep but they also delivered it to my sisters house after washing it and vacuuming it. Now thats called service. Great shop.

Short story - dishonest business, keep awayLong story - I recently moved to West Orange and needed to find a reliable mechanic to service our three cars, a Mazdaspeed 3, Honda Fit and Lexus IS-F. I found DAlessandro and Sons in Montclair and was impressed by the large, clean garage, nice waiting area and expensive cars being serviced. I let them do an oil change on the Lexus and a brake job on the Mazda and was satisfied by the service.Then this past Friday I left the Mazdaspeed for an oil change. When you change the oil on this car, you have to remove the protective belly pan to get to the oil filter. The next morning we heard a strange scraping sound but couldnt figure out what it was. Finally I looked under the car and saw that the belly pan was not connected at the front, and had been scraping on the ground. It was ruined.I took the car in to DAlessandro and they put it on a lift. They said the detached belly pan was not their fault and they would not replace it. They refused to take any responsibility for the damage, despite the obvious evidence that they did not properly attach the pan when they re-installed it.It will cost me $128 to buy a new belly pan and more to get it installed. DAlessandro will not be doing the work. Im just glad I found out about them before the Lexus needed some work.

Very poor service. Obnoxious know it all attitude. $1000 worth of repairs and a week later had to get towed back in and suddenly there were new problems they swore the repairs would fix.
