The motor mounts were also replaced. What a difference...my car is so quiet now. I stopped by the shop and actually spoke to the mechanic who did the work. I thanked him and told him he did a great job. I forgot to get his name but he knows who he is.The only thing I was unhappy with is I was without a car for 3 days due to delayed delivery of parts

These guys are great! I needed my bumper reattached, and came in without a set appointment. They got to me a little while later - which was totally fine - but they felt I waited too long, so they fixed it for free! So nice to know there are still neighborhood repair shops like this. A great and honest mechanic is hard to find, but Joel is very honest and he makes sure that his team of mechanics are continually learning and staying current on their knowledge of the different makes and models of, old and new, cars on the market. I have recommended Joel’s to anyone who has asked and I will continue to do so.

I went to get my car maintinenced for a road trip and hes telling me I need more stuff done and it would run me up to 5 grand. Got another mechanic to do it and he maintenance my car and said nothing else was wrong all for 800 bucks. Dont trust this place. They are a scam and pray on the ignorant. This place told me I had all these issues when jnothingwas wrong.

Short story: we brought a car with a weird noise, we were charged 2200 and after a week took the car back with the same problem. Owner even didnt find out during the week what is the problem, he randomly changed parts, it didnt help, but took money for his unprofessional service.The whole situation: 07/09/2020 we (me and my husband) left place at 9th st Upland in two cars (one car is a commercial van), my husband called me right away and told that it is a noise in the back of his car and he doesnt want to take a chance and go to freeway. I googled auto repair and we went to Joels. They took our car, made a short slow run on it about 100ft to the garage and after couple hours of waiting owner told that to fix a car will cost around 1500. His opinion was that some bearing damaged we agreed to fix it. In the morning we called to check the progress and got a news that it would cost 1900, cuz he thought that another bearing should be replaced. He promised get back later afternoon. He didnt. Next morning I stopped by and he showed me some parts and told that is to complicated and expensive to buy them, thats why he will order the whole thing and it would be 2200. Promised to call next morning, and he didnt. My husband called twice and finally got an info that part would be Wednesday afternoon. Again no calls, we stoped by Friday early morning. Owner told us that everything fixed, but he wanted to make sure that it is no noise, and he needs a few more hours to check the car in a freeway. We waited the whole Friday and called again. Owner told that we can come to pick the car up. My husband with the owner drove it and the situation was the same, the same noise. Owner started explain me which parts he changed, Im still not sure that it was necessary, cuz the problem wasnt resolved. I asked put my parts back, and let me go to the other auto repair, he told that he already threw my old parts away. I offered him invite a third party expert to evaluate this situation, he rejected. He held our car and finally I called the police. Police came and explain me what I should do with this situation, thank you very much them for that. Ill go by the end, and I will file claim to the bar and court, and will do expertise.I lost time, customers and money with their service, keep away from this place and do not repeat our mistakes.

My radiator in my 2005 Nissan Quest had cracked and was leaking. I spoke to Joels Auto Repair and they were able to take me in look at my cooling system. I had my mini van back the very next day and the cooling systems was working at peak efficiency. The following day I took the minivan to Dodgers stadium and it gave me no problems even with the continuous stop and go traffic going to Dodgers Stadium. Fantastic job and timely service all at a very reasonable price.

Bad quality work. This place can’t be trusted. I’m very disappointed. Would have rather paid 3x the money for a good job.

My boyfriend just bought a used 2000 Cadillac DHS, It looked nice but it had a lot of problems. He lives in California and they require a car to pass a smog test before you can get your tags and license plates. When my boyfriend got the car tested it did not pass it needed transmission work and a bunch of other minor issues that had to be fixed. He wanted to get this done right away and after a few days of calling different shops Joels was able to get him in right away and they had the best estimate. With so much work we just knew that it would take about 5-6 weeks to get it done, but it actually only took about 3 1/2 weeks which was a lot faster than we expected. The customer service here is awesome too, each time my boyfriend would call the service manager was very nice and provided plenty of information about the car. He would explain what work had been done and how much was left to do. When he went to pick up his car they had vacuumed it out and cleaned the windows . He was impressed by the service and all the parts are warranted. The car passed the smog test and he was able to get the plates and tags. I would definitely recommend this shop to everyone.

This is the very best automotive shop I have ever dealt with in my entire life of 55 years. I will never go to another mechanic for as long as I live in this area. Always excellent service

I do not trust this place. I went in for maintenance and they told me my water pump was bad and I didnt have any problems with it until after they messed with it. My truck stranded me 50 miles away 3 months later and my co-worker and I replaced it and no problems ever since. Customer service is not that great either.
