I have been working on my own cars for years. When I discovered Matt at Matts automotive I finally found a shop I can trust to service my vehicles as good if not better than I would. They treat every car like their own. Wont go anywhere else.

Matt is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He took his time to fix my car and explained in detail what was completed, and what will need to be completed in the near future. I will definitely be taking my car here again.

I have a new 2014 Chevy Sonic, That was having some problems keeping cool. When I walk into the office, the staff was very nice to me and was fast. They were able to check out my car that day and fix the problem within a decent time frame. The price was far, if not cheap. The only think I can say about the shop is if you blink you might pass it up. Oh and it was clean too.

They dont do the work I need. I thought it GREAT that they informed me that and referd me to someone who could. I like that!

This guys are great. They look for ways to reduce your cost of repairs and save you some money. My car had a/c problems other shop charge $ 1500 but I took same car to swann, they only charged $430. I thought that was incredible, and this guys are very reliable.

Ive taken my car(s) here a few times, and each time I was given professional courtesy and help. I was never given a run-around nor had someone pressure me into something I knew I did not need.All the mechanics Ive dealt with there have been prompt in answering any questions Ive had and skilful in diagnosing and repairing issues Ive even had caused by a dealers repair shop.Ive already recommended this shop to various friends and family over the years - and I will continue to do so.A+ for always making me feel welcome and making sure all my needs were handled quickly.

When we first moved to Modesto twenty years ago, we asked around for a good mechanic. Several people recommended Swanns. We have always been very happy with their integrity and excellent service.

You honestly cant find a better mechanic in town. They are very honest and they do great work. I had to drive to Los Angeles and they fixed my air conditioner in one day. I wont take my jeep anywhere else.

Seemed great at first. I told them I needed my tire pressure light turned off (I knew it was 2 sensors that needed to be replaced) and I wanted to know why my car shook so bad. We went for a ride he told me it was the motor mount definitely. So he suggested I leave it so he can lift it and check under. I explained I really needed the tire pressure light off aswell. I turned the key in and signed the paper for 96$. She assured me the light wouldnt be an issue to turn off at all. That they would run the machine on it, no problem. So they call me with prices about the motor mount (cant afford it) when I got to asking about the light she explained to me their machine wouldnt work on my car, and that regardless I still need to pay the 96$ for the full diagnosis, even though the full diagnosis wasnt complete. When I got there I told them I was confused why they werent able to fix the sensors. The mechanic explained to me they couldnt do it anyway, because they would have to remove my tires, and that isnt a tire shop so they couldnt replace the sensors anyway. If I knew they werent doing the full diagnosis I could have paid that somewhere to have it all completed. Now I have to go somewhere else, pay for another diagnosis then have it completed. If they would have told me they couldnt change the sensors I would have gone to a different shop. They were getting a quick buck out of someone thats forsure.

I cant begin to explain what a relief Matt was when I needed a mechanic. I have never felt more like an auto mechanic was being straight up with me. I have been to a few other small business mechanics in Modesto and I would not recommend anyone other than Matts Automotive. Not only was the honesty a relief, but so was the cost!

I have been coming to Swanns Automotive since Ive had my first car. This place is home to the most knowledgeable, honest, and friendly mechanics in town. When I come in, Im treated like family.When the check engine light comes on, this is the only place Ill go.

Would absolutely not recommended to anyone! They wanted to keep my car two days after I made an appointment. I dropped it off at 8am they didnt start working on it til 3. The person who called had no clue What was going on and couldnt answer any of my questions. So I decided to show up at 4 my car wasnt even being worked on. Would never go back . Horrible service. Waste of money

Broke my front axle and I tried to repair myself which was a mistake. Found this place through Google and they did an amazing job without charging me an arm and leg.....

Took my car in they did a good job but unfortunately the reason I took my car in didnt get fixed it wasnt what I thought it was and they didnt notice the problem so probably need to return soon

My opinion from experience.... Owner is a crook and slumlord aswell.... would not recomend at all.... for anything.
