I had Alejandro Sanchez come out today to perform my 6-month maintenance on my new AC system. Alejandro was on time, professional, and courteous. He checked freon levels, cleaned out the coil and checked the capacitor. He then changed both my filters, did not leave any mess. I was very happy with his service.

Tracy Home depot was carrying an Ad for HVAC maintenance. I called the company to schedule the service.. so far everything works as expected. Technician comes on time starts the work. After some time technician tells me that they need to replace a accessory which would put more stress on motor in long run since the accessory is getting aged out. I ask him the price, its $200+, I give my consent to replace trusting the technician. When I search online for the same accessory its..$20. This totally unprofessional. I would not suggest this company.

Called Derek Sawyers Heating & AC Repair and had an appointment set for the very next day and at a time that worked for me. Ended up showing up earlier than the appointment time, which I like. They were able to diagnose my problem and running again. I appreciate how prompt, quick, accurate and friendly this company is. Thank you for helping me and my home!

The HVAC stopped cooling at night and being CA summer hot days, we called up Home Depot for same day appointment and they passed us to Sawyer’s company. We called at 9:30am & got visit appointment from 12-2 slot with $59 consulting charges to find the fault. ANTHONY from Sawyer showed on time and found fault with capacitor within 5 minutes. He shared additional $$ amount as cost to replace, we agreed and the system was up & running in 15-20 minutes though it did took few hours to feel comfortable cool in the house !Thanks for same day visit & quickly taking care of the fix.

The whole company is filled with very professional and friendly people, starting from the consultation all the way to the install. They were quick to make an appointment and then quick to schedule our install. I would recommend them to anyone!

Apparently the electric motor was burnt out. Sawyers was the quickest to respond among three services that I contacted. Technician was professional, let me watch as he diagnosed and then replaced the motor. Would recommend them.I should add this was the second time we had needed a HVAC repair in 7 years. Even in 2014 they had been the quickest service to respond. That time the capacitors on both units needed replacement.

I initially didn’t want to write a negative review but I think I have to in order to worn others so they don’t find themselves in the same situation. I had just bought a home and was in need of a new ac I looked online and decided to go with this company because they seemed to be a big well known name they came down to give me a estimated price seemed friendly reliable however I got my ac installed in November for 13000and had nothing but issues since. First of when installing my ac the guy said they would cover the hole in the wall and match the paint and everything when they were done, which they did not I ended up hiring someone to do that for me. Secondly they let me know my ac had to pass an inspection, they scheduled a few appointments that had to be rescheduled due to someone not bringing a ladder someone not fixing it what the inspector had said in the note etc around 3 months later and I had to schedule yet another appointment with them this time they said they had to make a hole in that same wall in order for them to add something for the ac to pass the inspection and again I had to fix and paint afterwards because the guys didn’t do it right the first time. Finally my houses ac passed the inspection I want to say in maybe may. And lastly as shown on the pictures the pieces they used were old and rusty and they didn’t even leave things connected properly up there I’m on the third try trying to get someone out here to fix that.I’m very disappointed in the quality and service and I tell all my friends and family members not to go with this company as it has been nothing but a frustration from the start. Considering I had the ac installed end of October and they have just now in July completely finished setting it up correctly Will edit review with an update soon.

Called them in an emergency during heatwave/fire season when AC went out. Called after Honey’s gave me a run-around and couldn’t schedule repair call for 10 days. At 12:30, Derek Sawyer’s gave me a same-day appointment with a 2 hour window from 4:00 to 6:00. The technician, Tony, called me at 1:12 to say he was already on his way. Showed up around 1:45. Diagnosed a bad capacitor to the compressor in no time, replaced it in another 5 minutes, charged me what I believe to be a very fair price, and my house has already cooled down less than an hour after he left and more than an hour before the originally-scheduled appointment. Friendly, professional, knowledgeable, better than prompt. I am very grateful and impressed.

I called Tuesday morning after discovering the night before my heater wasn’t working and they had Alan over within 30 minutes to check out the furnace. After finding out our furnace had more issues than we knew of and discussing how our poorly our AC works in the summer, it was recommended we replace our entire HVAC system. Mike was out to give us an estimate for everything a few hours later, and had a group of guys at my house by 7:30 the next morning to get everything taken care of. I never would have expected to not only have someone come out immediately, but my entire HVAC replaced the very next day. I’m very thankful for the urgency they placed on getting my house and family taken care of.

Im a little late. But I just need to get this out there.Last summer my hvac system failed. I was refered to this company. I called and scheduled a appointment. The lady on the phone was nice and profesional. The tech arrived as scheduled. After some time inspecting the system. He comes back to me and says, well it looks like the main board is bad and the blower moter is bad too.Its going to be about $2000.00 to fix. But I cant gaurentee this will fix the problem.Now Im looking at 2k to fix. That I just dont have!So no AC for us anymore. Mind you its mid summer so its in the high 90s to 100s here!Charged me $60.00 diagnostic fee and was gone.My son says dad lets get a second oppinion.The next day another hvac company comes out. 5 minutes later he comes in and says okay your all set!I asked what???!His diagnoses. A FAULTY ELECTRICAL CIRCUT BREAKER. The breaker wasnt supplying a full current to power up the system.$132.00 later and its fixed.I called Sawyers asked for refund for a bad diagnosis and they said sorry no refunds.How can a company opperate this way?

I am very disappointed with this company because cj the sales man made a deal with me to install a brand new air system for $10959 and he promised me if I apply to home depot to pay for the system I was going to get a rebate card for $500 so he help me apply over the phone. So they suppose to receive that rebate card apparently someone kept that rebate card because they been billing me for $500 since then This is almost 2 years ago and I call them so many times and explained to them the situation they said to me dont worry about it will come off and I just received another bill for the same $500 and it said scheduled for collection this is outrageous it sounds like a scam. All Im saying people out there just be careful with this company

My husband and I have used Derek Sawyers Heating and AC on two prior occasions over the years and were very pleased with the service. Which is why, when we needed to replace our unit, they were our first (and only) call. I initially spoke with Derek who set up an appointment for Mike, the sales manager, to come to the house to provide us with a (free) estimate. Derek was very pleasant and spoke to me at great length about the process and options. He was very thorough and made me feel comfortable that I was making the right choice by calling them. Mike came to the house (and on time!), and he too made me feel comfortable. He was professional and very knowledgeable about his business and products. I was impressed that he cared so much for his employees and wanted to keep them working. He was willing to work with his customers to make the project happen in order to keep them working. He provided me with an estimate right on the spot that was fair and with no pressure. He indicated he had some available time to install it in the next couple of days if we decided to go forward. I didnt feel the need to search any further so I called the next day and made the app. Alex and Gabrielle came to do the installation....they too were on time and ready to work. They were very polite, friendly, and hard working. I was so impressed with their work ethic even up to the end when I went outside after they left and found my driveway, garage, and side yard was probably cleaner when they left than when they arrived! PHENOMENAL SERVICE! Dont bother looking anywhere else to fix your heating and a/c - they are the best. My particular unit needed both a new control panel and a new motor, and they were able to figure out the problem because they investigated all the possible problems instead of simply recommending a new unit (saving me a ton). By far the best heating & air conditioning company I have ever used. They fixed the issue in less than an hour and explained what he found clearly.Im overwhelmed, and we will definitely be calling them again.

Super fast, same day service on a Sunday with no extra charge for it being a weekend. Within a half hour, the AC was working well again. They pride themselves on being reasonably priced and honest, and even leave the parts behind so their customers know they were truly replaced. We will call on them again if we need them (but he also told us how to take care of our unit so we wont need him again).

From start to finish, Dereks team was professional. They communicated very well and did a very clean and thorough fixed of our HVAC!I highly recommended their services!

Ive called six times in regards to my appointment and each time I was promised that someone would return my call before a specific date. Needless to say, my call has still not been returned. I am still waiting for my problem to be resolved. Save yourself some time and money and go somewhere else.

Derek Sawyerss guys are great! They also take care of the maintenance on my grandmothers system, my fathers system, my sisters system and several of my friends systems every year. They have installed a new system for my father and the parents of my brother in-law, both are working much better than their old systems. We have given him several referrals of friends and family, every time they get great service at a fair price. Nobody wants bad service and nobody wants to hear that one of their referrals got bad service. Call Derek Sawyers, they will take good care of you, your friends and your family. They are also one of very few contractors in California that can get you rebates from PG&E for fixing problems with your old system. They were able to get my grandmother and father enough rebates to cover the entire cost of fixing the problems with their systems along with covering some of their maintenance costs!

Brand new customer to this company Im very disappointment with it. I made an appointment to get a price on replacing my AC unit in my house I took that day off from work. My appointment was at 8am d nobody show up and no phone call. I waited until 845 am I call the company they told me. Oops we made a mistake the person that was going to see you his in Los Banos we can reschedule the appointment for a different time. I will never use their service bad customer service. Cant be taking day off work just because the they made a mistake.

We just purchased a new hvac system in our home from Derek Sawyers after finding them at Home Depot. They responded very quickly with good options and after making our choice the system was installed in 8 hours including all new ductwork. Even when I had a question they sent out a technician who was top notch to provide answers . This has been a pleasant experience with a good company not to mention how nice my Lennox system is and the 15 year warranty doesnt hurt either.

I had my unit install in 2013, when they put the unit in it started linking freon I called them to let them know what was happening they sent out four tech to fix the problem..they finally fix the problem after about for weeks of calling. Now 6 year later the system is have the same problem it just wont keep cool. I called them they said because I didnt have a six month maintance with them that my warrant is now void. they said that they will charge me if they have to come and do any repairs on my system.. dont use this company they do faulty work

I call Home Depot for my AC check up and Home Depot send a service man from Derek Sawyers Heating and Air, his name was Jeremy. A couple of weeks later my AC stop blowing air. So Jeremy went back on June 29th, 2018 to check it. His diagnose was a burn out module and mother board. He said they have to replace it and it is expensive. He ordered the parts and he said that it cost $1400.00 to install the new parts but he said he talk to his Manager and got it to reduce to $900.00. So I agreed and said get it done ASAP since my family from out of town are visiting. On July 5th, I called Home Depot to check on the service. Since I dont have a phone number of Sawyers my call was transferred to Sawyers and I talk to Ali ( I believe that was her name) and got schedule the following day July 6, to install the new parts between 4 - 6 pm. In the middle of the day July 6, I got a call from Ali and said the agreed amount that Jeremy quoted me was no longer valid since Jeremy no longer works for them... I said why is that? When Jeremy made the quote that it will cost $900.00 he is still working for Sawyers is he not? But she said that the owner (must be Derek) wont allow it. And also said if I want to keep the appointment for the installation. So what else can I do but to keep the appointment and to agree to pay the $1400.00. And to make it short I would not recommend Sawyers for any repair or check up. Sawyers should have HONOR the PRICE that Jeremy quoted the first time.

Been using the Sawyer family for my hvac needs for over 20 years. Derek has continued to exceed my expectations.

The level of service is nill. had them come out for a tune up tech did not do anything. said he washed coils and did a temp difference and checked amps. well my camera says he did none of the he lied to my face saying he did the work but all my camera shows is him on his phone. If he did do his job he may of figured out the it was low on refrigerant, the hose he said he cleaned it with had no water running to that spigot and the the temp difference was 30 degrees. never checked the air handler and had the balls to tell me that if i know so much i should have done it myself

Just saying, from experience working with large companies, this company has a personal feel and there service technicians r quick. The installers are people you would invite to your Christmas dinner, hope u give them a chance, u wont regret it, and youll save in the long run

I live in modesto I wouldnt call this place at all they wont fix your a/c they will just take your money I paid 4500 n my a/c still doesnt work dont call look somewhere my name is William Lopez I wont even rate this place very disappointed!!!! Now that are saying that mice ate my ducting why didnt they tell me since the beginning that that was the problem they made me spend 4500 first then after the third guy came he actually went up there and checked and actually did some trouble shooting and found put that was the problem from the gecko I didnt have to spend 4500 dollar for a new furnace so what excuse do you have there and dont say you tried to reach me when you havent called me one time ridiculous and I never wanted nothing for free i just wanted my ac fixed now i know you guys aint reliable just a bunch of thieves

Sent repair guy out and they said i needed $1150 - 1800 worth of work called another company and the did the work for $200 including parts, they tried to rob be blind

Terrible Terrible service! First and last time I request service from them, I had an appointment schechule for today: May 3rd 2018 the technician was so lazy that he didnt even knock at doors! Are you kidding me!?Instead he called my cell and because I couldnt answer he left! Called him back a few minutes later and he said that they never knock at the doors. That is what I call pure lazyness and poor customer service, definately not recommended, stay away from this horrendous company!
