Students who take over certain amount of credit are paying for the gym as part of their tuition. Furthermore, free first tour of the gym is offered by the staff (you need to set up appointment). Also, personal trainers can be set up for a reasonable price!
Well spaced for COVID, clean, well lit and friendly.
The staff at the University Rec Center are incredibly kind, helpful and well versed in their position.
$130! For each Semester if you are a student. Climbing wall and bouldering are small. open during this flu thing. Its $120.00 for Freestone climbing membership kind of (you have to pay for a year though so, $240.). And they have a much better rock wall and a full gym if your into that. I wouldnt use the gym at the university. There is literally a trail right next to the place that simulates the machines if you want to go crazy about it. The university has taken enough of the money I dont have. At Utah state university the rec center was apart of the campus amenities, like the university center. And the tuition was less to pay out of state there in Utah. Then to pay instate for u of m.Disappointing for me.Think what you want though. Its a place that works for climbing and standard gym stuff, in a convenient location. Its only a $30 difference in the end.ITS the principle of the matter! haha not really. But there ya go.
Great gym both lifting and climbing. Only issue is parking on game day. Its nearly impossible to get in on a game day and your parking pass counts for nothing. Unless youre ready to fork over some cash to get a workout better plan rest days on game days.
Provides great services, and there is a variety of equipment. It is also kept up really well.
Really great place to work out as a student, theres tons of machines to exercise any part of your body, both upstairs and down with a basketball court, track, and pool to be active in any way you choose. Theres also always people who can answer any questions you have and can be personal trainers if you sign up. Its so accessible to campus and its a wonderful venue.
The atmosphere everywhere is great except when theres 30 athletes. The equipment is wonderful and everyone sprays after use.
If youre a student, this place is Bad.Ass. it has a great range of workout equipment, you can sign up for classes for credit that meet there, or just classes for self improvement. Instructors are nice, it has a great view of the mountains (and the parking lot), theres usually a shirt v. skins pickup game on the basketball courts, and the track has a nice view of the basketball courts. There are boxing bags, racket ball courts, a spin room, and dance/ yoga spaces in the basement. There is a sauna, towel service, rentable lockers, and private-ish showers for the locker rooms. This place us WAY better than any private gym Ive ever had a membership at. I just hope its not too expensive for me to keep going there after I graduate.
Great gym friendly staff and Im not just saying that because its part of my crippling student debt
All your work out needs and a awesome basketball community
The equipment is great! Nice work out options and a nice clean space!
