Ive been coming here for months and have had an amazing experience with staff and trainers. However my new rate is 1 due to the horrible treatment I had with the staff member named Sylvia who kept harassing me and insinuating I didnt have a membership despite my phone number being valid. In addition to calling me rude under her breath when I accidentally came to the desk to check in not noticing another customer who was on the phone.
It’s cheap and I guess we get what we pay for. It’s not a hygienic environment, poor customer service, poor management. Above all, please be warned about the personal training. DO NOT sign that contract. It’ll become a nightmare. When they are trying to convince you, they will go above and beyond and treat you like royalty. Once you sign, you’ll be bounced around between trainers, or get cancelled. These trainers are young kids who decide at the moment what workouts you will do. There’s no planning or commitment on there part, and are very inexperienced. You’ll get tired of it quickly and guess what? You won’t be able to cancel unless you pay an arm and a leg. If you get sick, they don’t care. You’re still going to pay them $180 bi-weekly for mediocre training services. Look for workouts on you tube instead. They basically copy those anyway.

I’m a tru fit member for years but never gone to this tru fit because it’s farther from my house...but only took 1 time for me to go to get a good impression. I was so impressed that i often go to this location (3x a week or so) even tho it’s farther than my regular tru fit.I love that they have spray disinfectant bottles in practically every machine so i can clean after use, it’s clean, i love equipment, i love the employees so nice, i love the vibe, i love that it has windows to get sunlight in and i don’t get like anxiety.Only one time I’ve gone i didn’t really like music but it was only one time..now the music bumping.Even tho it’s almost 20 min away from my house, i don’t mind driving those extra Minutes if that means having a good workout.
Super BAD service. I have wanted to cancel the contract from 10 days after I signed it. I realized that the information they gave me at the counter was wrong, I wanted to CANCEL and when I went to claim the manager was very calm and said this is my first day of work here, what happened before this I dont care just gave me the corporate phone and I thought that would fix the problem with that. Finally I have paid for all this time for a service that I do not use, now after 10 months paying, I return to the GYM to finally cancel, because its going to be 12 months in August, and the manager responded Im sorry you have to pay until December, because of the pandemic your contract was extended Anyway the same story, she tells me to dial the corporate phone, but they will tell me the same. Finally where is the attention to the client? The GYM is not prepared with the prevention measures for this pandemic, everything remains the same, they did not invest in prevention measures, I honestly would not expose myself to go at this time, I think that the current manager literally DOESNT CARE FOR YOU, AS A CLIENT and they only sees the economic question. Now it turns out that the terms of the contracts move if we go through a pandemic, did I tell you if this pandemic lasts 2 years my contract ends in 2022 or what? And she tells me that that will not happen. Anyway the manager still says come 30 days before or your contract is going to be renewed for another full year in automatically.What do you expect me to stay in a gym that does not meet the minimum health rules? Those who were entering NOT all brought mouth masks, there are no separate spaces between the devices, everything in the GYM is the same, one more business that lacks a lot of customer attention.I am going to check with the City of Mission to review the necessary adjustments that should be implemented for this crisis.
I like going too this gym but the only thing that gets me is that the associates never re rack the weights after the gym is closed. I come in the the morning when they open and all the weights are all over the floor
Needs security lights early morning 5am.... Not safe barely see the entrance to building.
Had to workout at 495 today because Conway was closed. They are too cheap at this location to turn up the temperature on the water heater to facilitate a nice warm shower, instead I shivered through.
I been going to this gym for a while and it’s the best one around my area in my opinion. Staff is very friendly and It’s very clean. Recently with this pandemic customers and staff always with mask and customers are cleaning the machines. I recommend it
Place is always dirty, weights all over the place. Showers dont work, said boiler went out but dont let anyone know. Asked the manager when showers would be fixed, he asked me what I meant...if it wasnt for contract Id definitely bounce!!! Also multiple equipment out of order.
Everyone at trufitness on 495 do a really good work from management to the cleaning crew. The gym is always clean when I go, trainers are always smiling and ready to help the newbies exercise.
I love Lupitas classs but I dont like that the spinning classes dont start at the same time I have to go sign up at 7 o Clock just to make sure I get a spot inLupitas class so the other day I didnt make it early enough to sign up and I wanted to do the spinning class instead well the instructor was late I left cuz it was 900 and no show found out later she did show up why cant they start at the same time ??

Jasen Garza is an amazing worker! He does his job super well done. He never brings trouble into anything ! I’m really surprised at the good tasks he does! Great company as well you guys hired the best worker !! We will come back most definitely!!! Everything is organized ! He keeps it organized and clean and that’s what we look into !! They charge a lot for maintenance fee. The gym is always dirty, the machines broken. Be aware if you want to cancel your membership they will charge you an extra month.
Gym has pretty good selection of machines and weights. Water fountains dont work well, so bring your own water bottles. Many people have asked for the water fountains to get repaired but they seem to be overlooked for months now. I guess they want to make money selling the water bottles up front.

Rude and very poor customer service by employee Lisa. Called to speak with a manager or marketing director in house. Lisa responded with:1.) No we dont have one in (and tried immediately getting me off the phone)2.) Mentioned I could call another TruFit instead because maybe they will have one3.) Hung up on me with out saying, Thank you or Bye after I said, Thank you.Every sentence I spoke, she immediately tried hanging up. As a business owner, I know a manager or director needs to always be in house, and I know how important customer service is. Word of mouth is the most powerful form of marketing. Customer service will make you or break you. If this poor customer service is repeated, it will unfortunately produce unwanted results of lost customers. Also, with sales training, this woman should have been properly trained. This is a wrong environment for people to be treated poorly. This is where ego is dropped at the door and people come first. If she is not a people person, shes in the wrong work environment.

One of my favorite gym chains but the only good thing about this one is its the closests to me &ever rotating greeting staff. been loyal member for years, have 5 platinum family memberships, we go @least 5x a wk- only time a manager spoke to me, was to deny entrance because my membership was in transition for renewal 😐.their properly working machine %rate is probably a woping 75%there are only 2 tiny clocks in the entire gym floor, conveniently placed for employeesover all, not a bad place...half glass full kinda guy
I came in for an extended stay back home so I wanted to get a very local gym. I found this place and saw they had a 3 day free trial by using their website so I did it and it worked fine the first day. The next day I find myself running into a terrible excuse of a manager explaining how much it costs for a week or a month. I explained that I had a free trial voucher and was told that I needed local ID in order to qualify. I was okay with paying for the time spent there but a local ID clause that she pulled out of some nether regions was the slimiest thing Ive ever heard. I went to golds gym instead and gladly paid for a short term membership which was actually cheaper and with much better facilities.
Ms. Nallely helped me get enrolled. Great staff! Always willing to help out as much as possible, willing to get out of their way to help a costumer.Always clean.
Great gym. Good variety of machines. Nice workers. Only complaint is their hours on the weekends other than that its super, always keep it clean too!
I have been at this gym for many years and I can’t see myself ever moving! The staff is amazing and Kathia is such a big help when it comes to any of the questions I may have!
Good equipment
Weights are always out of place, smells bad inside, and lack of concern or care by staff. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this facility. Former Freedom Fitness locations though lacking in some equipment are much tidier and friendlier.
Its a good gym has a lot of machines but you cant drink water. Water machines have no pressure, I have asked many of the trainers and managers to fix the problem but no luck yet
Been a member since I was 14 now im 19 and I notice they always charge my membership and they also charge me a little here and there. They say its for the machines and this and that but I think its BS. They gym is always clean, same machines since 5 years ago. Water pressure is low so you cant really drink water. Staff is better than a few months ago. Expendive gym and if you want to leave you have to pay over $250
This place is not for people who work day time, Opens at 8 when you go to work and close by 9 lol y’all about being cheap knowing your gonna get your monthly fees.

Price is good. But thats about it. Equip is not maintained and good luck finding weights in their proper spot. Cheap price is directly proportional to the demographic. So have a thick skin. Im happy I didnt cancel my Golds membership.
I have been paying for a membership for a few years now. I wanted to go to a TruFit closer to my house and was told that I need to cancel my membership at the TruFit I usually go to and open up a new membership at location that’s two miles from my house.
I saw on their web site last year on November to be more precise a promotion with no contract. So I went, everything was ok I ask if I had to sign a contract and the girl there told me that yes but that I could cancel any time. It was just a requirement from the gym. So I did sign that paper and went to the gym twice that week and did not like it at all. People come to you offering you to buy pills, gym clothes, protein shakes etc and all that while you are exercising. So the next week I went to cancel my subscription and the lady there did not let me because of the contract I signed. I told her what the girl told me before, that I could cancel any time and she told me to sale my subscription to someone else that it was the only way to stop charging my bank or bring a doctor order that said I wasn’t able to do exercises. I could not believe that in order to get people to attend to this gym they have to lie. I do not know if they get a commission for each person they lie to but anyways, it was my mistake for trusting this Gym. I should have read first the reviews...So sad I’m still paying for a gym don’t like, don’t attend and with terrible service.
If any part of your routine involves dumbbells this is not the gym for you. No organization and all mismatched weights of the most commonly used sets.
Staff here needs to be more considerate and professional with members. Yes we all know youre the recruiter of the year for the last few years, but this cocky gentleman needs to tone it down when addressing members. In addition, what I recently found ridiculousness and bothersome was that fact that they started telling us not to bring in our own water into the gym. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!! WOW.In short, this gym needs improvement in many areas. Will be considering my options.
Weights are never organized, everythings old, cant even read the numbers on the weights. regret transferring here. They need a major upgrade.
Very ridiculous management, went in to try the 3 day pass and aparantly since I’m not a local according to my state ID I can’t try the 3day pass. Felt like the crew handled everything very unprofessional and felt embarrassed. For that I give them a ZERO.

Just moved form out of state a month ago and I signed up for the gym membership with Tru Fit club, specifically the Expressway 83 location. I have been there a few times and did not like it at all.. let me explain why: 1) the scarcity of weights and old equipment that does not work.. it gets frustrating getting any workout down. 2) lack of customer service 3) lack of cleanliness 3) I had an appointment with a trainer... she did not show up for appointment nor let me know... at this point, after all this, I asked the front desk what is the cancellation policy, the guy did not make eye contact and continued working on the computer and blew me off. I felt ignored and that my concerns don’t matter to them. They didn’t even ask why I’m asking for the cancellation policy! That shows to me how little they care about their members. Like you’re not doing me any favors I’m paying for a service ! I’m doing my part as per our contract agreement... do yours!! Do not go to this location! You have been advised !
Never had I had a problem with this gym but for the past 3 months they have been taking my payments but upon entering the gym they always tell me my payment didn’t go trough that I need to pay I always either have to go back home get my phone to show them where I got billed and payment went trough this past time they didn’t allow me in the gym because there was no manager I could speak with when I clearly showed them the payment went trough on my statement lady in the front desk just made faces at me I don’t pay to get attitude from them this needs to be fixed ASAP
Stay away from this company for your own good!1.Ive had random charges in my visa.2.They told me another gym closer to me was gonna open the same month i started....it hasnt in almost 4 months3.They lied to me when i did the contract,telling me i would be able to downgrade my monthly payment whenever i wanted to,yet when i was going to, first they said it wasnt posible then after making me wait 3 hours+ for the manager,he wanted to charge me more than 100 dlls4.if i want to cancel the contract i have to pay the remaining months,nobody told me about that
Hours on the weekend suck. I been a member since over 10 years and still the same equipment. Seems like they wana save money on the air conditioning because its always hot in there. Management changes constantly and thats a sign of a weak business structure. Instead of opening new gyms they should just fix and renew the ones they have.

This is for the Club at 1718 E Griffin Pkwy Mission Tx(Bald guy )in sales was of 0 help, I have been with true fit over 2 years or more I heard that there were new plans available since they bought out Freedom Fitness and I wanted information Heard the new plan was [10 dlls a month ] I pay almost [38 per month.]I have not using the gym for a while now but still paying as I had not canceles yet so I was looking into canceling or renew a new plan.0 help rude very arrogant basically took me much effort to get words out of his mouth for information.At the end he almost threw a paper at me to just sign to cancel the membership and advised me that I had to pay another month regardless because they had a 30 day ahead to cancel rule, I was charged on oct 28 and he said u have to pay nov 28 as well i could care less i have been paying that anyways but his tone and lack of care into giving me the information i asked was unacceptable.I would have signed up and gotten another plan but with this service I will go elsewhere .Also at the Ware location beware someone stole my bose headphones at the womens room and management did not help at all very rude so guard your belongings as no one will help you if anything goes missing.

Told they would checkout why air conditioning was not working in Zumba class. No one got out of their seat. Stereo is always broken. If it werent for our class instructor, I wouldnt come here. Poorly managed and feel like third class citizen.
Do NOT sign up for TRAINING they do not care one bit about you. I was injured and my injury stared to reactive and so I couldn’t train and my trainer wouldn’t want to risk it. I went to get a doctor note to cut off my contract because if my trainer didn’t want to risk it and plus I was in pain there was no need to train. My doctor wrote the note and the GYM membership took it so now I have no access to the gym but the TRAINER will not accept it and they say I have to get another note but I go to the VA and can only see the doctor 2 times a years and can’t see the doctor for another 6 months. It’s so annoying that they will not accept what is written in black and white from a doctor. I will never recommend them to anyone. I would not even rate them if I could. Do not respect Veterans.

I recommend you complain at BBB business agency they can advise you and file a complaint for fraudulent services.

It is a spacious, comfortable, beautiful place with a variety of machines to exercise your entire body. There are also cycling, weight and aerobic groups. You can choose what you like and what you need.
