Gym staff need to clean equipment, it is filthy. Pool is clean. Fun waterfit classes!

The only reason I can’t give it more stars is that I feel there are more machines not being used and using up space that could be used for higher utilized workout gear like free weights and weight benches. There needs to be more squat racks and space for using barbells away from benches for deadlifts and the like.

I have had issues with this company and this location. I was a member for almost 10 years, and yet they make it difficult to cancel. The employees probably get it just as bad as the customer as they seem beaten down, and you cannot cancel without going into your home gym, which is a huge pain.I made sure to cancel before the pandemic, and yet once the gym reopened I started getting recharged again. I was pretty upset, as the corporate call center was blowing up my phone and started talking about sending me to collections (over like $30..) even though I sent them paperwork that I canceled. I had to go into my home gym again to cancel, and the employee had the nerve to charge me for the month and offer to waive the $5 late fees for a membership I never used.It has been months since this happened, but I want to let it be known you have lost a customer for life LA fitness. You wont let me cancel without being physically at my home gym, but you sure didnt have a problem charging me when I hadnt been at my home gym for months, after I had already tried to cancel. Then I had to pay for a membership I hadnt even used.Id honestly go to planet fitness over this place. At least they will let you cancel, and not try and take advantage of the pandemic and their customers.

Good clean gym. All the machines and weights you could want. Great cycling instructor!

Masks are required for entry to gym, but not enforced. On each visit, I see several people either not wearing a mask at all, or not covering the nose. I regularly ask (politely) people to do so, but I don’t feel it’s my job to do this, especially when I get abuse back!

Cool gym good daycare

Beware— had locker broken into and all my things stolen. Staff was entirely unhelpful and totally unavailable in my need for help.

Great machine selection and floor plan is spread out which offers a nice separation between exercise areas.

I went first thing in the morning so everything looked very very clean. The staff was friendly and answered my question regarding the machine wipe-down procedure. Wipe it down when youre done!It was my first time to this location and so had to ask another user where I could find a restroom. There may be signage, but I did not see any (Mgmt might want to look into this, unless I just didnt see it).Its kind of a weird layout with cardio, weights, machines all on ground floor of entry. You walk a very long way for main restrooms downstairs where courts and pool and showers are. I think there were also HIIT setups down there.Anyway, its a gym. Enjoy!

Clean with lots of new equipments

Fitness centers are opening up again and this place is very clean, lots of hand sanitizer and plenty of space to spread out! Lots of equipment and helpful staff.

I chose this gym because its super close and as a AAA member, the initiation fee was waved. Its always clean, it has a good selection of machines, and the front desk people are very friendly. I like their early morning cycle classes because they work best with my schedule, but theyre only on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Id prefer more early morning classes on other days, so thats why Im giving them 4 stars.

Nice gym. Never crowded. Only thing wrong is the basketball courts. Both rims are tilted and there are never basketballs to use.

Beware of their staff! They tell you amazing things about the club, offer you a lot of deals and never follow up! I decided to try them out and they charged me $95 for a pass which would be refunded if cancelled within 14 days. I ended up cancelling my membership and was told I was getting my refund. Turns out they never cancelled it and now they still charging monthly fees without even notifying me. They don’t offer help at all, never going with them again

I recently rejoin LA Fitness. Alvin, the new manager went out of his was to make sure I was satisfied. He was very open and candid. Overall good guy. Ask for Alvin.

I am writing this review about the Member service manager, Michelle B. I have been a member of La fitness for the past two years and have never been treated with such disrespect. When I first signed up to be a member with the club I was given a tour of the gym. Within that tour they showed me the aerobics room and told me that classes happen here but when they are not in session we are allowed to use the room and play music on the gym speaker. (you can only hear the music if you are in that specific room). Ever since then I have been playing music and using that room to my advantage with no problems at all. The other day I was playing my music In that room as usual when a lady storms in. Im thinking what is going on? She walks up to the speaker and starts shouting that it is unacceptable that I am using their equipment. It is for staff only. Dont ever touch this again. etc. She then proceeds to pick up my phone and pull the aux cord out of it. I was so taken back and let me add very upset!!! I told her that Ive been a member here for 2 years and have never had this problem. She said rudely that it is not an obligation to be a member here and if I had any other questions that I can talk to her later. She then comes back with a lock, and locks the speaker up. Me still being very upset tries to talk to her again. I said, I think you approached this whole situation wrong. You could have just let me know in a nice manner that hey Im sorry this is for classes and staff only instead of yelling at me and pulling MY phone out of the aux. She then replies again with if you have any other questions you can talk to me later. and then walks out of the room. I can not believe that she had no problem being that rude to a member. I feel very uncomfortable going back to this gym. I have contacted corporate and let them know of the situation.

This a great gym. I love it. I used to go to the 19 fitness since 2010 because i didnt know about this amazing gym.

Im glad this gym is finally open, but the putrid fumes of raw sewage emitted from the lower level of the facility are disgusting.

Allyssa always greets with a smile. The gym has some new leading tech, machinery to scan your body. real cool. machines up and running and clean. great spot. Only wish the downstairs had better data connection.

Great place to work out. Clean new equipment. Unfortunately boxing heavy bags are all in the aerobics room and cant be used during classes (most mornings).

Love this gym. Staff is very nice, and spotted me when I was lifting. Really appreciate the environment and people at this gym.

So I went in for the first time to see the prices and the place. The lady at the counter was nice, its the F&!* sales people who are so rude. They force you to pay before you can take a look around. I wish I new the name of the guy who try ed selling to me so I could report him. Im never going to LA fitness, 24 hour sounds better at this point.

Good wish they had extra bathroom on first floor .I mean you have to to basement if the bathroom is accupide .. but t no big deal

Ive been a member for La fitness in Florida, since 2013. I moved back home to California this year. Employees here in California are NOT friendly, especially the ones who handle the front check in desk. I politely asked for assistance with my account and they refused to help me. They immediately got on the offensive when I asked why they couldnt help me. When I asked to speak with the manager, the front desk clerk refused to go get the manager even though the manager was there. I was so surprised by their treatment of me. Glad I canceled that membership. 24 hour fitness employees are a lot nicer and helpful.

Yoga, I love Wendy! Hope she is perm on Tues night. She knows yoga and needs more classes offered. New instructor Luisa is a waste of time! I leave feeling like I wasted an hour...not traditional yoga Im used to. Dont feel challenged and dont leave feeling liked Ive gotten worthwhile stretching or toning. Thats my reason for 3 stars instead of higher.

Every staff member is polite and professional, theyll answer any questions you have. I went here for a few months with a personal trainer and they were awesome. Equipment always looks clean and new. Weights are always organized.

The Zumba class with Azadeh was terrible. She was so catty and critical toward a few of the women she singled out in the class. Almost like there was a personality disorder going on. Hard to be around so I didnt stay in her zumba class very long. This LA Fitness club is decent otherwise, my wife and I just recommend another instructor or another fitness activity.

Solid LA Fitness offering. Smaller than some other locations and parking can be a bit more challenging but it gets the job done for a gym.

Barely crowded and basketball courts are sparingly used. Management needs to replace the basketballs and maintain the courts as its dusty and slippery at times.

First big workout of the year. Seasons here! Swimsuit body a must! Liked the gym. Clean, decent equipment. Doubt ill join tho. Just testing the gyms that r close by my residence..

Gym is very well kept and even on really busy times I can still snag a bench or a rack. It doesn’t smell like sewage anymore so that’s a plus. One thing though, when will they offer WiFi to the members? It wouldn’t matter if the gym wasn’t a dead zone but getting service in there, even with Verizon, is sometimes impossible. I stream all of my music, so it is very frustrating when my music keeps cutting off during my workouts.

Ive been coming here with friends and my brother for a few years now. Great place to break a sweat and catch up.

Worst gym that you can pick. The management is always is always trying to talk you into a more expensive package and they WILL tell you LIES. When i was finally over this gym. I canceled my membership and asked for a refund that they billed me for the following month. They didn’t said it say on ur agreement that u have to give a notice 5 days before the billing due date. When he brought out the the agreement it said that if it was even less than 5 days i will get billed but that bill will get refunded. WORST GYM EXPERIENCE.

This gym is decent in terms of machines etc but my gosh why must we all suffer in the community workout classroom when dudes have the audacity to use a private speaker to blast their music!! every time I come there is at least one dude doing this stuff. why is this allowed. No private speakers should be used in a community gym . just use over the ear wireless head phones!!! I don’t want to hear your vulgar music.also why does it smell ? I started using this gym because the Alicia branch is in renovation and at first I thought it was just a one-time thing but nope it smells each time....hope they fix it. bleh

Its a gym. They keep it nice and clean and the equipment seems to be well maintained.

Variety of fitness equipment, spacious Gym and convenient parking. Needs equipment update. Otherwise nice and clean and well maintained.

Beautiful gym, always clean, DUMBELS ARE ALL IN THE RIGHT SPOTS ON THE RACK, staff does a great job of keeping the place looking good and staying organized. Front desk and Membership Staff are all very friendly and helpful.

In 2017, all Gyms should be open 24 hours, LA fitness has the worst hours out of all the main gyms. The facility is fine, but nothing you dont get with competitors. The gym closes early on weekends!

Went here for the 3 day workout pass. After working out, some associate sat us down and tried to sell us membership. We said we werent interested, and the guy gave us a lot of attitude. Since then, the club has spammed by phone about 5 times trying to sell me membership. I have asked them multiple times to remove me from their list, yet they continue to spam my phone. My advice: Dont come here. Horrible customer service.

I can’t believe the health department lets this place stay open. It reeks of sewage. It smells like your working out in a porta pottie.

This place just spent over 50,000 in renovations plus new equipment .all workout floors are very nifty but downside to the place are the sorry,unhealthy bathroom and shower areas.nothing was upgraded,soap dispensers are flimsy plastic some not working shower heads not functioning right and the tile floor and tiled walls still display the nastiest case of very black mildew and mold anyone would think the tile grout is black but it isnt so it used to be very light sandy grey.the mens shower still experiences a fowl odor from the drain areas in shower floors and no curtains are present but,the least because if they were hanging then,they too would be moldy.im not sure about the ladies locker room but,the mens locker area isin dire need of proper sanitizing and desinfecting!!!

Gym has a sewer problem. Really smells. Theyve been saying they would fix for several years. Turns out they are in lawsuit with landlord. Wont be fixed anytime soon. Shame, because its my favorite LA Fitness gym.

Easy gym in and out even though its at the Kaleidoscope. The gym is large and had a lot of the equipment needed.The gyms doesnt feel clean, the equipment is dirty and the bathroom arent in good shape even though they are new.I think cleaning staff should be on site all day.

This location is a newer facility. Although I still go there because it is the closest to my home, but I had a very bad experience with the management. There are bunch of younger adults with rude behavior are running the facility. The womans locker and shower are dirty most of the time. Locker floors are fealty. Talking to couple of the staff, they dont like this current Operation Manager either. If they change the manager and his assistants to a more mature people, everything else should function just fine.

This place is always dirty. The locker rooms are filthy. The pool is disgusting. I have told staff about it and gotten attitude. OC health care needs to come in and cite it before someone gets a bacterial infection. Gave it a one star to get you to read the review.

Jacuzzi...Nice when no one bother me

Trainers and people who work there are kind and friendly. Except Austin, he never smiles when I ask questions or say hi. That makes me feel uncomfortable to ask him or even go to workout here. Sometimes, employees should smile more to welcome customers. Right? Or just come and work and go home?

This is my favorite LA fitness! Good free weight and decent cardio machines, Awsome basketball court!
