Clean, spacious, open air academy with legit coaches.We came from Maryland, and Professor Todd, my nephews coach, graciously accepted our three kids to study while we were visiting family for a few weeks. They were warmly welcomed and taught with the same intensity with our kids as with all of his kids. He has an obvious passion for martial arts and passes that on in his teaching. My kids enjoyed learning in this academy, and if we ever moved back to Southern CA they would be happy to train here.

I cannot begin to express how fantastic Todd is as a coach and a person. My son has been in jujitsu now for five years. He has made more progress under Todd’s coaching in the last four months then the last 4 1/2 years combined. This guy is a magician

Best gym in South Orange County. The people here are competitive and challenging with a strong emphasis on teamwork and friendliness that would make anyone feel welcome.I recently moved to Orange County and had difficulty discovering a gym, most seemed to have not the best community, very unknowledgeable instructors, and long contracts that you wouldnt be able to get out of if something in your personal life happened.I was pleasantly surprised to find the opposite at this gym. Coach Todd and Professor Marcelo Capo are extremely experienced teachers that conduct themselves equal parts professional and benevolent. Youd be hard pressed to find a better location to train at.Come be part of the family!

I have practiced martial arts of various forms since the age of 11 years old(I’m 23 now). I’ve traveled to train BJJ in Florida, New York City, and my home town of Washington D.C. This gym exceeded every expectation I had. Upon arrival, I was promptly greeted and shown around the gym. I was welcomed onto the mat and loaned a training gi as mine is being shipped from back home in DC. Every single member of the gym introduced their self me and made me feel at home. The instruction was top notch, comparable to that of many big name black belts I’ve trained with(Joao Miyao, Shaolin, Marcelo Garcia etc.), if not better. The live sparring was intense but very appropriate considering my level of knowledge. This is what’s considered an “old school” style gym with an emphasis on respect and proper training. After class, they even clapped for ME, the new guy, and made me feel part of the tribe! I would HIGHLY recommend this gym to anyone from a beginner looking to learn an art, to the “seasoned” competitor like myself. Above and beyond all expectations! We didnt know what to expect when starting Jiu Jitsu. My son had 2 years combined of Taekwondo and Kenpo karate. After we moved here, we didnt think it was possible to find as good a dojo as we left...turns out we couldnt have been more wrong! From day one, Todd and the coaching staff at Evolve set out to push my son to push past his comfort zones. To embrace both his victories and his fear of defeat. At other dojos, I would casually observe my sons classes, getting some work done, and hope he was learning something. Now, Im totally immersed in the action and thoroughly entertained watching the kids roll with each other. Stripe and belt promotions are earned based on effort and accomplishment. Its been an amazing transformation since my son started and now hes looking forward to competing in his first tournament soon. Evolve Jiu Jitsu is worth every penny and I couldnt recommend them more!

I was looking for something to give my youngest son an athletic outlet during this COVID time when so much of youth sports are suspended and we are in a daily battle to keep screen time down. Coach Todd spent the time and energy to make sure he had a great first class. Now this is all my formerly Roblox obsessed kid is talking about!

Having been around martial arts for many years I can honestly say that Evolve Training Center is one of the best gyms I have ever been a proud member of. My son, who is now 8 years old, and I have been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Evolve since May of 2017. The coaches and curriculum are focused on real, effective and competitive BJJ and Muay Thai. Training, with my son, and experiencing the gentle art is nothing short of amazing. The coaches, and team members, create a safe, family friendly learning environment for students from all walks of life ages 5 and up. No egos, only learning and advancing your knowledge of the martial arts in a clean, professional studio. I highly recommend this studio. We looked at many and met many coaches but this one is by far the best. The level of detailed instruction is beyond amazing. This is a TRUE BJJ Studio. Large and filled with kids that help each other.

I signed up for two free lessons. Love the staff, there all super nice, helpful and knowledgeable! I felt as if the experience was more personalized which is always a plus, and the exercises were effective!! Definitely recommend to try! :)

Hands down one of the best gyms Ive walked into. It can honestly be intimidating walking into an unfamiliar gym even if youve been training for some time, however this is not the case at Evolve. In many ways stepping into the gym is like coming home. Warm, friendly students, staff, and solid Jiu Jitsu. You couldnt ask for more from a home gym.

Both my son and daughter have been going to Evolve for over a year now and both absolutely love it. I highly recommend Evolve for your son or daughter!
